My husband and I were looking for clothes and in every other store in University Village, the largest men’s pant size we could find was a 34, with one pair of 36s. At Eddie Bauer, we were able to find pants up to a 42 waist, and even found a pair of 38/30 when we never find anything that’s both wide and short. We were also able to find women’s clothes in 2X sizes. For both of us, we found that the sizing was generous enough that we could even size down as needed. The salesperson was incredibly helpful and knew a lot about the clothes, helping us find sizes and giving us advice about how they fit. This was the most comfortable clothes shopping trip I’ve had in ages, and I’ll definitely be adding Eddie Bauer to my regular shopping list.

Phil is wonderful to help me get all my favorite items. I truly appreciate his kindness and willing to educate me about the brand and how to utilize best for the product. Highly recommend Phil.

I just tried to return a T shirt with receipt. I was told it had already been returned which is ridiculous, as I had the shirt and receipt. They told me to call customer service. No answer after a half hour on hold. I went online to see if that showed any problem and the website would let me return, paying a $7 shipping charge or "returning to the store". I called the store and they said my only option if I didn't want to pay the shipping charge was to go back to the store and have them ship it and I MIGHT get my money back but it would take 3 weeks. I went back online and hit the "live chat" button and was told someone would be with me shortly. That was 12 minutes ago and still nothing. Worst customer service ever!

Poor quality, rude staff. I thought paying for quality clothes meant getting quality clothes. I've had this shirt for less than a year and the elbow already ripped. I'm not a lumberjack, I work a desk job, this is horrible quality. When I went to return it the retail worker implied I ripped the shirt and was trying to return for defect. It's not my fault the material is of poor quality, but I will never purchase another Eddie Bauer shirt.

Google
Small footprint store. Brand is well known for quality, long lasting clothing. I was never able to find a heavy duty winter coat that fit well until I got one from Eddie Bauer. I’m tall with broad shoulders, but don’t have a large belly. Most coats wend up too short in the sleeves or super baggy around the middle. Got a Eddie Bauer jacket and it fits perfectly. Shoulders fit well, sleeves aren’t too short, and it isn’t baggy in the waist. I mostly go to this location to return items I buy online (extended sizes in plus and tall are available online, but not usually in store). Staff are friendly and I rarely wait more than a few minutes for assistance. Easiest to park over by the QFC.

Don’t shop here or any Eddie Bauer! I purchased a $300 coat here and after three months the zipper malfunctioned. I brought it back to the store. I was told they were purchased by a big company and they no longer honored lifetime warranty. I told them I only had it for three months. I was hassled and they offered me a lesser valued ugly coat instead. I’m done with them.

If you want top quality camping and casual wear Eddie Bauer is the place. This store seems smaller than some others, but it is really packed with merchandise. We found an awesome light backpack for my wife here. Eddie Bauer goods have the quality to span generations. I'm still wearing jackets from the 1980's, which also attests to the timeless style of these clothes. It's fun to check out the novelty purchases at Eddie Bauer, highly functional camping gear, etc. The staff is attentive and quick. We will go back again and again.

Google
Incredibly rude sales associate gave me a lecture about using Eddie Bauer’s own return policy. I live out if state in an extremely rural area and with expensive shipping costs I take all my returns once or twice year! Very judgmental experience. But I guess they don’t want my business so I’ll take it elsewhere.

Yelp
Three weeks ago I walked in here, not expecting to find ANYTHING, after having been to Lulu Lemon, REI, Patagonia, North Face as well as online (Eastern Mountain Sports...). It was a very pleasant surprise to walk out with two pairs of pants, polyester, dri-fit, wicking, etc. The other stores in University Village had nylon, floppy jogging-type pants. This store is small, especially compared to the store that was located on Fifth Avenue in downtown. But the selection was exactly what I needed. I will go back here for my other needs, though it's a bit far from where I live. Unfortunately, I cannot find the receipt that I presume was emailed to me at time of purchase.

Yelp
I called this location a few minutes before they opened, after calling other locations in the area. I was asking if they had recently had an infant snowsuit returned, as I'm trying to hunt one down for an impending trip and kids clothes aren't stocked in stores. I was promptly told that there's no way anyone would know that, and that this is one of the busiest stores in the country. Apparently "some stores have tons of staff who can go look for that sort of thing" but at this location they just can't. The first store I called had a salesperson who knew they had one returned, but didn't have time to look at stock because her store is short staffed and she was literally at the register. I understand there's a nationwide staffing shortage, but this person at this location was so rude and so dismissive, that it made me not want to shop there ever again.

Yelp
When I got home and checked, I found that I was actually visible, which I had come to doubt while visiting this store. The place was not busy, but as I wandered around forlornly looking for what I came in for, I was totally ignored - not even a 'be with you in a moment' from staff.

Yelp
Friendly faces and solid products make this store a favorite of mine in University Village. I'm so lucky to have a high quality local outdoor clothing company so close to home. Often times I'll get a catalog or see something online that I'm just not sure about and would prefer to see and feel in person. Luckily I can just drop into this store to get a real idea of what a product is like in real life. The folks who work here are always helpful and know their stuff. It's not a huge store but they always know where everything is - that makes my life so much easier when I'm short on time or visiting while waiting for a table for dinner at a nearby restaurant. EB is my go to store for family gifts - you just can't go wrong with something from them!

Yelp
20 minutes on hold to verify an item was in stock. Clearly no one was coming back to the phone to give an answer so I hung up and called back. "I guess I forgot about you. It's busy here." Wow, how short-term is that memory? If that's the level of customer service provided, I'll go elsewhere.

Yelp
Eddie Bauer is my go to outdoor brand because I like supporting a company with local roots and their gear truly does stand the test of time in the outdoors. I used to go to the Northgate store before it shutdown and got to know quite a few of the people that worked there. The store here is smaller but same friendly staff that is always willing to answer any questions. I like Eddie Bauer because their sizing fits me for being a tall and skinny guy. In addition, I had to make a recent exchange from an online order because I didn't like the color I originally got and they made the process super easy with the desired color I wanted. I recommend you stop by and support Eddie Bauer!

Yelp
First time I came here I had exceptional service I was honestly shocked. Then I came back a couple weeks ago partially because I knew the service would be good and it was awful. They were being so rude to my mom who also spent like $300 and it seemed like they wanted to do whatever possible to get us in and out of the store as fast as they could. They were pretty rude and their negative vibes rubbed off on me. Probably will head next door to north face from now on where I always get excellent service b

Yelp
I've only been to 2 Eddie Bauer stores, and this one is so much better than the Northgate one. I guess any store's location is better than their Northgate Mall location. This store was well stocked with so many items that I never knew Eddie Bauer would sell in store because the Northgate one doesn't have as much of a variety in items. The store size is kind of tight (at least compared to Northgate's - probably because the space is pricey enough) and hard to move around in if there's more than a few people in the store in the same section as you. Everything is packed closely, so you have to really go through everything if you don't know what you're looking for or want to see all varieties available. The store is definitely very presentable and tidy with everything in place. Because it's so packed inside, lines can get long and confusing, especially for people who don't know how to form lines and don't understand how they work. I've been cut before by an elderly lady because she forced herself to the cashier in front of everyone, and the cashiers didn't do anything about it.

Yelp
I purchased a coat online and needed to exchange for a small. Thankfully they had the coat in stock, and it was an easy in-store exchange. Thanks!

Yelp
After over 20 years using the Eddie Bauer products, I have been shattered by my recent experiences. I have spent many hours, over weeks, reporting the incorrect charges, the undelivered items, and the repeat charges for the items never received. I have forwarded the pick ticket #, the order #, the items, and now sent the proof of the charges on my credit card. I had to close the credit card number so they could not charge for the coat and shirts AGAIN!! Each time I have to start again with a new customer service person. SAD. I am still out close to $200.00. And they cannot understand the double charges, or the fact that the items were never received.

Yelp
Horrible experience shopping at this location..me and my husband went in to shop for snowpants. 1. The salesperson said he would look for the size and even after 15 mins would not return. After we went looking for him , he ignored us and moved onto other customers. 2. Then we went and asked another salesperson for the size, after looking , she said they were available at the north gate mall and sent us there . We went there and they didn't have any either . 3. Then another salesperson, trying to sell me the snowpants said I could get them altered at Nordstrom for $15 and I bought them . Turns out they charge $56 for it. Wish they wouldn't give out wrong information.

Yelp
I had a terrible and humiliating/embarrassing experience this morning at Seattle U Village Eddie Bauer store, and can tell you the name of the clerk who worked there this morning, Josh. First thing he said to me when I walked into the store and asked about ordering online, was 'I don't have time to help you b/c I am the only person working here today'. Okay, I asked if I could do it myself on the store iPAD (that was what I had always done before in the store since they don't carry petite sizes in the store site), he said 'No, that is only for training purpose, and you would have to call to place order'. Okay, I accepted that answer too, and asked if I could use a store phone to place order, he said 'No, use your own phone'. Alright, after a few words later, he said abruptly to me:'if you don't stop talking .....I will ask you to leave the store!!' What? What did I say or do to get this treatment? I asked another customer nearby, 'have I said or done anything insulting or something unreasonable to get this humiliation from him?' She said 'No, he is just been unprofessional, maybe b/c your accent'! Alright, who grants that grouchy clerk the right to talk to me that way? I will stop shopping at Eddie Bauer from now on regardless most of the time in the past I have had good experience shopping there!!!

Yelp
I've visited a few Eddie Bauer stores and found this location to be well stocked and encountered clerks who knew their product. This location will be my location of choice when shopping for this product.
