It's good seafood but not near the best I've ever had, no what makes this place shine is the impeccable service. Without a doubt I have never felt so taken care of by a waiter. Japanese politeness and Texas's famous southern hospitality couldn't compare to what I experienced here. I walked in 30min before closing after a long workday myself yet somehow my server (Danny) who had been on shift for roughly 6hrs was as chipper and friendly as can be, making sure I enjoyed my meal as much as possible. I get it's their job and they're working for a tip but dang, well done.

Google
Excellent dinner here! Amazing seafood (I loved the sea bass and the scallops) and meat. I really enjoyed my beet salad as well—it came with plenty of burrata and it was well salted. Great service from our server John and the ambiance with the live music was nice. Also they have nice restrooms! Would definitely go back, especially before going to the Boston Pops.

Google
Top notch service, my waiter Mac and his team were amazing, he was attentive and had a great personality. Thanks Mac!!! I had ordered lobster bisque, 1/2 dozen oysters, lobster taco, crab cakes which were all good beside the steak tartare. It was salty :/ we had also ordered 18oz prime bone in New York strip with smoked chili rub and that was a big huge mistake. I give this steakhouse 6/10

*****5 star experience***** Ambiance: Dim lighting, smooth jazz *Standouts: Chilean Sea Bass Truffle Mac and Cheese Cashew Brussel Sprouts Cheddar Au Gratin Potatoes Banana Cake Dessert *****Occasion: BosTon ResTaurant Week***** My CockTail Choice: EspressoTini (One Dark and One Light) AppeTizers: Caesar Salads ****Party of Four**** Server Name: Ariella Russell -- Ariella was so friendly and knowledgable. She provided us with complimentary champagne since some our food took longer than expected. Very appreciated! A+++ We were provided with fresh rolls and butter. My other companions ordered steaks which seemed to be satisfactory. Both were cooked to the correct temperatures. We attended for restaurant week which turned out to be a good value. Before being seated, we sat at the bar for a nice premeal cocktail. My friend got a passionfruit/guava mojito. The espressotinis were fine. No complaints. Overall, I enjoyed my first dining experience at Eddie V's. The Chilean Sea Bass was the PERFECT entree and the banana cake dessert hit the SPOT! I will definitely return.

Where do I start. As a restaurant owner, chef and huge foodie its hard to impress me. My Lady and I visited Boston for the first time and wanted a nice evening out our last night. We weren't disappointed. From the server, the maitre'd, manager and the band we were wow'd. Let's not forget the chef that made our Lobster bisk. One of my all time favorites..these guys do it right! 10 out of 10! Surprisingly for a Saturday evening we found ourselves alone in the bar near the end with the whole band to ourselves. I've forgotten their name. But very cool. Very old-school jazz! Just before ending the night they asked us if you'd like a song or two. My Girl and I of course danced as if no one was watching; to Lady in Red by Chris De burgh and finished off with some Neil Diamond. What an amazing evening. Thank you.

Google
Atmosphere was amazing. Beautiful restaurant, beautiful bar, beautiful presentation of high end bottles, live music. Food was impeccable. Some of the best scallops i have ever tasted! Wedge salad was perfect and plentiful. Oysters were shucked perfectly, and the banana foster dessert was to die for! Would like to see a few more items added to menu and service needs work

First time visitor to Boston. Eddie V’s is our spot regardless of the state. Shout out to Ashley whose service was on point. She was very attention and made sure we were straight. We ordered a lot and everything was good (receipt posted below). Shout out to the manager Zaara who was also on point. She made sure we enjoyed our food and had great conversation. We would definitely return.

Google
I absolutely love this restaurant. It was my very first visit and I really enjoyed my time there. The reception was great. I had the crab cakes as a appetizer and it was the best crab cake I've ever had. The lamb chop and steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. The drinks were also very good. It was worth every bit of the price . The waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful and did his job well. I will definitely recommend and return.

Yelp
This time around we came here to celebrate with our clients' sale of their house. Our waiter, Mac, pulled out all the shots and gave us complimentary champagne and congratulatory desserts and ran through the menu with our clients from start to finish since it was their first time dining there. We had a great time talking to Mac as our conversations ranged multiple topics. I had ordered an espresso martini (you shouldn't be surprised) without Bailey's and it was brought with so even though Mac put in the order without, the correct variation arrived without cost. It was kinda nice having one on each side! A couple food items: The lobster tacos were very delicious, where the freshly-made tortilla wasn't thick at all and had a nice crispness which allowed the tastebuds to wrap around the lobster meat and grilled corn pico de gallo much more satisfactorily. The 22oz bone-in ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare, juicy, not too salty, and had a nice thin crust. During our time dining, we heard a jazz band playing and discovered there's one playing everyday at the bar area. So we stayed around for a few more songs and watched some of the Celtics game! Note: they have no valet parking but they do validate.

Yelp
This was on 9/17/23 for a big birthday celebration dinner. The location and ambiance of the restaurant is great. Parking in Boston is a bear but there is parking below the building (it's in the Prudential building) so here is my honest review: Food: the food was great. Cooked well good meal. They had fancy offerings presented in a very upscale fashion . We ordered sides in family style and shared and still had some to take home. Drinks: so cute & tasty. Dessert: so good omg we were licking our fingers! Service: here is where things weren't the best. We had a party of 9 and unfortunately the service was a bit slow and disjointed. It wasn't a busy night, and we seemed to have quite a few staff at our hands, but that night I guess I expected with such a big ticket group they would have been a little tighter on services considering the amount we were about to drop. But all in all I give it a great review. We had a nice evening!

Yelp
I don't wanna give them a bad star rating because I literally come here all the time and enjoy my meal, but my experience during Dine out Boston was very disappointing!! I'm still trying to figure out why they gave me four pieces of nasty wilted minuscule asparagus? Anytime I get asparagus they are huge and healthy. The haddock was dry, crunchy on the top and lacked flavor. I did however receive the best service ever. Rachelle was everything. She my cousin now. Ambiance was per usual, dim and chill . Get the Bananas foster butter cake. They didn't flambé it this time and I was also disappointed with that, but it's still so good! That was the only thing I enjoyed. Was it worth $230?? No

Yelp
Excellent experience, one of the nicest seafood places we've been to in Boston. The atmosphere was great with a live band and a grand piano. We ordered the crab cakes and the steak tartare for appetizers and they were both solid. We had the caesar salad which was pretty good. I had the scallops and they were excellent, perfectly cooked with a nutty flavored sauce. My wife had the seabass and it was also perfect cooked and flaky. I had their smoked old fashioned which was one of the more original ones I've had. Finally, we had their crab fried rice. It was a little too salty but very umami and flavorful, would definitely get again. We will be coming back for

L Q.

Yelp
Best food and service hands down - scallops and crab fried rice were perfect! Eddie V's never disappoints!

Jodie Y.

Yelp
We had a perfect graduation dinner at Eddie's. The server welcomed us with a personalized graduation letter from Eddie himself. We ordered the shellfish tower, Chilean sea bass, Georges Bank scallops, cold water lobsters, and Jumbo Gulf shrimp. The dessert, which was on the house, also came up pretty nicely. We paired the meal with some great wine, and my family, my boyfriend, and I had a lovely time.

Priscilla M.

Yelp
Perfect meal. Props to our waiter Isaiah for making our night out special beyond expectations. Every dish was outstanding. The live music in the bar was great.

Demeka F.

Yelp
My first time at Eddie Vs was amazing. I chose this over Ruth's Chris, and I'm glad I made that decision. Rachelle was an amazing server. Her service was great, and even if something went wrong, she made up for it. The drinks were great, I really enjoyed the rum drink and my boyfriend liked the old fashioned. My favorite was the lamb chops and really the crab fried rice, which can be a great appetizer. They also have a gluten free menu. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak and the asparagus was also good. My only wish was a gluten free dessert option like a flourless chocolate cake. I plan to come back again for sure!

Yelp
i was by the bar when I seen a mice running around like he owned the place. the workers tried to scare it but it was oddly not scared of humans for some reason. It was literally just walking around like it owned the place. we called him Eddie V cuz he was walking around like he owned the place haha other then that it's not a bad place

Olaedo E.

Yelp
Wow I'm so disappointed! After raving about this place to my sister, we made reservations for 10pm. Upon arrival, we were told the kitchen was closed. We had drove an hr away to get there and asked why we were able to make a 10pm reservation on Open Table if their kitchen was going to be closed. The pleasant hostess goes to ask the manager Adam for permission to seat and serve us. He rudely comes, without even hearing us out, and immediately tells us no, that we need to leave! He was so nasty, rude and displayed abusive behavior. I've never felt more disrespected and embarrassed at an establishment in my life! Adam needs to be fired if he hasn't been already! He has 0 customer service skills and not enough emotional/social capacity or intelligence to be a manager at such an upscale restaurant.

Yelp
Had dinner here for our wedding anniversary. Everything was fantastic, and our server was on top of his game the entire night. 1. The cocktails are superb. First was "The Hope Diamond" which featured Grey Goose Vodka, Grapefruit Liqueur, Butterfly Pea Flower Tea, and this interesting dark "Diamond Ice Cube" in the middle, with incredibly subtle flavors. The "Smoked Old Fashioned" was similarly charming, with delightful scent as well as flavor. 2. The Ahi Tuna Tartare stands out here...we've had variations of this dish at a number of upscale seafood restaurants, but this one is by far the best. The citrus with light curry adds a perfect touch of spiciness. 3. The fusion-inspired Chilean Sea Bass is flaky and tasty, perfect if you don't want something too heavy. The scallops are seared perfectly and numerous in number, and at the quality standard I expect from fine seafood restaurants. The fruits are a nice touch! The standout was the Parmesan Sole, with nicely contrasting little tomatoes in the lemon-garlic butter sauce. This is what I'm expecting at a nice restaurant like this--and Eddie V's hit it out of the park with the quality of these entrees. 4. The dish that blew our minds though, was an accompaniment. Believe it or not, the ASPARAGUS here is something else. Grilled with sea salt and a bit of lemon, with a bit of char from the grill, this is the most exceptional vegetable dish of this kind I've ever had in a restaurant (and I eat out a lot). It speaks a lot to the quality when they don't skimp on the sides. 5. The kids menu is not an afterthought here. A four course meal for $16?? A huge fruit salad that would be $10+ at most other restaurants to start, well-prepared entries that aren't just microwaved chicken nuggets (mine had the mac and cheese--lovely choice of corkscrew pasta and the 4 oz. filet mignon). The only thing that wasn't a standout was the french fries. If they had dusted this with a bit of parmesan truffle sprinkle or just some finely chopped parley, that would have complemented it perfectly. But I'm not getting worked up over some fries on the kids menu, haha! The ice cream for dessert includes a luscious chocolate cookie. 6. The bananas foster butter cake is served flaming, table side. It was a wonderful end to the evening, and did not disappoint. Thank you, Eddie V's, for making our anniversary dinner incredibly memorable for us as well as our kids!!

Yelp
The food is always good .... My first time trying these 3, i recommend. I never sat on the bar side at the high stools but it was nice and the live music added a nice touch.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Eddie V's is the whole complete package! They have amazing steak and seafood, the sides are a must have, and the drinks are to die for. To top it off live music starts after 7:00, and that just makes it easier to settle down and savor the whole ambiance. The service is impeccable every time. I have never received rudeness from any staff member and I've been to Eddie V's in Los Angeles, Boston, Denver, and Tampa. I get the filet mignon, macoroni and cheese(which makes your eyes roll back into your head), (get without bread crumbs and add more cheese and cream, you'll thank me later), and Korean barbecue Brussel sprouts. Try the The Fosters banana cake. I don't like bananas, in fact I'm allergic to them, but when I tell you it's worth eating and suffering later from allergy side affects trust me. I'm not steering you wrong. My favorite drink there is the margarita. I know that is simple enough but hopefully it will add pleasure to your meal!!

Riley L.

Yelp
The food was amazing. My server Justin was top tier and the ambiance was relaxing. A live band, great food and great service, what more could you ask for!!!

Mike F.

Yelp
Food always on point. Drinks is A1. Service is great. Cool looking spot. The music is aight ... sometimes

Julie G.

Yelp
Decadent dinner. Had the prime rib, asparagus, truffle mac n cheese, crab fried rice, lobster bisque, seafood tower, bananas foster, and godiva chocolate cake. A very gracious host, good company, memorable meal. Service was excellent.

John W.

Yelp
Great experience at Eddie V's Boston from beginning to end. Love the atmosphere, dim lighting, classy, chill, and low key kind of vibe. Live music playing in the background. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious, the cocktails innovative, and desserts amazing and comforting. Highlights: The Hope diamond - Grey Goose, grapefruit liqueur, butterfly pea flower tea, and diamond ice cube. Visually attractive with a beautiful aroma, and elegantly delicious. Jumbo lump crab cake - Sautéed crispy exterior with generous portion bits of tender sweet crab. Oysters - Fresh, hand selected delicious variety of East Coast oysters (Rustico, Savage Habour, Bouctouche Bay, Narragansett, Norwalk). 8oz center cut filet - My favorite cut (we all got the same) seared and seasoned to perfection with a light crispy exterior, and perfectly prepared to order (med rare) juicy tender center. Bananas foster butter cake - Flambéed table side. I'm not usually a dessert feen, but this was delicious! Warm, toasty, with a light spongy texture, and delicately sweetened. Hot chocolate Godiva cake - Oh my... warmed Godiva chocolate in a cake?! Whaaaat?! We had to have it! Did I just say I'm not a feen. FYI, takes 15 minutes to prepare. Well worth the wait. A very special thanks to our server, and service staff. It goes without saying, thank you Chefs and kitchen staff for a wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
After leaving Louboutin empty handed and getting nearly asked to leave Balenciaga, I was ready for a cocktail, or two ... The only place I go when at Copley is Eddie V's. It was a short walk plus I was breaking in a new pair of Loake Belgium's, velvety with my Ling family crest embroidered like pure class, so it was all good, as they say! "Foo! Great to see you, we didn't know you were coming in tonight but we have your favorite high top reserved just in case!" "Splendid," I said as I took off my Burberry and put my trusted Swaine umbrella in the stand. "Gorgeous, is that a new Fox umbrella?" "No, my helpful and trusted hostess, it's a Swaine, just got it back from London on a repair." "Well Foo, you're always so dapper, let's get you seated." My table was in a perfect spot where I could see the piano, TV, front door and bar without any obstruction. It was the perfect spot for flagging down my waitress, people watching and drink grabbing! "Hey Foo! Usual? 24 Kt. with a filet and lobster mashed potatoes?" "That my dear is my play! With business out of the way I leaned back to survey the scene. My drink was a masterpiece, the folks who make Eddie V's run like a Swiss watch were all in their ballet of service but my eyes were on the Louis XIII. Then my gal pal Conchita came into the bar. "Where have you been?" I asked. "I went to Ferragamo, then to Golden Goose, then to Jimmy Choo, then to Versace and all with no luck!" "What were you looking for?" "Some really fast sneakers!" "Why?" "Because I want to dash outa here with that bottle of Louis XIII and just run down Huntington with it!" "No need to do that Peach Fuzz, I've got us covered, my name is on that bottle!" "You're name is Louis?" "No, it's Foo!" Just then the bartender looked at me and said, "Hey Foo, another 24 Kt.?" I replied, "That would be devine old man, and get ready to go to the vault, Louis XIII for me, the night is young! Hail to Eddie V's!"

Isabella H.

Yelp
The food was perfect!! the steak was cooked just as asked medium well. The scallops were tender as expected and not overwhelming in flavor so the scallops natural taste really came through with the brown butter. The chocolate cake was basically a double molten lava cake. The berries and cream was delicious too because it wasn't as heavy as the chocolate cake and was even refreshing. My boyfriend also claimed the expresso martinis are one of the best ones he's had so far and we've been to a lot of bars! One thing I wasn't a huge fan off was the crab fried rice, the rice was too soft and it tasted more like butter rice. Also parking was super convenient and the food came out quick too.

Lan D.

Yelp
Sunday evening, no reservation rainy all day. Took a seat at the bar as I was solo and I prefer this seating arrangement. Greeted by the friendly bar tender and ordered a fine wine. Next came the steak tartar, I was asked if I wanted it cooked?!! What? It was fabulously delicious. Lobster bisque showed up next. Wonderful with bread and butter. Then the double Lobster tails broiled and next to them was a tub of melted butter. A great meal... except one thing, the staff seemed to be in the middle of some sort of conflict with one another. It distracted from the joy of the food as service was SLOW.

Mackin' Dan C.

Yelp
A friend of mine worked here who wasn't a very good friend, which doesn't mean this isn't a very good restaurant. I can hardly remember how the food tasted, since, at the time, I was having such a wonderful group dinner! Good service, beautiful place. Not many alternative options beyond seafood & steak, but the menu and the name probably could've told you all that. If your vegan Tinder date is willing to break her no-kiss-on-the-first-date she might enjoy a nice dinner, that spineless hag!

Dennis K.

Yelp
Had another awesome meal with the family in the bar area for my b-day last week. The service was great and the food overall was awesome. Lobster Tail and Steak fantastic as was the crab rice and apps. My only concern is that there two different tables with what it looked like boys in college with their parents. Both of them were in gym shorts with a t-shirts which was very classless. Shame on their parents and Eddy V's letting them in. Suggestion - try the happy hour menu. It is good stuff..........

Youn-mi K.

Yelp
Very professional and super kind servers!! Their lobsters were perhaps the largest I have eaten. Really worth the price. The steak was pretty good, too.

Katlyn D.

Yelp
Hands down one of my favorite meet up spots. Great vibe especially in the bar. They have live music at certain times. Their smoked old fashion is wonderful (and I am usually not a whiskey person). The banana foster is amazing. Their filet is better than their capital grille counterpart. The sea bass has a ton of flavor. Their beet and burrata (seasonal) salad is one of my favorites. Their petite filet sliders are a perfect app (and 1/2 price during happy hour) as well as their lollipop lamb. The service is usually great, I have had a poor experience with only one waitress and they were new.

Meri G.

Yelp
Great ambiance and service, fantastic seafood. Highly recommended this place! Live music was a surprise as well.

Minas J.

Yelp
Food was good. Crab fried rice side is always a hit. Service was awful. Waiter confused and got lost repeatedly. Bartender must have been new or having a bad day. Drinks were not made correctly. We had to send a search party for the check. No manager around. This used to be well managed. ???

Sharon L.

Yelp
Tried Eddie V's for Dine Out Boston and absolutely loved it. I got the lobster bisque + filet mignon + banana foster and my partner got the lobster bisque + Norwegian salmon + vanilla ice cream. We also ordered a drink and a variety of oysters. The lobster bisque was definitely our favorite, super creamy, rich and had a decent amount of lobster meat in it. The oysters, our waitress helped us select a few and we absolutely loved those suggestions!! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly to what I wanted (medium rare) and super juicy. The mashed potatoes it was served with complimented it well and was seasoned nicely. The Norwegian salmon was juicy and cooked very nicely and tasted delicious with the veggies it was served with The banana foster dessert was delicious and very fun with the flame it was presented with and the vanilla ice cream was very tasty. Overall it was a great experience and the waitress was very nice!! It was definitely worth it's price and I would come back to try their regular menu.

J W.

Yelp
Great place to eat, way back in the cut tho in prudential so you gotta look for it, once you find it you will be happy. The lobster tacos are possibly the best tacos I've EVER eaten in my life, the way the taste comes together in your mouth is just simply amazing, i can't explain it because you wouldn't get it unless you taste them, the Parmesan sole is crispy flavorful and extremely tasty. The crab fried rice has so much crab in it is a meal by itself, first time here and definitely not the last, BEST PLACE TO EAT IN THE PRU, a must go to if your eating out, the complete package in my opinion

Joan T.

Yelp
Worth the splurge. Delicious seafood (oysters, crab leg and salmon). Even my side dishes were excellent: the mark of a good restaurant. Cozy booth seating. Nice atmosphere. In addition to the dessert we ordered, our waiter flambéed Bananas Foster - a real treat.

K S.

Yelp
WOW, what a fantastic dining experience tonight! We sat at a high top table in the lounge and Ashley was our server. She was great, friendly and efficient! Both of our meals were delicious and so were the two sides that we got! Both steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted incredible! The lobster tail was delish also, and so was the wedge salad that we had in the beginning! They also had a live band playing, they sounded excellent! Can't wait to go back!!!

Sara Jieyi T.

Yelp
The food is fantastic here. I got the lobster bisque and chilean seabass which was steamed hong kong style with light soy broth. The hot chocolate godiva cake paired with vanilla bean ice cream at the end was amazing. Atmosphere was modern and nice. Server was attentive and took care of us. Food: 8/10 Service: 9/10 Experience: 8/10 Value: 8/10

Davetta K.

Yelp
LOBSTER MAC N CHEESE ME PLEASEEEEEE! It's better than Fat Cats and if you know you know. They actually have a lot of decent options. I for sure choose this over Ruth Chris ‍

Benjamin K.

Yelp
A high quality seafood restaurant with great atmosphere and service. Not much else to say except that the food is dependably excellent.

Jennifer I.

Yelp
I went here for the first time with my mom last week (late in the review my bad). Let me start by saying I really like the inside! Beautiful decor and ambiance. I don't remember our servers name but she was pleasant. We started off with the sashimi (excellent) and the lobster tacos, also excellent. For entrees I got the scallops and my mom got the jumbo gulf shrimp. Her dish was FABULOUS, the sauce perfectly complimented the shrimp. My dish left much to be desired. My scallops were cooked well, but the flavor of the sauce was seriously lacking, and the dish as a whole had almost no seasoning. Wasn't remotely worth the 40 price tag. For our sides we got the truffled Mac which was rich and earthy, loved it. We also shared the sautéed spinach which was ok, slightly over seasoned. Overall I would return but get a different main.

Joe M.

Yelp
Loved my Filet. Cooked perfect. Ate at the bar and had awesome service good old fashions. Good wine Great place to meet up with co workers

Debi R.

Yelp
This was our first time at this location and to our surprise it was just as good as the one back home! Hubby got his usual 16oz New York Strip $52 and I got my seafood fix. Service was impeccable as usual and our meals were delicious. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the dessert, but there's always next time!

Nick N.

Yelp
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with a genuine smile from the hostess and manager. Their passion for their restaurant came through on the quick conversation I had at the front desk. The space is gorgeous! Soft lights, tablecloth, fine china and staff that cares! All is great so far and I wanted this experience to be a positive one as we had never been here before and picked it randomly instead of another well known steakhouse. Boy was I glad we did. The waiter (I believe his name is Justin) brought such a positive energy to our table. Whether he wanted to be there or not, we felt as we were the most important people to him that evening. Very well trained in fine dining and it showed from the way he presented the cocktails/wine to how he very elegantly brought the check over to me. His presence was never overbearing and he was respectful of any conversation we were having. The food arrived and the runners were all professional and thorough. The steaks were on par with any great steakhouse. Bone in Ribeye and a NY Strip.... Both cooked perfectly. As a family with allergies, I particularly appreciated their understanding of how to deal with this. My son ordered the sea bass in a broth which he enjoyed. By the way, the steak tataki app was uniquely different and excellent. Since we live in NJ, we will visit the one in Paramus soon and will be back to the Boston one when we visit our son in college again. Well done team!! Glad to see service without attitude and excuses still exists in hospitality!

John E.

Yelp
Perfect Meal. Food, Ambiance. Bring my daughter to this wonderful restaurant to celebrate her academic accomplishments and the staff Celebrates Every Time. The beef and seafood are top notch along with the service. I particularly like the ribeye which is perfectly marbled. The sides are also done with a touch of class. The ambiance is nicely done with live music at the bar and low level lighting in the dining area. The bar is fully stocked and the wine selection can't be touched. The cost is on par with the service and restaurant intangibles. 22 Oz Usda Prime Bone-in RibeyeCrab Fried RiceFilet Oscar Style With South African Lobster TailsTruffle MacTruffles MashJumbo Gulf Shrimp

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with excellent service, food, and cocktails. Mac was our server and was exceptional - will definitely be back!

rating: 4.5/5 we came for a nice dinner at eddie v's earlier this month and it was one of the best meals that i've had this summer. although the prices here are definitely on the higher end, it was a memorable dinner and we had a great time here! - atmosphere - the restaurant is actually located inside the prudential center, but you can also get inside through the outside valet parking entrance. the inside of eddie v's is dimly lit and provides for an intimate setting. everything from the comfortable seating at our booth to the eating setup made for a pleasant experience. whether you're coming for a nice birthday dinner or even a date, i think the ambiance could fit for either occasion. - overall experience - we had a reservation for 2 on a thursday evening and were able to be seated right away once we arrived. the service here is great and everyone there was really friendly! even though it took us some time to decide what to order, the servers were really patient and happy to re-read the specials to us whenever we asked. after ordering, our food probably took less than 20 minutes to get to our table. we had an amazing dining experience and enjoyed our evening here. - recommendations - highly recommend that you must try their truffled macaroni and cheese, butter poached lobster and aged white cheddar mashed potatoes, and bananas fosters butter cake! 8/3/23 -lobster surf and turf: this was one of their menu specials of the day; it came with 2 4-oz filet steaks with sweet chili sauce and two small lobster tails on top. the sweet chili flavor of the steak definitely gave this dish and asian-style twist, and i really enjoyed it! the steak was so tender and perfectly cooked medium rare. i also really enjoyed the lobster on top; they were fried just the right amount and had a really good crispiness to them. it was a really satisfying entree and i wasn't able to finish it myself. (4/5) -butter poached lobster and aged white cheddar mashed potatoes: if you're a fan of lobster and mashed potatoes, i'm sure you'd enjoy this appetizer. they offer this in a half or full size, but we decided to get the full size. the mashed potatoes were so creamy and the melted cheddar throughout made it super-indulgent of a dish. the occasional pieces of poached lobster added an extra flavor profile to each bite, which i personally really enjoyed. the portion was probably enough to share among 3-4 people, so we had plenty of leftovers. (4.5/5) -truffled macaroni and cheese: this appetizer was hands down my favorite dish of the entire meal! this is also offered in a full or half size; i was really glad that we decided to get the full size because it was just so delicious! they used white cheddar in the mac and cheese, and it was topped with breadcrumbs and pieces of truffle. the macaroni was cooked perfectly and the bread crumbs added texture in every bite. the truffle flavor was not lacking whatsoever, which made every bite so enjoyable! if you're a fan of truffle flavors, i'd definitely suggest ordering this. (5/5) -bananas fosters butter cake: this is one of their most popular desserts, and it even gets flamed tableside right in front of you! it also comes with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a scoop of butter pecan ice cream. the cake was buttery, rich, cinnamon-y, and sweet. the texture was a bit sticky from the caramel and slightly crispy on the edges. the cake paired with the sliced bananas and a bit of ice cream really made for a satisfying bite. it definitely gets a bit too sweet after some time though, which is why it's a good dessert to be shared. (5/5)

Yelp
Excellent food and superb service on a weekend in February 2021. Our server, Franklin, was exceptional and provided all the great recommendations. See pictures -- basically everything he recommended . Highly recommend the South African Lobster Tail, this is what the place is know for, and Franklin (our server) was kind to share us this information. The 22 Oz Usda Prime Bone-in Ribeye was also good. Highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The food is too delicious! I even missed taking all the pictures for the food! Reservation recommended and note that It requires all people present to be seated. 5/5 oysters 5/5 lobster bisque - we ordered the cup but they gave the bowl due to mistake, but they only charged us with cup price. Nice service! 5/5 crab cake. I even finished the sauce! Haha 4/5 half and half steak and lobster. Definitely nothing went wrong, but maybe I am picky.. 3/5 Kung Lao calamari - not my favorite Definitely will consider going back!

Yelp
Eddie V's is located in the Prudential with an entrance that also leads outside. Street parking is always tricky in the area, and you can opt for the garage but it's pricey. This is a very spacious, dimly lit restaurant. My waitress was amazing, and the food was also amazing! The food took a little long to come out, but I came on a busy Saturday night so it was expected. What is not shown in the pictures is the Mac & Cheese, Arugula Salad, and the Calamari. Everything was so good I can't wait to be back!

Yelp
The food here was fantastic. The service was excellent. The filet mignon was hands down the best I have ever had. Better than all the other great steak houses. The crab fried rice side was delicious. The calamari app was perfectly done. Not greasy, just the right amount of sauce. The restaurant was beautiful. I highly recommend going to Eddie V's.

Yelp
There are not enough stars for this restaurant. The food, the service, the energy, the management, the attention to detail. I have never ever experienced anything close to a WOW and this was an absolute WOW. Daniel was our server and we know he was new but he might have been one of my favorite servers in a restaurant ever! What an incredible energy. We literally said WOW - over and over! Speechless. The best lobster - which was a South African lobster.. that I have ever ever had. We had the shrimp cocktail Lobster bisque 22oz Bone in Rib Eye South African Lobster Tail 8oz Filet Mignon with Parmesan & Horseradish Crust Chocolate Godiva Cake. There could not possibly be an improvements. My soda never even got watered down! I'm so so impressed!

Yelp
I've been to Eddie V's in La Jolla before but this was my first time at the Boston location. They are both great restaurants with attentive staff, well cooked seafood and steaks. What has really prompted this review is how good the calamari is here. Calamari tends to be my go to appetizer and this was the first time I've had it seasoned with what tasted like a sweet glaze of honey. There were shredded carrots on top as well and some cashews. Definitely recommend the calamari if you are not allergic to nuts!

Yelp
I've been in Boston for a week as my mother has been being treated for a medical emergency. After long days as the ICU and oncology departments, my wife came to help out and we tried to go to one nice dinner on the Fourth of July to break up the monotony of sustaining myself with fast food and protein shakes. We made a reservation for 8 PM on OpenTable, but we were starving so we left the hospital early and moved the reservation to 7:30. We arrived on time and were seated at a central table, and told that our waiter would be "Nick". Very quickly, another employee came to give us menus, bread, and water. The restaurant was rather empty, with people seated at less than a quarter of the tables. We decided on our order and closed our menus. We noticed that a waiter with name tag "Nick" was working both the surrounding tables, spending a lot of time chatting up each. Someone who looked like the manager was doing the same, but neither stopped by our table or even acknowledged our existence. By 8, we had finished the bread and no one had come to take our order, but every other table had food. We flagged another employee and explained that no one had even introduced themselves to us as our waiter, but that we had been told our waiter would be "Nick". He said he had noticed no one had come to the table, "Nick" was usually a great waiter, and said he would take our drink order and make sure a waiter came to help us right away. We gave him our drink order. Roughly 20 minutes later, no drinks had arrived and no waiter had come to our table, 50 minutes after we were initially seated. My wife and I decided that we would have to find food elsewhere and separately want to find someone to explain what was going on - me to the front desk, and my wife to the person who looked like the manager. My wife reached the manager first and all he said was some form of "sorry, it's my fault" repeatedly without offering explanation or even calling over the person who was supposed to be our waiter to have them explain. We left the restaurant. It's hard to express the disappointment I felt, having the one night I was taking as a break from all the stress and anxiety of a parent suffering from cancer and surgical complications be ruined for what appears to be no good reason. We honestly can't think of a reason for why we were so brazenly ignored by the waiter AND the manager for nearly an hour, and we feel like the only possible explanation is some form of racism or antisemitism. My wife is Korean and I am a Jew who is often mistaken for being Middle Eastern. While we've experience discriminated at restaurants before while traveling, and I experienced plenty of antisemitism growing up in the rural part of southeast MA, we never expected discrimination in Boston. We live in NYC and frequent a number of Michelin starred restaurants among other restaurants with their own fair share of awards, and the experience has never been so blatantly disrespectful. To put the cherry on top, the restaurant even immediately canceled our OpenTable reservation so we could not leave a review, when in reality we were seated for the reservation and they functionally refused service.

Yelp
I have been going to Eddie Vs since it open we have been coming for Birthdays ,Dinners and with coworkers we work at Saks 5th Ave I'm always recommending Eddie Vs to all the tourists that come in to the store. We were just there and I am very Disappointed we requested tables at the Bar some of us got there a few minutes early and they wouldn't seat us because tables weren't ready the tables had been ready not good than the manager was not being nice and his people skills are awful we are good clients and you should treat your customers as if they matter, I will never recommend Eddie Vs again . Very Disappointed Maria
