I'm very surprised there's only 381 reviews here. Here's why.
Ever been to New York City? The city of lights. It should be called the city where you can't get a restaurant reservation unless you sit outside next to the traffic.
But if you should be so lucky, you will be transformed back into the 50s through 70s with an update to the 2020s. That's how unique Eddie V is.
You're talking waitstaff in white tuxes with bows and matching outfits. Dress to the nines, including hair and everything else. And they handle themselves with great pride.
It's obvious their architects and interiors designers have tremendous pull from both New York and Las vegas. No Gucci and no Kichey. Just really good soft lighting. Gracious table placement and all around good vibes or as architects say, feng shui.
When you walk in, think of the flow. Placement of the tables, how everyone walks around. How everyone can see around. How everyone can feel a sense of plating and service from the moment you walk in. Never got to the bar that looks outstanding.
When you go to New York, you will find the regulars, always sitting at the same tables, always having their valet cars, minimum $250,000 each, parked right outside for your enjoyment, as well as their psychological pleasure. But hey, you don't have to go to a new car lot that they won't even get you in the door for. Ha ha. There were two Lamborghinis parked there when I was there as well as some other tasty samplings.
Let's get onto this fine dining, which is really celebratory dining. Receptions, graduations, birthday parties, finally selling your business and retiring parties, returning home to warm family parties, preteen children's parties, and for sure, sweet 16 and debutante parties. I'm certain the Phillies, Eagles, Soul, and Sixers eat here all the time. And if they don't, they're missing out.
We had complementary fried oysters which were absolutely outstanding. Then I had another plate of them. You'll see them in the picture.
My brother got the blue cheese wedge, which was probably one of the best I've ever had. Also, the creamiest I've ever had. It was delicious.
My brother got the swordfish special, which was unusually prepared, and he ate every morsel of the avocado on top. I never saw him eat so much so happy .
He also got a plate of asparagus, which were delicious.
I ordered the fillet medallions with crab meat, but asked for the sauce on the side. So they said hey, let's make it a full fillet with crab meat ,,,,,,,,,,,,,bam ! That was good. The aged steaks are fantastic here.
Many of you know, aged beef. This steak is some of the best flavored steak I've ever had. And they don't charbroil it at 1600° like somebody you know. But it comes out absolutely superb. So superb that my leftovers tasted absolutely just as good and pink inside.
Now the crab meat. Oh my goodness was that good. I'm not sure what they do, but there's some kind of whipped Deliciousness added to them. That's so so good.
I also got a side of the crab fried rice just to see if it was any different or unexpected. Man was it good. The crab on top was fantastic. And the rice was delicious.
Really a job well done by all the staff.
Kudos to Alli a mother, a great Staff talent and shipmate, kind and considerate.
Great training guys - good culture.
We left very happy and will definitely return for a celebratory dinner or lunch.
PS, if this was in New York City, it would have about 1150 reviews. Keep that in mind.
