"Eddie V’s in Troy, a relative newcomer to metro Detroit, is part of a chain known for its seafood and hearty steaks. Its happy hour is substantial and impressive, with east coast oysters for $2 each and two Rockefeller oysters for $8 (broiled with spinach, artichoke, fondue cheese, and bread crumbs). Guests can also sample two Asian fusion oysters for $7 or two oysters with wild Alaskan salmon roe and lemon for $8. And that’s just the oyster happy hour specials; the rest of the menu is equally extensive. When to Order: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday" - Mickey Lyons

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for years and finally got the chance to for my friend’s birthday. I got a lobster tail, and lobster fried rice. This place is high end, so please come with a full wallet. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they even pack your leftovers for you. I went on a Wednesday evening and I was shocked to find not a single parking spot was available, but they did have valet which was complimentary, but I did still tip. Everyone I was with enjoyed their food. Very nice ambiance, great for a date night or drinks. They also had live music. Conveniently located near Somerset mall. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
Excellent restaurant and superb service. Our server Mathew was very friendly and nice. They started with some freshly baked bread and salted butter that was fantastic! We ordered some sashimi and fried calamari/ octopus for an appetizer. Both were great. Then I got lobster bisque soup which was very good. They ask if you need fresh pepper, and I told them yes, but then I realized I didn’t really need that. They had a special halibut that wasn’t on the menu, which I ordered, and I’m glad I did. Fantastic. It is seared halibut on a bed of roasted veggies. The halibut just tastes phenomenal. We also got shared sides of truffle mac and cheese and butter poached lobster aged cheddar mashed potatoes. Both were great. But let me tell you, this is the best mac and cheese you will ever have in your whole life, guaranteed!! Just excellent. Got Manhattan for drinks which was okay. Also got the lemon tart to go as a dessert which was good. Very nice atmosphere. Very happy with my experience

Where do I start??? The whole experience was so amazing! We had a drink at the bar to start and were greeted immediately. Very good service. We then went to our table where we see they put rose pedals to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary. Amanda was our server and she set the standard!! She was amazing! Pretty smile and very attentive to our every need. She even bought our dessert. She's amazing. Ask for Amanda when visiting. She'll take great care of you!! Our whole experience is one we'll never forget. Keep up the good work Joe.

Excellent service , and yummy food. Can’t go wrong here ! Our waiter John was very friendly and informative. He’s got a good sense of humour as well. They took an extra step for anniversary dinner . Quite memorable! I added pics of the finished ✅ plates because they were so unbelievably amazing .

Went to this Eddie V’s last night and I can safely say this is my new favorite steak house/seafood restaurant chain. The service was top notch, ambience was great, and the food was out of this world. Everything tasted amazing! They also had a fun cocktail menu. In my opinion though, for the price, I would have preferred the drinks to have been a bit stronger. Definitely recommend this place for a date night or special occasion.

Google
Celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary yesterday at Eddie V's in Troy and had a wonderful time and dinner. The staff was excellent and the manager gave us a glass of champagne and a small oyster appetizer. The food was scrumptious and the room gave off a welcoming atmosphere. Been here before but last night was extra special.

Google
Best experience I’ve ever had! My husband and I went to celebrate our 3rd year wedding anniversary. We were treated above and beyond by Jessie, who I cannot even express in words how incredible she was to us. We are also expecting our first baby and the whole restaurant showed us so much love from the second they found it. Thank you everyone once again!! I cannot wait to celebrate more milestones with you guys!

Google
Food was great! Service was even better. We had a large group of- our waitress Lisa was incredible. She fit right in and we always had exactly what we needed. All of the recommendation’s were exactly what we were looking for. Great tequila list - even better wine list.

Yelp
Stopped by this restaurant on a business trip after visiting UWM's corporates office and I enjoyed my meal. Nice vibes with the dim lighting. -Agent Ochoa

Yelp
We had another wonderful happy hour here. We had the calamari, oysters, Caesar salad, filet sliders, bananas foster cake, crème brulé, lamb chops, and burrata salad. Everything was wonderful. The service was fabulous. Love this place so much. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
So disappointed. We went there on my birthday, and it was the most disappointing experience ever. I've been there a few times, only sat in the bar area, had cocktails and appetizers. All great! I was so excited to officially dine inside the restaurant. Starting with our waiter, he seemed like he should've been working at McDonald's. He knew nothing about everything! He did not have the common sense or brains to find out and get back with us. When asked about wine/food preparations or specials, he would leave saying he would find out, only to come back with nothing. Only cool thing is they do table-side Steak Tarte. Too bad they did a terrible job mixing together to get the right proportions. I may be going over to the top on this, however, I would expect a place like this to offer it with a quail egg on top. The lobster bisque soup (sigh), another sad disappointment. I am now desperately in need to go to the CapitalGrille - they know how to do it right. If I want a side of Sherry to drizzle on top then bring me a damn side of Sherry, with no questions, comments or debate!!! Next, sadly, it was recommended to have the Chilean Seabass, was overcooked and overpowered by too much soy sauce. Horrible, horrible entrée, I do not recommend it. Gets worse, dessert, a disaster... I don't want to relive it. However, the waiter could have offered a cup of coffee or cappuccino or something, it would have gone very well with any dessert, at least helped ours. What a sad state of affairs, sooo bad, sooo disappointment, . Lil tip, to the restaurant, if your customer is wearing black, offer a black napkin. It's just class maybe you should go eat at Capital Grille and see what it's all about...

Yelp
Ryan was our server and we were very pleased with his service, conversation as well as his suggestions. We started off with cocktails (I had the Private Pilot which was delicious) and Steak Tartare prepared tableside. The only thing I didn't care for with that was the mustard on the plate as a garnish (that is just personal preference, not a mustard fan). Next up we shared a Wedge Salad and a great bottle of Austin wine. Our entree was the 22 ounce Ribeye and two Jumbo Crab Stuffed Shrimp. Ryan brought out his personal box of steak knives to chose from. Each having their own story which he was eager to share. That in and of itself was so cool. The steak was so tender and flavorful. Just delicious! The food was great, Ryan was awesome and we will be back!!

Yelp
All I can say is spot on!!! The service was impeccable, sophisticate and outstanding. My server Anthony was so friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and came with a smile. He treated me and my daughter like queens. And of course it was Mother's Day. Definitely will be back. Definitely ask for Anthony!!!!!

Betsy K.

Yelp
Seriously people!!! 24 karat cocktail, crabcakes and crab fried rice!!!!!! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu, but these are my three favorite things and all three are my repeat items. Fabulous, perfect service- beautiful environment. Why would I go anywhere else? Celebrated my daughter-in-law's birthday there last night, but birthday- casual- last-minute dinner, it doesn't matter- it's the best !!!

Yelp
7/1/23 Zach and I came here with his parents for a 7PM dinner reservation. There is a parking lot outside the restaurant. We got there around 6:30PM and the staff was able to accommodate us. Our waiter that evening was Andrew, who was very pleasant and friendly. Here's what we got: - Georges bank scallops (mine) - Calamari (for the table) - Grilled asparagus (for the table) - A side of mac and cheese (for the table) - Lamb Chops (Zach's) - Red dragon (drink for me) - Lobster bisque (his) I can't remember what his parents got for entrees and apps, but they said it was all good and they have come to Eddie V's many times before. The Red Dragon drink was refreshing and tart. The calamari dish was surprisingly a lot (to share for 4 people) and tasted great. The scallops tasted good, but I wish it had more to go with it. Ordering the asparagus and the mac and cheese for the table helped, but since I was sharing with 3 other people, I was still hungry when we left (even after dessert XD). Those side dishes were pretty standard. Zach said his lobster bisque was good and the lamb chops were cooked perfectly. At the end of the dinner, they gave us a dessert trio plate since Zach's parents mentioned we were celebrating an early birthday dinner for Zach. The mini banana foster was deliciously sweet and warm, and the vanilla ice cream was a nice cold complement to it. Overall, the dinner was nice and the staff was pleasant. I'd probably only go back if Zach's family wanted to go again.

Yelp
The food is to die for, as they say. The lobster bisque is a standout with a lobster claw on top. The bread is exceptional but don't fill up! The beef will be cooked exactly as ordered. The desserts are wonderful too. The service is excellent. The ambiance is upscale, but most diners don't dress up. I recommend reservations.

Yelp
I came here for dinner, and it was fairly crowded. The parking lot was full of cars-some very fancy. Since it was my first time here, I had pretty high expectations from what I had heard about the restaurant Burrata and Heirloom Salad- The Italian burrata didn't taste particularly fresh. I've had fresh mozzarella and burrata where the fresh cream flavor comes through and coats your tongue, but this tasted nothing special. The heirloom tomatoes were similary underwhelming. The extra virgin olive oil was bland with none of the grassy and peppery notes that you get with a good oil. Since this is a dish with straghtforward ingredients, they have to be of the highest quality and unfortunately this wasn't met. Prime Bone-in New York Strip- I didn't expect this steak to be so plainly presented. Usually there's some type of garnish or something for this price point, but it was literally a hunk of meat on an otherwise empty plate. I guess they wanted room for the sides. I had the crab fried rice, which blew me away. There were generous pieces of crab and the rice was cooked perfectly. The truffled macaroni and cheese was so-so, the pasta was on the softer side but I felt that they used too much of the "truffle oil" (AKA artificial flavoring that you get in a bottle) since it was very heavy. The grilled asparagus was as expected. I wish I had ordered the Chilean Sea Bass-it was steamed and came in a bamboo steamer basket so points for presentation. I heard it was delicious. Banana Foster's Butter Cake- This was the star of the show, literally a show. It was flambeed at the table and certainly impressive. It was warm and contrasted nicely with the butter pecan ice cream. It was rich and moist. What a perfect way to end the meal.

Yelp
Best steak and happy hour around. The atmosphere is wonderful and classy. The service was prompt. The food is delicious and I had to order sliders and the steak bites. Will be back down the road. Please play the piano or have some music on for happy hour. :)

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and light jazz that is associated with every single Eddie V's I have ever visited. Our waiter Moufak was simply amazing! He was on point, precise, professional and made our night. We were celebrating three birthdays and he comped us a bottle of champagne for a toast and made sure to accommodate the non alcoholic drinkers with shirley temples in a champagne flute so they did not feel left out. He also comped us dessert! There were several people in our group that had never been to an Eddie V's and he definitely left an impression on them! Moufak's willingness to go above and beyond and the consistency of Eddie V's is one of the many reasons I have been a frequent patron over the years all over the country.

Yelp
Solid upscale chain steakhouse. If that's your vibe this is a good spot. I had the 0oz filet as it was what I would expect. The Brussels sprouts were right up my alley and I had a safe Cabernet blend. Overall I'd recommend for a date or a Business meeting.

Yelp
Came here for our anniversary and WOW what an experience! Our server Phil was awesome, food was delish!

Jeremy N.

Yelp
This restaurant is as classy as it comes! Unforgettable experience, amazing food and drinks. Definitely worth the price! We wanted to try this classy restaurant for our anniversary! The menu has a lot of different fancy options. We usually get a mix of seafood and steak. We started with some of their nice warm bread and fancy butter, along with a drink (moscow mule for my wife and a glass of wine for me). Then we got our lobster bisque, that came along with a fun joke of "here you go" when we were presented with a bowl of a small spoonful of cream and a piece of lobster. Of course, he then poured the thick broth in the bowl as well. The soup was filling in itself, then we realized that we had more food coming! Next came out steaks and sides. It's family style a la carte for the sides, so the bowls are plenty to fill you up along with the entree you order. After we finished our dinner, we thought there was no more room in our bellys, however, in our Open Table reservation we mentioned that it was our anniversary, so our server brought out a fun flaming desert drink and some champagne. It was very thoughtful! Ignore the complaints about the price, this is a 5 star restaurant, so of course it costs more. However, it's incredibly worth it and the meal is very filling!

Samir M.

Yelp
This is a steakhouse. Marco was the highlight of the whole place. Food was spectacular. Dessert was amazing. Can't beat a porterhouse steak!!! Crabcake was legit!!! Service was amazing. Place wasn't too loud so we held great conversation. This is must see tv in Detroit!!!

Maria C.

Yelp
The food is delicious! The staff is friendly, kind and attentive. The ambiance is excellent. The only issue I have ever had is on Easter when there was live music and my parents couldn't hear very well so I had to scream in order for them to hear me haha

Irene C.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday early evening at 4. Place was empty, only one table on the patio. They told us since we didn't have reservations, we were to be seated in the patio. We got the oysters to start and they were very fresh. We prefer the brinier ones and the waiter had good suggestions. The medium rare ribeye was very juicy and cooked to perfection. We also got the sea bass which was also very tasty with soy based sauce. The ambiance was a bit upscale but not stuffy. The service was good. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely come back for a special occasion.

Gmailuser G.

Yelp
One of my favorite places. Great food. Love the atmosphere. Great service. Banana foster is a must when coming here.

Natalie T.

Yelp
Loved my experience here. I honestly have no complaints. The food, the service, the ambiance - all outstanding! Our server was so attentive, friendly and informative. She made our whole table feel welcome and gave us some wonderful recommendations. It was my first time visiting so I didn't quite know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up having the kung pao calamari, crab fried rice and parmesan French fries. The others in my party had steak and spinach and enjoyed theirs as well. The bananas foster butter cake is simply divine and decadent. Do yourself a favor. If you've never had it, make it a point to make a reservation and order it as the perfect ending to your dinner. The Hope Diamond is also so pretty and an experience in and of itself. If you're looking for a nice evening out with memorable food and excellent service, this is it!

R W.

Yelp
Came here for a first anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! Our waiter Rory was an absolute delight and anticipated our every need! This was the perfect date night spot and can't wait to come back again for more delicious food!

Bob K.

Yelp
I don't give many 5 star reviews but this place deserves one. Sea bass was out of this world and the old fashioned is made perfectly. Service is exceptional and super accommodating. Tasteful elegant atmosphere too. It's expensive but absolutely worth it.

Nate H.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner at Eddie V's this evening. I don't think we will be back. In comparison to Eddie Merlot , Hyde Park or Prime 29 they need improvement. My 2 stars represent a very friendly waiter and that my steak was Cooked to my order. However ,our entrees took almost an hour to come out. This was after we asked our waiter the status. The fillets were cooked properly but they were a bit cold because they sat plated (that's my guess). The manager did come out to apologize (thank you ). Too much competition out there to drop the ball.

Phyllis B.

Yelp
Just excellent! Our servers, Heather and Nick, were attentive without being intrusive. There was a chip in one of the water glasses but the manager came to our table immediately with apologies and we were fine with that. We were celebrating my birthday and when we arrived, our table had a greeting card as well as rose petals on the table. We were served complimentary glasses of champagne which is always a nice touch. There is live music every night adding to the ambience. We ordered the calamari, halibut and salmon - all were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend the Hope diamond martini and my husband ordered a smoked Manhattan - both of which were very good. At the end of the meal, we were served complimentary dessert. For a special occasion, this is the perfect venue!

Gracie D.

Yelp
Went On Friday night to have dinner and watch the live music. Music and drinks were great. The food and the service or both...meh. Our waiter was dissinterested from the start. Once we ordered our food, the food was brought out by someone who wasn't our waiter. And our waiter did not check in on us, until we are almost done with the meal. That brings me to the food, and why the waiter probably didn't want to check on us. Our cheddar, potatoes, the cheese was congealed on the top. The state did not come out, prepared how we had asked. At the late hour we were having dinner, We were so hungry we just ate the food he realized he wasn't coming back. Hoping things with improved with dessert because we plan to have a full evening of listening to music and enjoying great food. We ordered bananas Foster, which was delicious, the presentation was just a total downer. The staff member who brought it out, just kind of slid it on the table and unceremoniously, let it on fire and walked away. Wasn't expecting a whole show, but it seemed kind of like it was a bother for her to bring it out. Last exchange with the staff was shortly after our dessert arrive or later popped up and just dropped off the bill. Didn't ask if we wanted other drinks or coffee or anything. Been coming to this place since we've lived in the area. All the options around here. Will probably try those first next time instead of paying for a tough level dining experience and getting Applebee Service and cold food.

Ann W.

Yelp
It has been years since my last visit. I had texted a list of choices to a friend - with different locations, price points, and restaurant types represented and she selected Eddie V's - yay! With staff shortages (and possibly COVID restrictions), we had a weird (early) reservation time but ended up with a great table. The restaurant was as elegant as I remembered and the menu was varied enough to feel that there was an abundance of choice. For the starter, guests can consider shellfish options (oysters and shrimp) or crab cakes, lobster tacos, and calamari. I've had the lobster tacos before and they were too good to pass up. We both enjoyed the sweet and firm lobster meat with a creamy avocado wedge and the spicy corn pico de gallo. As we caught up on life during COVID and relaxed in the warmth of friendship, we enjoyed our entrées. My friend had a thick and juicy filet while I enjoyed the seabass, my go-to in seafood restaurants. This one reminded me of my parents' cooking, steamed and served with spinach and a light soy broth. The fish was beyond silky and so well prepared. I was super self-indulgent and also ordered the scallops with brown butter as a side. What also stood out were the sides. My friend ordered an amazing truffled mac and cheese that was perfection on a plate while I selected the au gratin cheddar potatoes. While I was watching my carbs, I could not resist the mac and cheese - and if I lived closer, I would just order this side for dinner. Of course, dinner would not be complete without dessert. My preferred dessert is layered chocolate cake with lots of frosting - think Prime & Proper or Ocean Prime. I wish more places offered layered cake. Pie comes in second. Neither were on the menu so I went with the crème brûlée, served with super dark and rich chocolate cookies (swoon!) - and it was an extra delicious, extra generous portion. My friend had the Godiva cake with ice cream, which she enjoyed. Our server was fantastic. She was personable and anticipated our requests.

Chloe K.

Yelp
I've been to many "fancy" steakhouses and this is definitely up there as one of my favorites. We started with calamari and crab cakes, the calamari were great and huge portion size. The crab cakes were ok, a little fishy but everyone else at my table enjoyed them. Our waitress Heather went over the specials and I decided to get the Oscar, a filet wrapped in bacon and topped with lobster. It also had a cream white sauce but I asked for that on the side. To finish we had bananas foster dessert, a classic at all steakhouses. Would highly recommend this place, dimly lit and great for dinner or a special occasion.

Jenny H.

Yelp
Eddie V's is our favorite restaurant to go celebrate an event - rather it be for our birthday, Valentine's Day, or anniversary. The service here is consistently impeccable. The ambiance is super romantic. We love their rib eye and their cod here. The crab fried rice is definitely the best item on the menu! We also recommend the banana foster for dessert, the presentation for this is also so fun! This restaurant is worth every Penny!

Chandler C.

Yelp
Went to Eddie V's for my 30th with my parents last night and I had the greatest time! Our server Angelina was newer to the restaurant but you could never tell she was new. She was very helpful the entire time and was so kind to us. Love the food. I got the oysters for my app, 8oz filet for my main and the lobster poached mashed potatoes for my side. You will NOT be disappointed with their food or service. Can't wait to come again! Cheers!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
The food was good, but the portions small & it just overall seemed over price for what you got. I have no issues paying a lot for a meal but it has to be memorable. Have enjoyed their happy hour, I'm not sure I would return for dinner, unless I was asked by friends.

Ashley S.

Yelp
If you enjoy spending lots of money on tiny portions, this is the place for you. Everything on the menu is al a carte, so unless you order a lot, you'll be hungry. I ordered the lobster bisque and it literally only had one lump of lobster - extremely overpriced to only have 1 piece of meat! I ordered the crab cakes for my main meal and the portion was sooo small. I was still hungry when I left and extremely disappointed. The service was also poor since I was in my mid 20's and didn't look like I could afford it. We were ignored most of the night. It took us forever to receive our drinks, order food, and get the bill. For a date night, this was a terrible experience and we'll never go back. Save your money and find a better seafood place.

Rosy C.

Yelp
I'm a sea food fanatic and I haven't had my taste buds this happy in a while. The seafood is unmatched in Michigan. We did wait a little longer than I expected to be seated. But once seated, my experience was like something from a fairytale. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable and made great recommendations.  The food was prepared to perfection. The angels sang as I ate the Lobster Mashed Potatoes. The ambiance was was very welcoming and charming. We ended up being the last people there and it made me feel like I was in a movie:  'Us in the middle of the room as everyone prepare for the next day. I'm recommending this place to everyone!

Audrey M.

Yelp
My recent dining experience at Eddie V's Prime Seafood was exquisite. The crabcakes were succulent and bursting with flavor, while the crab fried rice was a delightful complement. The upscale ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

Shannon A.

Yelp
The food and service were outstanding!! Hands down, the best meal I've ever had. We went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. It's his favorite restaurant. Absolutely perfect!!!

George G.

Yelp
Food and service were just ok for a place of this caliber. I will give it a second try on a less busy day. Had to return my over cooked steak. Seems to be the spot for young professionals. Not impressed.

Paris D.

Yelp
The food is always great when I come here. It's pricey but I don't know any steakhouses that's not. Would recommend!

Amber J.

Yelp
If I could give this place 6 stars I would! The food, the service, the ambiance was top notch ! Not to mention we saw Earth Wind and Fire and Santa enter the building!!! I had the Chilean Sea Bass paired with the Au Gratin potatoes. The food melts in your mouth. You can't go wrong here.

Julia M.

Yelp
Been to this place only a few times, but the lobster is amazing and so is the drinks. Highly recommend it's beautiful and it's a beautiful atmosphere

Brian N.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant! Went there last night for a business dinner and was blown away the service (thanks to Marco) was great, the food including the Chili-rubbed NY Strip and Crab Fried Rice was incredible. Also, possibly the best Bread I've had as a starter. Definitely at the top on my list of Detroit area restaurants

Mansa M.

Yelp
Fine dining at its finest. Went there for my fiftieth wedding anniversary. Wife had the scallops and I had the Chilean sea bass. Both were Very good. This place is not inexpensive. Whether or not it's worth it depends your values. If you decide to do it, you'll have a good dining experience.

Yelp
ALL DOCTORS AND clinicians AVOID EDDIE VS in TROY for any dinner meeting as the manager JARED KIRKMAN WOULD not honor the contract for our dinner meeting presentation despite charging the credit card for the room and charging a minimum. Despite being told the party in the room before us starts at 3 pm and a 630 start would be no problem for our medical presentation, at about 6:40 we were told by the booking person it would be a few more minutes. We asked if she can inquire how much longer of if they can tell the party the next party booked for the room is waiting, she said she would try. JARED KIRKMAN then rudely intervened and said that he was the general manager and that she will do no such thing and we could take an alternative table in the middle of the loud restaurant or they would break the table down and we could leave. As we were trying to see how much longer for the room as a table in the middle of the restaurant was not conducive to a medical presentation, JARED KIRKMAN then said the other party is just cutting cake and it will be at least an additional 45 minutes, take the other table or leave. JARED KIRKMAN was rude, arrogant, obnoxious, unapologetic and unprofessional. He insisted the problem was the last minute of our booking of the room despite being told it was available, when it was booked is clearly irrelevant. JARED don't book a room if it may not be available or limit your guests to the time of the next party, JARED KIRKMAN offered no solution. As we had 13 people at the restaurant waiting we had no choice but to take the table.Unfortunately we could not hold the medical presentation making the evening a total disaster, a waste of time and money. PLEASE AVOID EDDIE Vs TROY MI AND JARED KIRKMAN the general manger, we hope DARDEN INC takes this complaint seriously and handles the situation urgently or no one will be able to book a meeting at EDDIE VS with any confidence that they will even be able to hold their meeting as the room may just still be occupied

Rensom S.

Yelp
Just awesome! Service took a minute to warm up to us but ended up being really good. Seafood triple tray was amazing! Lobster, shrimp, oysters, etc. Steak was awesome of course, sides are enough for 3-4 people. And Crème Brûlée did not disappoint. Expensive but worth it!

John M.

Yelp
Hello diners. While sipping a gin and tonic, I asked a co-conspirator at the bar... "in a successful coup d'etat, does one celebrate with champagne, caviar or a shag?" "Champagne of course!" He replied. I had to agree. Opening a bottle of champagne, French kitchen style, using a large chef's knife in lieu of a sword: Revolutionary fun! Oh what the hell, go full tilt and smash those glasses on the floor or fireplace too! Veni vidi vici quia omnis! Lucky for us, Eddie V's in Troy MI, had two of the three on the menu. Ironically, situated on Big Beaver Road, and if you didn't know, that's exit 69 off the highway. Seriously, draw your own conclusion on those. Anyway, back to Eddie's. Lovely spot on Troy's restaurant row, serving up premium seafood and steaks via a knowledgeable staff, eager to separate you from your denarii. Was it perfect? No. It was too damn dark to read the menu. But our server was a ray of sunshine. Did we have the right flatware for the oysters? No. But revolutionaries like us eat oysters off the shell. Were the steaks well seasoned and cooked to temp? No. But conspirators like us are used to the sight of blood. Regardless, Eddie V's made for a nice night out, on a Tuesday with accomplices. Start at the bar with a little champagne, caviar and a toast to your coup!

Yelp
So if you can't guess by the Rolls Royce trucks and all the other nice cars at the valet when you pull up, you're going to be paying some loot when you come here... but it's worth it. Though I ended up here for drinks and desert, I couldn't help myself and had to try some food too. The crab cake was damn near all chunk crab, none of that filler BS and was a good 5 in. diameter. The shrimp cocktail came with enough horseradish to put in your cocktail sauce to clear your sinuses... the way I like it. Each of the drinks were well made. The red dragon was a like a berry mojito, they set a glass over a wood fire for the smoked old fashioned. The bananas foster butter cake (also set aflame) was good enough to pull out of my fridge and eat the next day cold. This is great place for Anniversaries, Birthdays, self love days or if you're just ballin like that... figure out a reason to come here.

Yelp
I made reservations for Easter Sunday for 1:30 pm. The restaurant called me to confirm on the Thursday before my visit, and when we arrived at the restaurant there was only a short wait for our table. They were very well staffed for the holiday, and we were given a great table. Our server was very friendly and welcoming despite how busy it was. My husband ordered the Smoked Old Fashioned which is prepared table side. I ordered the Mango Mule minus the alcohol. They had no problem making my drink a virgin, and when I received the bill I was pleasantly surprised they only charged me for a ginger ale. It was the most inexpensive mocktail I've ever had. The bread starter was brought out quickly and served warm. We ordered a crab cake appetizer which was phenomenal, and the burrata and beet salad followed. The golden beets were very hard, and the amount of burrata vastly outweighed the number of beets on the plate. We did not finish all of the burrata as the serving was just too large. For our main course we ordered the 22oz. bone-in ribeye, and added on the 2 crab stuffed jumbo shrimp. The server asked if we would be sharing, and when we answered yes he offered to have the chef slice the steak for us which was nice. For side dishes we ordered the truffled macaroni and cheese, au gratin potatoes, and crispy brussel sprouts. The meal was paced very nicely and we had breathing room between each dish. When the steak was brought out, we noticed that it was well done instead of medium. Our server also noticed that the steak was overcooked, and he immediately removed it from the table to bring us a replacement. Shortly after the steak was removed, the manager (Jennifer?) came over to us to apologize and offered an appetizer or additional side dish for the inconvenience. This gave us the opportunity to try the crab fried rice as well. Our server brought us another steak now cooked to the correct temperature. The ribeye melted in my mouth. There weren't any additional flavorings needed as the meat spoke for itself. The jumbo shrimp were a bit overcooked and tough, so I would not order these again. The truffled macaroni and cheese was amazing, and definitely our favorite side dish. The au gratin potatoes were fork tender and creamy, and the brussel sprouts were crispy. The Korean glaze tasted like Hoisin sauce, and the peanuts were a nice compliment to the dish. Our least favorite side was the crab fried rice. There was a lot of crab in it, but it was pretty salty. The side dishes were definitely big enough to share between at least 2 people. For dessert we ordered the Hot Chocolate Godiva Cake and the Classic Cremé Brulee. Both were amazing, even though we were stuffed from our main course. Overall, we had some great dishes at Eddie V's and the customer service was excellent (especially for a holiday). I would definitely return in the future for the crab cake alone! However, I would pass on the burrata and beet salad, the crab stuffed jumbo shrimp, and the crab fried rice.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Waiter went above and beyond. My son's lemonade looked like a mocktail.

Yelp
We made reservations months ago and still had to wait about 30 mins to sit. Other than that everything was amazing the food the music the food and the ambiance. Our server Surell was very attentive and patient. Will return.

Yelp
Really 3.5 stars. Classic high class place that put a high value on quality and top notch service. Not some place that you go weekly but as a special place ( if you are part of the middle class working class). When I visited, it was supposed to be limited to 25% of normal seating but it sure looked like a lot more. I would hate to see it sat for normal times. The rest of the safety requirements needed to keep patrons and staff safe. Every thing my group had was delicious and enjoyed. The lobster bisque was good but I have had better at Weber's and even Zoup. The truffled Mac and Cheese was much better than Weber's. The sides are huge and sharable which could be a problem for the single dinner. The asparagus was just as good warmed up at home. The banana foster butter cake is worth every calorie. I ate it in 3 settings. I am glad I got to try the food and service. It is what you expect from this level of price. I just think other places do the same level at a better price.

Yelp
Everything was great, the food and service were excellent. The drinks were good as well. They have valet or you can find a spot. Will be back for sure ! A tad on the loud side but it's a fair trade for good food!

Yelp
Yes they were accommodating when I had to push our time back but very crowded and only option left was valet. Server was excellent and as we're late diners not rushed through courses. Food was very good.
