Dine and Drink While Listening to Live Music Around Atlanta

"Eddie’s Attic in downtown Decatur is the ultimate spot for dinner, drinks, and musical acts in an intimate setting. The music bar opened in 1991 and has become a staple for catching local and independent musicians from around the world as well as spoken word artists nearly every night of the week. The bar hosts songwriter open mic nights, too. While the kitchen is currently being renovated, the patio bar is open during shows as is the bar in the music room." - Beth McKibben

Bars and Nightlife in Atlanta

"It’s not so much about the drinks as it is about the music. Eddie’s is a beloved, intimate music hall dubbed a “listening room” where patrons can enjoy beer, wine, and pub food while taking in live music. The only rule: No talking while the band is playing. The Indigo Girls and John Mayer have roots here.Where: 515 N McDonough St, Decatur, GA 30030Holeman & Finch Public House Known for its double-stack cheeseburger, Holeman & Finch is also a great spot for a cocktail. Its list of bourbons, whiskeys, and scotches runs deep, and there’s a classic cocktail menu, as well as a house cocktail menu.Where: 2277 Peachtreet St NW Suite B, Atlanta, GA 30309" - MATADOR_NETWORK

"Stomping Grounds for Music Legends Name a music act that has come out of Atlanta in the last 20 years, and it probably performed at least once at Eddie's Attic, a famed Decatur music club. Opened in 1992 by Eddie Owen, everyone from John Mayer to Justin Bieber to the Civil Wars to the Indigo Girls have spent time on this stage. While Owen no longer books the acts at the attic, it's still a good place to catch an up-and-coming music act. You never know who could be famous tomorrow."

1st visit and had a great time! Saw 2 shows - Between Dreams session and Adam Warner - all put on a very solid show! Eddie’s Attic is a very intimate venue. Server was terrific. Ordered a burger and fries and it was really good for bar food. Drinks (wine) is on the pricey side. The seats are very uncomfortable though. They also have a roof top patio/bar that looks well setup. Overall highly recommend! Wish they had a similar venue in the area I live. Looking forward to another visit.

Google
Amazing intimate venue to experience top talent up close and personal. The historical lineup of artist who have stood on their stage produces so much reverence and nostalgia... its an emotional overload if you sit and think about it for too long, lol. Staff is wonderful from the front door greeter to the barracks. Clean and simple menu is just right for snacking between songs, and the waitress makes sure you are never left wanting.

Google
Saw one of my favorite singers at Eddie’s Attic and had an awesome time. The space is super intimatefeels like you’re in on something special. No bad seat in the house, and the sound was spot on. It’s the kind of place where you really get to hear an artist, not just watch them perform. If you’re into live music and want a more personal, stripped-down vibe, this is definitely the spot.

Google
Nice venue with decent but not great sound (vocals were lost in the mix). Saw Mother's Finest and they rocked the house! Arrive early to get a good table or seat.

Google
Parking is still difficult to find, the lot right behind the venue is $20 for anything over 2h. Seats are uncomfortable for sitting more than 2 hours. Food is good, bit a little pricey for me. Ticket, beer and parking ran me upwards of $40. Plan to spend about $50+ per person. Still a great small intimate venue that values hearing the musician over fighting with crowds. Staff is friendly and nice. Parking is usually difficult to find, and some of the people in the neighborhood are scary (homeless people are around) but the venue is nice. steep climb up stairs to a small but intimate venue. Good beer selection and decent food. recently renovated bathrooms are great! (Used to almost fall through the floor in the ladies room)

Laura Weston

Google
Nice experience but the food is very over priced! Two 5 piece wings (you can’t order more than 5 wings at a time) and one order of fries with water was over $43. Would definitely visit again to see different artists but will definitely ask about the prices before ordering.

Google
I've been here many times. They have it together when it comes to getting everyone in the venue. It's quick when you are General admission. There's not a bad seat on the house. This is an intimate venue and there are very few like this in the state. I appreciate this type of venue to see artists.. some are faves and some have became faves from how they performed during the close setting.

“Eddie’s Attic is a gem in the neighborhood! It’s a cozy, intimate place with a welcoming staff , bar, and they consistently host amazing artists and unique shows. The atmosphere is friendly, and it’s a fantastic spot for a night out. Highly recommended!”

Yelp
This place is magical! Such amazing talent comes through here so if you are a music lover, this place is a must! The bartenders will help you as best as they can and the food is good. Be prepared to wait a little bit if you are at a table especially once the show starts. The space is tight (like a small attic). If you are tall with long legs or need a lot of space, unfortunately, this is not the place you want to be. The sound though and the acoustics are just WOW! I just saw Sam Grisman Project there and it was a packed house where I was one of many standing in the "GA" area which is really anywhere you can find a space.

Yelp
I went to see a concert at Eddie's attic last night and I was so disappointed in the service. No one ever came over to my table. I finally went to the bar to get 2 glasses of wine, just regular glasses of wine and my total was $39 for 2 glasses of wine. They told me they would bring it to my table, and it probably took them about 20 min. to bring it over. The staff was very unfriendly. At least the music was good. If I come back, I will not be ordering anything from the bar. Unfriendly and very overpriced. Eat and drink before you go. Food is awful & drinks are way overpriced.

Yelp
I visited Eddie's Attic for my friends' awesome sold out music concert. This intimate venue is tucked away in popular downtown Decatur. It was Friday night, and there was a prior show. So, parking was hard to find. All the meter street parking across from the venue was taken. However, there's a $20 parking lot next to the venue. Drive slowly or you'll easily miss the entrance and will have to circle back. The building seems old and has rooftop bar with TVs where you can chill before the show. I went online and purchased a 4-person table about 3 months before the show. However, arrive early to select your table because folks can come as early as I believe 5 pm to select their reserved table. The sound/acoustic was fair. Our table barely comfortably accommodated 3 people. So, I don't know why they would even dare attempt to sit 4 folks at the tiny tables. The food was the worst. I ordered chicken tenders and fries for a fair price. Even with BBQ sauce, the chicken tenders were super bland. How do you mess up basic chicken tenders?! When I got home, (even with a 20% tip) I noticed my credit card was overcharged. I attempted to call the venue and the voicemail is full and the line just continues to ring. I sent an email. That was over a month ago and to date the business did not have the courteously to respond to my email inquiring about my credit card charges. I only recommend this venue if you're attending to support a musician. Definitely eat before you go, because the food will disappoint you. I would not recommend this business if you merely wanted to pop-in to enjoy live music.

Yelp
Place is small and always crowded, but great place for a good artist!. Acoustics are really good but expect to stand.

Yelp
Date Night w/hubby. Friday night could not have been more needed!!! My friend Ryan Horne (look him up) played last night at Eddie's Attic. We parked in a small public lot (no cost) & walked around the corner to find this joint. This venue has a LOT of Atl artists starting off here, a small club off the streets of Decatur, GA. Collective Soal, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mullins & John Mayer to name a few. Enter up a few brick steps through a door you aren't sure is OK to open. So open anyway to find a cool stair case up to the venue. A restaurant/bar to the right, looks COOL, to the left & bar, stage to the left. Some reserved tables otherwise seat yourself, grab a drink & meal & just RELAX! Food decent, very sm menu!! Bleacher seating is pretty cool, small tables & way too many chairs for the space, in no order-that's the charm!!! Climb over eachother in support of going to the bathroom, help servers send grub & drinks drinks... all good! There is a cover charge; eddiesattic.com for upcoming events & more info. Most of all, get out, enjoy life, support local artists & clubs. You won't be disappointed!! Can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Watching some live music on screen in the patio because they sold more tickets than seats. Not willing to stand at the back of the room three and four deep for 2 hours. Been coming here when in town over the last 15 years. So disappointed. Will never come back.
google avatar

RNelle S.

Yelp
I definitely recommend getting a table of 4 tickets and coming in when they are open to reserve your table is you really want prime seating (or to pick out your seats). It's a great spot to see great musicians. Drinks were way overpriced and not that good, so I'd try to avoid that if I could

Brandon S.

Yelp
So much history in a small venue. Monday open mic had some fantastic artists, it felt as though you were sitting there watching future industry icons.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great music venue. If you have a musician you like this is a great place to see them. All seats are great and people are there to listen to the music. They inform you before the show that it is a listening venue. Food is not worth it. Menu is very limited. I've updated it because the previous posted menu had more items than they currently have in their menu.
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
Ok. Eddie's used to be a fun venue! Went to hear an artist I know recently.. it was dirty, unorganized and the sound was off. They charge for a table seating, but it's just chairs crammed around a tiny table. The menu is very limited, which can be a great thing ... in this case, not so much. Honestly, by the state of the place, I was afraid to order food. The drinks were not good either and very $$$$! My friend ordered a coke, and it came out tasting like brown soda water. Then, she tried sweet tea, it was disgusting! Best bet... order canned beer!! Time to pack it up Eddie?

Yelp
This is an intimate listening room and a great little tavern! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here listening to live music. Great hospitality at the door. Fast and easy to get in and out of. Outdoor bar with a cover for the winter, still great ambience. Highly recommend and will visit here again! We didn'ty the food, but it smelled good and the folks at the table next to us seemed to like it!

Yelp
Open mic night was enjoyable. I just find it odd that two of the finalists were people who were there first talking to the judges before the show even started. Hmm.. songwriters open mic? More like the most sociable not most talented people win here. If you're an introvert with real talent who can actually play the guitar and write good songs (it won't matter here) Show starts at 8 not 7:30. If you want a table you better get there early .. most are reserved but 4 tables that said reserved stayed unoccupied the entire time of the show. While people stood around awkwardly.. Sound lady wasn't the best.. guitar needed more volume or voice needed more volume I think she got it right on maybe 5 of the 15-20 performers... Didn't eat the food so not gonna comment on that front. Service was ok at best. I asked for coffee and a water only got the coffee. There must be a water shortage. Be careful parking in the parking garage that their website site tells you to park in. You won't be able to get out. All the machines were broken.

Yelp
We went to see Blkbok a neo-classical piano prodigy. (His concert is a MUST SEE). The ambiance was nice, laid-back. Service was good & well (no complaints). Food was basic but good, we got Tater tots basket & two sweet teas for under $19.

Yelp
Even if you have never seen a live performance, you still know about Eddie's Attic, as it has been making an impact on the singer/songwriter community for about 30 years now and word on the street is that even the likes of John Mayer and the Biebs have given performances at this legendary place! Eddie's Attic is located in Downtown Decatur on the square and while it does not look like much from the outside, when you enter you immediately know you are in a small concert venue as the first think you see are the walls leading up the steps lined with posters of all the acts that headed Eddie's way in the coming weeks. You head up stairs and take a sharp left to enter the room where it all happens. The room is not big at all and is the "Listening Room", which means that talking and general loud rudeness will not be tolerated during the performances. Folks are there to listen and enjoy, and Eddie's staff makes sure that is possible for all who enter the space. I am not sure how they approach every gig, but for ours the doors opened at 5:00 PM and the show started at 9:00 PM. We had the opportunity to arrive anytime prior to show time to reserve the table/seats we wanted and if chose not to, we would get whatever was left available. We popped in around 7:00 PM and was able to reserve a front row/corner table which turned out to be phenomenal! During the show the bar was in full service and as mentioned, if you ordered during the set, you were asked to speak clearly, but not too loud. Once the show was over, we hopped to the other side of the up stairs area which was an open space where they had the merch tables set up and the artists hung out for pics and such. Overall, Eddie's Attic is a fantastic place for live music and it's even better knowing you are supporting the up and comers and it's also exciting to be able to say "I saw them at Eddie's before they hit it big!". We really enjoyed our night, even so much so that we started looking up the artists who were playing and that we did not know just so we could come back to enjoy and support! Oh and apparently they are a full service restaurant when they aren't putting on shows...we have not experienced the food side of Eddie's, but from the reviews and pics...it looks like it may be worth a shot!

Yelp
Great venue for live music, particularly musicians who have amazing talent but haven't experienced mainstream commercial success. Needless to say, this place won't break the bank. John Mayer would come here all the time to perform (when no one knew who John Mayer was). Now that he's famous, he'll drop in now and then and perform for free (yes, free!). Just a song or two before/after the real show. John Mayer doesn't do an entire evening here anymore.

Yelp
Landon Smith and Gavin Adcock was the best concert I've ever been to. Eddies Attic was the bomb. Venue was small, but that is the beauty of this place. The atmosphere of the venue is second to none. The music was great. And the service for a packed house was great and very timely. AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!!

Yelp
I love how small and intimate this venue is! No bad seats, no smoking in the music room. Quick service and just an awesome vibe and experience all of the times I've visited over 20 times and never disappointed at all! One of my favorite places around Atlanta!!
google avatar

Nick A.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere for a concert but definitely recommend buying a table and getting there early as bleachers are tough to sit in for an extended period. Only reason for not giving 5 is drinks are very over priced ($15 for a basic old fashioned) given venue and cocktail experience.

Tim R.

Yelp
$43 pitcher of "house lager". No really. Too bad, it is an iconic place to watch live music, but probably the worst place in town to have a beer at those prices. Shameful.

Daniel D.

Yelp
I joined a group of friends for a recent show at Eddie's Attic. I had heard that this club was legendary and was excited to see the Talbot Brothers, a band that my friends highly recommended. I would like to say that the the brothers were amazing! And what a great place to hear them, the room is small, and the sound was perfect. I loved the band! My low rating, however, comes from the poor menu and very expensive drinks. Eighteen dollars for extremely salty chicken tenders? Fifteen dollars for a cocktail? The most uncomfortable part of the evening was THE SMELL of grease that hangs in the air. I would have gone out to the patio for a breath of fresh but it was closed by 9pm. Come for the great performances, but please do not come for a meal or cocktail.

Charles H.

Yelp
Greatest place to go hear and see music live. The food is great and staff is great. You really need to go here.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been a patron of Eddie's for 20 some odd years. There were many times I just showed up on a weekend evening and bought a ticket without knowing anything about the act. In all those years, I have never seen a bad performance. HOWEVER - the past 3-5 years have seen a tremendous decline in the technical execution of those performances. Eddies seems to have shifted to a "make everything loud" model and thrown actual sound quality by the wayside. Last night's performance was so bad that the performer called out the engineer three times from the stage, AND it was punishingly loud. 12 hours later and my ears are still ringing and this was an acoustic singer songwriter. Random reverb popping in and out? Check. Random panning of the sound system left to right? Check. Feedback? Multiple times? Check. Overdriving the monitors to the point the audio starts to crack? Check. I don't know wtf is going on. Maybe they're hiring deaf audio engineers. Whatever it is, they need to get a handle on it.

Yelp
This is one of my very favorite venues in the world for experiencing music. And I do mean experiencing!! Eddie's is a listening room - not a bar. It is small and can feel a bit crowded when there is someone popular playing, but even when crowded, the crowd usually comprises a "seasoned" crowd of folks who are quiet and respectful of the artist. Most nights, there will be no loud conversations, or talking over the music. We have always had a wonderful experience here. We have seen Slaid Cleaves (x2), Al Stewart, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Suzy Bogguss, Joshua James and John Oates here. There is a restaurant and bar area on the patio outside for those who want to talk and/or are not attending an event. The food is pretty good, but this is not a food review. They also have a bar in the listening room and will serve you food in there, as well. I recommend the beignets and a pitcher of local craft beer. Also, for the best experience, get a group of four folks and reserve a table. Get there early and check in so you can get first choice of seats. Then grab a drink on the patio. You will not regret it!

Bill S.

Yelp
It happens a lot these days when a company is bought out and the name remains. Eddie himself is long gone from the Attic but the name remains. The heartbeat of the place is gone and the feel is totally different. The music is still great but the last few times I've gone staff was rude, and crowd management and punctuality was nonexistent. When shows are late, there is no comfortable wait area. Drinks are slow and sometimes forgotten. The food is typical bar food. People are packed in and then told they are in the way. If there is a "must see" act, I suppose I might put up with the difficulties, even though it shouldn't be difficult to go to a show at bar.

Yelp
This review is for the venue itself. I arrived at Eddie's Attic at 8:45pm, when we were told doors open, for a 9pm show. People from the previous show were slowly leaving, and the workers were just beginning to cleanup the listening room. As I waited to check in, people kept cutting in front of me, as there was no organization or direction on where we should be. When I got to the front, the worker checking people in proceeded to have a conversation with a lady standing to the side, as I stood, clearly waiting to check in. After a few minutes of politely waiting for their conversation to end, someone behind me in line stepped forward, and told the worker that we were all waiting. This finally got his attention and moved things along. It was completely unprofessional and frustrating. At this point, being fed up and seeing that I wouldn't be entering the music room on time, I went to the outdoor bar area to get a drink. While service was on the slower side, the bartender was lovely, and acknowledged me and everyone else who arrived. She seemed overworked, but was attentive and very nice. We finally entered the listening room around 9:30. As a music venue, Eddie's Attic is great. It's intimate, a great listening experience, and the band and opener were both amazing. Bartenders and servers were also good. They walked around the venue a few times to take orders, and make sure we were all satisfied. Overall, Eddie's Attic is a good music venue with okay service. Come with low expectations and be pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
The worst experience at any establishment we've ever been to. I don't want to but I will give you all the warning of why to NEVER sit on the porch for a cocktail and dinner if you are in your golden years. From the beginning the service was slow . There was one person working the entire bar and deck. She made all the drinks as well. We ordered two glasses of house wine , Mahi tacos, chicken wings, and a nice salad. It took at least 20 mins to get the drinks and they were brought out by a young man who just appeared out of nowhere and then rushed away. When the food came my tacos were COLD and I debated, because I don't want to waste food but, they were actually cold to the touch, not warm. The lady takes the food back , but doesn't offer me a drink, as my wine glass was empty and there was no water. It was hot as hades. So a few mins later the "guy" comes back and says " you know we put cold toppings on the fish , so we're not sure how you want us to fix this". It sounded like it came straight from some uppity chef. I told him I know how things are made and I know how to cook, I don't care what u do except use a microwave . My wine glass still empty, so I asked for water and two wines. The same tacos came out and he says sarcastically " be careful these are going to be really hot". I just rolled my eyes to myself but my partner and I just shook our heads. So yes they microwaved them. They were steaming and to chewy to eat. Horrible waste of nice ingredients. As the people came out from the first show, another waitress comes on duty. No one came back to check on us , it took forever to get our drinks and I was trying to eat hot hard mahi tacos without even a glass of water. Which finally the young man brought. The original server never said she was leaving, and the new one never introduced herself. It appeared that everyone was being taking care of but us , and she kept looking right at us but never came over. We were the elders just waiting on some service. Restroom: I asked where it was;entered from the the deck and reached for the door and I was told "oh don't go in there, that's the green room. " like it was some super private club. The waitress is there and doesn't open her mouth to show me where the restroom was. Everyone we came in contact with was snooty. No towels in the restroom ... the man at the desk hands me a roll and says " just put it on the counter " . I said yes of course; he was not polite he did not apologize, he didn't break a smile. My boyfriend tells me there were no towels in the men's either. The kicker- the bill was $96 . The wine was $14 a glass. So over a hundred dollars for bar food and terrible service for two people. We could almost have had white table cloth for that price. It was terrible ... appalling. We were gouged! We were just so disappointed and I left hungry for $100. The kids working here need to learn to be respectful to the older age people... we enjoy the same things, music included( we had just been to the "John Denver " show. ) and have been enjoying Eddies since before they were born. Horrible millennials didn't want us in the establishment and a business that has the audacity to charge $14 for a glass of wine and only offer that one brand. Sadly they have lost our business, although I'm sure they won't care. :( So sad.

Yelp
AWESOME. Hubby and I went to see Mother's Finest last night. It was my first time at this venue. It is so nice and intimate. The acoustics were absolutely fantastic. All of the servers were quick with your order with a great smile and conversation. Drinks are reasonably priced considering it's a concert venue. We didn't eat, but lots of people were enjoying it. I will definitely be back soon to see someone else.

Yelp
I was recently introduced here thanks to the Empress and her wonderful events. If it wasn't for that (and a weird twist of fate that otherwise happened that night), I probably would never have made it here. Now, I have full intentions of coming back! So, this place is apparently a smaller music venue, that is literally has City Hall, and the courthouse as its neighbors- so feeling safe shouldn't even be an issue here. There is some parking out front, but a huge lot behind the courthouse. it's like a minute walk. Literally. Or you can even take Marta- long story short, this Alpharetta Suburbanite made it here in one piece, in under an hour (during rush hour), so if I can, then I sure as hell know you can! This is a brick 3-4 story building. You walk in, go up the steps, and bam- you have 3 options- the pisser(s), the listening room, or the rooftop patio (which I went to). I am sure there are more options, but I didn't go snooping around. For a Thursday night in the middle of May, Kathleen couldn't have picked a better night to pick this event- although it was a weatherproof patio (complete with 3 tvs, and multiple warming units), you couldn't ask for a nicer ambiance. I went up to Dave (one of the 2 bartenders) and asked him about the Yelp event coming. He said to sit whereever. So my buddies and I picked a corner table. He came right over with menus and greeted us. He also told us about the $4 pork tacos, $4 fish tacos, and all drafts were $4 (thank you, Yelp!). I started with the pork, a Yunegling, and I think another drink. And did they come out fast or what! The tacos came out before the rest of the Yelpers came, I was pleased by that! The food came, and for $4, damn it was good! In fact so good, I ended up getting fish tacos, which were awesome as well! When Dave got busy, Nikki (sp?) was the other bartender who served us. She was a doll, very helpful and courteous too. We enjoyed her company. After all of the drinking and eating we did, we were expecting an easy $70+ PP tab, but I shit you not, it was like $35PP average- I couldn't believe it! Hell, we even got dessert too!. Getting to see familiar faces and meeting new faces (and bringing my friends {which are newer Yelpers} out) is always pleasing. This was an awesome time that I will not forget! Can't wait to come back here! The food was solid, especially for a venue! I can dig it! This was literally, just shy of a 5 star event! Also note, the patio is nonsmoking, so you will have to step outside if you want to smoke- I did like that, as I have been going 2 years without smoking... Dave even gave us a music schedule for the upcoming events, and I will be sure to check a few out! Thanks again to everyone who made this a great evening!

Yelp
Came here to see Howie Day and was amazed by what I found... Beignets with caramel dip: HOLY CRAP THESE ARE GOOD. They were hot and sweet and perfection. Soft, coated in sugar, and sweet when dipped in the caramel dip. ORDER THIS YOU WILL NOT REGRET! Calamari: Not bad. Could eat this forever if I wanted to. Its like that for me with their sweet potato fries tooo... nom... Pork tacos: not bad. I thought I wouldn't be full with the 3 tacos, but that third one was hard for me to finish. So the perfect amount :) wish it came with sides and they weren't a la carte... Def will come here again someday :) And right next door to Brickstore? YES SIR!

Yelp
Eddie's attic is in a cute location walking distance to Ice cream and Food We paid to go to the Open Mic (Listening room) One of the rules is complete silence while artists are performing. Artists can only do 2 songs or 10min. The good thing is that if someone isnt your cup of tea, 2 songs and it is over! I was there from 7:30-9:30 and heard 10 different people. Some awesome some not to awesome! We didnt eat here. I just ordered a rum punch and it was ok (lacking flavor)

Yelp
I was here to listen to Adron's concert. I loved the venue. It is small and cosy. The concert was amazing, such a great turnout. The food was average priced. The servers were walking around all night but was also kind of hard to get hold of as because of the noise. I definitely enjoyed my first experience and hope to come to listen to more music here. Be aware: to sit at a table, you need to book at least 4 tickets.. so we showed up early to get good seats and ate.. i would also recommend going to Adron's concerts. She sings beautifully and loved her song introductions and her persona.

Yelp
Eddie's Attic is a great little venue, I love the cozy and quaint atmosphere and how "one on one" you feel with the artists performing. For parking, the courthouse parking deck is one block down the road and is free after 6pm (if you get there before 6, it's still free. If you leave before 6 you have to pay $6) so parking is a breeze. Our show started at 7:30, we came with my in laws who were coming from out of town, so we were hoping to eat dinner together beforehand. After perusing the menu beforehand, I was a little disappointed in the very low variety of options they provided. Once I got there, it made sense to me as to why. They definitely aren't equipped to being a full blown restaurant and music venue....if you are going to a show, I would highly recommend eating dinner at another local restaurant beforehand. It's really only good for a bar snack during the show, if that. I also found that their drink prices were pretty expensive. Not a complex drink menu, they do have an Old Fashioned on the menu but I would be super hesitant to try it! The tables are VERY small and crunched together, we were super fortunate that the show wasn't super packed or else we would have been squished in like sardines (we had a group of 4). These tables are more equipped for groups of 2, maybe 3 comfortably. I do like that they give you the option to pick where you sit, there really isn't one bad seat in the house! The show itself was incredible and we were so impressed with they way the show was run, the sound, etc. the artists are super interactive with the audience, which we loved. My husband and I are planning to find a few other small artists and come back to enjoy a weekend night show in the future!

Yelp
I have been coming to Eddie's Attic to enjoy live music from some of my favorite local and touring artists for nearly twenty years - more than half my life! It remains one of the best venues in which to experience music, and I recommend it highly to anyone who has the chance to see an artist they enjoy performing there. Until last night, I had never had an even slightly negative experience there. Years ago, Eddie's Attic opened a bar and restaurant on their patio. I've eaten there a few times and never failed to enjoy the experience - delicious and creative food that's very reasonably-priced, especially for the area. However, last night Edward L. and I sat down at about 6:30. We had to ask for help several times (in a chill, polite way) as we watched two other tables - one of which included the performer, who was of course waited on right away - before we were finally seen. The situation didn't improve there. Our server, who appeared to be the only bartender working either bar as well as the only person taking any food orders - was very rude and dismissive. When Edward L. tried to be friendly and asked him if he was okay, the server just glared and said, "Go ahead, Dude." In other words, stop wasting my time, can't you see I'm slammed? Well, okay. So much for being pleasant! We put in our wine and food order. We still had about 45 minutes before the main performer took the stage and explained to him things were fine, we just wanted to be sure we didn't miss the show. He returned with the wine about 15 minutes later and explained that the kitchen was backed up, so we actually got the food about 40 minutes after ordering (over an hour after sitting down.) Edward L. and I are both easygoing people, but missing about a third of the concert we had paid and arrived in plenty of time to see really sucked. On the other hand, the food was delicious and the venue was as great a place for experiencing music as it always is. I do feel that there should have been a simple apology for our experience. The only thing keeping this at three stars is the fact that I've been here many many times before and this is the only time I've had such a negative experience.

Yelp
We tried Eddies Attic for Burger Week. The best part was the outside patio. The Big South burger was okay. I enjoyed the bacon and fried pickles on it. The happy hour drinks were good. Parking is free after 6:30pm near the Courthouse. This might be a great spot for happy hour when the weather is nice.

Yelp
Here we are-8 pm, Decatur Atlanta area. Tired from traveling n driving around in the crazy traffic. We are ready to settle but we were hungry. Our choice -is this interesting place. We were too tired to go to the show but we enjoyed a quick dinner. It was simple and yummy. I picked tacos with fish. There were many people for show and I am sure it was a great show because many people came. We paid $12 for parking.

Yelp
A childhood friend of The Hubs' (that he hadn't seen in over a decade) was performing here and invited us to check out the show. The show was awesome, by the way. I'd never heard of Eddie's Attic, so I didn't know what to expect...except that it was probably attic-like somehow. And it was. I was a bit overdressed for the situation, as per usual. But it was a cool, casual, intimate venue. The drinks were okay. I did enjoy my tuna burger. The Hubs had a veggie burger which he liked. We both were good and had salad sides, but I secretly wanted to try their fries. All in all, it was a chill spot to spend a Sunday night. And The Hubs got to see his kindergarten pal so it was a good night.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Chinua Hawk and band perform here. The cocktail was top-notch, and the intimate setting was just what the doctor ordered for my friend and I. Afterwards we grabbed ice cream at Jeni's, and I fell in love all over again with the Butter Crunch. I'd recommend this place for a spontaneous live music with a group of friends and date night. Score!

Yelp
well, from what i could hear it was a great concert! my recommendation is don't sit by the bar if you'd like to hear the music. the bar tender is not only slow, but incredibly loud. slamming glass bottles in the trash can during the performance. it was like he was playing a game of how loud can i be before my boss tells me to quiet down? there were two extremely loud women at the bar talking the ENTIRE concert, and of course the bar tender walked by multiple times and didn't say a word. shocker! he was too busy taking shots with them. this venue needs to do a better job of policing their patrons as people come here to hear good music. the random employee walking around once during the concert with the "shhhhh" finger to his lips really does nothing.

Yelp
As a music venue, I really like this spot. I've seen several shows here and that part is typically a very good experience. Small, intimate setup that is perfect for those singer/songwriter types. However, my recent experience led to a great deal of disappointment and frustration in regards to their service and drink prices. The average price of a draft beer here is now $8 (EIGHT!). Seriously??? A lot of them are local crafts that typically cost no more than $6 anywhere in Atlanta (which is still too high for a beer made a few miles away). My girlfriend got a glass of wine that cost 12 friggin dollars. This place isn't fine dining or anything I would even call upscale. Part of its "charm" is how much of a casual spot it is, so I don't know wtf they are doing selling booze for these prices. In an almost hilarious twist of irony, they have their "mission statement" displayed on the stage, which includes the following: "We hope you find the very best in service and entertainment value here at Eddie's Attic. It is our goal to make sure you leave with a smile, saying that you had the time of your life." Well if that's the case, Ed, STOP PRICE GOUGING YOUR CUSTOMERS!

Yelp
This place is such a gem tucked inside the downtown area of Decatur. If you love supporting singer song writers and authentic/original artists, then look no further! I've attended a few shows and they all have been superb, both in the content of the artists, the experience, ad the generally very affordable pricing of the tickets. The last show I attended was only $12 per ticket and that was paying a little extra to secure a reserved table, which I encourage you doing. Otherwise, you might be standing with no where to perch if the show is packed. Review their online schedule and schedule some time to check out some awesomely talented artists you might not have ever heard of before!

Yelp
An intimate and unassuming gem of a venue. I've always heard about the legendary acts that played at the Attic before they got their big breaks. I was excited to finally visit this beloved breeding ground for musical talent. I came on a Tuesday evening to see Ben Taylor play. Parking could not have been easier - I parked along the street in a metered spot across from the Chick-fil-A and caddy corner to the Eddie's Attic entrance. We got to the Attic around 7:00pm for an 8:00pm show to snag a good spot and grab a bite to eat. By the way - when you buy your tickets ahead of time online, you receive a handy dandy reminder email the day of the show that outlines tips and tricks and rules of the house for a show at Eddie's Attic. THE SPACE: We walked up the creaky old steps to the attic where the doorman checked our IDs, marked off our names on the list, and stamped cute little musical notes onto our hands. I was pleasantly surprised at the small size of the space. If I had to guesstimate, I'd say there's room for about 40 people. No matter where you sit in the place, you're going to feel like you are right within reach of the stage. It's like you're in a friend's attic (with a full kitchen and bar) just dropping in for a jam session. I'm a sucker for little shows like this where you really feel like you are up close and personal with the artist. There are little circular tables along the left side of the space on either side of a high-top island of stool seating. All of these tables had little "reserved" signs on them. When you purchase your tickets online, you have the option to purchase single tickets, or purchase a group of 4 to reserve a table ahead of time on a first come, first serve basis. My friend and I bought single tickets and were fortunate to arrive early enough to snag two stools at the worn wooden bar. We had a great spot, but there was an obnoxious pole in the middle of the room right in front of the stage that obstructed our view a bit, so we had to do some awkward leaning to get the view right. The space is old with wooden furnishings, and it's got a hipster-y vibe with some historic charm. You can just feel that this place has seen some true artists over the years. An interesting feature - along the back wall by the entrance to the main room is a random little set of stairs that I guess you could call stadium seating where people can perch and take in the show. FOOD AND DRINK: My friend and I were pleasantly surprised to find that the Eddie's Attic menu is beyond the stale and bland "bar food" that I'm accustomed to finding at bar venues: a hummus plate, a mahi mahi sandwich, black bean burger... and much more. I was also pleased with their drink list which includes a variety of domestic and imported beers on draft and bottled for anywhere from $3.50-$7.00. I went for my classic glass of red wine for $7.50. Pretty standard price for a glass of wine at a bar, but the pour was very generous. They also have a few quirky cocktails like a special twist on a moscow mule served with Cathead pecan vodka and ginger beer. My friend inquired about the salad special - a lump crab and avocado salad. Our server candidly gave us her opinion on the taste of it, explaining that the texture was a bit odd and unexpected. Deterred by this honest review, my friend ordered the chicken sandwich on a wheat bun with sweet potato fries. I ordered the thai salad with chicken, served up in a hefty bowl with cabbage, lettuce, mandarin oranges, cucumber, and fresh grilled chicken breast. I asked for no won-tons, but they missed that an threw them in anyway so I awkwardly picked them out on a napkin. One weird point worth noting - the bar staff keeps glasses of iceless water queued up at the bar, each with a straw, for anyone who requests water. No ice for you. Also, when I got to the bottom of mine, the servers did not offer to replenish. MUSIC: I've been listening to Ben Taylor since I was in high school, so of course I loved his songs and hearing his soothing, folksy voice in person. But the acoustics in the Attic are great. The sound guys worked the controls well and I never felt like I was being deafened by the volume. It's funny because the crowd is very much anti any kind of talking or whispering or noise-making during the sets. When someone tried to get a whispered word in, he was promptly hushed. Not sure if it was a staff member or a fan, but it was established early on that talking was a no no. I would love to come back to Eddie's attic for another tasty meal and intimately awesome show. Chill and lovely and all around very satisfying.

Yelp
Went to enjoy "Mother's Finest" 4/19/18 this was one of the best concerts I've been to in some time. The venue is intimate. There is a small bleacher like seating area. This is the best, you can see everything and feel the air. The tables are ok if you like being crowded as you munch out and drink. The staff was kind we did not eat their but the food that we saw looked pretty good. I will surely go back and recommend Eddie's Attic to the true music lover. Real music being played by true artist. Thank you Mother's Finest for a great evening!!!!

Yelp
Eddie's is where I first (like so many people) found the amazing Shawn Mullins. But it's also the birthplace of my love for acoustic guitar... so that also includes artists like Susan Werner, Rockwell Church, Willie Porter, Alexis Vear and so many more. This is an absolute must music venue because it is a "listening parlor" - not just your run-of-the-mill small concert joint. People are not only respectful, but reverent almost, of the folks who play here. Make sure to reserve a table ahead of time for your favorite artist or band, and order the sweet potato fries with a beer on tap. you'll love it.

Yelp
I came here for a private dinner/tasting. The food offered that night was: BBQ pork sliders (EXCELLENT), stuffed mushroom caps (OKAY), Thai salad, w/ side of salmon (VERY GOOD), $16, and Fish Tacos Trio (VERY GOOD), $8. Wines by the glass were $7. Service was teriffic, and great attitudes. Bottom line: I would return and know that I could enjoy their food while getting entertained.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite music venues. They truly care about the music. Small intimate space that gets you up close and personal with the musicians. I saw Cicada Rhythm and Toby Lightman here and both were amazing! They serve food and drinks which is great during the show. The food was pretty average. It's in a great location right in downtown Decatur- great to walk around before or after the show.
