Ordered here tonight for pickup, but my boyfriend put in delivery instructions on the note. Clearly our fault on this one, I'll accept that.
After waiting about an hour for our food, we drove to Eddie's to pick up our order. At 3 am (before they advertise they close), the doors were already locked. The giant sign on the door said "Open 'til 4 AM". So, seeing an employee in there, we knock and ask to pick up our order since they have not closed yet.
She opens the door, and says they don't have any pickups. I give the name on the order, and then I ask if she's had any orders for that. She says that they got confused because there were delivery instructions (detailed instructions how to reach my house; it's a maze to get here), so they sent it out for delivery.
I ask when the delivery person left, and she calls him on speaker phone to ask. He says he's reached my subdivision already and is going to set my food at the door. I tell him to put a $10 tip (almost 50%) on the paper because both of them were willing to help me out when they definitely didn't have to (even though they weren't supposed to close until 4am).
Cut to thirty minutes later, and there is no food at my door. I assume he dropped the food off at one of my next door neighbors' houses, so I then peeked my head at their front doors in hopes he left them sitting on their doorstep. No luck. I call the restaurant, knowing there are still employees that can answer the phone and say if he dropped it at the wrong place. I've called three times with no answer, no food at my door, and $35 soon to be taken out of my bank account.
I'm giving two stars because the food is good when you get it & the lady working the restaurant tonight was very kind. However, those don't make up for not getting my food and closing over an hour before they are scheduled
Update:
After the calling restaurant the next day, I was informed by an employee that I couldn't receive a refund for my food even though i never received it. This was after she claimed that they don't have a manager that I could speak to. Downgrading my rating to one star.
