Real live drive in. The waitress was even wearing roller skates. Food was good and service was fast.

Google
It's a classic drive in. Small "American" favorites are offered. That being said, the burger was tasty, the service was quick, and the malts were amazing. It has a rustic overall vibe, but that's part of the charm. I would definitely go back.

Google
Bought my family some food before getting on the boat across the street from this cute little place and……it was SUPER disgusting! My kids didn’t even eat it! I spent $41 on two kids meals and a meal for my older child and two appetizers. The only thing my kids liked was the lemonade. I will NEVER go back!!

Google
Eddie’s is a great local spot for a quick bite to eat in the car! The classic vibes and friendly servers on skates definitely make this place stand out as a summer spot! Great service!!! They have rotating food specials and have classic car shows. The chicken strips, corn dogs, and burgers are great and if you have room for dessert, go for an ice storm or tin roof sundae! 🍦😋

Google
Super cool drive-in restaurant. The service is fantastic, as is the atmosphere. Have tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed. As an extra bonus, there's usually a couple of beautiful old cars there, as well. Highly recommended!

Google
I've been coming here for as long as I've lived in Michigan and this was the worst overpriced hot dogs and sides that I've ever had! The buns were stale, the hot dogs were even skinnier and dried up until it crunched biting in to it! Barely any chili. Everything was smothered in so much cheese to cover up the lack of everything that it was gross! The cost is ridiculous! Base price for hot dog $3.50-$5.50 plus $1.25 per topping?! The sauerkraut was minimal and disgusting. Thought about asking for owner or manager but I went to restroom and could hear them all talking inside. Between their foul mouths and total lack of caring about what they were doing, I knew better than to waste my breath! The waitress was wonderful. It wasn't her fault! I'll never be back. $60 for 4 regular hot dogs and 2 fries, and footlong and an onion ring (which were all a clump stuck together)! I could have had steak for that! You want a good hot dog go to Home Depot cart outside. Seriously, it's great! The ambiance here used to be amazing and you couldn't even find a place to park. Now it's heartbreaking, because at this rate the doors will be closed in no time!

Google
NOT worth the price. $41 for two burgers, an order of fries and mushrooms, a large pop and a kid size float. Paid extra for bacon and cheese, and only received it on one burger. Lettuce mixed with the sauce made everything really soggy. NO paper receipt available so you really don’t even know where the price is coming from, even the text receipt has NO info. Kinda ridiculous. Awesome aesthetic but it is not on my re-visit list.

Google
It has been family tradition to bike ride to Eddie’s to kick off summer vacation with the children in our family for over 20 years- We are absolutely disgusted with the behavior of the employees. We arrived with 4 children, 2 grandparents, and another adult. After spending over $50 on partially melted ice cream that took 20 minutes to arrive, we were still patient (and even left a tip) We had already invited more family to join us, however once they arrived we were insulted and called “a group of vultures standing around” by a staff member. We were paying customers, finishing up our icecream and trying to help the rest of our family get theirs placed. At that point, we’d only been there 30 minutes—20 of which was spent waiting for our first order. I understand the stress of a busy day, But there is never an excuse to be rude and disrespectful, especially in front of children.

Yelp
This was our first time there and it was great. Our waitress came rolling up and we ordered for three of us. Dino nuggets for the kid (which the waitress said she ate them to make the kid laugh), then a burger and coney dog for adults. Old school curly fries were amazing and washed that down with A&W. It had the setting of an old school drive in which was great in such a modern age. Great place, great prices, friendly staff, and good food.

Yelp
Eddies drive-in is one of the few remaining nostalgic drive-up food establishments of old. Let's be clear, this is all about the experience- a hot dog and a root beer float, windows down and watching the day pass by. There are plenty of days where classic cars line the lot and you can take a stroll around and look at some cool cars while you enjoy the day. They have to OG roller skating waitresses, but know that most days it is only 1 waitress for the entire restaurant. They are seasonal, so there is only a short window to check this place out!

Cameron B.

Yelp
Service could barely be described as service... Shari or however you spell that witches name has some serious control issues, she wasn't being rude, she just is flat out rude. She denied everything and blocked my coworker, when we complained. extremely childish

Yelp
Great! Wish it was open all year round. ..........................................................................................................................................

Yelp
Love it here! Great staff, great experience, and yummy classic food. Their Boston coolers are absolutely delicious.

Yelp
First time here and it was pretty good. I got the 1/3lb burger and fries. My husband got the hot dog, but ate it before I could take a pic

Yelp
Eddie's drive-in brought back the days of drive-in restaurants. The service was even done on rollerskates. Service was fantastic. The food was amazing. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth the stop. The chocolate malt was delicious! If you get Eddie's burger, I would bring a towel to put in your lap. It is a stack of delicious mess between a bun that you shouldn't miss. You even get your food served on a window hanging tray.

Yelp
Don't come for thence enter price. This place is about the experience. Don't get me wrong. The food is ok. Not spectacular. The price is not a great value. The the thing to do is get higher quality food but buy less of it. Take a Gordon Ramsey hint or a Taco Bell hint and use a few ingredients for the offers you have.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Old school favorite. My grown daughters love this place & always wanna go. Food is great and the roller skating service is pretty cool. Great Atmosphere for dine in car or hop out a grab a picnic table experience.

Rj H.

Yelp
Great food! Grilled salmon and grilled chicken options right on the water. Best onion rings :-)

Tom F.

Yelp
Food is okay, I think the main reason to come here is the nostalgic vibe. Don't get me wrong, the food is pretty good, but a drive up restaurant is classic

B K.

Yelp
Ordered the Edie burger was good - service was fast. Neat little 50s type drive on where you can eat in your car.
google avatar

Abigail C.

Yelp
Food is okay. I had the chicken strip basket with fries. Chicken tasted good but the fries were on the soggy side. I enjoyed the root beer float. Its a neat concept, as the wait staff roller skate out to your car to take the order. You can eat in your car and the put the food on a tray that is held by your car window. You can also order to go and they will bag it up nicely. I would say the menu has various options for both vegetarian and meat lovers, but probably not the most healthy options. Anyways food is decent and it worth the experience.

Yelp
4 stars so you will visit, and 3 stars for the actual food. Eddies has been around along time, so they say. The outside look relatively maintained and clean. There is a nice chalkboard to alert you of any specials, and each car pull in area has a small menu. Theres patio/picnic tables and umbrellas and you can eat over there and they will take you menus. They sell ice cream/shakes too. But we only tried the hot dogs, coneys, corn dogs, and fries. Which were good! I wish the hot dog snapped, and the corn dog is probably frozen, but the fries were good. Its normal frozen and fried stuff, its not a 5 star spot. But the service was fast, our waitress dressed in a pink skirt and rollerblades was quick and attentive. They do have a 5 dollar minimum on orders with a card tho.

Crystal K.

Yelp
Happy mother's day yeah right.they have a rude manger there that would not make me a new burger or refund my money because my food was cool and trying to say it sat on my tray for 25 minutes when that was the first thing my son handed me because it is Mother's Day. I just spent 51$ and she got rude and said I'm not doing anything to for have a great fucking day and walked away steady saying things I would not even put the star but it makes you

Yelp
All the best aspects of the old fashioned drive ins Excellent Hamburgers, onion rings and peach cobbler! Highly recommended!! Just wish that the root beer was served in frosted mugs

Yelp
Not going into details but the owner or manager or whoever??? Basically accused me of trashing the business online during a conversation on messenger. When I asked them to provide proof, ie; screenshot or direction to the post I got ZERO response. I even went so far as to venture back on their page to see if in fact there was a post and all the way back to 2019 there is nothing, Zero! Not really sure who owns or runs the place at this point but it's not good business practice to accuse people of something without providing some solid details. Been going to Eddie's for over 20 years with the kids ect ect but I guess I've had my last Eddie burger. If they ever get rid of the wack job running/owns the place I'll return..

Yelp
First time there Tuesday night...Ate there two days in a row! Double burger with cheese and bacon ,onions and pickles w/seasoned curly fries and of course an A&W root beer....man o man! Absolutely awesome! (Service) The blonde lady helping us was really cool and didn't forget one thing! (Ambiance) Love the back in the day feel of going to the the drive-in food spot!

Yelp
I had a craving for a root beer float and a burger. We got the fried pickles, Monterey Jack cheese sticks and burgers. The skating car hops were super friendly and despite it being crowded, the food didn't take long at all. The cheese sticks were clearly hand dipped and yummy. The pickles weren't super exciting and quite chewy. The burgers aren't cooked to temperature, but satisfied my grilled burger craving. The atmosphere is nostalgic and the food is good-but not amazing. They always always deliver a consistent product.
google avatar

Shauntel O.

Yelp
Food was ass for the price, and my shrimp was burnt my husband didn't get his honey mustard. Won't be back.
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
Been coming here a long time. We used to always get this really nice waitress who worked there many years. I wish I knew her name. She saw our son grow up and always remembered us every summer we came back.... anyway We've never had a bad experience here. I was surprised at some of the reviews. It's a great nostalgic place to come in the summer. The food isn't horrible. The ice cream is good and The chili cheese dogs are the best!

Yelp
Recently visited Eddie's for the first time after many of suggestions from friends. It had been years since I have ever visited a true old school drive-in, and Eddie's really hits the nail on the head. As we pulled in our stall and rolled the windows down, we were greeted with oldies music playing in their sound system. Our server rolled her way (yes, they still wear roller skates!) and took our order. It was a calm Saturday afternoon and we had a great view of the park across the street and could hear all the people out on their boats having a blast. Naturally I had to order a footlong coney with an order of their seasoned curly fries. The curly fries were pretty amazing. Not heavily seasoned and had an excellent crisp to them. Probably some of the best I've had. The footlong however is the only reason this place isn't getting a 5 Star review. While the dog and chili were tasty, the bun tasted incredibly stale and was kind of hard. From what I was told from my friends is that the buns are usually steamed, which would have been perfect, but alas, mine was not on this visit, I am not going to let this deter me from visiting again. I will definitely be back soon!

Kathy W.

Yelp
Always looked forward to Eddie's opening. Not anymore. $4.50 for a small root beer float. I know prices have gone up everywhere .. but that was ridiculous. They obviously don't care what they put out. The hot dog buns were so stale, they crunched. Must have been from last yeaar. Bye-bye Eddie.

Yelp
Being a staple in the Harrison Twp area, I finally had to stop into this 50s inspired roller-skating drive-in restaurant. Pulling your car up to one of the spots, the staff rolls over to your window on their roller skates and takes your order. They offer a variety of grill foods including burgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, shakes, malts, fries, mozzarella sticks, and much more. Prices were very reasonable and service was quick, efficient and very friendly. When your tray of food arrives, it is placed onto your window and you enjoy your food in your car in true drive-in nature. The food was good. The cheeseburger served to fill my burger craving, and the seasoned curly fries were crisp and flavorful. The mozzarella sticks were also perfectly cooked as they achieved the appropriate stringy cheese pull upon taking the first bite. Worth the experience to check out!

Kimberlee C.

Yelp
Left a vm to have the manager call me back to complain. Never returned my call, and they apparently don't check their reviews either. Terrible what's happened to Eddie's drive in with new owners.

Mya A.

Yelp
Hamburgers sucked!!!!! Felt like they had fat bubbles broke on top... And the prices, ridiculous. SMH

Kathy L.

Yelp
Terrible service and food. The management only wants your money and does not care about good service. Was forced to paye for food I didn't order. Then was insulted verbally by the owner/ manager when I tried to complain about being forced to paye for that food . Mistakes happen sure im fine with that but don't force customers to paye for your mistakes. Never been so insulted by restaurant staff. I'm only happy my special needs son was unable to understand her scream at me how sorry she was I was unhappy with my life after I was told to leave and trying to drive away and not come back after I asked not to be charged for the wrong order. Not unhappy with my life btw just not happy being taken advantage of. I don't have the spare 7 dollars to throw away on food I didn't order.

Danielle A.

Yelp
First time here. Will NEVER go back. Ordered regular burger. It was raw. Fried pickles were burnt. Hubby ordered triple burger 2 of the patties were fine. 3rd one raw. Never again. Had to pick 1 star. Also waited 40 min. This is the first review i have ever done. Too bad not to share.

Yelp
This is definitely a hidden gem in Harrison Township! We went there today for this first time and it was tasty! We got the Big Ed's burger and seasoned fries. It was sooooo delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
I used to ride my bike up here with my family when I was little. I haven't been in a few summers so I was so happy to go recently. Best burgers and milkshakes! Specifically the big Ed burger and a Boston cooler (vernor's and vanilla ice cream). I always leave here happy no matter what

Jim R.

Yelp
Fantastic food cooks everything in the pan right in front of you lotta bang for the buck great fillet great chicken zip Hawaiian fries are to die for the best

Yelp
2.0 stars for the food. 5.0 for the ambience. Eddies clearly exists on nostalgia. I recently dropped close to $50 here feeding three people. We tried many offerings on the menu. My impressions of the food. OK at best. It's a drive-in, so I didn't expect Chez Paree' however for the prices charged, the food quality could be better. The Big Eddie burger with all the toppings will set you back around $7-$8 each. It's a big tasteless burger. The meat cheap quality. The fries were nothing special. The onion rings were very good. The greatest disappointment? The desserts. All uninspired and cheaply made. The Boston Cooler was served lukewarm and melty. Eddie's version of the DQ Blizzard, the Snowstorm, was overpriced and sloppily mixed. The large butterscotch sundae ($5) had sauce straight from the Smuckers jar with tasteless soft serve ice cream. I could have made the same at home for a fraction of the price. I have heard other people say the banana splits are good here, however, I'm not a banana split fan (I think it's the most overrated of all desserts, it usually ends up being a pile of melted goo and syrup). Come here for the experience. It's worth it for the 50's music blasting, showing off your hot-rod, and the cute waitresses on roller skates. It can be obnoxiously crowded here in the hot summer months, if so, you may want to consider Burger King as a better and less expensive choice.
google avatar

Bev R.

Yelp
Super Friendly service, good food in a fun atmosphere. We had the Slim Ed which was satisfyingly not too slim and a 1/4 lb burger with curly fries. Good ole fashion music playing overhead. Highly recommend stopping by sometime.

Yelp
They deleted my comment on facebook to hide! Sharyl, the manager which I didn't know at the time) was very unprofessional and has a garbage can for a mouth Even after having our orders taken in a rude unwelcoming manner, over paid (included a tip) for their horrible food and service (waited over 15 min on a small fry and 2 ice-creams) they had the audacity to try to charge me $0.37 for a one once plastic to put my Ranch in, which they then accused me of drinking, all because I handed the cup back. I asked to speak with a manager about the incident. They refused my right to talk to her. They also wouldn't give their names. Sharyl even called me a liar! I was getting ready to leave, when I noticed a very unprofessional waitress took my license plate and called the cops on me! I followed up with the cops and they just think the manager here is nuts and had multiple incidents with her. I am self-employed. I have to be my own manager plus keep my customers happy and coming back. I've never in my life chased away a customer over $0.37.

Renae M.

Yelp
Just awful. If you have an issue don't expect them to care or do anything. I found 2 inches of metal in my ranch cup. The manager did nothing. I wish I could give zero stars!
google avatar

Dick T.

Yelp
Grandkids love Eddies. We eat at the picnic tables and they bring chalk out to let them draw on the paved lot. They love the oldies the cars and the girls on skates.
google avatar

Junebug G.

Yelp
Thus place has been here for ages, rememver going as a little girl! Stopped in to try it with my mom and dog. Service was friendly, food was just ok but a hotdog is a hotdog, was a good snack! Got fries, 2 hotdogs and didnt break the bank. They even offer plain hotdogs for dogs (which mine emjoyed) Very dog friendly! They offer other food as well and ice cream :) worth a stop!

Yelp
I love the idea of a drive-in. Eddie's is trying to make it work. Cool 50s tunes being played, typical drive-in setting. Girls on roller skates.....sometimes not so successful but fun to watch. Our server was a nice young lady who was kind and helpful. Our food took forever to arrive despite there only being a few cars to wait on. Good only knows what took so long since it was only a burger, hot dog, onion rings and some Root Beers. The hot dog - dreadful. Dried up meat dog, stale bun - just horrible. The hamburger? The hugest mess I've ever seen. It was overcooked to the max, but it was nice and juicy with 10 tons of Ernie sauce on it - which is horrible, but the way. The whole thing was a mess and tasted terrible. We won't be back. Too bad. Some decent food would make the experience more worthy. Hot Dogs and Burgers just can be that difficult.
google avatar

Rj P.

Yelp
Great place to go on a nice day. The views are amazing, great oldies playing over the loudspeaker, and carhops on skates!! The food is a step up from Sonic with amazing malts and chili cheese fries. Def recommend this one!!
google avatar

Kent M.

Yelp
If you're in the area and looking for a drive-in restaurant, this is a good place to cruise in. There are usually a couple classic cars in their parking lot in the evening hours. The food is ok, nothing fancy to write home about. Mostly burgers and hot dogs, and shakes, on the menu. It's a drive-in, not a drive thru. The best drive-in restaurant with girls on skates. Only open till 9pm :-(
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Good selection not the greatest food. Owner was very nice- order was correct for take out. Wait time was long - owner said 15 minutes to prepare food - took 35 minutes for a couple burgers, fries, onion rings, and a corndog.
google avatar

Travis B.

Yelp
Great old school drive-in burger joint. Usually great service even if it's slow at times. Half the menu is icecream! Classic cars on the weekends and oldies on the radio. I really enjoy the vibe.
google avatar

Rick K.

Yelp
Been eating here nearly 30 years. Tonight I took the Grandkids and it was very disappointing. Service bad, waitress forgot part of order. Told her no problem just get it. She never came back. Flagged another waitress after 15 mins and told her the story. She apologized and said she would get me the Big Ed Burger the first girl forgot. Another 10 minutes go by and she comes out with the burger. I pay her and finally start my meal. Another surprise was waiting though. The hamburger was the size of a kids meal burger and nearly 2 inches smaller than the bun. I ate it and left very disappointed with this place. Never before have I seen this place fail to leave me completely satisfied. Yes I will give them another try in a couple weeks, but if anything like tonight's service and I will not return.
google avatar

Jaclyn S.

Yelp
I've come here numerous times and it was always good. I went there recently and everything was gross. My daughter wouldn't even eat her corn dog it was a gray color.
google avatar

RJ H.

Yelp
A fun place to go to! Our vintage bike group meets here every Friday and the food is great. Girls on roller skates with food takes us back to the good old days. Don't like what you ordered---tell them and they make it right. We sat in the back last year and watched the Blue Angels put on their air show at Selfridge--right over our heads! Even if no air show the planes from Selfridge fly low overhead off and on all day. My grandkids LOVE it. Thanks, girls. Looking forward to 2015. "The ROMEOS"

Yelp
Thought about giving this five stars but the other reviewers are correct in their assessment that this isn't the best food you've ever had, even for its class. The fact that you can get a chocolate soda here (rare) or the fact that I once had a smelt basket here that was pretty damn good make me want to give it five stars but the truth is if it wasn't a drive-in out by the lake it wouldn't warrant such high praise. You've got to be in the right mood to come here, but if you are and the weather's nice, you should really enjoy yourself.

Bob's B.

Yelp
This place is TRASH. Everything that I ordered that was deep fried was undercooked. soggy shit. and the cheese sticks were like something you'd get in elementary school, u can buy better mozzarella sticks in a box from Walmart. Very high prices for what? maybe train ur cooks better at making food so you can make customers happy with the food and coming back.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Ya come to Eddies for the experience. The food is not horrible, but far from fine cuisine. The girls on roller skates, the classic cars, the whole lost drive-in and eat experience is pretty cool. Plus it brings people from all over Metro Detroit to my humble small town of Harrison Township. I have come to Eddies for many years, and if it was horrible, this place would have perished a long time ago. I will fill you in on what I ate last Saturday. My meal was the chicken pita. The chicken was nicely grilled, a real piece of chicken breast and must have been marinated because it was quite tasty. The pita bread was soft, and a little crisp on the outside just like I like. Instead of fries, I actually like the Pepper Jack Cheese Sticks. They are different than your average cheese sticks, not only because of the cheese, but because of the shape and texture. They are rectangular in shape and only about 2 inches long, bite size. I do quite like them. Root Beer to drink. All served by a friendly waitress. We saw a few classic cars too, on a Saturday afternoon. Come here in the evenings on the weekends and you will feel like you are at a car show. Keep it up, Eddies! An East Side mainstay :)
