Best Restaurants to Try on the Drive Between Los Angeles and Las Vegas | Eater LA

"Who knew an Instagram-friendly destination would ever open along the I-15? Eddie World actually has a chef and numerous cooks who put together crowd-pleasing dishes from thin-crust pizza and sandwiches to sushi and handmade ice cream. Most of the food will be much better than the average gas station fare, and the visual appeal of a mini food hall in the middle of the desert makes it a fun, colorful pitstop for the family. Try one of the thin-crust pizzas or more substantial bacon-packed burgers and then finish with a fresh scoop of ice cream before getting back on the road." - Matthew Kang

This is a fun place to stop by. The inside is bigger than it looks and they sell all sorts of candies and chocolates. You can even order food and the cafeteria is pretty big too. There's slush and ice cream and nuts as well. The Eddie World ice cream sculpture is fun to look at.

Google
This is my second visit to the location. We got there an hour before closing so almost everything was closed. The lights were down so not quite the full experience from the first time they have everything you could possibly need if everything was open, we could’ve gotten some ice cream some jerky And other little treats we were able to get some sodas and a couple of snacks for the road everything is extremely overpriced and the people working there did not have great customer service seven out of 10. Recommend a cool experience in the bathrooms or semi clean.

Google
EddieWorld is a must-stop on the 15. We pulled in for gas and were impressed by the spacious, clean fueling area. Inside, it’s like a candy lover’s paradise with aisles upon aisles of treats organized by type: gummies, chocolates, salty snacks, and more. The selection is overwhelming in the best way. We grabbed chicken fingers and a cheeseburger from their kitchen, and both were surprisingly delicious. Definitely better than your typical road trip meal. We didn’t try the ice cream or other food this time, but it looked great. The place is fun and clean with a quirky vibe that makes it feel more like a roadside attraction than just a gas station. Prices are definitely on the higher side, so be prepared to spend a little extra. Still, it’s worth it for the experience. Great pit stop between LA and Vegas, especially if you’re traveling with kids or want to treat yourself.

Google
This place is insane! Haha I've passed by it many times and finally decided to stop. We spent over an hour here lol. The have so much fun/unique treats from all over the world and offer tons of fresh/homemade food, ice cream, caramel popcorn, etc

Google
The gas pumps are open 24 hours. The store is open from 6 AM to 12 AM. Clean restrooms. Friendly and personable staff are busy serving visitors or maintaining the store. Parking is plentiful and well lit. This is a great place to stop while traveling Interstate 15, 2 hours south of Las Vegas. Plenty of gas pumps, easy to navigate for large vehicles. There are also plenty of Tesla chargers available. There are small food vendors that serve hot food. A small dining room is available if needed. The hours may vary. There are cold drinks available along with snacks. The amount and variety of candy available is amazing.

Google
So many snack options. The one thing I wish they did were sell smaller bags of the candy. They also have clean restrooms. Nice place to walk around after driving for a while.

Google
This place was insane. Sensory overload. I would compare it to bucees however there were not as many hot meals available. Also this place was expensive for snacks or drinks. One soda or tea from the refrigerator section was between $3 and $5. The snacks were $8 and upwards of $15 depending on weight. Nothing appeared to be locally made snacks just repackaged and branded with their logo. Would I skip this place in the future, yes. I would stop in a smaller mom and pop store for snacks.

Google
This Eddie World is just off the I-15, Exit 194 in Yermo. This place is a one-stop travel center for all your needs while traveling the highways of America. Here you will find several charging stations including a Tesla Supercharger, and numerous covered gas pump stations. Inside, there is a large convenience store, Jed’s Jerky, Fresh Gourmet Foods (their words not ours), ice cream shop, drink station, dining area, Peet’s Coffee and restrooms. And yes, plenty of those strange tourist trap souvenir trinkets. The prices for everything here from gas to food are what you would expect to pay in places like this, so get out the old credit card, you will need it.

Yelp
Review specifically for Jed's Jerky located inside. The absolute best jerky I've ever had in my life, could not reccomend it more. On top of it, their staff member Zack was awesome. Have great recommendations and super friendly! Will always be sure to stop on my way to and from Vegas!

Yelp
Feel free to read my previous review as all that information is still valid. Here's a summary: Eddieworld is a great stop halfway to Vegas from Los Angeles. **They have clean bathrooms that are 5 stars if that's what you are looking for. You should stop here if that's what you need. **Most of the convenience store and hot foods are pretty good. Not cheap, but it's not bad. We got a pound of mango belts for $11 and they have a tasty mix of sweetness and tang. **Gas prices aren't bad here. It's about $4.60 here. Spent $3.50 in Vegas and about $4.35 in LA. If you need an emergency refill, this will do; however, I highly recommend refilling in Nevada if you can. ***Reason for my ratings downgrade is mainly to warn you guys about Jedadiah's Jerky, located in house, which sells jerky for $75-$100/lb. There's no cost information here until you ring up your order. Don't get suckered into that. Will upgrade my rating if/when this changes. This is a one-star concern; otherwise, Eddieworld and their bathrooms would be four stars for me.

Yelp
This is a great pitstop for all! From candies, to snacks, to drinks, toys, beef jerky, popcorn, coffee, food, and gifts! I always get the veggie chips! The gas prices are fair. They don't price gouge you. The only complaint I have are.... 1. The stuffed animal pricing is high, let alone the drinks. 2. Wish they sold the goodies in smaller bags or at least have two sizes available. The bulk goodies are priced by weight, so I don't want to pay $10-20 for such a big bag. I'm sure it's more for sharing, but we all don't need all that sugar and stuff.
google avatar

Noriko C.

Yelp
What a fun place to pull over between Las Vegas and Southern California. Took a quick potty break and got some ice cream and wow....to many selecting for candy, jerky, crackers, nuts, etc to select from! They had old school candy and new school, so finalizing my order proved to be difficult. I knew this wasn't a hop-jump-and a -skip return back so had to select wisely. Check out I realized I bought too much! Oh well I will be good for awhile. Check out line can get long at times, but be patient. It goes pretty quickly. Until next time Eddie!
google avatar

Charro T.

Yelp
Underwhelming. Yes, it's bigger than normal but it's just a bunch of knick knack tourist things.
google avatar

Yelp
Eddie World is a fun stop on the way to Vegas! Bathrooms are usually decently clean and they have a wide array of drinks, snacks, and toys to choose from. On my last trip my boyfriend tried to surprise me by buying my first labubu. The code on the box even went to the Pop Mart site. Anyways I'm sitting in the parking lot and opened the box and was staring at it for a sec and then was like "hey, I don't think this is real. It says Caca-Cala can on the can." We were both hysterically laughing and went in to show the cashier. He was cracking up too, but was fully ready to return it, but we wanted to keep it since it was still cute and we got such a good laugh out of it. Just know their Labubus are actually Lafufus so you aren't disappointed.
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
This is one of the BEST REST STOPS in between Las Vegas & California If you have kids you will probably spend tooo much here buying goodies and souvenirs They have coffee, pizza, sandwiches, foood, candy, toys, and so much more
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
This is a nice little oasis on the way to, or returning from, Vegas! There are about 35-45 Tesla chargers in the parking lot and a large gas station if you need to charge or fuel up! Restaurants, if you want to call them that include: Peet's coffee Fresh gourmet food Caramel corn spot Homemade ice cream There's a tremendous selection of toys, candy, treats and snacks as well as drinks and other refreshments. The parking lot is rather large but I've been here when even that is not enough for the crowds. Still if you're passing by, Eddie's World is a worthwhile place to drop into!
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
If you have kids and are on your way to Vegas or Cali, this is definitely a must stop. They have a massive selection of different candies, toys, lunchboxes, frozen yogurt, and even lottery tickets.
google avatar

Weelowie K.

Yelp
Its a big place with so much options to chose from. You really have to stop and see. The restrooms are clean and big.
google avatar

Vinla K.

Yelp
We stopped by here because we needed to charge our Tesla. We walked inside and welcomed with massive selection of sweets, snacks, plushies, and souvenirs. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. There's also Peets Coffee inside. We'll be back.
google avatar

Deanne R.

Yelp
Super busy and Plenty of cashiers open.... Heads up premium 7.99 a gal for gas. But when u need you need it lol. Restrooms are pretty clean and fully stocked. No complaints. Byeeee!
google avatar

Gohar K.

Yelp
What a great stop on our way to Las Vegas from LA. Our only stop to use the restrooms and get some snacks and coffee. You can pretty much find everything here from food items, snacks, coffee, ice cream, dessert, jerky, drinks and much much more. Lots of just items and cute souvenirs. The restrooms were clean. Lots of parking. It's a great stop. Don't miss it.
google avatar

Gail U.

Yelp
An oasis in the desert with temperatures climbing. Delight for adults and kiddies. Why? Gas pumps Restrooms Cute stuffed animals Candies up the Ying Yang Ice cream Food Cold refreshment Brilliant idea of the owner and business to provide for travellers going to and exiting Vegas.

Yelp
Eddys world is very nice, so much candy and snacks its crazy and a nice ice cream options very tasty. We love making a pit stop at Eddys world. The hot dog was tasty it's worth trying. Fries where yummy. The veggie sandwich was great

Yelp
Always a good stop place , eddieworld offers a ton of variety when it comes to food , snacks , ice cream anything u can think of when it come to road trip items and food , so much candy and toys for the little nice place to take a break and refuel , it's pretty clean inside and service is nice and fast
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
It's a pretty cool place to stop in and check out if you've never been before. There's a wide variety of pre-packaged candies and the clear bags are priced per weight. Depending on the day you go, the lines can get pretty long for food, the restroom and register.
google avatar

J B.

Yelp
A clean comfortable stop. We were early, so some of the food vendor hot food stops were not open. It was reasonably quiet, so we had a chance to look around. A great selection of candies, dried fruits and anything else you may want. Just on the pricy side, so be certain you want something. It adds up.
google avatar

Cecilia N.

Yelp
This is a must visit on our drive back home from Vegas. They literally carry so many different types of candy and sweets. They also have a food shop and ice cream parlor. The ice cream was so tasty. Salty, sour, chocolate, they have it all.
google avatar

Myphuong L.

Yelp
Whoa! Am I dreaming? A real life kid in a candy store! Although pricey and touristy, you'll find your childhood candy to the latest viral Dubai chocolate. Very organized by section and items are sold by the pound pre packaged or in bulk. There are vendors along the perimeter such as a jerky vendor, Peet's coffee and beverage station. Plenty of parking. Great first stop coming from the south. Gas e vehicle chargers.
google avatar

Shik P.

Yelp
Stopped at EddieWorld for some coffee and snacks. We like this stop on the way to LV. As much as EddieWorld gets busy it's always a good place to stop and stock up on snacks and coffee. We also appreciate the Lakers wall and paintings wall by the dining area. So many beautiful art pieces. You can also get some Peet's Coffee and ice cream. The lady employee at the coffee stand was very helpful and nice. The cashier is also very welcoming and nice. This place is the stop over of all stop over when driving from LA to LV. EddieWorld carries a lot of the snacks you'll need to stay up on the drive.
google avatar

Veronica G.

Yelp
I adore Eddie World! This is a fantastic place to stop on the way to Las Vegas. You can buy gas. There are plenty of big, clean restrooms. The entire store is spacious and well decorated. It makes for a fun place to take pictures. They offer snacks galore, both healthy and not so healthy. We loved their black licorice. I tried the beetroot chips and they were delicious. I'm craving more. You can also buy freshly cooked food. We tried the quesadillas and they were really good. They also have a beef jerky bar. But there is a $20 minimum. This store is a hidden gem in the middle of the desert.
google avatar

Patrick F.

Yelp
Stopped by EddieWorld for the first time, as I pass by often, but don't stop The positives are it is very clean in both the store and gas station. Also, the store has a wide selection of snacks, drinks and other quick food options The negatives is I experienced a gas pump that was not functioning properly, and had to move to another one. Also, the gas is very expensive, even by California standards. There are other options along highway 15 that are much more reasonable. Their food items are pricey as well. So, beware the cleanliness and convenience come at higher price. Overall, worth stopping once to see it, but too pricey for the experience and going to more than once.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Nice place to stop on the way to Vegas for sure. Cleanish bathrooms and lots of things to see and buy. Some items can be pricy as you might expect, but all in all and nice little detour. Just hope my Lotto tickets hit! Haha
google avatar

Linda Z.

Yelp
This is a great place to stop half way between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The gas station has a ton of pumps to top off your tank and the store has nice, clean restrooms. Then there's the candy. Sooooo much candy. Is it cheap? No. but it's plentiful, and there's nothing better on a road trip than good snacks. Eddie World has them. Everything from gummy worms to chocolate covered almonds to hard candies to dried fruits and nuts to chocolate covered espresso beans (my personal weakness). There are places to get food inside. The chicken sandwich was good. I am tempted every time to get ice cream, but as a lactose intolerant person, that's a risk I don't want to take with 2.5 hours left to go on the drive.
google avatar

Allen C.

Yelp
Come on a place in the middle of the desert with any type kind of candy your heart desires. I guess if you build it they will come because this place is always bustling every time I come. From LA to Vegas or vice versa or from any other place I'd suggest stopping here. Food, gas, EV charging, drinks and some many other crazy items, they'll have it. One of the favorite parts for me is seeing the Lakers floor from the Great Western Forum. It's pretty awesome.
google avatar

KingAH W.

Yelp
Eddieworld is a cool spot to restroom / refill on snacks drink on your way to Las Vegas. They have aisles and aisles of snacks of both sweet and Salty/ crunchy. As wells as variety of nuts. Prices is reasonable for all the inventory they carry. They also have a "snack bar" style hot food section as well as a beef Jerky section . They also have an outside area of tesla chargers. Visit the old iconic Laker hardwood flooring from the great Western forum . Line does get long for the checkout, but it moves fast as long as the first person pays attention, if not just yell out NEXT ! and keep em moving
google avatar

Yelp
Always a fun stop as we head out of, or return to, Las Vegas. So much to see and buy and eat!!! Everyone is very friendly and polite. My husband loves to buy weird candies which are always a big hit! This time, I tried The STOP Dog.....so good! Stop by this fun place!
google avatar

Carlo B.

Yelp
Looove this place , it's like a dessert oasis with anything you could imagine! I got Doritos nachos and a pizza .. both were bomb but the dorito nachos were next level! They've got a homemade ice cream shop and beef jerky store. What will they think of next!? Crazy bc I went to charge my Tesla and don't even have enough time to fully enjoy Eddie world lol.

Yelp
Situated between Los Angeles and Las Vegas in the city of Yermo, California, EddieWorld is the largest gas station in California and markets itself as having the cleanest, public bathrooms in the desert. Yes, it is a good stop for gas or bathroom break, if needed...which we have taken advantage of in the past. It is also a good place to pick up candy, jerky, and other finger snacks. But what impressed me the most was the quality of the fast casual food served here. It was great...definitely way above gas station quality. We left Las Vegas in the late morning, driving about 2 hours to stop here for lunch. I didn't know if the food was carry-out only, but a little investigation showed there was a decent size dining area towards the back, with a large self -serve soda machine. This immediately let me know we could order whatever we wanted and eat it dine-in. You place and pay for your order in the back, receiving a number which is what you use to pick it up (no table service). They had beer on tap, so made pizza a must. Also tried some of their other dishes, between the three of us. Signature Pizza ($14.99) - they have a dedicated pizza oven, similar to what they use at a place like Blaze Pizza. It also has the same concept of individual pizza like Blaze with as many toppings as you want, or choosing their signature. My wife decided to try the Hawaiian, and it came out within 10 minutes. There is also choices of just cheese ($9.99), one topping ($11.99) or two topping ($12.99) if you don't want the unlimited. For the price, it was a really good pizza...completely unexpected from a gas station. Pacifico Draft 24oz ($9.95) - ice cold and went great with the pizza and sandwich. 3 pc chicken basket($11.99) - Big sign proclaims that the chicken for their chicken fingers is fresh, never frozen...and it certainly showed. My mother-in-law was really impressed with her meal, recognizing that the chicken tenders seemed to have been hand breaded. I shared a small piece, and I liked it better than Raising Cane's. It came with a layer of battered fries. Eddie World Philly Sandwich ($15.95) - this was the clear winner for me: a sandwich much better than a sum of its parts. Not sure if the bread was a Amaroso (I don't think so?), but it went perfectly with the sandwich: solid enough not to disintegrate but soft enough to meld with the filling. Everything in the filling (grilled steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms) was chopped very fine...and there were hard, gristly steak pieces letting you know this was real steak, not Steak-Ums. But what surprised me was the use liberal use of mayo...along with the provolone and nacho sauce, it created a sauce that made every bite scrumptious. It was big enough for me to take home, and it was just as good the next day. There is only one bathroom for each gender here, and it is hidden to the side. But it certainly is big enough to close off one portion for cleaning while the other half was being used. And as described, the bathrooms were indeed as clean as advertised. It's just crazy stupid how good the food was here.
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
Interesting travel stop featuring a store, gas station, and food stations. Claims to be California's largest gas station. There are 26 gas pumps, but the Costco Gas in Fontana has 32 pumps. Acreage? Well Casa de Fruta in Hollister is bigger and has a sit down restaurant with servers. Anyway I think the slogan is just that, you can claim whatever you want on a billboard. Men's room stall: out of toilet paper, had to use a couple seat covers to "clean up". Snacks are the main attraction here, all kinds of them except for peanut butter cups. Bring a credit card cuz the snacks are not cheap. The jerky station prices were about $30 for 4 ounces. Yes, it's cheaper than weed, but on par with wagyu beef. The snacks generally range from $9 to $22 per pound, though the Virginia peanuts appear to be the cheapest item. Impossible burger is cooked on a separate grill from the meat eaters
google avatar

Yelp
This is located in the desert so it's HOT here. Great place to stop, eat, and walk around. Plenty of candy to pick from but the line to purchase was long. We ordered food- I order pizza and it was good (a safe choice). Family purchased two different style sandwiches and they were huge, but they didn't love them. Our son loved the street tacos.
google avatar

Tan P.

Yelp
EddieWorld is a great pit stop for food, drinks, restrooms, gas, and even electric vehicle charging. It's about halfway between LA and LV. The restrooms are clean and food is typically prepared fresh and hot. There are lots of candy and snack options available, too. Definitely try to stop by EddieWorld for a nice rest stop to/from Vegas.
google avatar

Alyssa T.

Yelp
We have driven by here many many times, finally we decided to stop. It was so fun. So many different things to choose from- coffee, ice cream, jerky, food, candy, nuts, and so very much more. The bathrooms were clean and there were many. We definitely spent more than your typical rest stop but we got some yummy snacks and cool things. We will definitely stop here again.
google avatar

Jus S.

Yelp
Found my Childhood whimsy going to Eddie world! Really cool tourist trap . Took the idea of getting gas and made it fun, but also convenient. Has every snack you could ask for as well as toys, stuffed animals, ice cream shop, juice, bar, popcorn, caramel, corn, stand! A really nice place to stop and get gas , stretch your legs s, and just re-gather yourself after hours of driving. Highly recommend stopping at this location during your trip to or through Vegas.
google avatar

Eric P.

Yelp
Came by to have a late night coffee pick me up. About an hour before closing and still busy. Not bad, 16oz for $3.19.
google avatar

Clara C.

Yelp
EddieWorld has become a rest stop for me when I am driving from southern California into Las Vegas. There is a gas station by the parking lot. There are free restrooms inside EddieWorld. You can pick up more snacks and coffee in here. They also sell small toys and plushies. There's pizza and a jerky spot that gives free samples.
google avatar

Nani G.

Yelp
By far one of my favorite stops on a road trip. They offer EV charging, clean restrooms, and of course a ton of snacks. They also offer California lotto tickets and souvenirs for purchase! Love to stop by
google avatar

Leilani M.

Yelp
All the years passing by giant ice cream cone and finally stopped in. I've been missing out! Isles and isles of sweet and savory snacks. Whatever you're craving for the car ride it's probably here! Apart from their packaged snacks they have Peet's coffee, Jedediah beef jerky. Made to order hamburgers, sandwiches, salads. Calico pizzeria, Carmel corn and homemade ice cream. Clean restrooms for that one stop shop. Definitely worth the visit!
google avatar

Joe P.

Yelp
This place is huge! Gas, food, ice cream, jerky and candies. Clean place. Customer service was not bad. I travel a lot and I'll try to make a point to stop here from now on.
google avatar

Abby M.

Yelp
We stopped off at Eddie World to get gas. The prices for gas was reasonable but some of the keypads at the pumps wouldn't work when you try to pay with a credit. I ended up going inside and letting them know. I had to pay inside. My only issue is that with those machines with keypads don't work they should put a sign on them saying to pay inside instead of us inserting our credit card in the pump. The clear button wasn't even working. We didn't use any of the food counters or the restrooms but looked to be clean inside the store.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
This place is a roadside gem! A lot of people probably just drive by here not stopping by, but let me tell you it's definitely worth the stop. First of all, it looks like just some snack shop, but the food is actually pretty good! Obviously it's not a gourmet diner but they have a lot of options for freshly cooked quality food that's much better than a fast food restaurant and most roadside places. They have a nice big seating area with plenty of tables, and the AC is always on point which is great if you're stopping by in the summer. Once you're done eating (or if you're just stopping by for a snack) peruse the aisles and aisles of snacks, home made by Eddie works and not generic factory packaged stuff but things like fried okra snacks (which are really good! Though it sticks to your teeth but I recommend. They add a little sugar to it and it's really tasty). Definitely stop by if you're passing through.
google avatar

Noah B.

Yelp
Clean restrooms but all the gas pumps had issues. The keypad wouldn't work and I ended having to go to 6 different pumps. The staff were friendly but I lost 25 minutes trying to get gas
google avatar

Nancy F.

Yelp
Needed a bit of gas and first pump did not work so had to move to another. I always wanted to visit the store here so I went into the store to get some beef jerky. Bought a package that was 2.5 ounces. Ran to the register as we needed to go. When I checked out it was $16.99!! I was a chump and bought it anyway. Best jerky ever, but can't forget the cost! I will check the price next time! lol.
google avatar

Brandi F.

Yelp
Interesting spot. Definitely worth a stop for the clean bathrooms, plenty of food options and more candy than you know what to do with. My kids would love this place, as would the dentist- Stopped for lunch and a bathroom break and got a pretty decent burger out of the deal. Definitely a good stop along the road and if you need some weird candy, they will likely have it. It isn't cheap, however.
google avatar

Danica L.

Yelp
We always try to make sure we stop here when heading home to Vegas from Cali to pick up a few of our favorites.
google avatar

Veronica J.

Yelp
Stopped for ice cream They have homemade ice creams Had very limited flavors available, Choose Andes mint, green mint with white & milk chocolate chunks pretty good. No soft serve or sundae options. They do have coconut milk vegan options. Dairy Queen is right down the road at the next gas station.
google avatar

Vernon Van R.

Yelp
TBH, most of the people that goes here use the bathroom. It's clean! Plenty of parking and almost halfway between LA and Vegas. Besides that, they sell tons of candies, chocolate, plushies, and food. It can get expensive but it's definitely good!
google avatar

Julianne T.

Yelp
EddieWorld is a cool stop heading to California/ Vegas. There's lots of gas station pumps and Tesla chargers. Bathrooms are clean. There's a lot of different snacks and candy to choose from- dried fruit, chocolate covered nuts and fruit, sour candy, hard candy, chewy/gummies candy, and Mexican candy. There's even other stalls that have Peet's Coffee, pizza, chicken fingers, and popcorn.
