Eden Hill Provisions Review - Queen Anne - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Eden Hill Provisions is the casual outpost of Eden Hill, an upscale tasting-menu spot. The menu here has dishes like fried brussels sprouts with bacon and caramel, chicken wings, and steak frites. Most of the food is solid, but some hits include the crispy cauliflower chilaquiles and a double cheeseburger with gouda and special sauce. However, other things really miss the mark (we’re looking at you, very salty smoked chicken breast and French onion soup that tastes like sweet mulled cider with the consistency of caramelized-onion jam). Ignore most of the menu and come here if you’re in the mood to split a couple of burgers with friends - you’ll leave satisfied." - Aimee Rizzo

A friend of mine suggested going here for July 4 and it was so pretty and so relaxing. I’m so glad I went. The grounds are beautiful. They had food trucks tons of land, pretty ponds. It’s just a very serene beautiful winery. The coolest thing is seeing the perfect grapes on the leaves. I’m not a big wine drinker, but I loved going there and I would go back.

Tasting flight and cheese board were great! Beautiful place. Definitely want to tour next time.

Eden Hill offered an afternoon of live jazz music along with a complimentary glass of wine and a truffle for mothers in honor of Mother's Day. Suggestions for improvements: more shade options with view of the band and more variety in price points of wine.

So this was just a happy discovery. I was at the framers market downtown Dallas and walked up to Eden Hill's wine tasting table. The wines were and got a bottle of the sparkling wine. The host told me about the winery, vineyard and tasting so we went and it was awesome. It was good and there was live music. The staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable will definitely go back.

We have been visiting Eden Hill for the past few years now. It is by far the best Winery in North Texas. The wines are amazing! The Staff is so helpful and friendly. It's the perfect spot to hop in the car on a Saturday, take a scenic drive in the country, and enjoy some great wines with friends or family. Clark & Linda are the owners and are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The wines are very reasonably priced and they also offer custom cheese trays that are delicious. They have frequent events including live music, sip & shop events, holiday events, and much more. If you haven't taken the time to visit this beautiful winery in Celina, TX, then I highly recommend you take the time to do so. You won't be disappointed!

Google
Lovely space and great wine! The staff are so hospitable and wonderful. The wine tasting was such a fantastic experience to check out multiple wine options here!

Google
Amazing experience, well worth a stop even if only for a glass or 2. Don’t miss the cheese and charcuterie board (and the Gouda cheese and pecan dip!!) Bill was very knowledgeable and helpful. A fountain of information and certainly knows his wines! Well done Bill and all the best. Very peaceful setting especially outside watching the hummingbirds glide around. Spectacular!

Google
It’s just wow ... such a beautiful vineyard and very friendly and knowledgeable staff . We went for wine testing & it was awesome experience . Kids friendly. Love the ambiance. We love the mc2 & midnight one . We also bought the bottle. But we stayed very far if possible we will definitely visit again. Recommended.

Yelp
Great wine and service. Thoroughly enjoyed our tasting. Will definitely be visiting again.

Yelp
I love Eden Hill! I've been a wine club member here for several years now and it's such a great deal. The vineyard is small but lovely, the staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The snacks they have are decent for something to munch on while you're wine tasting. The property is almost like a small farm and is very peaceful. They do a lot of events throughout the year like a crawfish event, live music, markets, etc. they also offer a wine tour of their wine making process and facility which is really interesting. The wines they make are good, I definitely have my favorites, and they come out with new ones every year since I've been a member. Highly recommend coming to visit and doing a wine tasting!

Yelp
We visited as part of the North Texas Wine Trail on a Sunday afternoon. The ambiance is upscale farmhouse winery. As you drive up, the property has vineyards in the front and a beautiful large house. There are many lovely areas to sit outdoors around the property. They serve their own Texas wines. Inside the main building is a large tasting room. Reservations for two were not required, which is nice. You would want to reserve a table for a larger party. It was fairly busy, very loud inside and somewhat difficult to converse. Unfortunately the tasting menu is short, especially since we are not sweet wine drinkers. We both tried dry whites and reds but did not find any wine that either of us liked. We had sampled a dry Tempranillo rosé from this winery previously at a wine festival that was out of this world great, but it was not available when we visited. In addition, our server disappeared after our second sample so we had to wait a long time with no wine. Finally someone else was able to help us finish out our flights. Other tables had cheese plates that looked really good. Despite having a disappointing first experience, I am still giving four stars because the venue is gorgeous and all of the other servers looked like they were hustling. We would be willing to come back and try some different wines.

Yelp
Went visit Eden Hill today outing for the family. What a great day to visit. Beautiful Weather. Never knew Texas Was Wine Country. Learned about grapes grown in area. This winery uses only Texas Grapes. Organic grown . Who knew 2 acres of grapes could produce 9 tons of wine. Everyone open nice and pleasant. Informative and eager to help . Chris the wine maker very nice and approachable happened to be there today . Overseeing his delicious wine. Family Owned Business. I would suggest this tour and tasting. Took away one star . Miscommunication regarding price. I paid the 212.00 was for the tour for 4. As I learned you only reserve the spot. Money isn't taken out until you actually visit. imagine my Surprise when they bring a bill . I received a receipt. look closely it says estimate of charges. . That's a good way to lose a buz. So make sure you look it's only reservation. You Owe At End .

Yelp
Another Amazing wine from Eden Hill Winery, The Good Texan. This perfect blend brings Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot to a higher level of quality.

Yelp
One of the best wine experiences I have had. Bill is so knowledgeable and passionate about wine and it shows. He loves his job. The flight was great and all the wine club members that we interacted with were so nice and welcoming. Even got a bottle on their recommendation!

Yelp
This place was so nice!! Wonderful ambience, very peaceful! We were graciously hosted by Katie, she had the best tips n stories on our tasting. Amazing wine! Highly recommend! We had a lovely charcuterie board including goat cheese with almond spread...holy! So good!

Yelp
The wine is great but we did not like the set up. They should have a bar for tastings but yet it was awkward with tables so we stood by a bar to try some to see what we wanted to purchase. They seemed to be busy trying to work on a project while we were there. Katie was nice but we wish she had more personality and wish she had made us feel more welcome. It seemed like we were in the way. The atmosphere seemed more set up for a nursing home visit than a fun winery like it should be.

Yelp
Not absolutely welcoming or friendly when we entered. We didn't have a reservations or are wine club members which seemed to be shunned. Waitress was friendly and prompt. Prices are fair and restrooms are cute and clean. They do have food options, but we only got the chocolate and mixed nut bag.

Yelp
One of the few local vineyards in north Texas. Must visit! The drive is nice and the tasting room is really nice and quiet for a tasting with family or friends. You are even welcome to have a bottle outside under one of their covered seating areas and can bring your own picnic. The Divine Red is my favorite!
google avatar

Sherelle L.

Yelp
My first winery experience in TX! I did come in the middle of winter, so we were limited to the small tasting room inside. The staff was friendly, and we were able to try many of their wines that they make right there!

Yelp
Getting there - be careful that your navigation doesn't tell you to turn off of 289 at the high school (134). Although it may be a little shorter in distance, as soon as you're off of the main road it turns to poorly maintained gravel and is nasty driving for several long miles. Turn off at 106 and you'll be very close to the winery. A very pleasant tasting room with a variety of seating. It's nice that they prefer reservations, so you're not battling a crowd on a busy weekend afternoon. Also some outdoor seating, if the weather is nice. Above average for Texas wines. They tend toward well made, balanced flavors, and I appreciate their focus on just Texas grapes, mostly from the high plains. Plenty of folks working the tasting room, but still pretty disorganized. Took a good bit longer than expected due to waiting for someone to come by with the next wine to try. Charcuterie plate is a simple selection of cheeses, crackers, and a few slices of salami; decent nibbles to go with the wine. The fig and goat cheese dip was excellent.

Yelp
This is definitely one of my favorite wineries in the Dallas area and it's a plus that it's only about 20 minutes away from me. The tasting room is super cute inside and has plenty of seating but you may want to reserve a table since it can get busy on the weekends. There are also tables and chairs out on their patio area if you want to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. They often times have live music outside as well and hold various events with opportunities to enjoy their delicious wines and food. All the wines I have tried are really good and the cheeseboards are delicious. The dips that accompany the cheeseboards are amazing! I ended up becoming a wine club member so now I can come enjoy free tastings at any time for me and up to three guests and partake in their seasonal wine selections and events. Love the atmosphere here and all the workers are super friendly and helpful. Definitely put Eden Hill on your list of wineries to check out if you haven't already been!

Yelp
Cute family owned place. Small but indoor and outdoor seating area. Their 2018 divine white was great, smooth, and refreshing. Make sure to check their hours if planning a visit. They Close at 6pm and open just a few days a week.

Yelp
Walked in and welcomed by the hostess, who was very nice. Sat by a window. Did both tastings to try everything. Waitress was very knowledgeable on the wine types and explained everything well! Ended up getting a bottle. The space they have is great, but very underutilized. Would love to see more activities, more food options, maybe a band playing- at least on the weekends.
google avatar

Anitha K.

Yelp
Cute winery & barn. Pricing seems to vary - it was $15 for 5 tastings which was a bit more expensive than I hoped since the pours were small/very precise lol not used to them being so exact! The dips that came with the cheeseboard were great (try the spinach/bacon & artichoke jalapeño!!) but expected more meat and cheese for $25 (small piece of cheese for the large 4 person plate didn't really make sense??) Overall good outing if you're looking to explore around the area! If you're in north Dallas it's only about a 30 min drive. They have free range chicken eggs but were out when we visited

Yelp
First Texas winery since moving here. Loved the area and their set up! Can't wait to come back with a picnic basket! They do offer food and a good variety of wines. Excited that they are all made from Texas grapes. Easy drive, beautiful scenery... check them out! We may see you there cuz we will be back!

Yelp
Had a wonderful time. I wasn't really a "wine person" before my visit to Eden Hills, but I am now! I chose a tasting with a flight of 5 wines including one white wine. ALL FIVE were DELICIOUS. I was so surprised that I really and truly loved the taste of them all. I joined their club and I purchased several bottles of wine while I was there. Can't wait to go back each season to taste their latest offerings. Highly recommend!!!

Jeni V.

Yelp
Great service and delicious wine! Highly recommend for a quiet afternoon of wine tasting. Set up was a little odd as there were only tables and it got super noisy. It was hard to hear my own private conversation. Would be awesome if they put in a wine bar.

Yelp
I attended a private event on a Saturday evening. I loved the look from the otuside immediately. It is very pretty with the vineyards and the flowers planted in the front of the main bulding, along with a couple of tables and chairs on the front porch. Bathrooms = clean and quaint. There are swinging barn doors to the toilet are for the womens restroom, which I thought was cute. It smelt nice and was clean. The inside of the main building where our event was could use some updating and cleaning up. It was a little cluttered but there were some great pictures on the wall and ample seating. The employees were great! They were eager to help get everything set up, with candles on the tables and there was along with wine (obviously) there was cold water and tea and hot coffee for everone to enjoy. There is plenty of parking on a gravel road leading to the main building.

Yelp
Very nice place and good flight of red and white wines from Texas. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff.

Yelp
This looks lace is amazing. Wines are superb. Service is second to none. Definitely will recommend and we WILL be back.

Yelp
Great wine and great service. Love their reds and the homemade dips. Make sure to make a reservation.

Yelp
Find this hidden gem far north Dallas off of Preston Rd. Great tasting and cheese board at Eden Hills. We had a total of 5 tastings not including a bonus tasting they gave us. My favorites was the Tempranillo and the Rose. They paired well with the 2 spreads we ordered with the cheese and meat board. Jalapeno spread and artichoke and bacon; both were delicious. Thanks Neil and Tara for making our visit so enjoyable. would love to come back to tour the grounds when it dries up from all the rain we had. In speaking of rain ask them about the water they serve. Crisp and clean

Yelp
After a spontaneous and outstanding experience at the Eden Hill tasting room with the winemaker, we knew we had to visit the Vineyard that was so close to home. (1 hour drive from Dallas) What a treat it was: the service, the wine, the dessert, and the vineyard at sunset. *swoon* Very proud to have award winning wine made right here in North TX

Yelp
I do not like or drink wine. My experience with wine has been limited to the large jugs at $7 for sangria or some juice-tasting moscato from Walgreens. Have family visiting DFW for the first time and they came up with the great idea to go check out a winery. Well, what an awesome experience overall at Eden Hill. First of all, the picturesque drive to get there is enough to put a smile on my face - beautiful landscapes with cows, horses, homes, etc. Then, enjoying the $10pp flight which includes 5 wine samples was just perfect for this wine amateur. We also ordered the large cheese platter (and then followed up with a second small platter) which was fantastic - get the goat cheese and fig spread, very addictive. Wound up taking two bottles home of our two favorites along with a promise to return back to Eden Hill to enjoy a bottle out at the gazebo. Thanks for a making a non-wine guy into a believer. Oh, almost forgot....definitely try the chocolate truffles!

Yelp
So everyone one on the reviews said how friendly this place is. But from the moment we walked in that wasn't the case. The person(Brian) that was suppose to be our server was horrible!! He said something so to us but he spoke soo low in a loud room that we asked him to speak up please. He started yellin at us as if we were deaf. From that moment I wanted to walk out & never return. But he left us since he was more worried about the bigger tables (bigger tip) that he threw us to the side. Neil came along & saved the day!! He's the reason why they got 4 stars. Plus the wine was good to. But he was nicer & more attentive. He would answer our questions. Because of him I will be returning & lookin for him to serve us again.

Yelp
Service was incredibly slow. Missed our next tasting throwing off the entire day that was a birthday celebration. Experience doesn't live up to the brand. Wines and cheese board on the other hand were pretty good.

Alfredo Enrique S.

Yelp
Awesome place about 1 hour from Dallas. The wine is great, the place is awesome and the employees are excellent! They took the time to explain every detail about the wines that they make. The cheese board is really good too! I will go back for sure and I may get the membership soon!

Yelp
Cute little winery. We visited as part of our wine tour. The staff was very kind and informative. Traditional decor. The location was clean and the wines were delicious. They provided snack tray with meat, cheeses, and crackers. Would totally come again! I only wish they had an option for wine tastings of Reds, Whites, or sweets. I absolutely do not like sweet wines and there was a moscato on the tasting list. Gave my sweet tasting away. Overall though, great!

Yelp
Go go go. Worth it!!! Great family with passion for the industry. Meat & cheese boards + award winning wine, dont forget the free range chicken eggs!!! And the vines are so big and healthy, great for photos

Yelp
Sunday drive to country and ended up having BEAUTIFUL DAY drive and glass of wine at our favorite spot away from the cement jungle. As always, beautiful people and service and DELICIOUS WINE!!

Yelp
Hubby and I really enjoyed this stop. Wine tasting is $10 and has 5 set wines, but they are flexible. Everyone was very friendly. The cheese plates are worth a try! They were amazing!!!! A little off the beaten path , but worth the trip!

Yelp
This winery is part of the Dallas wine trail. The tasting room is small but cute. There are a bunch of tables. We started with a cheese plate that had cheese, meat, fudge, crackers, grapes and a dip. Very filling. We did the $8 tasting. Each wine was good. The waitress was knowledgeable and very friendly. We ended with a full glass each. We will return for their outside events.

Yelp
This is my happy place. The farm is gorgeous, the staff attentive and helpful, and the wines are simply amazing! One sip and you'll see why the vintner is referred to as the Wine Whisperer.

Yelp
Off the beaten path for sure but not too far. A very quaint and relaxing little vineyard to enjoy on a cool Texas day. There were 4 of us and my 10 month old nephew (there were also 2 other babies that showed up 30 minutes after us) who went at 4:30PM on a Saturday. It wasn't bustling busy, but 70% of the indoor tables were taken (which is the only place you can do the tastings) and 1 of 2 outside. The tasting fee was $8 for 5 pre-selected wines - that's amazing! I only wish they let you pick which 5 since all 4 of us took 1 sip of the sweet one before tossing it, which is such a shame because wasting wine seems like a sin. None of the wines amazed us, but it's rare that Texas wines do. It's more about the quality time and slowness of the day that we enjoy. The reason I'm taking off a star (two seems a bit harsh) is for the service. What should have taken 20-30 minutes took an hour because we weren't assigned 1 server, we had 3 (5 people total were working). There was no flow to their staffing - everyone was going everywhere which caused us to be forgotten about. It took 15 minutes to get a wine glass to our table and then about 10 minutes between each pour (thats a long time for 1 oz). Upon paying they even knew it wasn't their best service since they apologized a few times for it being "very busy". Overall I'd recommend going, but just be patient! :)

Yelp
Super cute. Delicious wine and great service. Only complaint was it closed at 6:00. I highly suggest checking it out.

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely love this place. Great appetizer and wine offerings and beautiful property! One of our favorite wineries in this area!

Yelp
Beautiful winery! Lovely grounds and Tasting Room. Came late but in the true spirit of wine lovers, we were welcomed in for a quick glass. Neil was wonderful and fun. We will come back soon and bring our wine loving friends!

Yelp
The place was packed on Saturday afternoon when my group arrived, so we had rather high expectations, seeing the following the winery had. The facilities are lovely and quiet, up north of McKinney, in Celina. I enjoy the Texas wineries, such as Eden Hill, who use varietals that you won't find at your grocery store, such as Negroamaro, Aglianico, and Chamborcin, all as varietal wines. I think the wines' quality has yet to catch up to the $30-50 sticker price. I respect that small wineries need to charge a premium, but I would have appreciated some uniqueness in style or flavor. The service was quite slow, if understandably, for the day, and I would have appreciated hearing a little more about the wines or the winery that we were served, but the staff had little time to talk, with having such the crowd. All in all, I certainly do recommend making a trip to Eden Hill. I'm afraid I simply was not impressed with anything in particular during my visit.
google avatar

Angie C.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday afternoon and were very impressed. The wine tasting provides a good sampling of all their wines, and whether you like white or red, semi sweet or crisp, you will find something you like. There is a limited menu of edibles that go great with wine, don't pass that up. It's amazing how a certain cheese or cracker or fruit will really change the way you perceive a wine. We noticed how packed the place was - always a good sign when people are willing to drive out to your business. Note: the wines here aren't cheap - I don't think I saw any under $20, but don't let that deter you. Good Texas wine ain't cheap! I look forward to returning with more friends and family.

Yelp
AMAZING! Such a beautiful place with such a welcoming setting as soon as you arrive. I enjoyed all of the selections for the wine tasting and the various pallets they appealed to. I'm maybe not the biggest wine fan out there, but for me every wine tasted simply wonderful and rich in its own way, leaving nothing to be desired. Officially my favorite wines EVER, and I've tried a lot. I highly recommend getting a cheese plate which is incredible when pairing it with the wines! The goat cheese mixture is unreal. You also have to take a few minutes to chat with the owners and get to know their heart behind the winery. Additionally, expect your wine tasting to be a nice and leisurely experience that's at least 1.5-2 hours long, because it's not a place you go to if you're in a hurry. Simply put, this place is just GRAPE!!!

Vinny R.

Yelp
My wife and I visited Eden Hill when they started a few years ago. The wines were very young at that time so we visited again on Saturday. We were very pleased at their growth and the improvement in their Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, and Garden Red. We purchased 2 bottles of each. Our reason for the removal of one star was because we bought 6 bottles and a cheese platter and they still charged us for the tastings, $15 each for $30. It's been our experience visiting many wineries that If you purchase enough product they usually comp the tasting.
google avatar

Loendry C.

Yelp
We came here with a group of four and had reservations. We had the cheese plate which was fantastic. The tasting flight was well balanced. Wine was great. Service was amazing.

Lisa P.

Yelp
Thoroughly delightful experience. Go when you have time to slow down and relax. Fantastic people. Great environment.

Yelp
Great set up, decent wines. Nothing we felt we had to stock up on but a very pleasant outing. Service and atmosphere very good.

Yelp
Great time. Good prices. The people here are incredibly nice and I will be coming back!

Yelp
Amazing. This winery is absolutely delicious. The owners Clark & Linda were very attentive and took the time to explain all the wines. This is my first time at this winery and look forward to returning again. I highly recommend you visit this beautiful winery.
