"Marysol Foucault’s Gatineau nook draws the Ottawa masses over to Gatineau for homey baked goods, creative sandwiches (on weekdays) and hearty brunches including a much-loved Dutch baby on weekends. Brunch in particular pushes the limits of the cheap eats category, but it’s worth it." - Tim Forster

I had wonderful brunch here. All menus look interesting, and all I ordered taste good! Parking was easy. Had to wait for about half an hour to be seated (only 6 tables) but worth waiting! Even the scones they have for takeouts are delicious.

Ok WOW! This was our last food stop for a weekend getaway to Ottawa. We didn’t realize a lot of places required reservations but we got lucky finding this place and getting a table relatively quickly. The restaurant is small, the menu is small but the food was AMAZING! Hands down one of the best brunches we have had. We ordered the Dutch Baby and the Peameal. The flavour combo on each was perfection.

An excellent brunch place with each dish we had being superb. A must go to for any brunch lover in the area. Order: Chick Pea ($20.00 each) x1 - Nice and hearty stew - The bread paired very well and was excellent for dipping - Perfectly poached eggs - It would have been good to have a bit of citrus to lift the dish - The spinach wasn't necessary Pork Schnitzel ($23.00 each) x1 - Great tasting pork - The potatoes were amazing - The roasted tomatoes were great - The polenta added so much flavor - The poached eggs were perfectly done - Lovely taste of dill throughout - The zucchini wasn't necessary Cappuccino ($4.25 each) x1 - Great tasting coffee - Tasted a little acidic but mellowed out by the milk - Beautiful latte art Atmosphere and Site: - Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available - They have a bakery connected to the main restaurant Service: - The food came out fairly quickly - The staff were able to speak both English and French

Service 100% very friendly welcome. The restaurant is decorated very simply. (Bathrooms were a bit cold) food was literally unreal, we got there late so they only had the vegetarian sandwich but it did not disappoint. We were quiet during the whole meal, just enjoying every fricken bite. Wow. Code was delicious, salad was innovative and tasty. Love love love this place. Will probably be my new regular spot.

Great service. The baked goods were tasty, and the hot drinks were OK. We had the Rhum ham and the classic dutch baby. The dutch baby pastry was good, but definitely did not enjoy how the meat was cooked, nor the apple sauce it was soaked in. The ham was nothing special, but the scalloped potatoes that came with it were well done!

An eclectic gourmet selection of original dishes prepared with fresh and local ingredients. I love to go there for brunch since it’s a nice place, super cozy, you eat good and enjoy a good service. If you plan to go, please be patient as there are only 6 tables available, so you might need to wait. It is worthy, the waiting time!!

Cute little cafe with some pretty unique dishes. I ordered an iced London and the Mexican breakfast. The London fog was delicious. It wasn’t too sweet and had a lot of flavour to it. The Mexican breakfast was also good, but didn’t leave me wanting more. Also it was the only option I had because the menu did not have any other gluten free options which was unfortunate. Overall a good experience but I suggest adding more gluten free options and maybe expanding the space because it was very tight.

Edgar is a little hidden gem in Hull that never disappoints. Great creative spin on traditional meals. Generous portions of fresh locally sourced ingredients. Overall exciting, colorful and flavorful food.
