I leave here wishing two things:
1. That it wasn't a 90° day. Great beach weather, but hot fresh tacos not so much! I was hungry, okay? The specifics are unimportant.
2. That the Pico de Gallo was a little less confusing. Well, to be honest, it's not so much confusing as just made in a food processor. Same ingredients going the same place, more a texture thing than anything.
The tacos themselves were done simply, but done well. Onion, cilantro, protein. Everything is well balanced and meat is not skimped on. The Chorizo had a pleasant bite/kick to it. The Al Pastor wasn't groundbreaking, but was cooked well, and the bits of pineapple were appreciated.
While there was what I assume to be a Jalapeño-based hot sauce on the side, it wasn't enough to make the tacos next-level. It added a little moisture and acid, but what was really needed was fat. A little crema would've worked wonders.
Finally, limited seating is available outdoors only, and it seems much more grab and go than anything else. Where it comes to the service, I found it solid and appropriately fast. Also, while I got the flour I would've requested - would have been nice if I was asked.
Thus, while I don't see myself giving out awards for best taco, and I do not see it as a destination, it is a fine option for a quick grab and go lunch.
