"Edie’s All Day Cafe & Bar is expanding to a second location in River North, inside the former 3 Greens Market. Inspired by Australian cafe culture, it offers a simple operation without a late-night bar, allowing customers to spend time throughout the day. The venue evolved from Limitless Coffee and Tea, with a focus on colorful lattes, salads, wraps, and wine in a bright, airy space. The new location, led by chef Chris Dunstatter, will expand the menu focusing on charcuterie and wine for dinner. The cafe plans to provide an upscale all-day spot suitable for socializing earlier in the day." - aimee.levitt

An all-around reliable brunch spot with unique latte options, a consistently delicious food menu, super cute interior decor, and good service. The prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, but about standard for brunch in the River North area. I got the Vanilla Bee Latte, which was really delicious and not overly sweet. The Double Salted Caramel Latte was also good, but a little too sweet for my liking. For food, I ordered the Lox Toast from the breakfast menu, which tasted very fresh and delicious— they didn’t skimp on the lox and the bread itself was also quite good. The portion was pretty small though, especially for $18. I also tried some of the Diavolo Flatbread, and thought it was alright, nothing too special. I tried some of the Tuna-riffic Melt too, and thought that was really fantastic— very flavorful and refreshing. All in all, the vibes and ambience were impeccable. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends, to take your friends / family from out of town, or to just chill by yourself and get some work done. — Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5 Food: 4.7/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Overall Value: 4.3/5

Edie's cafe is one of my favorites in Chicago . This is their newer location. I loved the interiors and vibe of this place, so warm and welcoming. I could spend a whole day studying or working here while drinking delicious coffee and enjoying yummy eats. We tried the new nutcracker latte, charcoal latte, Edie's parfait, banana fosters French toast, and avocado toast. When at Edie's you must try their innovative lattes. They are not only pretty to look at but absolutely delicious, silky smooth, and comforting. Edie's parfait is another one of my favorites healthy , wholesome and yummy. Both the French toast and avocado toast are a 10/10. The food , vibe, and service is fabulous. Check it out and enjoy. Parking garage and street parking available .

Love the versatility and warmness of this place. During the week you could come in, grab a coffee, and get to work. The weekend transitions nicely to a more brunch and chill vibe. The ambience featured lots of natural light and greenery. All the food and drinks were top notch. Highly recommend the charcoal latte (never knew charcoal tasted so good!) Will be coming back soon to try the dinner menu.

Google
Great experience overall, the servers are polite and accommodating. I really like the food and coffee, though a bit pricey. It’s definitely a great spot to go to for a nice Saturday brunch with a friend. Instagram worthy for sure. The only negative is that the place is pretty small so if you come in with a child in a stroller, you’ll have to sit in the couch area, which is really comfy but it’s hard to eat because the tables are small. I do recommend this place and will come back.

First time eating here and the food was fabulous!! Our waitress, Kenzie was so friendly and helpful in helping us decide in menu choices. The whole menu looks amazing! We had the breakfast burrito (delish!), breakfast burger (spot on amazing!), truffle fries (yum-O), turmeric ginger chai (fab!) and the healthy smoothie (refreshing!). Food was fresh and everything tasted amazing! Those cooks are awesome!! 😊 Will def be back!!

Came in here to spend a full workday in this cafe and had a wonderful experience! The menu is pretty good, had everything from avocado toast, vanilla bee latte, to a coconut pineapple macaron, truffle fries and passion fruit Bellinis! The truffle fries here were the best I’ve ever had. Everything was great!

Google
Great place for brunch and coffee, their lattes are super cute and tasty. The staff is very attentive and happy to help. The menu has a lot of options and fits most dietary restrictions. Make sure to make reservations, is always a little bit packed so not great to WFH.

Google
PERFECT!! That’s all that can describe this amazing experience my bf and I had at Edie’s. The food was amazing and truffle fries were great. As first timers to Chicago this place came as a recommendation and we’re so glad we tried it. Thanks again 🙌🏽 P.s. Kenzie was great and made this special foam for my vanilla latte hope she see this 👌🥰🤩

Yelp
I like this place! My wife and I visited here for the first time Sunday morning December 10th. It is a great location in River North, right across from the East Bank Club. When we walked in the door our first impression was a good one. The space has a very soothing vibe, with lots of plants. My wife had the Bananas Foster French Toast and I had the Overnight Oats. Both were very good. Service was great and prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
The atmosphere is so cute. There are plenty of places to sit. My friend and I went in for take out coffee. We each got iced oat milk lattes with vanilla. In total it was $18 not including tip which is a little ridiculous. The barista who took our order was friendly and the coffee got out to us quickly, but it is not worth the price.

Yelp
I haven't been to Europe this year but I miss the European coffee scene with all my heart, sitting, lounging all day, laughing, drinking coffee, eating and just relaxing. Edie's all day cafe filled not just my cup of coffee with so much happiness and joy but my heart as well. I felt like I was in Europe as soon as I stepped inside. It was a total spontaneous and unplanned coffee date with my husband so I had 0 time to get dressed up as I felt like the place deserved for me to look a little better than I did (had sweatpants and hair in a bun) but that just means I'll be coming back again! I love that there is parking in front of the cafe- granted you have to pay for it but still nice that you don't have to make circles. Public transportation is also super close by and the Chicago river is within walking distance as well so it's a great opportunity for a day trip. When I walked in, I was absolutely mesmerized by the plants and homey feel. There was a sign that said please wait to be seated so while I waited, I took a look at the menu. They have a breakfast menu that they offer until 3 pm which I really appreciated because they had some really yummy items on the menu. I was seated almost immediately by the sweetest hostess/waitress. My husband was parking the car so I went ahead and ordered us a burger to split and I got the nutcracker latte. This has to be the best burger I've ever had in a cafe- wow! Not only was it super juicy, the flavor was absolutely delicious!! I didn't order more because I had a brownie before I left the house but they had so much delicious dessert to choose from and I can't wait to go back and try them all! Overall, loved the atmosphere, the aesthetics and the service. I would highly recommend coming here for a date, if you need a WFH coffee spot or if you just need a moment to yourself to relax and enjoy the scenery. The possibilities are endless! Check it out for yourself!

Yelp
Got a chance to try this new River North gem located near the East Bank Club last week prior to its grand opening. The owner is a very friendly guy and so is his staff. The place itself has a bit of a European feel and vibe to it. Lots of good and healthy dishes on their menu, but I went with the Diavolo flatbread. This delicious pizza includes chorizo, prosciutto, soppressata, hot honey drizzle and arrabiata sauce...very good. I ravaged it. Cocktail menu is pretty decent and since I am a mezcal addict, I opted for the LaRosa. The drink includes mezcal, tequila, lime juice, cucumber juice, lime cordial and raspberry simple. Very refreshing cocktail and I did the damn thang on 2 of em. Nice spot that closes around 8-9pm. Good for lunch, dinner, dates, solo mission and friends.

Yelp
We just went here for restaurant week brunch and it was fun but it was not as good as I wished it would be. The good: The ambiance is really nice and perfect for a winter day. The latte art was really cool and our server was pretty friendly. The staff found us a table out of the way for our baby which was nice. The not good: The lattes were pretty but didn't taste great. And the worst thing that happened was that my husbands dessert came out with a long brown hair on top of it. We told them and they apologized and replaced it but they didn't offer to comp it or anything which most places would. I know those things happen occasionally but it just really kills your appetite and is pretty unpleasant. We had a good time but I'm not sure I'd go back.

Yelp
I had their avocado toast!! Literally the best in Chicago it's actually seasoned! The bread they use is like a chewy multi grain and pairs perfectly! Last there's a poached egg on top with greens, delicious!

Yelp
A beautiful experience and decor. Staff are very nice and friendly. The inside is very amazing. Couches for comfortable seating and drinking your coffee and plenty of outdoor seating also. Dog bowls for pets who can sit outside. The food is healthy and good. Just the prices are a bit high for the food quality. But overall the experience and ambience is really lovely for a breakfast or lunch where you can read a book while enjoying the quiet while you eat. Great place!

Yelp
It's vegan and vegetarian friendly as well gluten free too! The cocktails and coffee is amazing. The staff is supper friendly and very kind.

Yelp
Edie's is aiight. They've got two River North cafes now, and this is the newer one. Both places are trendy vibes-- couches, colorful pillows, oonch oonch music, lots of pink & plants. Great for grabbing coffee/lunch with a pal or working, but the food is average and the coffees are insanely expensive. I've paid $9 for a funky latte here before. I loved the business 3 Greens that used to be in this spot, so it's hard for me to give Edie's anything above a 3 in comparison. However, it's a reliable hang spot and a fun excuse for an over-the-top cafe drink, and it's never been a bad experience, per se, so let's go 4 stars!

Yelp
Came for restaurant week and got a brunch menu. Consisted of 3 deviled eggs, standard avocado toast, and blueberry cheesecake. All tasty and generally met expectations. Cheesecake was on the sweeter side but not overwhelming. Also ordered the charcoal latte, which is what I initially came for. A true work of art! Tastewise, nothing special; it was maybe diluted from the milk? Service was standard, but felt a little rushed when they gave me the check when I started eating the second course. Ambiance was nice and cozy. Does get chilly if you sit near the entrance because of the wind. Was able to find a seat easily for a saturday afternoon (esp in snow stormy weather). Might come again with friends another time! P.S. they charge a "hospitality fee" of 3% on the check

Nisha C.

Yelp
This a wonderful spot to grab a unique latter and delicious breakfast. I usually get the rose latte when I am here and it is not to sweet with a pleasant flavor. The interior is styled super cute and trendy and it's a nice place to sit and chat with friends whether it's for a quick work break or a causal meet up. The egg white frittata was great and my friend enjoyed her quiche, will definitely be back!

Yelp
Edie's All Day Café has always been on my my favorite places to go. I was so thrilled when I heard they opened a location in the River North area. A coworker and I decided to pop over for lunch. Wow is all that I can say. The atmosphere was amazing. The service was even better and the food was impeccable. I had the turkey chili which was super flavorful. The only thing I would add would be oyster crackers. My coworker ordered the flatbread, and she stated that it was very tasteful, and the only thing that she would've had it would been to have more sauce, of course we could never go wrong with french fries. The food came out fairly quickly.

Yelp
This place is very cute. Me and my boyfriend came here for brunch and we were pleasantly surprised. The lattes look absolutely beautiful and tasted pretty good too. They had a variety of latte selections. We got the rose and lavender latte. It was aromatic and creamy. I also got a lox bagel (substituted the toast with bagel) and it was delicious, can't go wrong with that. They were generous with the amount of lox. It was a good balance of bagel and lox. The only thing was that it's quite expensive for what it was. I believe it was around $18. Overall, the service was great. the employees were very nice and helpful. The food came out quick. This place is pricier than other cafes in the area but worth checking out once!

Vivian H.

Yelp
Really cute cafe spot. I've been to their original location on wells and I didn't even know this place existed until I happened to walk by it. It is so cute inside! I got a matcha latte at the coffee bar and the gentleman was very knowledgeable. It is a bit on the pricier side (the matcha latte with oat milk was $7.70 something)

Yelp
delicious brunch and lattes great ambience and good service cute restaurant highly recommend

Yelp
Edie's All Day is a wonderful option for really beautiful and tasty coffees as well as satisfying breakfast/lunch options. We had previously visited Edie's on Wells and were excited to try this.location on Hubbard. A bonus was the patio seating with the Chicago Air Show blasting by overhead at no extra charge! We ordered the Charcoal Latte, the Rose Latte, and the Vanilla Bee Latte. The charcoal latte included ristretto of espresso, activated charcoal, vanilla, and steamed whole milk accented with brilliant barista artistry. The rose latte was constructed with a double shot of espresso, house-made raspberry syrup, organic whole milk, topped with edible petals and the floating artistic impression on top. The vanilla bee includes two shots of espresso, honey, vanilla, whole milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon and bee pollen superfood powder. As the menu says, the perfect buzz! We loved the taste of these three lattes and were so impressed with the talent of the barista artist! Our breakfast choices included the Avocado Toast, the Grain Bowl, and the Quiche. The avocado toast was very tasty with multi grain toast , avocado mash, goat cheese, arugula, cherry tomatoes, soft boiled egg, and seasonal fruit w/ honey. The grain bowl was very satisfying made with quinoa, spinach, marinated garbanzo beans, pickled fresno peppers, avocado, crispy onions, purple potato chips, and soft boiled egg. Yay! Finally, the quiche included a pastry puff, spinach, portabella mushroom, custard, cheddar cheese, and caesar salad. The side of caesar salad was very good and was a great accompaniment to the quiche which was also quite tasty. We loved our Edie's on Hubbard visit and look forward to the next time we can enjoy the Edie's vibe.

Yelp
Overall: Would come back for a relaxed hang-out with friends or family. Tastiness: We enjoyed each cocktail and the ginger latte. Presentation: Check out the picture. Service: The system is a little confusing, as we were not sure if someone would pick up our order or if we had to place an order at the counter. Someone eventually came to ask us what we wanted. Also, it's a bit strange to ask older people (in their 60s) for an ID when they order cocktails. The law states that if the person looks older than 40 you can use your best judgment, so encourage employees to skip that process with older people (it's annoying). Ambiance: Nice relaxed space to enjoy a coffee and/or cocktail, maybe a bite too. I have also seen plenty of students working on their laptops. Cleanliness: The tables by the sofas did not look cleaned/wipped in between customers, there were crumbles and a bit of a mess around the tables too. Price: Adequate for what it was.

Alia S.

Yelp
Service: was very disappointing. Not busy and not understaffed and yet nobody was ready to help me get seated and it took 10 minutes to get to a spot I could have gone to myself. The host warned me it would be 'full service' and yet it took another 15 minutes after I was done to pay, so I had to go to the cashier who told me to go back to my seat to pay (??) My server was hanging around the cashier for some reason but at least coincidentally so, was finally able to pay to leave the place. Space: looks very good so it was disappointing they did not try to match that with good service, though it looked not so clean - couches, seats, floors, and surfaces were not cared for in my opinion Food: Having grown up eating authentic french pastries, not sure what I was expecting. The croissants were below-average quality, not fresh, and not well re-heated. I don't really mind because that's the case in most of American cafes. The latte I got was pretty good, the only thing that pushed for my rating not to be 1.

stephanie b.

Yelp
Came here and loved every part of it. The ambience and decor are so spot on. The food was absolutely delish and the service was so friendly.

Ana-Marie P.

Yelp
Great lattes and atmosphere. I tried the charcoal latte and it was delicious. I would definitely come back to try the Nutella latte and the hot honey latte. We had the southwestern chicken salad and the Cobb salad. Both were underwhelming, especially for the price they charge. Their breakfast menu looks good, so that may be the way to go with food next time.

Hilary P.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to eat in chicago! I loved it when it was limitless tea and coffee and it's great as Edie's too! The coffee is amazing and all of the food is delicious. The service is quick and efficient and everyone that works there is kind. I enjoy coming here to sit for a few hours and work too. They play great music and the atmosphere is perfect.

Kendall C.

Yelp
The food was good. It was easy to get a table during the weekday. The service was fast and inside is cute.

Clara S.

Yelp
I love the wells location so I'm so happy they opened up an Edie's closer to me! This is such a great spot to please everyone- we specifically took advantage of happy hour deals for wine during our first visit. It's cute, airy, and great for really anything from working remotely or catching up with friends. Service was nice and quick too.

Megan M.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place, so I was a bit bummed when it didn't blow me away. Considering the prices of things, I had expected it all to be better but it was just average. I got the breakfast sandwich and did not enjoy the bacon at all. It was just too smokey, and that was an agreed consensus among our entire table for those who had the bacon. My eggs were also a bit undercooked. Everyone at my table also wasn't too impressed either with their food, save for the flatbread which was very good. The inside of the restaurant is sooo cute though. Very aesthetic and pleasing.

Robin K.

Yelp
Can't really judge this places food as I didn't have it- but coffee was good (just got a drip coffee)! Ambiance is also super nice. There's a few spots to do some light work/reading if you wanted, otherwise seems more like a social cafe. Service was great. I like that it's open later than other local coffee shops.

Nik M.

Yelp
Loved the lavender chai latte, good service, cute ambience. Make reservations ahead of time though because the space is limited.

Christopher T.

Yelp
We showed up on a Saturday at ~10AM and we're seated immediately. The design is STUNNING and the drink menu I'm particular is impressive. Service was a little shaky, but I'm guessing that's because it is so new. The food is, in general, leaning towards the clean and healthy side rather than heavy and butter-filled (I might have preferred a little more butter!). Definitely a nice place for friends or dates.

Tara D.

Yelp
I normally don't leave reviews, but my visit yesterday was egregious. After walking into the bar, my friend and I were prompted for our ID's by a bar server...this was after someone greeted us at the door and didn't ask for IDs. The server was just rude. We're 40 and 50. So, we were amused to be carded but understand it's the job and the law. What was unacceptable was the server saying..."This is a bar. What do you expect?" Being caught off guard, I asked him to repeat, and he double downed and said, "What bar have you been to where you did not get carded." Keep in mind this is while we were actually pulling out our IDs. Anyway, we left not wanting someone with that type of energy preparing anything for us. Cute place, but won't be back.

J B.

Yelp
So excited to finally have something back in the 3 Greens Spot and a local option for coffee and snacks. The food is tasty! Love the coffee/pastries/snacks etc The service is sssllloowww. I go during the week and they're empty - service is slow - hope they're just working out the kinks. Not a place to go when you're in a hurry.

Sergii B.

Yelp
This place has a nice service, but food quality and the way they serve this food is disgusting. Ingredients are not fresh and rotten. I would never go back here. Stop itching.

Shilpa J.

Yelp
I had brunch here today and it was wonderful. My friend and I split the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast, both were really delightful. I had a cup of the house coffee, which was great, and my friend had the vanilla latte which she loved, and got two of because it was so good! She is living here in Chicago and says that this is going to be on her regular rotation. I'm super glad I found it on yelp and I am excited to recommend it to more people. We also had the cutest server!

Mira P.

Yelp
Walking into Edie's I was super impressed by the ambiance as it had such a cute vibe to it. It was filled with colorful furniture along with greenery to start off your day on a good note. I love the fact that they have TONS of seating for those that want to stay there with their coffee and food. We got the cinnamon toast cold brew which was okaaaaay- not the best. It definitely did not feel like there was enough "cinnamon toast" flavor. I was super excited and hoped it to be sweet and much more cinnamony. Though I wouldn't put this against them- I want to definitely go back and try their other lattes!

Stephanie B.

Yelp
This place is beautiful, but the food and coffee was disappointing. I love coffee and am normally not super picky, especially for my first cup of the day. But their drip coffee was so bitter I couldn't drink it.

Vanessa Z.

Yelp
Beautiful place with great food and awesome coffee and drinks. The cinnamon martini was delicious. They have very unique drinks. And the service was impeccable.

L S.

Yelp
Do not order from them on Uber eats. Paid $17 for avocado toast and received brown/black avocado that didn't even cover the piece of toast. Terrible!

Brooke G.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! I specifically had the breakfast burger and oh my goodness the grated cheese and crispy bacon is all around goodness. The coffee is crafted excellently, I had the Honey Bee. My fiancé had the waffles and they are rich but delicious! Service was fast and our server, Alexis, was so helpful and attentive. All around amazing experience. Not to mention it is so cute inside. (For a picture perfect coffee order the charcoal latte)

Jeffrey A.

Yelp
Had breakfast at Edie's and the food was so amazing had to come back!! The Blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon is an out of this world GREAT combo. Nice decor in a sweet location. Kenzie, the waitress, very friendly, informative and does not hover. Great place! When in Chicago...visit Edie's!

Tarlan H.

Yelp
First and last time eating here. Went for brunch with a friend. Got seated right away which was great. Very wobbly table that we stabilized by stepping on the base. Ordered coffee. Brought mine in a cup with lipstick stains. Pointed it out and got a new cup. No big deal. Server leaves and we flag her down for cream and sugar. She finally brings that along with 1 spoon. So I guess we are supposed to share the spoon? Ok. Place our orders. It's restaurant week and we both order off the special menu. 1st course comes out which was good. 2nd course comes out: I got the egg white frittata---not good. Too much garlic, not enough salt. Less than 5 minutes later, they are trying to give us the dessert course. She realized her error and took it back. We flag her down for more coffee, which she brings in fresh cups. Except one of the cups has something gooey stuck to it. Server takes that back apologetically. Still using the 1 spoon between the 2 of us. Then they immediately drop the dessert course and the check at the same time. I get that Saturdays are busy and maybe they are understaffed but between the dirty dishes, inattention to basic details, below average food, and the rush to get us out, I won't be going back.
