"The reinvention of a French bistro formerly located in Dallas, Edith’s Neighborhood Cafe brings tons of pastries and an all-day menu to the CityLine development at 3551 Wilshire Way in Richardson. Look forward to savory dishes like chicken and sausage cassoulet, confit duck served with waffles, and sweet and savory crepe options, along with high tea service." - Amy McCarthy

This is an elegant restaurant, special events can be celebrated here as for our family event, baptism. Order ala cart or hor'dourves. The soup is too salty. The salad too plain, all greens. For the price the host paid, grape tomatoes, julienned red bell pepper would have accentuated the salad. The baked flounder w white sauce & plenty of fingerling potatoes is filling & good. 2 orders amongst the guest were serve 1 hr late. The host asked it be written off the bill considering there's 12 guest in our table & 1 order was written off.. There's only 1 waiter we saw & another events occurring. I guess, staffing is really bad. Restaurant decor is amazing w decorated cakes on pedestal wall nook, baking pins as accent to separate tables. There's problem with the entrance & side door, its jammed, people in our table keeps opening the door for customers coming in. Hopefully, the owner remedy the issues because its such a beautiful restaurant. There is always room for improvement. Price... $$

We decided to come here (Richardson location) because we drove past it yesterday and since we love the Allen location so much, let’s try this place for an early Father’s Day lunch for my husband today! Ambiance was great. Beautiful and clean. It wasn’t busy because we got here around 2pm. Hostess wasn’t at the stand, but we were greeted after 3 minutes of standing there. No biggie at all; then we sat down not long after. She got us water. 👍 Now we have time to look at menu and prepare to order drinks and meals. Server (J…….) came about 15 minutes later and just asked us if we were going to order anything else other than water. Yes, we order 2 spicy Bloody Marys and two orders of Croque Madame, one with sweet potato fries and the other with tomato basil soup. Spicy Bloody Mary = delicious and well done 👍👍 Croque Madame = fantastic as always. Sweet Potato Fries = felt light and it was really tasty. Tomato basil soup = laughable. It was not warm and tasted watery. If you love tomato basil, then you know what it should taste like. This was awful. We waited and tried to get our server’s attention, but she was busy cleaning glassware, so my husband took the soup up to her and asked “can you they warm the soup up? It’s cold.” Our server came back with the soup, but doesn’t say anything. You’d think the soup would taste better, but it’s slightly warmer and with an extra dollop of possibly heavy cream or thick sour cream on top that wasn’t there before. Husband tried the soup and said, “I don’t know how something can taste worse than it did before.” Not gonna lie, that’s pretty funny. I placed it aside and we both finished our meal. Thought maybe I should tell someone that the soup wasn’t edible, so I did when I asked for a Moscow mule (this was really good btw) and for our check. She just took the soup and said nothing. Nothing! Husband and I have been servers, so we’re used to asking customers if they want something else in place of it. Mind you, we only had a few sips to taste, so it’s not like we finished the soup and then complained. Anyway, maybe things are different now after Covid. Maybe she was having an off day. We all get that sometimes. Who knows. Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and say yes. If you do visit this location, then the Croque madame and sweet potato fries were awesome or just come here for drinks! Bartender seems really friendly with his patrons at the bar. Otherwise, just go to the Allen location. Better service there.

My husband and I were very excited to go to a lovely brunch after a tough week before the STAAR. When we got there, the front door was closed, and we had to go through the back. We waited for a while before someone greeted us. We decided to eat outside since the weather was so lovely. After we were seated, the waitress was not welcoming or let us know of any specials. We had to wait for another while to order. The Sun was very high, so we wanted to have some shade. The waitress told us we could open the umbrella and let us to it. We had to change tables because according to her the one beside us was broken. When we started to open the other umbrella, that one was also broken. We had to figure out on our own how to set it up. When we finally nearly got it standing, the umbrella was shaking and moving everywhere. To save me from getting hit by one of the broken parts of the umbrella, my husband spilled and broke one of the mimosa cups. I ended up full of mimosa on my clothes. The waitress just got us a very nasty-looking and smelling rug for us to clean. Then we had our food, with no silverware to eat it. My husband had to go to her to get some, and he ended getting some from an empty table. The food looked nice, but it had too much sauce. In all, we do not recommend this place.

Edith's is our tried and true brunch spot, has never let me down. We got the ricolette, ricotta pancakes, and chocolate croissant and it was all delicious. Also be sure to check out their bakery for some fantastic danishes and other sweet goodies.

I'll start off by sayin the food is all right but our server/hostess/ opening supervisor maybe?....should probably find a different job. She was forgetful and neglectful. When we were dining, there were no more than 10 people in the restaurant and she still barely had a grip on her service and her work, as if it was too much. I ordered coffee, it came out Luke warm..after having to remind her a second time when she walked by. Normally I’ll have two cups when dining but I barely took a few sips of what I got served. Almost 100% certain it was stale leftover coffee. The ricotta pancakes were not good, they tasted like cornbread. But my beef hash was was pretty good. Now the real reason for this review. When my fiance and I went, we were looking at potential lunch spots for a large party for a post wedding ceremony. We decided we liked the placed enough to make a reservation for 30 people, which our server/hostess/whatever took, Well, the person who took our reservation never communicated to the manager. When I called to confirm today, they had already booked a different large party for the same date and time. Although the manager was apologetic and really not to blame since word didn't get back to her, it doesn't change the fact that I'm out my reservation with less than 2 days from my wedding on easter weekend. Apparently i'm not the first one with this issue either.. All this to say, if you make a reservation dont be surprised if it was never actually reserved.

I love this place, the staff is wonderful, and they opened in the middle of COVID so that’s hard so I like to support them. The outdoor patio area is precious and the pastries are pretty good, but they need a better general menu. The food is ok. I come here for the vibes really. But I definitely would come more if the menu/recipes are updated, and if there were gluten free pasta, bread, and pancakes.

Perfect out door patio on corner of Cityline. Appx 6 mins before I was approached to be seated, even though I was the only person at the hostess stand. Another 10mins before my seated table was cleaned and my drink order was taken. I will note that I only see four employees, so i will assume they are short staffed. I ordered the Raclette, which they did not have the cheese sauce that goes on it.

This place is hands down the best I have found in Richardson. Went there the first time about two weeks ago and it was so great I had to go back this past weekend. The restaurant itself is just about the cutest I've ever seen, the food is good enough to spur a happy dance, drinks are great and reasonably priced, service was beyond amazing (thank you Elliott and Logan!). I cannot recommend this place highly enough, go check it out, you won't regret it!
