Cute space, terrible business. Note to the owner: your consignors are your inventory and you need to treat their things with care. I am an experienced consignor with top boutique brands (...let's just say I am on a first name basis with everyone at Les Amis and similar boutiques online). I followed Editor's strict requirements to bring everything in neatly folded, in paper bags, clean and pressed. I made an appointment to drop off. There was no accounting of what I dropped off (my first clue that this was not a professional operation), but luckily, I had taken photos of everything. About 30% of what I brought in they decided not to take and when I went to pick that up, it was returned to me wadded-up, wrinkled, with pet hair and a hat was damaged beyond repair. I am not a happy camper and asked to cancel my contract on the spot and return all of my unsold items. To their credit, the women in the store handled it immediately (returning 18 items) and had me on my way as quickly as they could. I certainly do appreciate that they took action on the spot, but I won't be back as a shopper or consignor.
