I have been here a few times now. Every time everyone is so kind and sweet. The food is amazing. Working my way around the menu, yet to try something that was bad. They have a outdoor patio that is heated. Perfect place to spend a fall evening. Dixie the manager was just a sweetheart, she came and introduced herself. Her kindness mad a bad time in my life a little better.

Google
Fantastic BBQ food and one of the best I've had in the Nashville area. The brisket was a little tough but the pulled pork, chicken and ribs were fantastic. All the sides we had were also very delicious: potato salad, greens, baked beans, and mac and cheese. I'll absolutely be back and try the sausage. You need to try Edley's

We visit this place as part of our trip. We were looking for smoke BBQ. Just from the get go they made us feel very welcomed and walk us thru the menu options very patiently. - Ribs were ok. Didn’t feel off the bone. Good taste. - Chicken wings are definitely a 5 stars. - Burnt ends are delicious another 5 stars - Fries and potato salad are good. - Mac & Cheese another 5 stars. It give you that comfort food satisfaction. - The Bartender was also very attentive. Did I mention they have Oktoberfest beer on draft. Fantastic. - The highlight of our visit was the Banana pudding. Insanely good. Fresh taste. Home made. I couldnt stop eating it!

Update: I had been in contact with the owners, who very kindly gave me a gift card to give them a 2nd chance. Tonight I went back and ordered pulled pork bbq for everyone. The pork and all the sides were absolutely outstanding as they were the first time. I did ask for a sample of brisket. I was afraid to order it given what it was the fist time. The sample of brisket I had was really good. The flat and point pieces had a good flop, fat was rendered and cartilage was broken down, and had a good smoke flavor. I declare this place redeemed in my book and we’ll be making it a regular go to place. I really hate to write this up, but bad food backed up by bad service after spending $130 and even tipping has to be addressed. I received the brisket shown below on my brisket platter. It was tasteless, chewy, tough, fat wasn’t broken down, and flat out rubbery. My daughter’s brisket sandwich was the same. I brought this to the attention of the manager who proceeded to tell me I didn’t know good brisket. She even asked where I was from, like that had anything to do with being served bad brisket. I have smoked briskets for over 10 yrs, and if it’s over an actual wood fire you would have a smoke ring and the fat and collagen would be completely broken down. I said maybe this was a bad batch or wasn’t cooked right, and she proceeded to keep repeating how it was smoked for 12 hrs. No way this was smoked for 12 hours and the fat didn’t break down. I can list a number of ways a brisket can turn out like this, but I’ve eaten brisket in TX, NC, St. Louis, Kansas City, and countless other places and this was the worst brisket ever. The manager’s poor response didn’t make it any better, she brought me a 2nd plate of the same sorry brisket. I refused both and ended up with the pulled pork which was way better. The customer behind us even came up after and said her brisket was bad too and that it’s not normally like that, and also couldn’t believe how the manager responded. Lucky me I guess. Everything else we ordered was great, but bad brisket and a manager’s bad attitude earned this 1 star review. I posted a photo of what a brisket should look like. That was done over oak, mesquite, and hickory using TX fast competition style, and yes mine is way better than what I was served tonight.

Google
Had a nice visit a few months back went on a date here. The place was full but not in a crowded way. Our food was prepared quickly and presented nicely. I ordered take out recently and still received amazing food and would 100% comeback. Great bbq

I have been eating at Edley’s in Donelson by my work for the past two plus years. Love that they opened this location near my home. Great food, great atmosphere. Brisket tacos and BBQ avacado salad with chicken!!!

Google
This was our first visit to Edley’s Bar-B-Que and it did not disappoint!! If we’re back in the area we will definitely eat there again. My son had the wings, my husband had the fried chicken breasts and I had the chicken tacos. For one of my sides I got the black bean salad, it was amazing!!

Google
Missed the mark on this one. I ordered my food to go, got home this is some of the most dry and overcooked chicken tenders I’ve ever seen. Also the false advertisement of calling it “Nashville hot” chicken tenders and have them bone dry with the exception of some green flavorless drizzle on the tenders is very false advertisement. Come on guys do better. I cannot comment on the remainder of the meal as due to my disappointment I chose to get back out and grab food elsewhere. This is not acceptable for food service and this would not fly had I have been in the restaurant eating I definitely would have returned this bland meal that was premiumly priced.

Yelp
How this place only has 3.7 stars is beyond my comprehension. Their BURNT ENDS are the BEST bbq in this area by a long shot. Yes, I am comparing it to the famous 1st place RIDGEWOOD BARBECUE in Bluff City. It is a close 2nd place to all others in this state. I don't care if it is a chain now or not. On my most recent visit I had the pleasure of indulging in the PORK SANDWICH NASHVILLE STYLE. It is pretty hot, but very tasty. I ate half of the sandwich as I was full! Big portions. Nose running, mouth tingling, it was delicious. After about 5 minutes of no contact with the sandwich, my mouth was back to normal. It is a creeping heat. I paired it with a side of BEAN SALAD. Ambiance 100%. Tip well!

Yelp
So I was coming back home from my Sunday night hockey game and as I passed what I call "Restaurant Row", I realized I had nothing to eat for dinner. Or rather, I didn't feel like cooking. It was 7 o'clock and I just had Edley's the Wednesday prior at their Murphy Road location. I was craving those ribs again, so I made a U-turn and went back. Being so "late" on a Sunday in the suburbs, it wasn't very busy at all. Nobody was at the front register for several minutes until someone peeked around at the to-go area and told someone else. As you may know, I'm a man of habit. I ordered nearly the exact same thing as I always do at Edley's but swapped up the sides. Half Slab St. Louis Ribs platter, Chess Pie, but Grits Casserole and Collard Greens. If there's a vegetable side dish I love more than any other, it's any kind of greens. The fact that they had them (they normally aren't on the menu) was a no brainer. The grits casserole was a last minute swap up but I'm glad I tried them. Now, the thing with going late to any restaurant, especially barbecue joints is that the food tends to "age" as the day goes on. Like, your food isn't as "fresh" as if you came earlier in the day. I knew this going in but I wanted to point this out. The greens were delicious but because I went in late in the day, they were super tangy from the vinegar being cooked down over time. They had a nice heat to them and the leaves were overly cooked, but I enjoyed them nevertheless. The grits casserole had a nice rich cheesey flavor incorporated into them. Just like the collard greens, there was a subtle heat that sat on your tongue after the initial bite. The cornbread was fantastic. Warm, sweet, with also a heat kick to them. Lastly the ribs hit the spot, just like I expected them to. Compared to the other Edley's (where I went during prime time lunch), these were a little dry but they had the same flavor profile. Meaty, fatty, and tangy-sweet with that nice crunch of cartilage at the end. I ended up taking my chess pie home to heat up in the microwave (who eats cold pie)?? As always, it was fantastic. The only reason this wasn't as good as the other review is because I came at the end of the day and the food "sat" over time in their warmers and such. Like I said in my prior review for the Murphy Rd Edley's, Edley's has always been consistent no matter which location I go to and that's why it still gets a 5*.

Yelp
I've visited this location a few times now, and my experiences have been mixed. The first time, I ordered the burnt ends -- they were decent. On my next visit, I tried the brisket, which was fantastic. Most recently, I had the ribs, but they were unfortunately dry and tough. I really do love Edley's overall, but the quality at this location feels a bit inconsistent. That said, the service is always outstanding. The staff truly go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, which I really appreciate. One small gripe: when we ordered drinks from the mobile page, one of them was unavailable, and they weren't able to issue a refund -- only a swap. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Bottom line: Yes, it's still worth going. The food is generally good, the space is clean and comfortable, and the people there are wonderful. I've only visited during weekday lunches, so it's possible dinner service hits a higher note. Almost forgot- they have the BEST banana pudding. 100% a must try!

Yelp
While vacationing, wanted to get some southern BBQ. We got the full rack of ribs with cole slaw and baked beans, and brisket platter with mac & cheese and banana pudding. We liked the ribs, baked beans and BBQ sauce the most. Other side dishes lacked flavor and I probably wouldn't order again. Little disappointing that brisket was not tender and dry. Although there is inconvenience to order food separately from beverages at the bar, service was friendly and good.

Yelp
This BBQ place has already been a staple for me, this is my second time coming to Edley's. This time I got the 3 Brisket Tacos with 2 sides, the grist casserole and green beans. The tacos were so good! I don't love tomatoes, so I took those off, but the brisket is seasoned well with a good sauce and fried jalapeños inside! I ate and enjoyed all 3 of them! The grits casserole is also sooo good, but I also love grits the green beans are cooked in liquid and seasoned well, I couldn't finish them all because I ate everything else! The restaurant is nicely decorated with plenty of seating and an expansive bar with tons of options. Make sure you bring you ID because they card regardless of how old you are!

Yelp
First, the music was great, it lifted my spirits walking up to the front door. When you walk in youre hit with that pleasant smoky smell you expect from a bbq joint. We came in kinda late, so it wasn't crowded. Kai recommended the dry rubbed wings (they were definitely 5 star) and banana pudding (3 star). Our food came pretty fast. I had the pork platter, but my pork was a little cold, so I got that cold greasy bite that turned me off. However the grits casserole was fantastic. I like grits, but this My hubby had the brisket and rib combo. The brisket was tender and flavored nicely. The ribs were a little tough. My grandma made the best banana pudding, so I'm always on the lookout for a good one. The one I had was a little drier than I would have liked, but wasn't bad. I am not a fan of ordering drinks separately from food, but it wasn't bad. I could see where a busy night might make it a little more tricky. I will absolutely come back for the wings and grits!

Yelp
We love coming to this location. Sitting on the patio is always enjoyable. On our next visit we hope to try out the little putting green. My baby isn't quite old enough for the kind of food that they have on their kids menu. But, I get the chicken platter with no sauce on the chicken and for $1 extra they shred it. It makes it so easy for sharing with her. Fries are never listed on the sides but they have them since they have a fry appetizer. My husband never has an issue getting fries as a side. The cornbread is so good and upon request they will bring you honey for it. The Mac and cheese is a $1 extra has a side but when I ordered that I was surprised to see the charge. When I looked back at the chalkboard menu I noticed how faint the $1 was. Not a big deal but just something to be mindful of. Our favorites our the chicken platter, anything with pork, and the smash burger. For sides, we love green beans, banana pudding and collard greens. We are here at least twice a month if not weekly.

Yelp
Love this place and the vibe inside is awesome! Never had a bad meal here and next time I want to sit at the bar to try that all out.

Yelp
This was our first time at an Edley's and it was a disappointing meal all around. It took 25-30 minutes for us to get our food after we ordered at the counter and it was not a busy night overall. The brisket and chicken were cold by the time we got our food, which was extra frustrating after waiting so long. The restaurant itself was also freezing and it was an uncomfortable meal. This is just not a good restaurant and they need to fix several things before it would be a place that we'd return to in the future.

Yelp
A wonderful place for great Gallatin BBQ. Everything is succulent and made fresh. I love their daily specials!!

Yelp
Walked in and walked through a line placed my order and found a table. I got the 8 wing platter. Wings are a little tough and I don't like feathers on my wings. I think that they could be cooked a little longer. I had one that was not cooked/raw inside. I voiced my concern. Well, Hunter came right out to talk to me about the wings. He is the Pit Master here. I really appreciate that they took out the time to talk to us. Well this time I got the turkey platter and it's plentiful. The turkey is tender and good. My better half got the ribs and brisket platter with green beans and potato salad brisket is really tender and the ribs are really good. I'd come back. I just won't get wings. By the way Hunter gave us a banana pudding for our troubles. I Really appreciate that too and the longer I sit here the more it's filling up when I first came in. It wasn't that many folks here but now it's getting really crowded. Great place for family gatherings. The ambiance is not overwhelming/ too loud. Nice country western music. Some oldies of rock and roll too. Edley's, Welcome to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Let me start off by saying we almost didn't stop here because of the previous reviews. My husband loves BBQ and is super picky about it. He had ribs, brisket & baked beans, he gave this place a 4.5! Banana pudding was good too. The BBQ nachos could use a little more effort or artistic flare. We would definitely eat here again! Leaving the extra 1/2 star review because they allowed us to have our dog on the patio

Yelp
Update: The management reached out to my husband and apologized. They sent us a gift card to give them another try to show us they have good brisket. We hesitated for several weeks and then decided to give it a try. My husband said the brisket was much better and the way brisket should be. Then this evening we gave it another try and the manager who we spoke to originally was on staff, she apologized for how she came off that night and for the food. This evening I had the smash burger and it was very good. My kids love the banana pudding and their fries are very good. I'm glad this turned around as it is right down the road from our home. Thank you to the staff at Edley's

Yelp
I got the barbecue avocado plate and added turkey . There was so much flavor and I love the bacon and sauce on there. I had some of the grit casserole too and it was nice and cheesy and had a nice kick to it The service was very good and I definitely want to go back and try more items on the menu .

Yelp
We had a party of 45 we needed catered so we called up Edleys the king of the bbq. They did not disappoint. Plenty of pulled chicken, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, beans, potato salad cornbread and buns. Everything was delicious and was delivered in a timely manner. Bbq sauce was spot on but we also had white bbq sauce which was actually quite good everyone left happy and with leftovers. Nice work Edleys!
google avatar

Brayden M.

Yelp
Usually whenever barbecue comes to mind I usually expect the meat to be some what chewie or dry, but this by far is the most tendered meat i've had in a while! Absolutely loved it. Service was great. Everyone's friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is the time it takes for the food, and how long it takes the servers to clean tables. Good thing they have TV's and classic country music playing to keep everyone distracted.
google avatar

Codie W.

Yelp
Tried this new spot for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The ambiance is cozy but modern--great vibe for a casual dinner or date night. The food was flavorful and clearly made with fresh ingredients (highly recommend the [insert dish if you'd like]). Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely adding this to my rotation!
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
Nice patio for seating with a small putting green for amusement while you wait for food. The tables needed to be cleared, but there were still quite a few tables to choose from (we were there probably during the lunch rush). The food was good. Not the best brisket, but the sausage was very good. My standards for meat, because I don't eat it that often, are high and I was disappointed with the brisket. It's a nice restaurant and feels spacious. It will be a good addition to the area.
google avatar

Kelly Dues T.

Yelp
Fun vibe with open windows at the bar. Lots of seating. Mo and the rest of the staff were awesome. They have an allergy list if you request it. Enjoyed the hot pork platter. Plenty of parking and seemed easily kid friendly.
google avatar

Allison B.

Yelp
An after church staple! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu but pork tacos are a fav. The putt putt area makes the wait worth it for the kiddos!
google avatar

Rebecca O.

Yelp
Great BBQ. Really enjoyed the potato salad also. The BBQ sauce was not my favorite.

Margaretha T.

Yelp
The brisket alone was a zero, however- the sides and other entrees were good, hence an overall score of two. I found the brisket to be overcooked, dry and lifeless, and I expected a whole lot more from Edley's.
google avatar

Darlene W.

Yelp
Food was alrite, atmosphere cool, service was good. Uhm, we enjoyed the place. It was enough food they serve for u to eat . Shouldn't leave hungry . We'll visit again.
google avatar

Holli A.

Yelp
I got my food to-go so can't rate the ambiance or service but the pulled pork was great! The banana pudding was not good. Was total mush basically. Not what I'd expect from a southern barbecue place. Hopefully they can fix that recipe because I love banana pudding.

Jessie Maness M.

Yelp
Food was good liked sausage. BBQ pork was a little dry but not terrible. I don't like not having table service. We went to bar area so group could have couple drinks without several tabs.
google avatar

Elana T.

Yelp
Our cousin recommended us this place and we did. We were amazed how busy this location was. The restaurant opened @11am and we came right at 11:10am. It was full house. We got seated right away at the bar station. The bartender was really helpful. The food was amazing. We love our orders. The restaurant was very spacious & good vibes.
google avatar

Alyssa K.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance was amazing . I always bring guest from out of town here. I can't wait to bring them back!
google avatar

Kevin T.

Yelp
Figured I would add my two cents. Restaurant is new to this location so take that for what it's worth. My wife and I walked in and there is a line nearly out the door. Line doesn't move and looking out in the seated crowd, there is no seating available. We decided to do the takeout right next door. They do not notify you when the food is ready to be picked up so after 20 min(not bad), I walked In and my food was up on the rack waiting for me to get it. My review of actual food is this. We both got the brisket and it was just ok. Wifey said the green beans were good and I enjoyed the Mac and cheese. Definitely not worth the wait. I would recommend waiting till the newness wears off before visiting.
google avatar

Timothy T.

Yelp
Worth the drive if downtown is further. Food was so good that some sides were out of stock , like the grits casserole. Line to order was long but they brought it to our table not too long after sitting with our number. It was busy but not too loud. This location seems bigger or atleast more spacious than downtown. The line to order never got shorter so if you see something you like , just order it on your way 1st run and grab a container to go if it's too much. Wasn't impressed with Mac n cheese but I'm not a Mac n cheese person, would've preferred grit's casserole which was out or maybe a different side

Yelp
I've been to the new Hendersonville location several times and I think it's their best location yet! Brisket is always on point! The Brisket Tacos, Tuck Sandwich, Hot chicken.. Wings... it's all good! I'll be a regular for sure! The bartenders Mo and Cash are super friendly and a joy to talk too! Sit at the bar if you get a chance.
google avatar

Yelp
I've always been a fan of Edley's and I am thrilled they have opened in this area. Finally we have great barbecue (and everything else) with a full bar and wonderful atmosphere! I have done dine-in at the bar and a large takeout order since they opened in Gallatin and both were exceptional!!!! I'm working my way through the whole menu because I want to try everything. So far things I particularly love : the brisket! The white sauce! The hot sauce! The pork, the turkey, the potato salad, the coleslaw, the grits, the cornbread, the tuck sandwich, the banana pudding, the baked beans, the green beans....anyway everything is delicious! If you're looking to try stuff I highly recommend the sampler platter for dine in or takeout. It's great!

Tamlyn W.

Yelp
I returned to Edley's at the request of a group of friends tonight. I ordered the Southern salad with chicken and it was good! A friend ordered ribs and they looked fresh and moist. We sat on the patio, and the bartenders took excellent care of us. One star up and climbing.

Laura W.

Yelp
Had take out. One of the best BBQ briskets I have had. The sauce was amazing. Mac and cheese was yummy
google avatar

Lindsay J.

Yelp
This is my husband's favorite restaurant in Gallatin. He wants to eat here every day. I highly recommend the brisket tacos. They are unlike anything I've ever eaten and I love them. They are Smokey, with a little bit of sweet and spicy flavor. The fried jalapeños on top really makes it. I don't like spicy food at all but these are wonderful. I also really like the catfish. It comes in crispy strips with deliciously seasoned batter. The catfish goes well with the green beans and fries. I also like their potato salad but it isn't for everyone. I think it's a sour cream based potato salad with red skin potatoes, bacon bits, and a little ranch seasoning.
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
We stopped at the new Edleys in Gallatin. My wife got the bbq and I got the brisket. Her bbq was good but don't waste your money on the brisket. I got 2 real thin pieces that had absolutely no flavor. Plus they had some kind of sauce on it that I scraped off. Brisket does need any sauce if it's cooked right. The slaw is awful, it was real tangy and sour tasting. When you pay that much for a plate of brisket you'd hope it was tasty. Not recommended

Jerry W.

Yelp
The food was delicious!!! If you're craving Southern BBQ, --this is the place! From the moment you walk in, you're hit with the mouthwatering aroma of slow-smoked meats. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a laid-back meal with friends or family. I tried the brisket and sausage, and both were delicious with that perfect smoky flavor. The BBQ sauce had the right balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy. The sides were just as impressive--creamy mac & cheese, greens beans, and cornbread. Service was friendly and fast, and the portions were generous. Shoutout to Madison and Christian for the friendly and attentive service. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
After reading all of the customer reviews & printed articles concerning the best restaurants in Nashville...local & national. I was very disappointed.
google avatar

Phil M.

Yelp
So far, not impressed. Yet another overhyped bar with sub-par food. We ordered the bbq chicken nachos and stopped there because of our experience. The chicken was cold and chewy. The chips were fried potato wedges and not actual nacho chips that you'd expect, which made the whole flavor just weird. There was barely any bbq sauce and it was drizzled on before the cheese and other toppings so you couldn't taste it. The coleslaw is vinegar based, which is fine, but it was swimming in vinegar which immediately brought a horde of flies that landed in it. I seriously think one of them was wearing armor and planted a flag claiming their territory. The potato salad was good but we had to scarf it down before the fly king landed and claimed that also. I guess we win that round! Staff seems under trained and confused about how their system works. Many of them were standing around watching others work. Well try it again someday, perhaps in the winter when the windows are closed. But for now, not impressed.

Shelby H.

Yelp
No idea why this place only has 3.5 stars. This was the best bbq we've had in Nashville! Brisket, ribs, and mac n cheese were top notch. We've been trying to find a go-to spot since we moved here a year ago and we've finally found it!
google avatar

Bruce P.

Yelp
I've been in two times and it's not as busy as when they first opened so that's good. The sides are all good and the brisket / sausage platter is what I order. I actually like the sausage better. The brisket has a little too much fat. I may try something different next time and I'll let you know.

Bill S.

Yelp
food is great as always. My server was Deb, and she's the very best!! I have always enjoyed the experience with quick service too! Bar is where it's at.

Yelp
My wife and I go to their Sylvan Park location often and I've left several 5 star reviews. I realize this one hasn't been open very long, but neither had the one at Sylvan Park the first time there. This location needs some serious work, and reading other reviews, apparently I'm not alone. A friend of mine who lives in Gallatin wanted me to come up and meet him there for lunch today. I ordered burnt ends (brisket), baked beans, mac & cheese, and a beverage (the burnt ends are supposed to be on grits, but they were out of grits so I was asked to choose another side). My guest ordered the half chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and a drink. When we sat down, I realized the gentleman that took our order never gave me a glass for my beverage. When the food arrived, we both said, near simultaneously, the baked beans are cold! Unlike the Sylvan Park location, where you're given a cellophane wrapped knife, fork, and spoon, here they bring you a fork. My guest commented, how am I supposed to eat this half chicken with a flimsy plastic pork? I went to the kitchen area and asked one of the employees to let the kitchen know the beans are coming out cold. She was very nice about it, and asked if I would like something else. I told her I'd like some hot baked beans. Apparently that wasn't an option, so I chose another side. The worst part of the meal, and good reason I should probably leave a 1 star review vs. 2, was the burnt ends. They were cut into tiny cubes, and half of them were 100% fat. Inedible. Beautiful facility, and while I go up there and have lunch with my buddy often, no reason to ever return here, unless they get their ducks in a row.

Yelp
Was there for lunch two weeks ago. Food is underwhelming. Sat in a booth waiting for our food watching one of the cooks eating on the cook line the entire time we were there. Chewing with his mouth open. Was very disgusting. Manager walked by him several times and didn't seem to care or notice. When you have an open kitchen, your cooks need to know they are being watched. As a restaurant owner, I was blown away.

Yelp
Great food as always! Smoked turkey was tender, moist & flavorable. Pork & sides were delicious! Marsha (our server) was wonderful!

Yelp
Ribs were great and the sides were really good. A little disappointed in the brisket though! Portions are a bit small. Bar staff were slooow. Only 7 people including me at the bar and I stood for 5 minutes before helped BUT the cocktails tasted amazing. Cool atmosphere inside.

Yelp
This is my first visit to the new location and I have to say that I hope they figure it out cuz I do want them to be successful. I have to say that I do not like the "wait in line and order your food" format but I'll get over it if everything else is working. A group of 6 of us went to an early dinner and our food almost got to our table before we did, we didn't even have time to order our drinks trying to get the online drink ordering system to work. All in all the food was good, but not "bring our out of town visitors here" Good, but okay good. Service was still very clumsy but I expect they will get that right in short order. The restaurant itself is comfortable and works well, do like the outside area. We've been to 2 other Edley's locations and Franklin was by far the best, food, service and vibe. Wel'll be back but I really want this to be a place I get excited to visit.... Not there yet.

Yelp
We took our grandson and his girlfriend today for lunch and we had a great meal. They had Nashville Hot Chicken and pulled pork. Great sandwiches, great sides!! Their slaw is incredible. I had the catfish and it was great!! We will definitely be back!!
