14 Boozy Frozen Drinks in Nashville for Spring | Eater Nashville

"Edley’s didn’t invent barbecue or the Bushwacker, but they do a bang-up job at making both. And the popular Nashville milkshake-like libation made with rum, coconut cream, and chocolate syrup is just $5 on Wednesdays at all of their multiple locations throughout the city." - Clara Wang

This is some dang good BBQ! Better than Memphis. The brisket is fork tender with a perfect smoke ring and bark. The pulled pork is packed with flavor and their hose BBQ sauce had the right twang and the right kick for me! My wife enjoyed the Mac and cheese, and my fried okra was amazing with perfect breading! The sign isn’t lying when it says “Come for the BBQ, stay because you can’t move”! My only drawback was the cashier didn’t know what moist and lean cut of brisket was, and looked at us like we had two head when we asked for moist. But it’s not worth knocking off a star for. Definitely would recommend swinging by here weather you are staying a few days or just passing through. They have plenty of seating indoors or on the patio, with a bar that faces both inside and out. Live music in certain days and several TV’s playing sports. Just a short drive from the interstate, this is well worth the side trip.

This place! This is the one to go to! We’re from Boston, but we travel a reasonable amount. We’ve had BBQ in a bunch of places. This is the place! We had a lot! 6 people and we shared everything! Steph at the bar was wonderful! You want her as your bartender! The food is amazing! The atmosphere is awesome! The service is excellent! We order the sample platter and man was it great!

Google
Edley’s BBQ really delivered. The brisket was incredibly tender and full of flavor—easily some of the best I’ve had. Burnt ends were excellent. The sides were all on point—mac and cheese, potato salad, and banana pudding were all delicious. They also gave out a free pulled pork sandwich for National BBQ Day, which was just as impressive. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

Long story short, this was my first time eating here (I’m from out of state). The person taking my order was rude. My food came out in a fair amount of time. I ordered the Brisket platter with fried green tomatoes and collards as sides. The brisket was really tough and overcooked. I managed to cut it using a knife but after a few bites, Ijust didn’t want it anymore. The sides were great and so was the cornbread. The manager came to my table as I was preparing to leave and asked “how was everything?” I told her the brisket was dry and tough. She responded “aww…can I get you a box for your fried green tomatoes? It was a pretty disappointing experience.

Happened across this place on our recent trip to Nashville. Stopped in for lunch for a quick bite and boy did we get a huge surprise! Our bartender Leon was phenomenal! He had the absolute best sense of humor and joked around with (my short Mama) & us from the get-go. So hard to find the kind of customer service we received while there! He suggested the fried ribs so three out of four of us took the bait. So glad we did because they were the best ribs I have ever had in my life! (And my mama makes some pretty good ribs!)😉 My husband said that was the best meal he has ever had! Had a chance to sample the Bushwacker which was out of this world, so much better than what you get down at the beach! Wish we lived closer because this would be a weekly go to! May have to make a special 2 hour drive to get our fix!!!

First time customer. Everything was excellent. Would recommend to any out of towners. Thanks for a good first impression. Pics are the aftermath and the catfish tacos are good just not featured because they were already in my stomach hahaha.

We did an incredible food tour with Secret Food Tours throughout East Nashville! One of our stops brought us to Edley’s Bar-B-Que. we got to try the Catfish Taco and the Banana Pudding! The Catfish Taco was INCREDIBLE - my favorite entree we tried on the tour! It was perfectly crispy, delectable at every bite, and the cole slaw on top was perfectly tangy. The Banana Pudding was incredible, too. I’m personally not a big fan of banana pudding, but I found it to be perfectly sweet! It was the perfect balance of vanilla and banana flavor. And it had the perfect creamy texture! I would definitely come back in the future for both items and to try other menu items.

Google
It has been a long time since I had BBQ cut this improperly. Slicing with the grain on the Point End 🤦‍♂️. Someone in the kitchen running the knife has either never eaten brisket or does not like BBQ 😢. Brisket was surprisingly tender, it needed more smoke and seasoning, bordering on pot roast. Ribs had slight more seasoning, but needed more moisture and smoke as well. Slaw was a nice vinegar version and Mac and Cheese had more flavor than it looked to have. Pimento cheese got a little too warm and tried to turn into a glob. Service was pleasant and timely. As they filled up it got very load.

Yelp
love love love and more love. as soon as you walk in, order at the counter. seat yourself. i sat at the bar. food came out quick! theres such a great beer selection here. also, prices are very modest. i grabbed the chicken BBQ with alabama sauce. loved it. juicy, sweet and sour. portions were huge. i grabbed a side of mac (moist + flavor), they dont make it in house anymore, but their recipe is used. also something that was unique here was the fact that i can get banana pudding as a side. this was good too. side of slaw+pickles were refreshing.

Yelp
I've been to Edley's several times now. They put out consistently good bbq. Only meat I have not had and will try soon is the brisket. It's always sold out which apparently is an indication of how good it is. They do add brisket in the beans and they taste great. Ordered dine in at the bar. Bartender was great and kept my drinks full. Nice open air concept makes for a good down home atmosphere. I had the pork sandwich, potato salad, and baked beans. The pork was tender, not mushy, there's a huge difference. The pork has a nice flavor of smoke but not too overpowering. The beans were flavorful as well as the potato salad. Definitely will go back. Fingers crossed I get there before the brisket sales out.

Yelp
Edleys is one of my all time favorite bbq spots! We used to have one in Lexington KY for a brief period of time before the pandemic wreaked havoc and caused ours to close. Unfortunately for us we no longer have one in town and must busy Nashville to have this wonderfully delicious bbq. We decided to stop at Edley's on our way home from Nashville this week and decided to get a couple pounds of pulled pork and Mac and cheese to have for some meals at home this week. It came out hot and fresh and tightly wrapped to seal in the freshness. I cant wait to enjoy it when we get home. From past experience I know this will not disappoint. This was my first visit to the east neighborhood location and it's a little confusing to find. We were not sure on parking so my husband waited in the car while I ran in. I noticed when I was ordering they do validate parking at 1000 woodland for up to 1.5hrs. You scan the QR code at the register to do this. We will keep this in mind for next time. Also for those of you that value awards. Edley's has been ranked best bbq several years running. Don't miss out on this gem if in Nashville TN.

Yelp
Before today, I considered Edley's one of my favorite Q joints. With the Cole slaw being my all time favorite. Today, i ordered the catfish plate with Mac/cheese and Cole slaw. I was extremely disappointed. The quality control has been off my last few orders from here and that's a management issue. Anyway, back to today, the slaw was too peppery. The Mac/cheese was also too peppery and Karen-ish bland. Catfish fillets had too much breading and two pieces were undercooked. Looks like it's time to find a replacement.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
One of our favorite BBQ joints in East Nashville. The pulled pork is competition-grade goodness: Smoky, lean but juicy, and seasoned just-so. The brisket is done perfectly with that smoke ring you look for in a product that's been lovingly cared for in the smoker. I had catfish tacos (I know, I know....) and they were (ahem) "The best catfish tacos I've ever had in a Bar-b-Que joint." The catfish was tasty, battered in a light, crispy shell. But, as a Mexicano myself, the tortilla was a letdown and there was way too much "secret sauce" that made the tacos a little "wet" to eat. To finish, we split an order of banana pudding and this alone is worth a return trip to Edley's! It was 99% as good as my wife's banana pudding (known worldwide as the best banana pudding on the planet).

Yelp
Impeccable. Incredible service. Delicious Food. What more could you ask for? This Edley's location is by far my favorite. Edleys is a must for anyone and everyone. Whether you're new in town, just passing through, or just simply looking for great BBQ- here is your place! When you walk in you will be placed in line to order first, then you get to pick your seat and place your order number at the table. It is ALWAYS worth the wait! My family came to visit from Chicago and after trying Edley's one time prior, I knew this was the spot I was taking them (the Banana Pudding had both my hands in the air the first time and I had to order 2 more to go because it was THAT good) My mom loves dessert, so when we were told it would be a wait for the banana pudding OF COURSE I said we would wait! There was 3 of us and we ordered The Smoker Sampler and we had plenty left! (Comes with 3 smoked meats, 4 pint sized sides, sauces, a few cornbread and decent handful of pickles. If you have any left to be packed up, they have a cardboard carrier for you! Makes it so easy!) We chose brisket, ribs and pork. My step dad LOVED the brisket, where my mom and I found the Ribs to be perfect. The Mac and cheese was the most notable side. The star of the show was hands down the Banana Pudding. What a God sent gift! I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Ronnie! Who handmade our banana pudding, let us know the whipped cream is made in house as well. Ronnie thank you for making our experience at Edley's unforgettable. Thank you for making the BEST DESSERT I HAVE EVER HAD. Best. Banana. Pudding. In the WORLD! I will be back - don't be surprised if I buy multiple pints of Banana pudding! This Edley's made us feel like family. We felt loved and accepted from the moment we walked in with the gracious man who took our order and went above and beyond to Ronnie's amazing dessert at the end! When he found out my parents were visiting and how much my mom LOVED the banana pudding (who also agreed it was the best she has had in her whole LIFE) Ronnie went above and beyond for my mom, which won my heart over! We love you Edley's. We love you Ronnie as well! If I could give you guys an award I would. You are a significant staple to Nashville. Thank you for sharing your food with us and being a great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
I've been to Edley's many times over the last 2 years... I'll say that the one in East Nashville just does it better than the one in 12 South. I find the one in 12 south always tends to have brisket on the drier side. As other reviews mention, Edley's is not only a tourist spot, but it is definitely a local spot. I always get the brisket when I go. They also have a great pork sandwich, burnt ends, and solid sides. Oh, and their sweet iced tea is THE BEST.

Yelp
Hands-down, the best meal we ate while visiting Nashville. We've been to Nashville a couple of times and had brunch and had dinners at some nice swanky places but Edleysbhad the best barbecue we've had in a long time. Not pretentious barbecue place where you order and sit down with a number. There was a group of eight of us and everyone loved their food, service was good, bartender was super nice. Try their white barbecue sauce.

Yelp
After a long day of traveling I was in need of some yummy dinner. Just got into town for work and found this place on yelp, close to our Air BNB and it's BBQ, sounds perfect. I don't know that I had any expectations because I've never been to Tennessee, I've only really had Texas BBQ. This was pretty close to Texas. The brisket was good, sauces were excellent, Mac and cheese was quite possibly the best I've ever had. Beans were really good, more savory than sweet which I liked. Hot links were decent. If I had to give any feedback it would be portion size. My 2 sides were an additional $4 on top of the $12 sandwich. Plus $10 for the hot links. I think it's mostly just prices these days being outrageous but this was over $30 just for myself! And the Mac and cheese was so good, I want more than a shot glass of it!! All in all it was very good and I'd go back. Laid back atmosphere, we went on a Sunday night, people were there but it wasn't busy, numerous tables to choose from. Try to park on the street, not in the pay lot across the street. It was going to be $12 to park in that lot, we found a spot on the street that was free 1 hr parking.

Yelp
Delicious! It's everything you could hope for in a southern BBQ joint. Everything was so tender and not over seasoned. The slaw was nice and crunchy and not gloppy. The service was great; it's a casual place but they do have a little bar next door. I ate every last crumb!
google avatar

Ana C.

Yelp
First time coming and really wanted to try some of their food. The pulled pork sandwich was incredible. Their Mac and cheese was also really good and the fries, OMG amazing. I recommend checking it out. It's the type of place where you order and then sit down, the place is really cute and the area is really nice.

Yelp
Loved the hot chicken sandwich! The chicken had good flavoring and definitely had a kick to it. The pickles were perfect the mac and cheese was good and had a hint of nutmeg or cinnamon that made it just a little bit different. The banana pudding was a sweet little treat too. I felt like the portions were a good size for what you pay

Yelp
I was at a business event and they had Edley's Bar-B-Que. The staff that brought it was friendly and professional and I have to commend them all. They had it set up and the whole event went off with no issues from them because of their excellent team. The food was definitely enjoyable. I tried a bit of everything and it was all spot on. The proteins were all great. The sides were great, as well, and the banana pudding was a great way to end the meal. Edley's Bar-B-Que has grown significantly in the Nashville, Tennessee area since then first opened their first location back in 2011. In the twelve years since, they have expanded to nine locations, including a location in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is easy to see why they have prospered and grown so much once you taste their food. Edley's Bar-B-Que is that good. I would definitely recommend this particular location of Edley's Bar-B-Que and I will give it (for catering, at least) five stars overall.

Yelp
Edley's is a great local BBQ spot! I'd heard from several friends that this was a Nashville must-visit, and being a big barbecue fan, I was so excited to try their food. I placed an order for takeout online via DoorDash on a weeknight, and was able to swing by on my way home. The parking lot was packed, and a bit tricky to navigate. I found a spot after a few minutes, and was able to run inside and pick up my order. The interior was casual and comforting - exactly what you'd expect from a barbecue joint. It seemed like there was a wide variety of people dining in - everyone from families with kids to groups of friends sitting at the bar sipping on brews after a long day at work. There is a separate pick-up counter, which is always a plus when visiting such a popular dining destination. The staff member sitting there was so friendly - and made sure to double check the already packaged food to ensure I'd received all of my sauces and sides. I ordered a little bit of everything so we could taste as much as possible! The Nashville Hot Links were hands-down my favorite thing we tried - combining spicy, sweet, and smokey flavors for the perfect bite of BBQ. I also liked the pulled chicken, especially when topped with their "Viola Sauce." Of the sides we tried, the Baked Beans stood out, followed closely by the Green Beans. We'll definitely consider Edley's the next time we're craving barbecue - and I'm sure we'll dine in next time to get the full experience!

Yelp
Food was delicious and a solid revoking draft selection. At at the bar and found the staff very attentive and good value for your money. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Really good BBQ!!! I was headed downtown to another place but the line was 3 people thick and 50 feet out the door. So at the recommendation of a local friend I headed to Edley's. Boy am I happy I did! I ordered the brisket plate with Cole slaw and grits. Everything was amazing! I like my brisket moist/fatty. They served it up to perfection! Good bark on it and the meat melted in my mouth. Life doesn't get any better than that! The meat is drizzled with their house BBQ sauce and topped with 3 pickle slices. The BBQ sauce was very good. I might buy a bottle next time I'm in town and check my suitcase. The plate was served with cornbread (a little dry for my taste) and 2 sides. The Cole slaw has got to be one of the best I have ever had! It is vinegar based, not Mayo. That's just how I like it. Great tangy and fresh crispness in the bite. I actually drank the rest of the vinegar after I finished the slaw. It was THAT good! I also tried the grits. I was torn between the grits and the baked beans. OMG, the grits were amazing. So good, not too cheesy, and great flavors. I usually add Tabasco to my grits. Didn't need to add anything to these. I also grabbed a brownie cake for dessert. Boy was it rich. It was a probably 3 or 4 inch squared piece and I couldn't finish it. Defiantly good size to share. Cool atmosphere that definitely gives you the feeling of being in a barbecue joint, without the lasting scent in your clothes. Quite a few TVs around if you want to watch a game. Decent size bar as well as patio seating. It's order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Service was very friendly and one of the guys was very attentive. He was brewing new iced tea when I went for a refill and he said he would come find me when it's ready. Great service!!! And the price was pretty reasonable for great BBQ. They have multiple locations, and I am sure they all serve up the same great taste with the same great friendly service.

Yelp
I ordered online, drove 15 min to pick it up, and they tell me they are out! I have no problem they are out, but WHY THE ACTUAL FUCK wont you call me or text me or email me. Before i drive all the fucking way there. The "manager" is an inconsiderate brick of a human. Ok that's it, i still like your guys turkey tho, i ll def order again from the 12th ave one.
google avatar

Jo Ann G.

Yelp
As you walk in, you place your food order with the dining staff at the front counter, they assign your table number, then you head over to the bar to order drinks before you settle into a dining table of your choice. There are tv monitors throughout the restaurant and seating areas around the bar, kitchen, or just off the beaten path. The noise level is average and atmosphere seemed fun and welcoming. The service was excellent and the place is well maintained. The staff work hard to keep the dining areas clean and ready for the next guest. The food was delicious!! The half rack of ribs I had were pretty good! The meat just fell off the bone!! Their cornbread and fried pickles were great! I would love to try their sampler but I don't think my husband and I can finish one on our own. They serve a lot of food!!
google avatar

Mopsie B.

Yelp
I'm not a barbecue fan, but my husband is and is from Kansas City. He said this place is very subpar. I don't eat meat but all the other options here are smothered in cheese or fried or both. Yuck. The service, especially the bartender, was great. I think it's just a very overhyped chain.

Randi Z.

Yelp
Went for the ribs but found out they weren't ready until after 12pm.. No real service except for the cashier up front Help yourself/find it yourself kinda place Food was okay, disappointed that we couldn't get the ribs
google avatar

Beatrice V.

Yelp
5 star review simply because of the ribs. The service is also very friendly here. We ordered the smoker sampler - 3 meats and 4 pint-sized sides. Don't think we necessarily should have ordered the sampler because I think we spent more than we would have liked and we didn't need that many sides. We got 2 portions of ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were out of this world. The meat was tender and juicy and fell off the bone. I had BBQ several times throughout my road trip of the south and these were my favorite. Truly so good! The pulled pork was also good. The sides I thought were just okay but the potato salad was the best of the bunch and the corn was pretty good too. The cornbread was sadly disappointing and dry. They have lots of pies and other sweets for sale by the cash register, many of them caught my eye.

Deanna W.

Yelp
Amazing! Visiting Nashville for the week and this place is bomb. Ordered the three star platter, portrait salad, baked beans side banana pudding. Try it you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
I actually liked this place a lot, it wasn't the best bbq I've ever had but it was simple and affordable. The bartender was super friendly. The only thing I didn't love was the new building, it felt too much like a chain restaurant instead of a bbq joint.

Ali K.

Yelp
Being a resident of Nashville over the last few years I've had my fair share of BBQ.. And Edleys has always come in first place! The hot chicken and brisket tacos have been my favorite for YEARS! Along with the Mac and cheese :) The manager, Troy was FANTASTIC! He was attentive and knowledgeable. He truly cared for his patrons and wanted to make sure we had the best experience! The staff was so friendly as well! I can't recommend this place enough!! I'll be back again and again!
google avatar

Mike Z.

Yelp
This place is huge but you don't notice it from the street. There's plenty of patio space and seating inside as well. The bar staff is super friendly and we've never had issues with orders. The food is consistent and surprisingly filling. You always think what you're served will not fill you up but it always seems to be ample and flavorful for decent BBQ. It's not mind blowing food but you know what to expect and they have solid bar selections for beer and cocktails. It's a staple of Nashville and they have plenty of locations but I haven't been biased on one location over the other as they've all been pretty good.
google avatar

Pete K.

Yelp
This restaurant does a great job at serving up some consistently good bbq. Any shortcomings in the food whether in quality or preference would have to stem from it being a chain. And when I say chain I mean they have one or two other locations. The appeal is to the masses and they have to smoke a lot of meat and timing is everything. For me, showing up any time of the day will yield great bbq- it gets the job done well and rarely have they run out of particular meats. I can mostly attest to the quality of the brisket and hot links (and the occasional order of fries- which are delicious). I've had the slaw and bbq baked beans and those are all super tasty. I think their house BBQ sauces are super good too. Staff there tracks on the younger side but they are extremely polite, efficient and adept at making short work of the experience. Thank you for that. Regarding location and restaurant interior... trendy neighborhood w a very walkable street and other sites/ stores to check out. The inside has a great vibe, saloon style, lots of tables- both inside and out. I've always found it to be clean and hospitable (outside of the occasional sauce- induced sticky spots :)

Yelp
We arrived on a Friday around noon and found plenty of parking in the pay lot behind. It was easy to order at the counter then we were given a number to set on our table. We sat outside which is covered and had ceiling fans which helped keep things cool. My husband said his burnt ends were delicious and fries well seasoned. My dry rubbed smoked wings came out hot and fresh. Green beans were well seasoned. Banana pudding was very rich and sweet so I couldn't even finish the small side but it was yummy! We just had water to drink but there were plenty of choices from the bar to please anyone!

Dave C.

Yelp
Outstanding in every way!! Catfish was excellent. Hush puppies great. And the rum shake was mmmmmmmnnnnn!!!
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Edley's new space in east is so great! They have indoor seating, outdoor seating, and a bar connecting the two spaces. I love the brisket- this time I got the sandwich and the bun was toasted which is definitely a level up. For sides I love the baked beans, potato salad, and banana pudding. The collard greens are an honorable mention- well seasoned, a little spicy. I am sad that there is an up charge for Mac & cheese as a side. They have various pies for desserts and They do have coke products as well as several cocktails and what appears to be a full bar. Maybe not the absolute best most authentic barbecue out there but it's very, very, good and love to support Tennessee businesses!

John A.

Yelp
Glorious is the only way to describe my experience at this establishment. Now, the bathroom could use a touch up. But that was all forgotten when my lips touched the Tuck's Special. Brisket that melted in my mouth. Then add the pimento cheese, the runny egg, and the sauce. My mouth is watering as we speak. I tried the banana pudding. Straight lip-smacking good. I'm more a savory person. But it's a must. The pulled pork was beautiful. And the beers that were available made this a top spot for anyone to stop at. The service was as kind as you could possibly hope for. Service with a smile, while you indulge on some of the best bbq you will ever eat. Oh, and the smoked wings... perfectly crispy. Yet, juicy and meaty. 10/10

Yelp
We came for bbq at Edleys for our last dinner and Nashville and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, probably a little too much because of how full we were after but it was worth it! We sat on the patio and all the servers were super friendly and charming and made sure we were taken care of. We got the smoked platter which feeds 3-4 (or 5) which gives you 3 different meats and 4 sides. It was extremely good value for money and well worth it!! Their homemade bbq sauce was also super tasty with everything. We did find the corn bread a little dry and the green beans side a little over cooked but maybe it was just prepared different than we were expecting. Everything else was great! The wings in particular were bomb.
google avatar

Bea R.

Yelp
Great food and great beer on tap! Be warned they charge extra for certain sides. Marginal service as far as the south goes... The atmosphere is nice, though, and worth a visit.

Yelp
Mmmm Mmm Mmm! Love is place. Stopped in while shopping and it was such a great atmosphere. I loved the chill vibe, everyone was super friendly and I enjoyed the food. I order the pulled chicken sandwich with a side of fries. It was delicious! I loved the BBQ sauce which I ended up buying a bottle to take home. The fries were hecka crispy and hot with great seasoning. Overall, great place and I highly recommend :)

Yelp
Stopped in for a nice lunch recommeded by our lyft driver and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Beef brisket, baked beans, Mac and cheese and hot cornbread. I finished the whole plate. Need I say more? Really nice casual bar vibe and great service.

Yelp
Edley's is one of those places tourist and locals flock to in Nashville. My favorite dish is the burnt ends platter because it comes with a side of delicious cheese grits that have a little kick. For the new comers: review the menu then place your order at the register. The waiter will give you a number to take with you (self seating), your food will be served to you shortly after.

Yelp
After I was blown away by the food at the 12 South location, I was excited to return to Edley's with my bf this trip for some good BBQ! The brisket was disappointing! It was dry, which is a huge no no. The potato salad was good though. The skillet corn was interesting with tidbits of some sort of meat? Legit crumbly cornbread. We opted for something different for dessert and got the chess pie. It was like a lemon bar without the lemon. We liked it. Slow service, and it wasn't even busy when we were there before the dinner rush. This location has a small parking lot and street parking.

Yelp
They say that if you're from Nashville you favor One out of three of the more popular Barbecue joints. Edley's, Martin's, and Peg leg porker. Personally, Edley's is the way to go. When we arrived for dinner on a Friday night it was busy and crowded, but the ambiance was nice. however, we walked up to place our order and we were able to find a table immediately. Edley's is not a sit-down restaurant with servers, you order your food at the stand and choose a place to sit. However, that doesn't mean the waitstaff isn't present. The waitstaff was more than accommodating to bring us extra napkins and refills. I ordered the barbecue plate and for my sides I chose macaroni and cheese and baked beans. The brisket was perfectly cooked, extremely tender and fall-off-the-bone style. The mac and cheese was extra cheesy and flavorful, and the baked beans were sweet and had a kick of heat. Not to mention it comes with a huge slice of cornbread. If you love southern, sweet goodness, this place is for you.

Yelp
We tried the sampler with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. It comes with a half rack of ribs, which is about 6. Four family sized (pint) sides plus 4 slices of toasted cornbread, which felt generous. We had double mac n cheese, grits (which I had to try because they sounded amazing, and they were), and baked beans. We also added 2 pulled pork sandwiches and our tab was just under $100. There 5 in our party including two teen boys and it was more food than we could comfortably finish. I can honestly say that every single item was beyond delicious. We picked Edley's because we looked at the top 3 bbq recs for Nashville, and we had already tried one (it was good, but not our fave bc the ribs were dry rub / dry) and the other one had menu prices quite a bit steeper than Edley's. Although we ended up ordering a sampler that was definitely pricy, it was worth it. We showed up at 9 pm on a Friday & there was no wait. You order at the counter on arrival, drinks are self serve, and they deliver your food. I ended up skipping the tip at the register and leaving a cash tip - I hate being asked to tip before service is rendered. We will be back!

Yelp
We indulged at a lunch date this week at the newly opened location. Best perk...limited free parking in the back! (There is a reasonable parking for a fee across the street.) I would consider this my #2 BBQ in Nashville. Pork sandwich was so good Dry rub wings were big and tasty The 1/2 rack was some of the best ribs I've had in awhile All the sides were sooooo good! Mac n cheese, tater salad and baked beans. We will be back! "Great bang for your Buck"

Yelp
Came here with a friend on a weekend around 1:30PM, quite a lot of people. Order first then sit down. Friend ordered as I wasn't super hungry, tried the brisket with mac & cheese and baked beans along with cornbread. Platter seemed really small (for $19 pre-tax!) but turned out to be a lot of food. Brisket was very tender but not much flavor, same with the mac & cheese. Cornbread seemed borderline dry but not too bad. Plastic utensils and sides come in plastic containers, boo!

Yelp
Been here twice and they have very flavorful brisket!! The Mac and cheese is the right amount of creaminess and flavor! Banana pudding has a great consistency and I could eat it all day!

Yelp
EDIT December 2023: do not eat at this location any longer. Great food, nice people, and neat new location. They are all a fail. We have yet to be there since the new location that an order was taken correctly, that we didn't have to wait an extended period even when there was a very low number of individuals in the restaurant , the food was prepared correctly (undercooked) and the parking continues to be a challenge. Today I attempted to take out, and upon arriving, it was discovered, after it was suggested that I had, in fact, made the order to the wrong location (which I hadn't), that the order was never placed. Thus we've had failures of takeout, sitting at the bar, and ordering through the regular line. Pick another location. As the Duke of this location on yelp, it pains me to write this, but I hope it will make them better.

Yelp
We had 3 different types of BBQ plates and each one was delicious! The staff was very friendly! Clean, casual and bbq that rivals anywhere, and I'm from memphis... :)

Yelp
There is a lot of bbq places in town but Edley's rises above the rest. I've had both the brisket sandwich and the brisket plate recently. It it's well cooked all seasoned. I have tried fries, banana, pudding, cornbread sides. All are very tasty. The cornbread was really dry the other it was not. Barbecue sauce is sweet and savory. The ghost pepper barbecue sauce was top-notch. The prices are pretty high but it's worth good barbecue. Really

Yelp
Excellent customer service, top tier brisket and burnt ends. Tasty corn bread, mac n cheese, perfectly cooked collard greens, baked beans and banana pudding. Clean and well lit. No drawbacks this visit. When in Nashville I will visit again.

Yelp
Edley's never misses, friends. I don't know what I can say enough about them. Every one I've been to in Nashville is solid. My wife and I often go there for special events (again- they don't miss). The hot chicken tacos are always my go-to. Seems odd to recommend hot chicken tacos from a bbq place, when Nashville hot chicken is usually from Prince's or Haddie B's or Party Fowl or wherever? I've had a handful of all those. Edley's is my jam, if given the choice.

Yelp
Decent food., had the chicken and some sides. Nothing special on the sides but they did a good job with the smoked meat. Service was very good. There is a parking lot but if you don't know you may get a ticket parking in that area. The restaurant is pretty big but as an intimate feel. I would visit again she in Nashville in that area.

Yelp
I always love these Yelp! finds. Here's another one. I love BBQ beef and have made a habit of going to these places. We ordered a brisket plate and a sandwich. It seemed like we were cut toward the end because the rub was pronounced - not a bad thing. The beef was nicely chopped cooked, but the flavor of the rub was high. The sauce they make is good. Flavorful and not overly spicy. Mac & cheese side was average. Again, this a positive review and any negatives may be preference, but I'd recommend this place all day!
