Edna Valley Vineyard

We have made 2 trips to SLO and gone out to Edna Valley both times. This vineyard is gorgeous and the staff is great. Jessica was AMAZING and gave great recs, descriptions, and suggestions. Had a wonderful time and will def be back!

Such a beautiful setting, amazing wines, and not wines you can get at the market, well worth the trip here, staff incredibly friendly, Claire in particular made the experience the best it could be, very knowledgeable. They can ship you wine also, very handy for anyone from out of town who doesn’t want to lug it around. Will be back :) Better charcuterie than other wineries I’ve been to

Stunning views from an exquisite and modern tasting room. Multiple outdoor patios and seating as well. Our server was lovely and so knowledgeable of the wines as well as the region. Wines we’re paired well with locally-made cheeses and we also enjoyed the charcuterie board. Atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for a romantic date or with a group.

Really nice service and view! Amazing place. Giving it 4 instead of 5 since they served all the tasting wines in the same glass. As an Argentinean, I would have expected 5 different glasses specifically if you are mixing white with red 🤔🤔 Thanks anyways really nice place

We found this winery by accident and were pleasantly surprised by the property and staff. The space is beautiful and has amazing views. We sat in the member's lounge on a comfy couch that overlooked vineyards, citrus trees, beautiful blue skies and rolling hills. Once we sat down, we were greeted by Brody. He's super charming, and personable, not to mention that he really knows wine. Brody took his time explaining the wine and it didn't feel like a sales pitch. It felt like talking to an old friend. We enjoyed this experience so much we both joined the wine club, bought some wine and are already planning another trip back with friends. They have events throughout the year, so we're really looking forward to attending some of those as well! Highly recommend!

A highlight of our trip to the Central Coast! The view is simply stunning! We sat outside on a clear but chilly day, warmed by the fire pit. The wines were delicious, and were enjoyed even more fully with bread and Edna Valley house olive oil. We happily brought both wine and olive oil home with us!

The tasting room is designed with modern touches and extra large windows to provide the maximum views. Outside seating’s allows you to enjoy the sunshine and the wildlife in this beautiful natural setting . The Edna valley wines are a cross between Napa valley and Santa Lucia highlands. Their Syrah and Meritage are in my opinion some of the best.

Wine tasting with a view of the vineyard was an experience we'll never forget. Our server Jenna was so friendly and informative about their wines. We love it here and will definitely come back.

We came here on a Sunday morning, we were welcomed by Amanda . She did an exceptional job !! She made our time here fabulous . Beautiful atmosphere, and peaceful. We had a tasting of their reds . They are not sampling whites at this time. They are dog friendly.

4.5 Stars 18 Barrel Flight: $25/person, and Heritage Flight: $35/person. Cheese and Charcuterie board $25. Beautiful property with an amazing indoor tasting area with views across the vineyards and to the mountains. There is a "Members Only" indoor area, as well as a private patio. Large outdoor patio in the rear for general public. Patio is directly under the approach to SLO airport, which can be a little bothersome to conversations, but you get some pretty good views of the aircraft, so that's cool. We visited with a group of nine people who have varying palates. "Crayola" (Jessica) poured for us, and was an absolute delight. Very knowledgeable on the wines and had great stories of the area's history. We tasted the usual, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but also a "Pink Wine" which wasn't a Rosè, as well as a Cabernet Sauvignon and a red blend. We may have received a couple extra pours as well. Mixed reaction to some of the wines, but we really enjoyed the '21 Heritage Chardonnay, '20 Reserve Syrah, and '21 The Language of YES "Le Cèrisier" (Pink Wine), taking home bottles of each. Overall, a beautiful property, great service, and very nice wines. I would definitely return and would love to try the indoor tasting rooms, as the views are breathtaking. I recommend you give them a visit and see for yourself.

Beautiful winery and glad I finally had the chance to visit as it is one of the largest wineries in the area. While yes, it is owned by a large conglomerate wine company, that should not take away from the charm that it offers. They have some phenomenal views and wine to go along with it. The pricing is fair, but a tad higher than some other local wineries nearby. Fast forward to the tasting, very standard, but a tad rushed by the staff as they had other parties joining, which is fine. Wine was quite good and really hard to pick a favorite, but the Pinot's were quite good! We ended up sitting outside, which was a tad warm, but was okay in the end, although the views from the inside would of been amazing if we had the chance! All and all a good stop and worth the hype, but make sure to call ahead for a reservation as it can get busy.

We stopped here on our way to the Modanna Inn to celebrate my birthday. My husband and I had the 18 barrel flight and the charcuterie board. The wine was perfect and the charcuterie board was good. The service was great. Our server gave us a description of each wine she poured. I liked that she served everything with a smile of her face. The winery is gorgeous! With breathtaking views. Everything inside was aesthetically pleasing. Even the bathroom was pretty. I'm already planning on going back soon.

One of the few vineyards in Edna valley with a beautiful indoor area for wine tastings. Nice ambiance with a great view of their vineyard. You are also able to see planes fly throughout your tasting which is fun. They were a bit short on staff when we went on a Wednesday afternoon but overall speaking, a nice wine tasting experience and the server was very detailed in explaining each wine.

Amazing views in a beautiful location. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wine. The tasting & the pairings were thoughtful and paced perfectly. Our sommelier was knowledgeable and friendly. The reds were particularly good. The Pinot Noir and the Syrah stood out. Makes for a great afternoon. What a beautiful winery. Wine was delicious of course! We did a tasting for $25 a person. We also had a lovely charcuterie board at $25. Overall it was a lovely day and a wonderful experience!

We purchased the wine and cheese pairing for 2. Staff was a bit occupied with others so it was a slow start. The wine was decent but the cheese was amazing. If anything, the grounds were beautiful so worth a visit for that.

I was here this past weekend and I had a fantastic time. Pulling up to the winery, the area is picturesque and the indoor venue is sleek and perfect for a nice wine tasting. We didn't have an appointment and were able to be seated right away. Our wine pourer Jessica was amazing; she was friendly and had tons of knowledge on the wines. We were limited on time since we were only there about an hour but we got through the wine tasting plus tasted a special unlisted wine at the end. My favorites were the pink wine and the syrah. The charcuterie board we ordered was the best, definitely recommend trying. The pecans were my favorite! Overall great experience.

You will be in awe from the moment you walk into the tasting room. We were greeted by Kenzie at the podium who promptly checked us in and escorted us to a table by the window. Kenzie led us through the wine list and was very knowledgeable about both the brand and each wine. She was attentive but did not hover and executed the perfect balance of service and hospitality while letting us enjoy the gorgeous view. Thanks for the wonderful experience and beautiful ambiance.

What a wonderful wine tasting experience! Thank you Emma for taking such good care of us!! First I have to say that this property is just amazing! The views are spectacular! Even if you're sitting inside (which is what we did) the room is open with huge windows all around you so all you see is rolling hills and we were there as the sun was setting which made it even better! Also...only a 10 minute drive from Pismo! We enjoyed the mix of white & reds with a fabulous cheese board. The wines are wonderful here! We decided to join the basic wine membership (3 bottles every 3 months at a 20% discount) basically we knew we wanted to purchase a few bottles as well as a couple bottles of their AMAZING olive oil (all at 30% off for new members) and they comped our wine tasting fee as well! What a great deal! Seriously! 5 of us tasting! Cheeseboard, 3 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of olive oil for only $127 before tip! Emma took great care of us! She was a sweetheart! Very knowledgeable and explained everything to us about each of the wines. She did an awesome job spreading out the pours and each one was just right! I HIGHLY recommend this winery! We've been buying Edna Wine from the grocery stores for many years as they're large batch products are wonderful! So you can imagine how much better their small batch wines are!! Love Love Love it!!

Picturesque views from the large vineyard front windows, clouds settling over the hilltops after the rain. View wise, I'd love to come here again for a glass and to enjoy the scenery. The inside of the tasting room is elegant and modern I opted for the Heritage Flight which included a pairing... great choice. (Writing my review as I taste... because I always feel I miss an opportunity to share my uneducated palate!) My favorite pairing was the Fleur de Edna Chardonnay with Midnight Moon (Goat cheese/Gouda I believe). Went home with both! The Heritage Chardonnay definitely had a strong hint of caramel to it that caught my attention. I would say in a unique fashion, as when people describe wines, my palate doesn't tend to pick up such things... this one was quite noticeable. This one was paired with a Parmesan. While the Reserve Chardonnay paired with the honey chèvre was nice... it wasn't my top pick. I think for this one I almost prefer it without the cheese because of the butteriness nature left mildly sneaking in. The Pinot was paired with a sheep's milk cheese that brought out a nice combination... though I couldn't describe the notes or flavors. My final pairing was the reserve Pinot with a sheep/Gouda (Ewephoria)... this was a very tempting pairing to purchase, but being a single wine drinker home... my purchases must have limits. ;-) There wasn't a pairing that I didn't enjoy and would love to come back even if just to set up my laptop, soak in the views with a glass and a bit of cheese. So, we've been drinking Edna Valley Vineyards wines for a few years. But we've never been to their vineyard. Partly because every time we tried to make a reservation, they were booked. And partly because we have 4 other winery memberships in that area and felt we'd covered all the wine we needed. And then one lovely day, the wine Gods aligned and we secured a reservation! You can probably tell from my photos that it was a day/time when no one else was there - think, Tuesday at noon. Our guide for our tasting was Cheri - who made our visit into a truly wonderful event! So much so, we joined the Edna Valley Vineyards family - YAY us! The tasting room is quite elegant, but we were able to sit outside to enjoy the gorgeous view, peaceful setting, and chirping birds. It's magical. What I really want to share is that, although we LOVED those Edna Valley Vineyard wines we'd been picking up at the grocery store - the wines here at the vineyard are SPECTACULAR!!! I mean - 5 stars in taste, scent, appearance, deliciousness, etc. We were so pleasantly surprised! These are magnificent wines. Period. Cheri explained how their winemaker has a unique process and, voilà!, these incredible wines are created. And, yes, I encourage YOU to visit and try them for yourself. We can't wait to return ourselves! Hello, Pick-up Party!

The wine was delicious and the setting was superb. when you walk in you feel like you are at a five star hotel lobby. The outdoor area is so beautiful and the view overlooking the vineyards is gorgeous.

Edna Valley is a real hidden gem. Located just outside Arroyo Grande and south of San Luis Obispo. Edna Valley grows chardonnay, zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon and pinot noir just to name some of the top varietals that do so well in this climate. We've been visiting this area for the last few years and try to taste at a different winery each time plus visit favorites. Theres at least a dozen wineries in this little valley. Edna Valley Winery has vinted some very fine wines that I purchase regularly in my home town of Temecula. I'm very fond of thier Cabranet sauvignon and Pinot noir. When we arrived tastings were by appointment only and we weren't able to get one. So we decided to have a glass and enjoy the patio and the beautiful grounds. My wife had the chardonnay and I had the Pinot noir. Both were delightful! It was a beautiful day at Edna Valley Winery and didnt want to leave. If you haven't tried thier wines you must! Cheers!

I can't even begin to describe the amazing time we had here. We met friends from San Fran in Pismo and decided to come out to Edna Valley for a tasting. My husband and I could t stop talking about our experience. The tasting curator (I don't know the right title, but this seems best). I think her name was Jessica. She was amazing and very passionate about wines in general, but most of all the wines from the Edna Valley Winery. The wines are delicious, the views spectacular and the charcuterie board the perfect compliment to it all. I can't wait to come back.

My original opinion of Edna Valley was that it was going to be bit snooty but our server Kenkie quickly changed our minds. We absolutely had the best morning with Kenzie, she is fun and knowledgeable. We started with a very nice Winemaker's Rosé, and Chardonnay. The reds were more to my taste, a fairly full bodied Pinot Noir, a Grenache-Tempranillo blend was my favorite, and a solid Meritage. We sat in the courtyard which had an open area for Dex to run. Edna Valley Vineyard was extremely dog friendly and Dex loved Kenzie.

We visit Edna Valley about once a month and it never disappoints. The best view of all the wineries in the area and so many options of seating. We love the large grass area out back, the front area (as pictured) overlooking the vineyards and looking at the distant hills and we also enjoy the outdoor long fire pit area out side of the members lounge with that same view . Today we sat inside and enjoyed the members lounge area. The large floor to ceiling full wall of windows gives an impressive view from anywhere inside. We had Randy as our server for the first time, not sure how we've missed him in the past, and he was a delight. So friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable, and made our visit one to remember. He was very personable to details, remembered my aunt from prior visits (not with us ) and made sure we knew how special this years Fleur De Lis Chardonnay was to have back as an offering. Can't wait til next month!

Beautiful views with inside and outside seating. They offer a small charcuterie for lunchtime tasting. The service was excellent. We would definitely go again.

Friendly staff. Great views. Cheese and olive oil are to die for. It was such a great experience - I would definitely say the best winery I went to in the area and for a great price. My friends and I were lucky enough to get a seat by the window overlooking the vineyards. The vineyards weren't the freshest at the time I went, but I can only imagine if they were! Our server was extremely friendly, didn't rush us, took their time to explain the wines and the cheese pairings - which I really appreciate during a wine and cheese tasting. ----- HERITAGE FLIGHT: 5/5 pairs each wine tasting with a sliver of cheese and bread with their housemade olive oil

Very disappointed in all the changes. I decided to give the Language of Yes members program a try when Edna Valley changed their marketing program. (I loved the old membership!) My decision was based on how much we enjoyed the ambiance, hanging out there, drinking wine and eating charcuterie. But the experience hasn't been the same. Now they are closing the tasting room (they've already started changing opening times and now require reservations). I really don't like all the Language of Yes offerings and refuse to pay the shipping charges. I will be canceling my membership and now looking for another vineyard to give my money to.

We were hoping to sit outside however it was cold and windy the day we went. However, things couldn't have turned out better because we got to sit by their large window and got to appreciate the beautiful view of their vineyard and the valley while staying warm. Our host, Brent, was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. He made our experience special and wonderful. Edna Valley is a great quick and short getaway from LA. All their wines were wonderful!! Definitely recommend getting the charcuterie board with your flights of wine. All their selection and cheese were **chef's kiss** wonderful. Although, our cholesterol may not agree to that however, it was all worth it and a wonderful delight to our palate! We will be definitely be coming back for more! Hubby and I had a great time. We didn't realize how time passed; we were there for about 3hrs! We were about to try more samples but we already have a planned engagement for the night. Overall, a wonderful experience and great place to spend with your special someone or close friend(s) to sit down, relax and have an engaging conversation. I'd heard great things, but as a local, didn't know if the hype was real. the hype is real. starting with aesthetics, tue tasting room was absolutely stunning with inspiring views of the vineyards. it's perfect---a blend of minimalism with California sophistication. the wines: wow. the reserve Syrah was comparable to a $100 bottle from any vintner in Napa, and is less than half that price. I'd put it up against California's top syrahs. the Chardonnays offer choices...I don't like oak so they have steel casks for a crisp beautiful chard that is fruit forward, crisp and clean. it tastes so good that you could wind up at the bottom of a glass, bottle or even cask (if you have a crew) very quickly. staff was attentive and professional. perfect balance between over attentive and apathetic...just right. one of the highlights of the experience was the tremendously professional, knowledgeable and engaging staff member "Kenzie". She was as polished, kind, had a smile that could light up our small county. she knew the wine and made great recommendations that were right on point. she was tie crowning jewel on this great visit. all in all, this is a must do on the central coast for locals and visitors alike.

Kenzie, in the Tasting Room, is epic. Friendly, funny, and kept her calm when it was very busy. She helped make the day special.

My brother and I visit for 2 reasons... the wine and KENZIE! She is so knowledgeable and makes every visit an experience! Her knowledge of pairings is incredible!!! Edna Valley is very lucky to have her.

What a beautiful winery. The location and amazing landscaping views was breath taking. We had a 3:30 wine tasting paired with cheeses. All the cheeses were delicious pair with each wine, and our hosted was excellent. We would definitely be back in the fall on our vacation getaway.

A dystopian, corporate debacle. Instead of Edna Valley wines they serve swill from Santa Maria accompanied by peppy advertising speak informing you that the winemaker is "iconic" and yet the wines are only "half the experience" (!!), the other half is "ambiance" and "service." If you've been going to this beloved winery for decades, beware. The Language of Yes means your affirmation of the takeover is compulsory. Edna Valley RIP.

Really cute winery in SLO. Close to downtown, beautiful gardens and indoor/outdoor seating areas, and good wines. We got an outdoor tasting and were seated in the back patio. It was a hot afternoon but they had good shade. They also have indoor seating options which overlook the vineyard (while you are in air conditioning) and a members only area. We enjoyed the outdoor area since it had a nice lawn and overlooked part of the vineyards. The tasting was good - I enjoyed the whites and the pinot. They also served the whites separately to ensure the temperature stayed ideal. The servers were really friendly as well. The tasting portions were a good size and felt worth the price of $25. Being a regular visitor to wine country, I'd say Edna Valley wineries have a charm of their own. Definitely recommend visiting this vineyard if you are in SLO or the Central Coast area.

It was an amazing experience as I'm not a fan of wines, but Edna Valley has an amazing view and cute outdoor patios that my friends and I've enjoyed so much. Service was excellent also.

What a delightful vineyard! Have been to others and this one is not pretentious and treats every patron like they're special! Had made a reservation here since I drink their Pinot Noir on a regular basis. The reservation was just for me and while I reserved an outdoor spot they offered me an indoor table due to the weather. Had the Red V Blend and us a very smooth wine. Had it with a tray of warm bread and olive oil snd really enjoyed the wine. Also pot yo taste the Pinot Noir snd it didn't taste like what I buy from BevMo...it was much fruitier and smoother!! Loved the service and the wine do much that I joined! Can't wait to come back and bring my partner next time...I know he'll enjoy it as well!

We made reservations a couple of weeks ahead for Sunday at 1:30pm. Very relaxing place with a nice view. We did the wine tasting outdoors. Plenty of seating. I don't believe we can be in food since they serve charcuterie board. $25 for tasting of 6 wines. None of the wines really wowed us. But we loved the view here. Our waitress was slow at pouring too...nice indoor tasting area too. They also sell cheese and other items.

This winery was very beautiful and had great indoor and outdoor atmosphere. Our server was so kind and we even got to share personal bits about our lives. The wine was great along with the cheese pairings. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back here!!

Hi, Edna Valley, My name is Edna too. Bought your wine in Estero, FL. but unfortunately, could only find Chardonnay, which was so delicious with it's subtle flavors. Only two stores for your wine are listed in my area and one didn't carry it. that was Sprout's. I did find only two bottles at Total Wines. Is there any way you can have these stores carry more of your fabulous wines. I would like the reds too. Here's hoping you can get to more distributors in the future. Thanks for my namesake. Came here as a part of my 2 year anniversary trip. The wine was amazing, but Sam was the highlight of the experience. He was knowledgable, extremely friendly, and had us laughing the whole time. We checked out a few wineries/vineyards before and I must say, Sam made all the difference. The wines were delicious, the view was stunning, and overall a great time.

My family and I spent a lovely afternoon at your vineyard. Sophia our wine tasting steward was very friendly and informative about the wines as well as local adventures and activities. Best day!!!! I'm so sorry

What a Postcard picture of a setting this is... A plant trial show at a vineyard! Unfortunately no time to sample the wine. This stop is a hall to get to but is worth it. Dumen does a nice job of showing their products. But some one needs to tell Zoltan to slow down... he went through his presentation like lighting! I couldn't keep up! They have found ways to reintroduce items in new forms that get the mind clicking! The dianthus combos are really nice! The new callas breeding is looking very promising... especially the more compact more flowers types. The people are great... Zoltan, Jeff, DR Kate, Andrew and Perry always do a nice job.

Well... this was our stop half way to Santa Monica from Bay Area. We had a reservation @1:30pm but we arrived 15 minutes early. The place has not much to offer for scenery to begin with and the patio area was locked for workers to have lunch. I understand they want to make a good environment for workers, but that's really the only place to 'hang out'. We were asked to stay inside until 1:30pm. We got the vintage tasting package and were not able to seat on the lawn. Just the other side of the building. Which was a bit weird that they were so inflexible about it. Also, there is an airport nearby so you have planes landing o we your head which is pretty loud. The Alex (gentleman who helped us to our wine) and reserve Cab pulling this review from one star to three stars

One of the best winery experiences to date! We got in a little early Sunday and had the tasting room to ourselves for a bit. Cheri was FANTASTIC. She made our experience personable and had so much insight in regards to our tasting. We were celebrating our engagement and she was so kind and felt like she shared our excitement. I plan on coming back in a couple weeks! 10/10 recommend. We went with the heritage flight so we paired wine with various cheeses and everything was amazing. The tasting room was clean, ambience was classy and quiet, and very modern. Thank you Cheri for a great experience at Edna!

We visited Edna Valley for the first time today. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate. Our server Bryant was great. I was surprised how much I loved the Chardonnay in the flight offered today. The Meritage was great too. Of course the Pinot girl in me took a Pinot home! I only gave 4 stars cause I wish I could of bought the Chardonnay but it was for wine club members only. I'll definitely be back.

Great charcuterie board if you need a snack, beautiful outdoor space and great team of staff. Love visiting while in town. Definitely recommend.

This place was just fantastic! First time here and was just amazed how the staff was, especially Randy our server for the day. Wine was very nice. we ordered the charcuterie board and cheeses. Highly recommend this place, we had the 12:00 reservation and feel it was the perfect time to have the place to your own kinda. Thank you staff!
