Ed's Tavern Dilworth

This a great place to get solid American bar food. Wings were incredible. The Sweet chili Thai flavor was on point. Chicken sandwich was ok. Sweet patato fries and onion rings were both some of the best I've had in Charlotte. I was very happy with the food. This would be a great place to come enjoy good food and watch the game.

Buddy and I popped in Friday night for something to eat. Ed's was busy so we struggled to find a place to park but inside we found plenty of open tables with lots of TV's to watch games on. Good atmosphere. You pick out your own seat so had to flag down a server. Once we got her attention, she was great. Instead of ordering meals we ordered wings and two of the dips (buffalo chicken and spinach artichoke). The apps were tasty and we enjoyed our visit. The next day we wanted to grab a quick lunch and watch some of the early football games so we actually went back to Ed's. Again, parking lot was packed and had to park next door at Food Lion, but was able to get a table no problem. Ordered the appetizer sampler which had five of the appetizers included and ordered some of the chicken bites with a sweat Tai sauce. Again, food was really good and we had great service. Didn't get the servers name so wish they would have told us so we could give them a shout out. Ed's is a great place to go watch games. Had four different college games on when we were there and lots of fans cheering when their team did something positive. Great place to hang out and neither of drink alcohol.

I love everything I have eaten at Ed's Tavern. A lot of typical bar food except it is all really good. The spinach artichoke is the best I have ever had anywhere w/ warm pita chips!! Oh and the pimp dip & buffalo dip is awesome too! Philly cheese steak, buffalo chicken, burgers, wings ... all good. I've made myself hungry. I'm headed to Ed's Tavern.

My coworkers and I love coming here for lunch—it’s super convenient with plenty of parking in the back, large patio with fans, and the service is always quick. Love this place. Tons of tvs. Great drink specials, check website for daily deals. Their soda is really good! And beer prices are low for Charlotte standards. Great prices! We also order chicken tender meal. Ranch, honey muster all good! Parking is little difficult, we came late at night. I’m not sure where you can park at. We found spot out front.

The bacon cheeseburger was very damn good at medium well!! I had wanted to go healthy on the side dish and chose spinach as my side dish. It was seasoned well. Be aware is a sports bar so you going to hear people yell. But it's on good fun.

Been meaning to go here for a while and it did not disappoint, one of the nicer patios / vibes in this area. $3 tacos are a steal for their size and quality. Weekly trivia on offer as well as super fast WiFi.

Drink selection is good, including NA options. the chicken wings & food quality is solid, but could be better... great location & bar, back patio is very legit.

We come to Ed's very often to watch games. Today it was advertised that they would have the game and when we called to confirm they told us they had the game. When we got here they said they cannot change the bar audio from the music and said the games would be on some of the TV's around the restaurant. The game is on two TV's, they are one spot away from each other, in the corner of the bar. This is pretty poor misrepresentation from management and we likely will not be back.

Good sports bar atmosphere, waiters can be a bit in a rush at times nothing terrible. I think they have some good wings though I was disgusted with the Cajun flavor rub. It was a weird texture and it tasted burnt, not sure what was going on but would not get again. The Nashville flavor on the other hand...AMAZING! Only going to get that flavor from here on out. Fries were good. Would definitely recommend anyone to try.

Good food, casual location, and friendly staff. Nothing amazing but everything is good. We especially like their salads that are generous in size and always good.

Food was a k the sandwich I had was avocado and turkey and bacon I n Texas toast. It was just regular bread but the waffle fries sweet potato was good. Not worth $16 With drink tho - the most interesting thing was the music and the show behind the bar wink wink

It was my first time at Ed's. It has a nice sports bar vibe with a big outdoor seating deck. You have a waiter but have to get your own water. The food is good but the waitress messed our order up. Once we spoke up, they were happy to correct. We will be back for wings and football in the fall.

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our time at Ed's Tavern. While the tavern style food was good, TVs displayed the games, and the general aesthetic; our service was lackluster. After remarkably slow service, we had a minor issue with our bill conflicting what we ordered. Our server wasn't empowered to fix it, instead disrespecting our party. Then the promised manager only sent our server back out whom we were unhappy with only to continue the experience. While slow, an otherwise pleasant but slow experience was ruined by poor personalities and management. I hope this changes for future guests or it could ruin a great local spot.

Ed's!! I've come multiple times now for various music bingo and trivia nights, game days, and just to hang out! We love the wings, nachos, and tots. Great sandwiches too. Service has been hit or miss depending on the night as it can become a full house. Overall a great neighborhood bar!

I had a great time at Ed's Tavern. We stopped by on Wednesday to check out the music bingo. There was plenty of seating but I'd advise getting there 30min early to grab a spot to sit if you have a big party. The music bingo was fun but took forever! They should shorten the songs because it made each round last super long. Each round was a different genre. There were two rounds, but it probably could have been 3 if the songs were shorter. Make sure your phone is charged...the game is played on it! They have tons of seating indoor and outdoor. Lots of TVs too, it would be a great place to watch panthers or cltfc games. The parking lot was packed so it may take a minute to find a spot. You may have to stake one out.

i want to start off this review by saying the ambience is great here. if you like a classic sports bar with good music then this is your place. However, if you also like mid food and bad service, then this is DEFINITELY your place. Tori was our server, and i do not think i've ever experienced more bland or rude service in my life. it felt like it was an inconvenience for her to serve us the whole time. will probably be back during to the great atmosphere but if we get tori as our server again we might have to skedaddle.

Loved the atmosphere of Ed's! We are outside and the weather was perfect! Our food and service was very good. This would be a place you could come and hang out for a while. Side note: the bathrooms were way nicer than I was expecting!

If you're looking for a place to enjoy Sunday football, you should try Ed's Tavern. There is the option to dine inside or out. The outdoors area is really cute and offers you many tv's for view. Same as inside, tv's everywhere. And the best part is the this location offers all of the televised games. I ate light with the Turkey Bacon Avocado Smash with Cucumber Salad. The food was served quickly. I love the cucumber salad. The sandwich was okay. I would like to come back and try another entree.

First visit but a very pleasant visit. Autumn at the bar was very nice and took her time to answer all my silly questions about me ordering basic snacks. Loved the patio area even though right now a little too hot for me to sit out there. See you next time

Recently went to Ed's again. Great spot to watch football on Saturdays and Sundays. Arrive early if you want a spot to sit down. People come and go between games but no one really leaves tables during the games. They have all the games on and options to watch inside or outside. Bar service is good. Table service is ok, but again, it is just a sports bar. Food is your typical bar food. Fries are always top notch. Tots were the right amount of crispy. Chicken tenders were not very good yesterday. Dry without a lot of meet. Cheesesteak egg rolls were good but the side of lettuce was a bit odd. Overall, a great spot to go to watch sports !

Sabrina was the best server. Super busy, but never missed a beat. Food is awesome, and great service

Ed's is a casual fun hangout spot for friends. Good bar food love their quesadilla but yesterday I opted for the strawberry salad with chicken it's pretty yummy! We went to Ed's for music bingo (every Wednesday) which is super fun but yesterday it felt very dragged out, it took forever for the host to switch the song to the point we ended up leaving because we thought it was never going to end. Hopefully they can pick up the pace next time!

Ed's has been and will always be a Charlotte staple. From the wings to the weekend mimosa towers, they're a must. The drinks specials are always popping and the prices are kind to your wallet. They've got trivia night on Thursdays if you want to test your knowledge while knocking back a beer. They are also plenty of tvs to catch up with the latest games. The service is great and efficient. You can't go wrong with any of the food options but the salads and wings are my fave.

Ed's is a staple bar to catch a game - good bar food & sports bar atmosphere. You can usually get a good deal on a bucket of beers.

Come for the mimosa towers ($45), safe social distancing (they are on top of it!), tv sports, and fun atmosphere! The food is nothing special but the service is very good. I ordered the quesadilla with steak and it was disappointing. They use the Philly cheese steak meat so it doesn't taste like a Tex Mex quesadilla. The Pico de Gallo looking garnish is just chopped tomatoes and lettuce. Whomp whomp

Kind staff. Everyone makes you feel welcomed. I went for the mimosa tower and split between 3 people, you'll leave a little buzzed. The best part was the food. I got the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. They also had ranch and honey mustard which was very good. Definitely recommend

Been here one time and had a good experience. The food is bar food (burgers, wings, etc) and it was pretty good. Had the mac-n-cheese burger and fries which wasn't bad. But you can feel the grease...which was a good thing that day. On another day, it may not have been desired. Parking was not an issue - parking lot in front and back. Was a little empty when I went for lunch one day, but it was the middle of the day. Would recommend trying it out.

Great food and great spot to catch a game, but absolutely horrible service. Sat and waited for 20 minutes and didn't even hello. Won't be back sadly

False advertisement. That is just the worst. So sleazy. They advertise at the Charlotte checkers game that you get a free appetizer for a certain goal which was made. It was announced several times. Get that name out there. I came here thinking great, we can order 4 and get 2 free. Order a bunch of drinks etc. When we asked how to redeem the tickets for the free apps, the waitress says "the manager told me to say this when someone asks. You need to order 2 entrees to be able to get the free app. 2 entrees per free app". Man, that's just shitty advertising. I am only writing this on the principle of your "word". Hope the owner finds out about the horrible manager they have. Never coming back over $50 lol.

I have come to Ed's probably 4-5 times. I love the atmosphere but the service is always.so.horrible. One time I waited 35 minutes before I even saw my server to ask for the check. But the patio is pet friendly, drinks are strong and food is yummy. Always order at the bar and you'll be good!

A nice and clean place to get together with friends and have fun! Went on a Wednesday evening to hang out with some friends and play some Music Bingo. It was a lot of fun. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. I ordered a couple of drinks and the fried pickles. They were some of the best fried pickles I have had. I will definitely be a patron again and would recommend this place to my friends. The staff was really friendly.

Great sports environment, but the food was terrible in my opinion. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, and it was extremely distasteful. The bread was overcooked, and tasteless. There was too many onions in which I did not ask for, as well as not enough meat. The waitress was OK, never mention her name, so I don't know her name, but she had blonde hair, she also never asked us how was the food, at the end of our service, or I would've let it be known that we were displeased. My husband ordered a simple Tito's with Red Bull, and the bartender with all the tats and dark hair decided that he should mix the drink himself by sending out the Red Bull and the drink on its own to mix/pour himself. That was in fact terrible customer service. For that, we will never be returning to this establishment.. . Lastly, the tall African american security guard was really the only one that had a great impression on the bar with his kindness and professionalism.

I've been driving by for a few weeks now & finally decided to stop in. I ordered the Breakfast Burger & sweet potato waffle fries!! The burger was AMAZING! I didn't expect it to be as big as it was. The sweet potato fries were okay. I'd cisot again for sure.

Ed's Tavern is truly an underground gem! First, there's parking! FREE parking. A rarity in Charlotte. The mimosa towers are *chef's kiss* for sure will elevate any brunch experience and are super affordable! We shared Buffalo dip and fried pickles. Delicious!!! I had the philly steak quesadilla and I'm still thinking about her four days later!! I added extra cheese and the steak was cooked to perfection! Melt in your mouth good. I forgot to take pics but I definitely recommend. The ranch isn't as seasoned as I like and the fries could also use some seasoning. Everyone in my group had a great meal! The patio is gorgeous. Wait staff friendly and attentive. I also had a vodka red bull lemonade drink and that was great. I give it 4.5 stars. If they seasoned up them fries, would be 5 stars for sure! I will be back!

We came here for a happy hour yesterday since it's one of the few places in the area we haven't been. It's a pretty standard bar. They have a large variety of beer. There's a lot of local and a lot of non-local too. The food was fairly standard bar food. I tried some of the fries and zucchini fries. The regular fries were really good. The zucchini fries were kind of mushy. You get half off an appetizer if you check in on Yelp. I wasn't impressed with the service. I had to ask multiple times to get a water. A waiter or a manger was really pushy about trying to get us to get a mimosa tower (on a Thursday right after work no less). When we wouldn't get one, they asked if we were going to stay long acting like they wanted us to leave. If it weren't for the service, I would come back, but I was pretty turned off by their service.

Favorite bar in town. My go to. It does get real busy and sometimes service can lack every now and again but they're doing their best. Servers are all super friendly. Atmosphere ranges from exciting to chill depending on when you're going. Plenty of space from indoor to outdoor dining. Plenty of staple beers to choose from and food is like a warm hug. If I need something comforting, this is my spot

A solid neighborhood bar with plenty of TVs to watch sports and a great back patio to enjoy drinks on a nice day. My friends and I like to come in on Sundays to watch football, and on Thursday nights to try our hands at trivia. The food for the most part is what you would expect for bar food so it is best to stick to the basics when ordering. I really enjoy their wings and their buffalo chicken dip. The service is always great and the servers are very friendly. Overall if you are looking for a place that can become a regular hang out for you and your friends give this place a try!

Ed's has been a go to spot for Panthers games this year, and all I can say it is a great spot for Sunday football. Not only do they have plenty of TV's, I love the set up of the tables. Pretty much anywhere you seat, bar, high table or booth you are in a prime spot for seeing a game. And, when I say game it is because they have several on different TV's. The Bloody's Mary's are a perfect start to the day and on to their large selection of beers, tab, bottle and even can special. I have had a few food items, pimento cheese dip, chicken fingers, wings and some eggrolls. Everything has always been on point and the service has as well. With the new/updated patio coming I am looking forward to more times at Ed's.

Went on a Friday around 6pm or so. When we walked in they had no hostess or no sign saying please seat yourself. Stood there for about 2 or 3 mins (with 2 or 3 people working who I know saw us walk in). We were ignored and had to take into our own hands to just sit somewhere and then go find someone to give us menus and assign a waitress to us. Honestly I wanted to walk out. The place has sports bar vibes, pool tables, tvs, drink specials, and lots of outdoor seating. The menu was your normal bar food burgers, wings, philly cheesesteak etc. Fried pickles for an appetizer were hot and fresh. Went with the mac and cheese burger and fries. The food came out in about 10 mins or so. It was a good burger nothing spectacular. Not sure if I would come back maybe if I was trying to watch a game and drink.

My boyfriend and I love eating at sports bars in the Charlotte area and we chose Ed's Tavern tonight! The atmosphere and noise level at 6pm on a Friday was great. We ordered a Mango Bango and a Sam Adam's draft Ale for drinks. For an appetizer we chose the chicken fingers and fries, and for our entrees we got a burger with Mac and cheese and the chicken nachos. Everything was delicious! My favorite was the chicken fingers dipped in their honey mustard or ranch sauce! Great service too. We will definitely be returning.

Hard to beat the outdoor ambience for a sports bar. Nice large outdoor patio as well as a covered, open-air bar seating area with rolling garage doors. The beer is moderately priced and the bar food (wings, burgers, etc) are all good. I will say the service always leaves something to be desired. They're always packed and busy, but probably need to staff better since that's the case. As far as COVID precautions, also pretty lacking. Our waitress was wearing a mask not covering her nose, and if you had a question about something on the menu, she would get down close to look at the menu and pull her mask down for some reason. Will always end up going back because the patio is top-10 in Charlotte, but would suggest waiting until things are "safer".

Ed's is a great spot to catch a game. They have large TVs both inside and outside. The food variety is great too! The wings are great!

The Mamosa tower is absolutely amazing. It had the perfect amount of champagne and orange juice. We also had the chicken nachos and the Buffalo chicken dip which the Buffalo chicken dip is a different type of buffalo chicken dip however it is very very good. The service is kind of slow but will definitely be back for the Mimosa tower

Really well priced, good food. The service during COVID could be better however, cheese on fries wasn't melted and this was after they bought me cheese fries with bacon when i said no pork.

My favorite bar in Charlotte! My boyfriend and I just discovered this place a couple months ago, but quickly became our go to. The service is great, no matter how busy they get. The food is great bar food and the atmosphere is even better. We wish we found this place sooner!!
