The 2019 Eater Awards Winners in 23 Cities | Eater

"A polished, high-impact restaurant that blends barbecue techniques with nuanced curries and Southeast Asian flavors: standout preparations include white curries framing Golden-Mountain–soaked burnt ends, grapefruit- and pickled-shallot–brightened baby back ribs, and a massaman curry that tames the funk of a tender lamb shoulder. The restaurant quickly drew long lines and social buzz, delivering complex, well-balanced dishes in an apparently effortless dining experience." - Eater Staff

Had a wonderful experience dining at Eem Khao. Food was amazing. Love the noodles. The star of the show was the pork belly followed by the fried chicken. We definitely come back and have more of the same and some new dishes too! Food comes out really fast too.

Yum! I like their Schmaltzy rice, Khao Kha Moo (braised pork hock), iced Thai milk tea and the mee klook If you like spicy, please don’t forget to add their crispy spicy oil! They have a really tiny space, pretty crowd, also if you sit beside the windows, it’s so freaking cold because of the wind.

I’ve already tried it, and the food tastes great! It’s a refreshing and unique Thai-Chinese restaurant in this area. Today, I had the Phuket Fish Balls, Nam Prik Pao Chicken, Khao Man Kai, Khao Kha Moo, and Gway Tiew Gai Toon — and they were all absolutely delicious. I was really impressed, and I truly felt the ‘Eem Khao’ spirit. I highly recommend you come and give it a try!

This place is a find! We went for my partner's bday and it was just what we wanted: hearty comfort food that bursts with flavor, incredible and innovative cocktails, friendly service, cool ambiance, and just a great overall vibe. Honestly, this was one of the best meals I've had in recent memory and we can't wait to go back.

Great little spot to meet with friends for dinner. The food was delicious but the menu was a little confusing and even our server seemed unsure of how to answer some of our questions. The restaurant is fairly new and so maybe this is feedback that can help improve the experience. I will for sure be returning in the future!

Had a great early Saturday here! The menu covers a lot of SEA classics and we had a hard time choosing (to narrow it down to 3-4 choices of course..) My favourite dish was Yum Gai Zaab (crispy spicy chicken) followed by a close second Khao Moo Grop (roasted pork) which was perfectly crispy. Drink menu is creative and well executed. I'll be back to try the rest of them. The interior of the restaurant feels like you're being transported to another country, which is always a good feeling. I did find the schmaltzy rice served with the Khao Man Gai to be underwhelming when I was expecting it to be the star of the show. It was missing the glimmer, sheen and deep aromatics I've had in places like SG hawker markets. Overall the dishes were served lukewarm, some might have been better if served hot. Still good though. Despite my critiques, all of which are coming from a place of honesty, I would highly recommend a meal here. This is a great addition to the Hamilton food scene and I will certainly be back.

Eem Khao offers such a wonderful restaurant experience! The menu has clearly been very thoughtfully curated. The subtle flavours of the Crispy Taro Rolls pair very well with the accompanying peanut chili sauce. The Pad Mee Hokkien is so creamy, with chewy noodles. We are also grateful to the wonderful staff, who were kind, attentive, and patient. The restaurant interior is stunning, super vibey!

We ordered the sticky pork ribs, crispy taro rolls, khao man gai (chicken) and the khao moo daeng (pork). The dishes came out in a timely manner and everything tasted really good. We had high hopes because we are big fans of Pintoh and it did not disappoint!! I highly recommend getting few things and sharing. The portion sizes are generous.
