"Perched on the top floor of the former American Embassy and named after its architect Eero Saarinen, this restaurant and cocktail bar features a wrap-around terrace with views of the Oslofjord on one side and the gardens of The Royal Palace on the other. A wood-fired oven is at the heart of the cooking, which is fish-centric and takes a ‘fin-to-gill’ approach, so you might get cod tongue as a snack, then later its belly on the bone, enhanced by the richness of its liver and roe. Everyone is served at once from a tasting menu, and some of the dishes are presented ‘family style’." - Michelin Inspector

Fantastic meal on the top floor of a building overlooking a great view of Oslo. Every dish in the tasting menu was delicious and they served some excellent, well paired wines with each course. Highly recommend!

One of the sunniest and warmest days in Oslo 2025. It was nice to visit Eero where I drank a couple of GT’s one the terrace, ate a Beef tartar and enjoyed the perfect weather with a nice breeze. Personally, I have had better tartar’s however this is about taste, I like when the ingredients speak and a tartar tastes what it is. Eero had a vinaigrette which took over quite a lot but still, it was tasty. Just had the tartar and didn’t try the other dishes. I really enjoyed the smell from the outdoors grill where they cooked food. The service was top notch, really nice and happy staff, very helpful and made you feel very welcome.

I’m not usually the kind of person who writes reviews, and I definitely don’t blindly follow them either. But after the experience we had at Eero, I felt like I genuinely had to leave one. I was visiting my family who live in Norway, and we decided to check out this hidden gem—and wow. From the moment you enter the building, you feel that something special is going on. We took the elevator up and were greeted by the chefs themselves, who warmly welcomed us and pointed us in the right direction. Shortly after, we met the host, who made us feel instantly comfortable and taken care of. We started the evening with drinks at the bar, and I honestly had one of the best spicy margaritas I’ve ever had. The bartenders truly know what they’re doing—despite the place being busy, they kept the energy great and made us feel seen and welcome the entire time. After drinks, we were led to our table for the set menu in the restaurant area. The atmosphere was cozy, with dimmed lighting, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Everything felt thoughtful and effortless. The food, wine, ambiance, and service were all spot on—you can really tell there’s something special happening at Eero. The food deserves its own moment. It was outstanding. I was so impressed that I personally went to the chefs to compliment them and even tried to get the recipe for their duck dish. Then I saw the wood-fired oven, and suddenly those deep, majestic flavors made perfect sense. Truly a chef’s kiss. Our evening was so good that we cancelled a reservation we had elsewhere just to stay longer at Eero and enjoy more drinks at the bar—and that says everything. To the entire Eero team: thank you for an unforgettable evening. I will definitely be back on my next visit, and I already know this has become my family’s go-to place. 10 out of 10.

We were four for dinner, three of us selected the tasting menu, one "a la carte". For the tasting meny , the courses are served from a shared plate, which feels odd when there are sauce and details that may be lost to some of those sharing. The tasting menu was very good but left all feeling hungry at the end of the meal. A la carte was adequate after adding more side plates. Wine tasting menu was sparse. Probably a better place to visit when the outdoor terrace is open ?

Eero is a restaurant with a great promise. The food is good but lacks consistency between what it says on the menu and what you get (explains the three stars for food). As a sample, summer berries should have been summer berry (as in strawberry), and Oatcake ended as three biscuits. It's a nice sharing menu concept with a great view over parts of Oslo city. The three stars for services are because of the time it took to get attention and the fact that they do not sell coffee (you can get a Martini Expresso). Will I go there again? I hope so as the food is good and the atmosphere is only going to build as the peak of summer comes. For those that do not know, it is in the old embassy build that hosted the USA, worth checking out for that alone.

Dining at restaurant Eero was a wonderful experience. The seven-course tasting menu is a flavour experience far beyond anything I’ve tried in Oslo. Service was knowledgeable, attentive and made us feel relaxed and welcome. The highlight? The food! Everything was delicious, the bread course, croquettes and the dessert was to die for. Each course was paired with a carefully chosen wine that elevated the flavors, amongst my favourites Meursault from Patrick Javillier and the Dom Perignon 2006…. 💫

We tried the bar because the main restaurant was closed. The atmosphere was relaxing and chic. The food was worthy of a second visit. We had the tempura broccolini. It was grilled and then deep fried in a very light batter. Crunchy and tasty. The beef tartare with crispy onion was different but tasty. The mackerel in a simple lemon butter sauce was also great.

Was looking forward to this. But several of the courses was disappointing. I could eat the whole pork dish it was so dry. Before I could tell the waiters they had removed it and disappeared. Some dishes was good but overall it was not a great experience sadly.
