Egg Drip - Review - East Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The drip here is palpable, and we’re not talking about the eggs (they’re mostly scrambled). These sizable sandwiches from the Egg Drip food truck have so much swagger, they can (and do) star in photos all around Nashville. The Oh My Gogi is a best seller for a reason, with chopped beef bulgogi and kimchi topped off with drizzles of kimchi mayo and house aioli. The fermented cabbage provides some needed relief when the eggs and cheese are so hearty. It’s a hard choice between that and the thickly sliced ube french toast sandwiching traditional BEC fixings, a hash brown patty, and miso maple syrup, so we say get both." - Ann Walczak

Quite honestly this is the best thing I’ve eaten all year! Wow! I ordered the BEC and the truffle hash browns and both were just - dreamy. Even down to the amazing “packaging” that made the sandwich easier to eat without a mess. Beyond thrilled this place is in my neighborhood. So good cannot recommend highly enough . Go hungry!

Google
Incredible flavor and great experience! I love breakfast sandwiches and this was a top sandwich ever. Great flavors, quality ingredients and filling breakfast option. Definitely try them!

Google
One of the best hidden gems in town. The food is amazing. If you don't know what to try, get the Ube-bee it's the perfect cross of sweet and savory. The food is cooked to order, so everything will always be fresh. You definitely want to try their Truffle Hash Browns as well!

Google
I’m not a breakfast person but my boyfriend wanted to try Egg Drip. I’m so glad we came!! Every bite taste so good. We got the “Playin Dirty, UBE-BEE (which is purple), oh my gogi, Eggy Tots, and Truffle Hash Browns”. The total came up to about $62 but I’ll gladly pay it again. Customer service was great! This place is a 10/10

Google
Absolutely delicious. We ordered two different sandwiches, but got the same one. I was slightly disappointed, but it was so good that I’ll probably come back anyways to try the other one I originally ordered.

Google
May be a little wait but worth it! Got the ube French Toast sandwich and demolished it. Bread was sweet but not too sweet and eggs were perfect. Actually was mad because I should’ve ordered two. Will definitely be back when I’m in town again

Google
Our 7 year old says to give a thousand stars, because she loved her pork belly+egg sandwich so much. Our other daughter destroyed the tots which were perfectly crisp and delicious. The truffle tots were amazing too. My beef bulgogi sandwich was the perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and tangy, and that bread is the most delicate, wonderfully toasted bread I have ever eaten. We will be back. Of all we got and shared bites of, we all loved each item we got.

Google
Absolutely lives up to the hype!! It was SO good and well worth the 45 min drive. I got the Oh My Gogi...10/10 My fiance got the Ube-bee and loved it! Will def be back to try others!

Yelp
Food is so delicious!!! Can be hard I find, but once you do! Every bite is worth it! The last time I had this cuisine was in Atlanta, it was delicious. I was excited they have a location that is serving the same cuisine here! In my humblest opinion, this sandwich blew ATL at the water! 10/10 recommend! Forgot to take pics to savor the moment. Will include for next time! Recommendations: the Ube French toast- maybe add some more syrup if you like it super sweet, but the nice subtle sweetness with the meats, egg and cheese was enough for me! 100/10 recommend bulgogi sandwich!

Yelp
Wow! I've never had a breakfast sandwich quite like this ... and it's safe to say that I'll be comparing all future breakfast sandwiches to Egg Drip. I'd seen this popular, Korean-inspired pop-up all over Instagram, and witnessed the long lines they draw firsthand last fall at the Richland Park Farmers Market. Let me echo the other reviewers and say that Egg Drip absolutely lives up to the hype. I placed an order for two sandwiches via Uber Eats on a Sunday for brunch, and was thrilled to have our food delivered hot and fresh in less than 25 minutes. I went with their seasonal Ube-Bee, which is the perfect mix of sweet and salty. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crispy, the hash brown was well-seasoned, and the ube French toast was colorful and fun. Who doesn't love a purple sandwich? The miso maple syrup really brought all of the flavors together, and my only critique was that I didn't order an extra side of that for dipping. I ordered the H.E.C. (add bacon) for my husband, and he devoured every last crumb. It's safe to say that we have a new favorite breakfast sandwich spot!

Yelp
Checked them out while they were at the Richland Farmers Market. Although the line was consistent the service was fast and the food was hot. Although we wert outside and it was super cold out the food was nice and warm. The only downfall was that the egg and sandwich was hot but the avocado and kimchi were super cold. So the opposing two was a downfall.

Yelp
Listen Egg Drip comes through dripping EVERY TIME!! Listen, if you want a good slap ya mama breakfast sandwich...look no further! This Korean style twist on breakfast is unreal. First heard about this place from IG. Went to the farmers market on Charlotte and tried it. I was hooked the first visit after biting into the "Oh my Gogi" sandwich. Well let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if they know me by name and order by now. I went yesterday to the farmers market to grab a Sando. Pulled up Today (sunday) behind Buds and Brews in a food truck off of Woodland St and decided to change up my usual. I ordered the Ubé. Mannnnn!!! I don't think I can go back to my go to after that. The fact the bread is my favorite color, purple, is enough to get me hooked. Once you take that first bite, there is NO turning back. Either eat it ALL or eat none of it. Nothing else to read here. Go get your drip on. Listen if your shirt ends up wearing the sandwich too, no judgement.

Yelp
We actually tried them at a comedy event and i am so glad we did because they were amazing!!! It was such a good sandwich, the service was great. We definitely plan to visit their actual store location!!
google avatar

Yelp
De-licious! I had the bulgogi and it was sweet and packed with flavor. The bread was big and beautiful. It's a bit expensive for my taste but honestly, the flavor is so powerful that it might actually be worth it. I'll be back to try the famous ube (Japanese sweet potato) infused bread one soon

Yelp
Was getting ready to leave town and was in search of something small. After reading such amazing reviews from fellow Yelpers we decided to give it a try. Do not sleep on this little green trailer tucked away behind another restaurant. There was street parking available near by if there isn't any available there is a paid parking lot near by. The lady at the counter was extremely sweet and friendly. After ordering they call your name and hand you a cute little bag with your eggcellant sandwiches. I decided on 2 different sandwich for the hubby and I to try. First was the O My Gogi Featuring beef bulgogi, eggs, cheese, chopped kimchi, house aioli and a kimchi mayo. All of the toppings were light as to not overpower the flavor of the meat. The eggs were light and fluffy, the bread was toasted perfectly light and was buttery and soft. The meat was tender and juicy and had a umami yet sweet flavor. Honestly the meat/egg best sandwich I've ever had. Second sandwich was the Yuzu Egg Salad Which was egg salad featuring yuzu kosho, chives, house aioli. It's like an elevated homemade egg salad. The eggs weren't rubbery and the bread was lightly toasted and soft but didn't make the egg salad warm. If you've ever had Japanese egg salad this is a good comparison. I wish this place was close to home as I would be there everyday. Give them a try you won't regret it.

Yelp
Absolutely OBSESSED with this now. I have been wanting to try these out for a while and they definitely lived up to the hype I saw online. I highly recommend. This is great as a breakfast or lunch. The bread is so good and the eggs are so fluffy. I got the classic which had cheese and ham and spicy ketchup I will be back for sure.

Tay J.

Yelp
The pork belly with the special ube bread was sooo good tender and eggs so fluffy!!!! Service was quick and they had DoorDash orders coming in left and right. In the summer time this would be perfect to grab food and have drinks right behind at the bar.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for years. Finally decided to head on over. I went to the Richland farmer's market for this and they were very easy to find. The food came out quickly and they also provided bags which was convenient. The classic: 4.5/5. Suuuuper tasty. The sweet ketchup pairs well. A classic American breakfast sandwich with a Korean twist. Truffle-holic: 4/5. Also really good. I was looking for more truffle flavor, especially with the name, but it came through. If you like subtle truffle flavor, then this is perfect for you. The avocados weren't quite ripe either and I think a little salt on them would've helped as well. Overall, this place definitely met my expectations! I will be back to try their other sandwiches for sure.

Yelp
Can't say enough how this is the best breakfast sandwich in Nashville. Love love love egg drip
google avatar

Selena L.

Yelp
EggDrip in Nashville is a must-visit! The owners are super friendly, and the food is unlike anything I've had in the South. We tried the Bulgogi Bowl, The OG, Playin' Dirty, and Oh My Gogi. Everything was packed with flavor, featuring soft, pillowy Japanese milk bread that pulls it all together. The unique sweet, savory, and spicy combinations make it stand out. I'll definitely stop by every time I'm in town!

Yelp
Came here on 2/3/24. This pop up place is located in on Bongo Java coffee shop for now. Had outside seatings which was great. You order and pick up your food when they call your name. The sandwiches were decent. The eggs are super soft and fluffy but flavorless. It was fine because the sauce and cheese carried the flavor. Playin dirty sandwich was stuffed and so were the truffleholic. One thing that could've been better was spreading the toppings through the whole sandwich. The avocados and cabbages were on top and that was it. Gave it a 4/5 because I'm not sure if it's worth the price.

Yelp
Hey!!! Happy new year to yall. I stopped by egg drip, which was located behinds buds and brews. It's a food truck and doesn't have any seating or free parking so keep that in mind. Now let's get to the review! First I want to say that the service was fast and friendly. The lady was super cool and answered all the questions I had. The wait wasn't bad at all. I got 2 sandwiches. The Ube-bee and playing dirty! Let me say that both of these hit the spot. The playing dirty was pork belly and I don't usually eat pork belly but damn it was tasty as hell. The slaw that was added made it a perfect combo. The Uber-bee is French toast with bacon and hash brown. Not a French toast fan but I would recommend if you are. The price for these items were a lil pricey but well worth the experience of the food. Stop and try them!!!

Yelp
We had a gift card while in town and decided to grab breakfast from here along with some coffee, I wasn't expecting this to be the BEST breakfast sandwich i've ever had. The packaging is so cute too! I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Egg Drip is a pop up. We love getting Egg Drip sandwiches at the Richland Park Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. It's a unique find in Nashville-- Korean inspired breakfast sandwiches. The flavors are very unique. Our favorites are the Oh My Gogi with beef bulgogi and kimchi and the Truffle-holic with truffle oil and avocado. The griddled, fluffy milk bread really makes the sandwich in my opinion. The sandwiches are made fresh to order too.
google avatar

Harrell B.

Yelp
What an interesting, incredibly fun concept these folks have going here! Korean inspired egg sandwiches, these are great for breakfast or lunch. Just a fabulous comfort food. The service here is very friendly as well. If you haven't tried this already, you need to get on in there!!
google avatar

Clarrisa N.

Yelp
Looking for breakfast and stumbled upon this spot. Signage is weird and appears to be inside a coffee shop when you pull up to address, you are indeed at the right place. You order at the counter and take a seat, either inside or out there is plenty of space. No kid menu available. Refreshers just added to the menu. Food was fresh and tasty and plenty of coffee options. Atmosphere is quiet and restaurant is clean.

Yelp
Wow...new world of Asian fusion sandwich. This is how my husband described it after a first bite "It is like Honey Pig (K-BBQ joint) mixed with Waffle house." Now, can you imagine it? The eggs are so fluffy. The bread is thick, airy, and crunchy outside. It reminds me of Milk Bread. I'd say this is a perfect breakfast sandwich that I can eat everyday. Overall it is phenomenal!

Yelp
Visited Oct 7, 2023. Egg Drip was such a treat as one of the vendors at the 'Celebration of Cultures' event held at Centennial Park. I love how the quality of food & its presentation was not compromised even though it was so busy! I tried other food vendors during the event but no other came close to beating their mouth watering sandwiches. The menu on this day was: *Oh my Gogi *The Classic *Double Trouble (veg option) We had the Classic and wished we came back for round two! Cannot wait to see where they pop up next!
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know how they stuff all that deliciousness in between that buttery bread pocket but they do. We had the bulgogi sandwich along with the rosemary duck fat fried tater tots. Everything was delicious and we will be back the next day they're open. It is a food truck in the 5 points area so parking is funny. It didn't take long to get our food which was fresh and the young lady at the window was nice. I like that the menu is simple and sweet and the did have a special sandwich as well.

Yelp
I LOVE EGG DRIP!!! It's so sad that they're only open for breakfast and lunch but it makes sense based on the fact that it is an egg sandwich place. They used to only have a food truck so I am beyond happy that they're now at Bongo. It's super quick to get a sandwich made: it's in and out in 5 minutes. And let me tell you, these Korean egg sandwiches are where it's at. I've only ever gotten the truffleholic (with no avocado), but my friends have gotten different ones and we loved them all. The eggs are SO fluffy and moist. The milk bread is thick cut, fluffy, and toasted to crispy, buttery perfection. The cheese adds a perfect little burst of flavor, and the truffle aioli is just MAGICAL. It's flavorful and sweet while still being rich and creamy, and paired with the brightness from the sweet ketchup, you get a real heavenly bite. Highly recommend for a breakfast/brunch situation!!

Yelp
Had one of their sandwiches at a food truck event and loved how simple ingredients (egg, cheese, chive, ham) made such a tasty item! A lot of the flavor is definitely in the sauce (mayo based?). Only downside is it is a tad pricey for a moderate-sized sandwich. Otherwise, the sandwich was made really quickly and comes in really cute packaging that makes it easy/less messy to eat.

Todd P.

Yelp
Dude! That egg sandwich was the best ever. You HAVE to try this place. The egg was perfect, the bread was amazing, and the service was great. Seriously, 10/10.
google avatar

Phyllis J.

Yelp
I thought my food was hot and delicious (but they did leave off my added avocado ). Soft scrambled eggs, creamy cheese, delicious bulgogi & aioli with crunchy toast was definitely a match made! You may want to get there early as they ran out of some of the items. The small boxes were cute but I do wish they would have served with a plate. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. It's a coffee shop vibe (inside Bongo Java) in an old house. Very charming. There is also outdoor seating.
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
Oh my goodness this a must try! Stopped by their spot at the Richland Creek Farmers Market ons Saturday morning and it's become a regular stop for me! The classic sandwich is so savory. Prices are reasonable and the food is quickly made to order.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
SO GOOD!! in a truck, i don't think they have store front. my sandwich was delicious and everything i expected. i got it at a moon viewing festival at botanical gardens great service! made quickly
google avatar

Jane P.

Yelp
I'm so glad I was in town to catch this popup nearby. It was so delicious and fluffy and the bread was perfectly toasty and crunchy and just everything you'd want it to be.
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Pretty good breakfast or lunch spot. I had "The Classic" (added bacon). Also had the tater tots. Food was good, but it was a little messy. I ordered no aioli and they forgot to leave it off. Other than that, the food was great. I would return...if I lived in Nashville

Matt B.

Yelp
They're doing a temporary kitchen take over in Bongo Java Belmont for the month of March. This place needs a permanent location. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The pork belly one was better than the truffle one. I'll be back for the bulgogi and other items. I can only describe this as a breakfast grilled cheese on milky cloud heaven with all of the Korean flavor profile and texture you can dream of! Perfection!
google avatar

Yelp
The Egg Drip Richland Park Farmers Market Nashville, TN These egg sandos are scrumptious! The one named Playing Dirty fills all your sando needs! The perfect bread stuffed to the rim with freshly cooked meats and soft scrambled eggs and cheese. Served hot and fresh! Takes about 10 mins but it goes by fast and there are other things to look at and purchase just feet away! Every bite is worth the short wait! The staff are very friendly and very helpful explaining things! We love!
google avatar

Nik L.

Yelp
These Japanese-style breakfast sandwiches are BANGIN!!! (Ngl though, I miss the Bongo Basic off the old Bongo menu, those things got me through college!)
google avatar

Brittan G.

Yelp
A must try! I always catch them at Richland Park farmers market and it is delicious every time! The spam masubi hits the spot but their sandwiches are where they thrive! The classic is incredible! Definitely a bit messy but so worth it!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Delicious! We had the Classic and the "on my gogi," and they were both scrumptious! The egg was light and rich, the meat in each was flavorful, and sauces added dimension without overpowering the egg. The buttered toast was a star on its own, and held up great to the hearty portions of stuffings.

Michele Hartmann T.

Yelp
Excellent sandwiches and great, friendly service! Hopeful they stay around for a long time!

Bethany T.

Yelp
The food is amazing. We've been to Egg Drop in Korea and we like this one just as much (maybe more ). The truffle one is amazing and their sweet ketchup is delicious! I'd eat this every morning if I could.
google avatar

Jody C.

Yelp
I saw someone eating one of these sandwiches at the downtown farmers market & was intrigued. So, I ordered one & boy was I impressed! Such great flavors! It doesn't just look good, it IS good! Also quick & friendly service! I've been thinking about this sandwich for weeks after...it was that good!

Sierra C.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible food. Service was super great and efficient. That bread is absolutely to die for, a slight crisp but otherwise so soft. Flavors were superb too. I could eat their sandwiches every day and not get sick of it! Ordered the one with Ham and my 4 year old almost ate the whole thing so I had to order another one and went with the OG, delish. Can't wait to come back and try the other flavors. Hashbrowns were tasty too!

Wan R.

Yelp
I have been a continued customer since they're opening. They have amazing service and some of the best breakfast and which is in town. it's amazing to see some of their special edition meals too! Highly recommend eating here!

Kaylee H.

Yelp
So amazing! I highly recommend, they're fast and everything tastes so good! The workers are amazing and they're so nice!
google avatar

Yelp
Got the drip cup and the classic to try both items taste Great. Will revisit again soon! I recommend following them on IG to get their schedule.

Tabitha B.

Yelp
This is the best sandwich you're ever going to put in your mouth, hands down. They were very prompt in taking my order and I was able to eat my delicious sandwich within just a few minutes! I've never been to their actual location, but I've been to the tent they set up at the Nashville Food Festival so I can't speak on ambiance, but the food was epic enough for me to not really care about my surroundings
