Eggbreak - Review - Notting Hill - London - The Infatuation

"Plot twist: Eggbreak serves a lot of egg based dishes and is a decent spot to take a break in Notting Hill. We know, shocking. This is one of the area’s many casual brunch options, with a menu split into eggs, healthy, buns, and, err, naughty, which translated means they serve everything from shakshuka to pancake stacks. The food can be a little hit and miss but they do a good eggs benedict, it’s a cool and casual space, and always worth keeping in mind if the queue for Farm Girl has started to feel like a bit of a never ending story." - Heidi Lauth Beasley

Fast and kind service and delicious food! A wonderful stop for breakfast during our stay in London. It was so good, we went twice! Order the Turkish eggs, you won't regret it! They were so good I started eating before taking a photo.

Google
Great brunch spot with food that’s actually worth the hype. The wait can be long and the way they handle the queue is a bit chaotic, but once you’re seated, it’s all uphill. Everything we ordered tasted homemade and satisfying. The banana bread was rich and not overly sweet, and the shakshuka had a nice balance of flavour and spice. Portion sizes are generous too. Would definitely come back — just maybe not on a peak weekend without some patience.

Google
This was probably the best meal I had in London! On the higher end for a brunch menu but so worth it compared to other places. Good portion sizes. Get the Turkish eggs!!! We went on a weekday and waited about 5 minutes. There’s seating downstairs too so don’t be too discouraged by a waitlist

Google
Delicious flavourful food and good portion sizes. Attentive helpful and friendly staff. Can't wait to come back and try something different.

Google
Really great food! Love the atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. The drinks could use some work, my partner ordered an iced chai latte and it was just cold milk with chai powder in it and my espresso was not great.

Google
Such a lovely brunch spot with amazing choices. But sad to see they don’t have the salmon fish cake anymore. That’s what we were most anticipating and was told a lot of people miss it. Nathan and sherwan were awesome and very welcoming!

I really enjoyed my food at Eggbreak, the atmosphere is super relaxed. The hostess was lovely and really accommodating, and our server was very helpful. Overall, a great experience, will be going back.

I had the pleasure of being served by Nathan during my recent visit, and I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional service he provided. From the moment we were seated, Nathan greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and an energy that instantly made us feel welcomed and valued. Throughout the entire meal, he was incredibly attentive, checking in just the right amount to ensure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, whether it was a water refill, a recommendation from the menu, or simply checking that everything was to our satisfaction. What really stood out was Nathan’s kindness and professionalism. He treated us with care and respect, and he did so with such grace and ease that it elevated our whole dining experience. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his suggestions turned out to be spot-on. Nathan embodies what true hospitality should look like, genuine, thoughtful, and attentive. He turned a simple breakfast into a memorable experience, and for that, we’re truly grateful. We’ll definitely be returning, and we’ll be asking for Nathan by name!

Yelp
My wife chose this on our way to Portebello Rd. We came shortly after it opened and we did not have to wait as there were no queue (yet). So maybe come early if you want to avoid the queue. Anyways, I like the ambiance and everything felt very homely. I ordered the egg bacon cheese toastie and it was very good. The flat white was enjoyable too. Staff were friendly and the whole place was clean and well kept. I would definitely come back for breakfast and try their other offerings.

Yelp
We were visiting London on a girls trip and Egg Break was on our list for brunch. Here are my thoughts: Location: Very cute! I love that it reminds me of a townhouse or a brownstone. Service: We only waited for about 15 minutes and the service was good, we never waited or had to search for someone to help us. Food: The food was delicious! I wanted to try everything but I had the eggs benedict and my friend had the sandwich (Cant remember the name) Fav thing: The entire experience was great wish we had one in the states. Least fav: I don't really have anything that is the least favorite I would go back if I was in London...

Yelp
Egg Break puts the L in London. I really don't understand the hype around this place. The food looks better than it tastes, and calling the food "mid" would be a compliment. Needless to say, the food is not worth a two-hour wait plus another hour wait for food after ordering. The avocado toast was basic, and the eggs were cold. The toastie looks like it should be amazing, but it's somehow bland and not nearly as melty as it looks like on social media. The bacon on the toastie wasn't crispy, and neither was the toasted lukewarm bread. The tater tots had no salt on them and were basically flavorless. The servers were friendly, and the place is cute. Those are the only bright spots for an overall disappointing meal.

Yelp
This was a lovely spot for breakfast. Essentially in a cute house with seating feeling like you're dining with friends. The food was tasty as well and the service was amazing. Our server was friendly, conversational and attentive. Would definitely go back here for breakfast, but be aware the queue can get long on a weekend morning.

Yelp
Tiny little hole in the wall spot that has delicious breakfast! We were visiting from the USA & as much as we enjoy a pastry on the go-- we truly love our breakfast. Egg Breaks service was fast and efficient and their breakfast was appealing to look at, but even more enjoyable to eat!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was great. The atmosphere is cute, the wait time was short, service was fast and personable, and the food was amazing. It's in a pretty location as well.

Yelp
The ambience and food were to die for and the service was top notch! We had Sherwin as our server and he was attentive and hilarious, but the vibe in the whole place (and amongst the staff) was vibrant. Then we got the food and were blown away! If we were spending more time in London we would go back everyday! Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is seriously such a cute little restaurant with AMAZING food! While it is a little pricy, I definitely think it is worth trying. The eggs benedict and bacon egg cheese toasty were SO yummy! The food went wayyy beyond my expectations and I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Lovely brunch spot in Notting Hill. We had to wait 30 minutes to sit, but it was a great excuse to explore the area. The place and staff had the best vibes! The menu is super creative and accommodating to people with dietary preferences/restrictions. The prices are on the more expensive side. I opted for the fried chicken sandwich, and OMG! My only regret was not getting two of them!

Yelp
Had breakfast at Eggbreak....here are my thoughts: Service is very friendly but food takes forever to come out so be prepared to wait a while. Ambiance is nice...we arrived at 10am and the restaurant was moderately full (no wait). We had a nice table for 2 in the back. When we left at about noon there was a lengthy line to get in so plan for a wait if you come at lunch. Food itself is just okay...the Moroccan Superfood Bowl was missing some ingredients, was visually unappealing, lacked flavor/substance and arrived cold. Banana bread is excellent but very sweet so a few bites were enough. My friend had the eggs benedict which she seemed to like. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Overall Egg Break gets more of a 3.5/5. I doubt I'll return.

Yelp
Love the fact they do unlimited drip coffee. But that's where the praise ends. Very expensive considering the portions. Astounding to me that my 2 friends and I each had an entire at £16 with no sides included. I did the Hot Honey French Toast which was marketed as a yummy sweet/savory slop but it was really just bland slop. My one friend at a sweet potato rosti which was more rosti than sweet potato and my other friend did pancakes which would've been better and cheaper at home. Also disappointed that they ran out of tots among other items and didn't tell us until we started ordering.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a cute little spot not too far from Hyde park that I stumbled upon. I opted for their bowls for breakfast as it was one of the Gluten free options. I was a little disappointed because it wasn't super flavorful and I was surprised by how cold it was. One of the servers was super nice but another one seemed less friendly. It's also weird that you view the menu on an app, order in real life, and then pay on the app again.

Yelp
Really cute brunch / breakfast spot! Super good vibes, delicious menu, and wonderful staff!! The waiter went so far as to recommend multiple things to me when I was confused what to get. I was not looking for a traditional english breakfast so I am glad I went to Egg Break and got something a bit more exciting :D I got a lemon tea also and enjoyed sipping it as well as being able to steep it my self !! You can pay cash or card here so its super tourist friendly !

Yelp
It was okay. But would I come back and was the wait in line worth it? Probably not. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly why it's so famous, as the food was good but not spectacular-tasting to me. We also got seated in the downstairs (apparently they have two areas) which was decorated nicely and all but still I like sitting in areas that have windows and stuff. Came with a friend from my study abroad program for a catch up, and for food got the Eggbreak special of eggs of potato toast with chicken as well. The food tasted pretty good but portion was a bit small (and I'm smol myself).

Yelp
We waited more than two hours to get a seat. They use one of those virtual queue app for getting things organized but you have to be close to the location to join the queue and you'll need to find a place to wait. But where to you even go when you have to wait 2 hours? And even when the app tells us that there's table for us, we still have to wait 15min to be seated.. I mean the staffs really tried to make it as easy as possible for you but honestly it's too long of a wait. And if you think you can go in odd hours so there's not too many people? Nope. They are busy the WHOLE DAY. Ok enough about the wait. The staff is relatively friendly considering they are really busy with all the people. The food is good but just like others say, it's a bit expensive for the amount you get. Spicy honey toast - the honey adds a level of depth to it but it really isn't anything special Avocado toast - just your good o trusty avo toast.

Yelp
Wow. I cannot recommend a place more than Egg Break. You MUST try the cheese toasty, there's no other option when you go your first time. The upstairs space is a little small but there's space downstairs and the menu is full of so many amazing things. I split two dishes with a friend so we could try them both and wow I loved them. I could eat that Cheese Toasty any day. Cannot wait to go back and get it again.

Yelp
Amazing food and wonderful service! Was our first place eating after arriving very jet lagged in the UK and helped us have a great trip!!

Yelp
Very trendy breakfast location in Notting Hill. They do not take reservations and we waited in line in the rain. The food looks better than it tastes. I wanted to love this place because the employees were so nice and the restaurant was very cute. This is why they get 4 stars instead of three.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Portions were great (not sure what other reviewers are talking about). Bottomless drip coffee!

Yelp
10/10 experience did not disappoint. The food options are top tier and the ShakShuka was amazing. Loved the yogurt and quinoa granola as well. Service was even better than the food - shout-out to Emalia (I hope that was her name) for the amazing attentiveness. Great spot for our last breakfast in London

Yelp
If you want delicious iced coffee, pancakes, or avocado toast don't look any further the food was delicious the place was super cute and the staff was friendly. The pancakes were fluffy and the perfect amount of sweet. The avocado toast was full of flavor the best I've had

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were craving for some good brunch and Egg Break seemed like it had stellar reviews, so we decided to give it a try! He ordered shakshuka (£11) and I got french toast (£9.5). My toast was satisfying crispy and not overly sweet with brown butter maple syrup, but I was drooling over his shakshuka after I tried a bite. It's the perfect dish to order if you're craving for something that will awaken your tastebuds but isn't heavy. The flavors of the spice mix, tomato, egg and roasted peppers were extremely well balanced! We also shared a charred pink grapefruit with lemon yogurt and pistachio honey (£4), which I wouldn't recommend. The grapefruit was quite bitter and the pistachio honey wasn't sweet enough to counterbalance the bitterness. Adding the tartness of the yogurt to the mix created an odd trifecta of flavors that didn't work well together. Overall, the french toast and shakshuka were great choices. I think some of the other items on their menu could potentially be hit or miss though.

Yelp
Crowded and small, so we had to wait outside in the cold until a table opened up, but it was worth the wait. Definitely "breakfast done well." We were sitting by the door and it constantly kept us freezing every time someone came or went. They really need to figure out a better way to handle folks entering/exiting the place on cold days! We also think they forgot about our order since several tables that were seated well after we ordered got their food before us. When we asked about our order, it came quite quickly, but my wife's eggs were very cold. We pointed this out and while we did get a little push back, he actually apologized when we showed him the eggs were quite cold to the touch. He immediately replaced the order with a hot one and gave us an order of their sweet breads for free. Mistakes happen, but we appreciated their owning up and making it right.
google avatar

Claire B.

Yelp
Waited about an hour to get sat and then another half hour for food. We got the Nutella French toast which was just okay - like it was good, but it's hard to get Nutella wrong. Lattes were also pretty bitter, but it's a cute place with unique food.
google avatar

Katina M.

Yelp
This place is really cute and I wanted to love it but I was disappointed in several factors. We got bloody Mary's (not pictured) and they were bad. They were 9 pounds and it was a super watered down pre mixed bloody. It tasted like somebody squeezed a tomato in a glass of water and threw some hot sauce in. The toasty was good but it was not as ooey gooey as it looks on their Instagram pages. I thought it was also not super warm, like it had been sitting under the lamp for a while. It's a great concept but I think it could have been better. It was also very expensive and I get that it's London, but if you're going to price a sandwich that probably costs $2 to make at 13 pounds it better be awesome. The gelato sandwich was very good but the hot cross bun was not warm and it would have been so much better if it was.
google avatar

Caroline T.

Yelp
Yum! This is an amazing brunch spot. Everything was great. I got the smashed avocado toast, which was delicious. Kids wanted to get fried chicken dishes, which I thought was strange but what a great choice! If I come back here another time, I will get the chicken and waffles. Their fried chicken is perfection.

Yelp
EggBreak is a wonderfully delicious breakfast and brunch spot located a stones throw away from the Notting Hill Gate station. The decor is cute and cozy. I ordered the Levantine egg dish which came with fried eggs, wheat toast, diced tomatoes, and seasoned chick peas. It was very flavorful and tasty! I also tried an almond milk latte and some pressed juice. Both were great. Finally, the service was lovely - the two servers assisting our table were very attentive and kind! Will definitely return to eggbreak on my next trip to London!
google avatar

Yelp
A great breakfast spot and free refills on coffee! The service and food are both great and it's all reasonably priced
google avatar

Yelp
There was over a 30 min wait for brunch and once we were seated and ordered our dishes were served quickly. The food was worth the wait! Three dining rooms of what looks like an old home make up this restaurant. Space is limited but it's cosy with pillows on seats. A large menu with something for everyone. Healthy, indulgent, original and traditional dishes. I went with the fried chicken burger which had the right spice level, pickles and onions. The shoe string fries were tasty. My companion enjoyed her salt beef hash with eggs and bread. Satisfying. The original Bloody Mary was a bit boring. There was no lime or celery, barely any spice. Might need to go for something bolder next time, as they have 4 types to choose from along with coffee, tea, and other cocktails. Overall I enjoyed the meal and would definitely return for breakfast or lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
I'd give the food 4+ stars, but the slow/scattered service 3 stars. We came here for breakfast during our visit to London last month. We found it on Yelp/Google and saw it was only a few minutes from our Airbnb. Even on a Thursday morning, there were no open tables in either dining area. Eventually, we were seated downstairs - where it definitely feels like you will be forgotten. We were originally seated at a table for 4, but ended up being re-seated (after a few minutes) to a table for 2. I ordered the Levantine eggs, and my husband ordered the Sweet Potato Rosti. I found my Levantine eggs to be very light, flavorful, and different than your usual brunch fare. My husband loved his Sweet Potato Rosti, and from the bite I had, I was a bit jealous. The service was slow, and we saw a number of tables have to repeatedly ask for their sides or extra coffee/juice.

Chen D.

Yelp
While there's no doubt the food is awesome, there's a general vibe of "we don't actually want to serve you." It starts with - you can't reserve a place, so let's say you're visiting from abroad and have a limited time and innocently thought you can stop by for an egg breakfast, you'll find a long ass line, for a very tiny space. So granted, we gave up, because I'm not gonna miss on seeing sights for a sandwich. The day after we thought we'll be smarter. Let's order and eat at home! My sister lives in London VERY close (5 minutes walk) to Egg Break, but somehow it was out of their delivery zone (WTH.) But wait! There's another solution! We can get on the digital queue! (What is this? NYC's Shakespeare in the Park?!) but alas, it's not working! So when we got to the line yet again, we decided to order for pick up. There's a very kind sign outside saying "don't come in, just ring the bell for pick up!" (the bell doesn't seem to be working?) and also, it was 25 minutes wait. For the egg sandwich. So we literally circled the block 3 times and came back, just to take it to the Whole Foods court and eat it there. You guys, places that don't take reservations aren't cool or hip. They're just crappy to their customers.
google avatar

Andie B.

Yelp
Egg Break is a lovely spot over in Notting Hill with an extensive menu off lovely egg dishes. I highly recommend getting a savory dish and having the Nutella French toast to share with the table! Everything tastes amazing. Thankfully they're open for takeaway so you can still grab their tasty dishes
google avatar

Trung N.

Yelp
Great place to grab a bite to eat! I enjoyed the atmosphere and service. We got lucky and didn't have to wait, but there was definitely a line of people waiting when we left. The food we had was refreshing and cooling and I really enjoyed the Tumeric latte they had. :)

Yelp
it was your typical, rainy, gloomy morning and i was alone and STARVING for some good ol' brunch. i was paroozing the ol' yelp app looking for elite recommendations and quickly came across egg break; high praise after glowing review and it really was a no-brainer that this was gonna be the spot for me. so when i got there, they had JUST redone their menu and were still working through the pars and daily quantities of each item so a few things were already 86'd for the day, but it was not an issue at all because they had a ton of tasty offerings on their menu. it was crazy busy, which i gathered was not uncommon based on other reviews so really it is nothing at all to complain about. my server was fantastic. very sweet and kind. service was a bit slow but hey, it was a new menu so all was well. this was a solo brunch date, but i obviously needed to get that content so i ordered to entrees: LAMB HASH: sweet potato hash, fried egg, garlic pesto, dill yogurt. THIS WAS BOMB! I had never had a LAMB hash before but holy heck let me tell you, this was brilliant. the way that the flavors worked together to compliment each other was truly great. 10/10 NUTELLA FRENCH TOAST: cornflakes, mascarpone i can't help but drool remembering how life-changing the crunch of the cornflakes on the outside of the toast was for me. it was otherworldly. and experience i have told everyone about. y'all everywhere should be putting cornflakes on their french toast and if they are not, they are doing it wrong!! shoutout to the whole team at egg break for being extremely hospitable. cannot wait to return!

Yelp
Just visiting London for a bit before traveling to Belgium and was looking for a place with some solid eggs benedict. I got the Crabcakes Benedict and it's probably the best I've ever had. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone, local or just passing through. 10/10
google avatar

Alessandro P.

Yelp
For a place that does only one thing, the mistakes are pretty much unforgivable. Eggs royal (or Eggs Benedict with Scottish salmon, as in the menu) featured an egg too runny and one overcooked. Plus, the muffins were stale. A performance that took place at 1.30pm of a working day, with no pressure to serve the usual line of customers outside the premises. Imagine during the peek hour. Eggbreak doesn't even get a 5 out of 10. Look elsewhere for a brunch in Notting Hill.
google avatar

Margaret N.

Yelp
Looks like a small quaint place on the outside, but they actually have lots of tables downstairs too. Had the red juice, americano and avocado toast. The juice was super refreshing and naturally sweet, which I liked. The americano was nicely prepared and served in the cutest cup. And let's talk about the avocado toast!!! The avocado to toast ratio was on point. Pretty sure there were two whole avocados on my toast. And it came with two poached eggs- nice portions! Friendly service too!
google avatar

Gäbi W.

Yelp
I went with my friend when visiting London and were seated within 8 minutes which isnt too bad. The energy in the place was relaxed and the interior was very quite giving off minimalist aesthetics. The food was AMAZING, however, the service took so long with bringing out the food.
google avatar

Kelly P.

Yelp
Egg Break is what it looks like: a brunch café targeting youths with Instagram accounts who put avocado on everything (i.e. me). The interior has a pleasant trendiness to it, the food is well plated, and ordering tea gets you milk in this really cute mini milk bottle. The ground floor seating is just as nice, open, and airy as the first floor, so don't walk away just because there are no tables available upstairs. The portion sizes are strangely varied (my chia pudding was tiny, but my friend's avocado toast was enormous). My favorite thing I tried was the green juice; sharp and tangy, it pairs surprisingly well with breakfast. This is very clearly a new cafe, and the management still has some kinks to smooth out. The food itself was decent enough, but the service seems a bit haphazard. We were served (slowly) by three different waitresses in an hour. The menu was also oddly incomplete; it says not a word about coffee and only after trying to order a specialty tea they were out of did I find out they serve regular Yorkshire tea. I hope to come back in a few years time to find that the experience has reached the standard of the food.

Yelp
After all these brunch places I tried in London, I thought I would be tired of eating eggs, waffles and stuff... But yeah, who am I kidding, brunch is awesome ! I saw so many pictures about Eggbreak on Instagram, that on my weekend back in London I decided to have breakfast there with my roommate. We knew we would have to queue (especially since it's in Notting Hill) but surprisingly enough, we only had to wait for about 10 minutes, which is not so bad. Surely it's because they have many tables available, on different levels. We ate at a small table at the lower level (with no windows). Sure, you can't enjoy the daylight, but the decoration makes up for it (and the food as well). I had the cornbread waffles with bacon and eggs, ordered a rose green tea, while my roommate had avocado on toast (a fancier version of course). The food was delicious, so so tasty and I really liked it, but I was surprised to be really into the green tea ! Most of the time, I'm all about the food, but I have to admit the tea added a really nice touch to this brunch. I would definetely recommend this place, but maybe try to be there early to grab a table near a window ?
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
Pretty good brunch spot with a lot of tasty choices. They also offer allergen friendly substitutes like gluten free bread, soy milk, etc. There is always a really long wait on the weekends or during holidays but during the week you may only wait about 10 minutes for a table. The staff are really busy and deal with a lot of tourists so if you go, don't be rude to them. I see it happen every time I'm there. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars just because the wait time and I think they're a bit understaffed. However, EXCELLENT FOOD AND DRINK!
google avatar

Tara M.

Yelp
We went as part of their soft launch so hopefully they will improve over time. The service was friendly but exceptionally slow. We waited ages for our coffees and while the people are super nice, they didn't tell us that something we ordered wasn't on the menu till they served us and gave us an alternative without telling us. The coffee is decent but all of our food was luke warm. I personally wouldn't come back as the breakfast really wasn't that great. My friend had the waffles which were super dry and my pancakes were pretty naff. I must say though, there was a decent amount of fruit with the pancakes though and the berries were very plump! It looks pretty and they have all the calling cards of 'trendy brunch' with their acme mugs and decorative plates but when it comes down to substance the food just isn't up to scratch. I wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp. Cute place. Service was quick. All of us were raving about the food that we ordered . Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
I like Eggbreak. I like the decor, the relaxed atmosphere, the food.. But I do feel there is room for improvement. I visited for Sunday brunch during the soft launch, during which food was 50% off. I had the smashed avocado on sourdough, with poached eggs. It was lovely - perfectly cooked eggs, not too mushy avocado and a good sized portion. The sourdough was a little on the hard side and it was slightly cold when served. I would order this again. My companion had the bacon cheeseburger which comes with fries. It was a good burger, nicely pink in the middle (it should be noted that the server didn't ask how he would prefer it to be cooked). I wouldn't really call this a bacon cheeseburger though as it has no rashers of bacon, instead the bacon is in the pineapple bacon jam, which still wasn't very bacony. What I wouldn't order again are the fresh fruit juices. They were nice enough, but £4 for the smallest glass of juice I've seen is too much. Service was friendly but slow, although the food was served promptly. I would recommend Eggbreak if you're nearby, but don't go out of your way for it.

Yelp
Egg break is recently had a change in management and therefore a new brunch menu was introduced. Missed out on their old menu and sad to never got to try their their hotdog kimchi rice I was still quite eggcited to see what they got on offer being a big lover of breakfast dishes. Their restaurant was more like a cafe, quaint and homely with their long stretch of cushioned seating downstairs accompanied with individual cushions too. Nice house old plants to add some nice natural green to the place against the white tables and walls. They really made used of their place to fit as many tables as possible which made the place quite cramp at times, during the weekends. House stuffed flatbread We fancied something quick to snack on whilst our mehad a very satisfying texture being doughy and chewy. The filling of spinach, feta, cucumber, yogurt and sumac brought in very light healthy flavours as well as adding a lovely contrast in textures Cornbread waffles These were delicious. I loved the how the waffles were already sweetened so we didn't have to drizzle it with syrup. I find it by doing it that way the sweetness is more even across the dish. They were nice and firm yet slightly spongy inside. The bacon was grilled so the edges were crisp, adding a nice contrast of saltiness. Topped nicely with a rich organic free range sunny side up and drizzled with a bit of ketchup to a nice vinegary sweetness. Corn cakes These were my favourite dish of the meal. Presented like eggs florentine it made me realise what a difference it makes to have a different base and something that holds more flavour. They were bouncy, lovely flavours from added vegetables creating lovely textures and flavours. The burst of sweetness from the corn was felt against the velvety spinach and the lovely rich poached eggs. Hollandaise was perfect and creamy wrapping everything up nicely Bacon cheeseburger doubled up Fantastic burger. Shows the drastic improvements of what high quality ingredients can do to a burger. No need for extra garnishes as the medium rare patty was so packed with flavour, sweetness and incredibly meaty and tender. It was as juicy as a good steak! Cheese was rich and creamy and for once I could actually taste it in every bite of the burger. The pineapple bacon jam gave the whole burger a good zest and flavour and all topped nicely with a pillow soft brioche bun. Chips were like McDonald's ones, thin, salty and tasty. The only thing I would question is the bacon in the name as it doesn't have any in it and was probably just preferring to the bacon jam itself. French toast And the amazing crunchy dessert. How they managed to achieve such a great contrast of a thin crispy crunchy top toast and a wet spongy inside? I really don't know. But it's amazing especially with a lovely addition of soft ripen bananas to add another type of sweetness to it and blueberries for a little burst of zest to balance it. Drizzled over with maple syrup to make it even more moist and tasty. I absolutely love Egg break. Just a shame that it is not one of those places you can just sit and relax at your own comfort without feeling remorse seeing those queuing up at the door eager to get a seat like you once were. At such a small cramp place, noise levels were pretty high too with music that is way too loud for a little place like this. At least service was fantastic, great at giving suggestions and looked like they were enjoying themselves too. It's always nice to have enthusiastic staff. Anyway I highly recommend this place nevertheless although be aware that the name 'Egg break' is deceiving as not all of their dishes contain egg although most do.

Yelp
We found this restaurant on yelp, usually I'm never disappointed, but this time unfortunately was not great at all. We were seating in the back facing their open messy closet Service was not great , the waitress didn't really seem to care Matcha latte arrived cold, they nicely changed it, it was good the second time My husband tea took 15 min to get dark... Food was the most disappointing , we were starving so we finished everything but it was not well prepared. I ordered the Levantine eggs, it was not really hot, the chickpeas were hard with no flavor, halumi on the side was ok. Same for my husband who is less demanding than me but who was really upset. The team doesn't seem very professional . There are so many other amazing restaurant near by like ottolengui, granger....
