Egghill - Review - Edgehill - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Egghill only does breakfast sandwiches, and they do them well. We get The Mustache, named, we can only assume, for all the stuff that undoubtedly graces your upper lip as you eat it. These fluffy eggs come with bacon, fontal cheese, onion jam, and a dijonaise that happily employs a bit of whole grain mustard in there. Or, you can go simple and get Egghill’s namesake sandwich, with cheddar, greens, and “good sauce” (a mayo/ketchup combo with grilled onions and seasoning) topping your scrambled eggs." - Ann Walczak

Google
Nice spot for delicious egg sandwiches that help ease the hangover. Tried the sausage egg and cheese sandwich and it really hit the spot. Definitely would recommend. Didn't take the best photos of the place but being a bit of a geek myself, loved the decorations around the spot. Place has a handful of tables but it was super busy when we went so we got it to go. Should note that there is a bit of a longer wait since the place receives a lot of people in store as well as a lot of online orders. But definitely worth the wait as the sandwich hit really good.

Google
Ordered the Special Spicy, the Egghill, grits, and the tater tot casserole. Everything was delicious! Service was great and the vibe was relaxing. It was an easy walk from our room at the Morif and is in a really cute shopping area!

Google
I like the set up. The restaurant is small but well put together. The ingredients are fresh. I ordered the jamwich with no house sauce , bacon egg &cheese, and hash brown casserole Tasty I would definitely try it again just not with the arugula The guys were nice and efficient.

Egghill knows how to do breakfast right! Their perfectly cooked eggs are rich and flavorful, paired with soft, pillowy buns that melt in your mouth. The avocado sealed the deal with its creamy texture, while the pesto added a burst of freshness that made every bite a flavorful delight. It’s filling yet light—exactly what you want to start your day. Great food, great flavors, and a great experience. Highly recommend!

Google
Absolutely delicious. The gluten free buns were great. I got the Jamwich and it was phenomenal. I loved that it had the goat cheese and jam. The flavor was great. The tater tot casserole was delicious.

Google
The Cutest little place in Edgehill Village! I love that they use all local ingredients and partner with local farmers and artisans for the ingredients of their sandwiches! You can absolutely taste the difference. The Jamwich with local jam, goat cheese and crispy onion was absolutely amazing.

Google
The pictures are The Egghill Sando & marsh hen mill Grits with TN cheddar & chives 🤤 I added the hot sauce to the sandwich, hot sauce is not standard! The grits were different & delicious! There are three 2Tops & two 4Tops. No room for seating outside, maybe the neighbors won't mind y'all sitting there, didn't ask 🤷🏽‍♀️ The owner is a soccer guy & chill. Come support! Y'all won't be disappointed 🤍💛🤍

Google
Tatercasserole and creamy grits hit exactly how show😋 ...definitely will stop by when I am bk in Nashville.

Yelp
This is a must visit for breakfast. They have unique flavors like the spicy Jamwhich which has crispy onion straws, arugula, sausage, cheese, egg and jalapeño peach jam. Tater tot casserole is amazing. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean and trendy. It's very casual and you will have to lost like stand in line for a bit in peak hours. Still worth it!

Yelp
I don't usually leave negative reviews, but if I had seen a review like I'm about to leave it would have been very helpful to me in making a decision on where to grab breakfast as I was trying to multi task and eat/while doing some work on my laptop. If you want the short version of why I do not recommend: outrageously expensive parking ($7.55/hour), no hot (specialty) coffees (I wanted a latte), no wi fi. If you want to know the sequence of events: I was in the area in between an early morning appointment and early afternoon appointment. I needed to kill about two hours, and I needed breakfast and coffee. I looked in Yelp and there were several well reviewed restaurants close. I thought Egghill's style would be more suitable for doing some work on my computer while eating, so I came here. I parked in the parking lot in front of the restaurant. The hourly rate was $7.55. Before paying, I ran in to ask if they validate parking. They don't. But parking on the street is free. I told them I'd order and then move my car. Strike one. (Parking is kind of hard around here, but I was here early so I found something about a three to five minute walk away.). Next, while ordering, I asked if they made lattes. No. They have drip coffee and a cold brew you can buy from the fridge along with juices. They recommended I walk out back and down the parking lot to a coffee stand (about two or tgeee minutes). So I did. Strike two. After I made it back from getting my my coffee, re-parking my car and grabbed my sandwich I sat down to eat and work. The whole time I had been ordering and coming and going, I had been carrying my laptop (and told the man taking my order I would be doing a little work). After getting seated I asked for the wifi and they informed me they didn't have public access wifi. Big time Strike three. The other two issues alone would not have prompted me to write a review. The sandwich was good/fine/enjoyable, but I am fairly positive that I will not back. I don't need wi do every time. I don't need coffee every time. But when I do, I usually look for places like this. This did not do the job. And besides, there are tons of other places in the area that will serve you coffee, offers easier parking, and promoters lingering by offering wifi.

Yelp
Yum, yum, yum! Food was amazing and many excellent gluten free options. Fresh bread and the GF bread was some of the best I have ever had. On the menu the prices seem a little high but honestly worth it due to the high quality great tasting food. Staff were lovely. location is small and popular. May take around 25 min for food and may need to be takeaway but worth it. The walk there also very nice through a cool neighborhood.

Yelp
EGGCELLENT way to start the day... with Egghill | service was a bit slow for our to-go order but The Mustache sandwich was worth the wait. Not only was it super insta-worthy, the stacked sandwich was tasty, too. A little on the heavier side of a breakfast sandwich, but tasted delicious. We also tried the grits, which were just ok. Next time I'm in Nashville, I'm definitely trying the tater tot casserole or the Egghill sandwich!

Yelp
The is not just another hot touristy spot in Nashville that gets high ratings for no reason. This play is the REAL DEAL. The vibes are sweet and even feel local/neighborly. All the cooks and employees are super rad. Probably THE or one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in Nashville. Ingredients are fresh and they don't just slap an egg in the microwave. You can watch them cook the eggs on the skillets. The produce is fresh, it definitely tastes like it is sourced locally. I got the bacon, egg and cheese. It did not disappoint! They have an amazing aïoli spread that puts it over the top. Overall, great spot. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Yelp
Sandwich was excellent great flavor!!!! Highly recommend!! All sandwiches are made fresh to order, worth the wait!!!

Yelp
Neighborhood vibes and great customer service. I loved the neighborhood feel of the restaurant and how the patrons appear to be regulars! I tried the hash brown casserole, grits and bec. As a southern girl and true lover of breakfast food it was just average to me.
google avatar

Yelp
Round two was spectacular, we learned that the eggs/bacon are locally sourced and tried the locally brewed Sky Bear Coffee cold brew with vanilla! Cream & sugar available if preferred! Staff are so chill & friendly and it was such a beautiful weather day that it was nice to have the door propped open.

Yelp
Best breakfast sandwich place in Nashville. If anyone says differently they're lying!!!

Yelp
Egg hill is situated close to Broadway in a cute corner with tons of other food spots and shops to browse. Service was great and the ambiance is so cute. Eggs adorn every corner of each wall in the cutest ways. I ordered their hash brown casserole and avocado toast, both winners! You can make your own creations by adding tons of breakfast options and they have fresh canned jams. Definitely recommend if you're in Nashville.

Yelp
Egghill is located in the cutest Nashville neighborhood, Edgehill. This breakfast sandwich shop is in a quaint area nearby the Vanderbilt campus. I picked up my order but there was some seating available indoors as well. The sandwich was everything I could have asked for in an egg sandwich and was hearty, flavorful, and not dry in the slightest. Big fan of Egghill!
google avatar

Yelp
Great local spot for an amazing egg sandwich. The bun is soft and moist, eggs are tender and fluffy, and the sauce is fantastic. The fancy add ons are available ones are options, but the simple Egghill is my go to. Plus the staff is always super friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the perfect place to get a quick breakfast or grab & go! The inside is small & only has about 4-5 tables, so just know if you come during prime brunch or breakfast hours in the weekend, you may not have a place to sit inside, but seems like most people ordered online to go. Parking is easy if you're willing to park down the neighborhood roads & walk for a minute. We ordered The Jamwich x2, the tater tot casserole, & the special side which were pimento cheese grits. Staff were super friendly & helpful! Quality was super good. All of the items were super fresh and the sandwiches were larger than I thought they were going to be! A sandwich & a side is more than enough for an average person. Highly recommend for a quick breakfast!

Yelp
Easily one of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to. Quick, easy, simple and delicious. All the things it should be. Great staff and cool vibe. Will be back.
google avatar

Juliana C.

Yelp
There is a small lot, but you have to pay for parking. I recommend parking by the neighboring streets although it may be hard to find parking on the weekend. Inside is small and cozy with around 4-5 tables seating anywhere from 2-4 people. The service was good, it just took a while for the Egghill sandwich to come out because there was a lot of people coming and ordering. The Egghill sandwich is solid. The arugula is a nice touch and flavor to balance out the creamy sauce which tasted similar to thousand islands and the egg. The buns were okay, they could have been softer with more moisture. Overall, solid breakfast or brunch spot.

Yelp
So good! These guys know how to make breakfast. Both sandwiches and the tater tot casserole were amazing. the two making the sandwiches were super friendly and even offered us a complementary iced coffee. The inside of the restaurant was clean and inviting and the vault door to the bathroom was an unexpected treat.

Yelp
Friendly and Delicious! The made to order breakfast sandwiches are served on a lightly toasted bun. The bun is tasty and does a really nice job keeping the sandwich together. Arugula comes on every sandwich and adds a crispy, peppery freshness. They source their food from well known farms; the bacon is from Gifford's and the sausage is from Bear Creek Farms. Most recently, I tried the Sausage, Egg & Cheese sandwich. It was quite tasty and filling. Their Grits are delicious and unique. Don't be scared by the grayish purple color! These are blue corn grits from Marsh Hen Mill, and they have a wonderful texture and flavor. They are served with cheddar cheese and chives and I highly recommend them. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is always clean. This is a good breakfast joint.
google avatar

Tim G.

Yelp
What a great breakfast sandwich! In fact, their sandwiches are big and hearty, so I really think they are almost better described as "breakfast burgers" or something like that. The sandwiches are made with a hamburger-size bun, and generous toppings. One sandwich definitely made for a hearty meal. The ingredients were really tasty, so I really enjoyed my breakfast. The staff was helpful and friendly, which contributed to the experience. The restaurant is pretty small, but feels very cozy with a pretty good number of tables. I definitely recommend stopping by for a breakfast sandwich. Egghill is worth seeking out!
google avatar

Chrissy S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I had the Jamwich that boasted goat cheese, strawberry jam, sausage, egg, and arugula on a gluten free bun. BEST GLUTEN FREE BUN EVER. Exquisite! We came back two days in a row!!
google avatar

Ellen O.

Yelp
Egghill is perfection. It is the cutest spot in Edgehill for breakfast. It is small, without a ton of seating but perfect for small groups or to grab to go. Everyone who works there is always so friendly! I have not had an egg sandwich from there that I was not obsessed with It has become my go-to place to take visitors to town (and then taunt the out of towners when I go back without them). I wish I could give it 10 stars!!
google avatar

Enna J.

Yelp
The breakfast sandwiches were good but a bit pricey. The tater tot casserole was a bit salty. They only have regular drip coffee. You can ask for milk and they'll give you a carton to pour it yourself. Super small cafe with only a couple of tables and you have to pay for parking.

Funda W.

Yelp
Very tasty breakfast, very friendly staff. My jamwich was so tasty! Goat cheese and jam merge together so well and great with the arugula, sausage, fried onions on the bun!!! Brilliant! Their cold brew (in a bottle) was pretty good, too. Cute place, although small, and disappointing that you have to pay for parking in their parking lot. I'd return there next time I'm in town (and would probably look for free street parking).
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
The sauce on these things is amazing!!! The sandwiches have so much flavor and so cheesy. I love everything about their breakfast sandwiches, wouldn't change a thing! (I'm my usually not a big fan of these buns) Plus they have a great location.
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
This was prob one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a long time that was perfect. This is a small establishment surrounded by several other businesses, so it's rather easy to miss. But you can't pass it up. Every single employee I came across was super friendly and accommodating. I would say roughly about 6 tables inside for you to dine in. On to the best part the sandwich! I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese. From the crispiness of the bacon, the softness of the eggs, and fluffiness from the bun...chefs freaking kiss! I'm not sure of the guy who cooked on this particular day, but he made this just right!!! It's hard to find someone who will actually lightly scramble your eggs and nail it. *hats off* to him. I will definitely return to try some either another sandwich or stick to what I know is great. If you're in the area, stop by. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Not a big place (very limited seating) and not a quick service. But, it was super tasty! Bacon, egg and cheese was delicious on a super soft roll. I'm glad I tried the tater casserole once, but I probably wouldn't order it again. There is paid parking in front, but parallel street parking was free all the way up and down the street.
google avatar

Dustin H.

Yelp
The breakfast sammy at Egghill might very well be the BEST breakfast sandwich in Nashville. I'm so glad I was fortunate enough to attend a Yelp elite event here recently and that Egghill was kind enough to be such a gracious host for said event, because it quickly made me a repeat customer. For $11 you get---sausage or bacon cooked to perfection using what tastes like high quality meat, cheese, fresh arugula, a perfectly cooked egg (a mini flavor-blast of an omelette style egg cooked to perfection neither runny nor dry/overcooked) on a warm, toasted bun that tastes like it has to be freshly baked. It's seriously great. The hashbrown casserole is really good too--crispy edges, soft in the middle, perfectly seasoned. I appreciate that all items are served in quickly biodegradable packages. I also like that if you opt for orange juice it's a simple, one ingredient (oranges) juice. The service here is very friendly. It takes them a moment to get your food because it's freshly prepared and that is appreciated. If you're hopping in for a bite, know that the lot out front is pay but there are lots of street parking options that likely never run out if you're not above getting some steps in.

Yelp
We loved egg hill. It was good and tasty and even better that they used local ingredients!

Yelp
We were visiting Nashville for a few days and came across Egg Hill, which had great reviews on Google. The staff was incredibly friendly and even gave us some great recommendations for other places to check out during our trip. The restaurant is clean and tidy, with a self-serve station for water, iced coffee drinks and natural juices. It's a casual spot where you order at the counter and seat yourself. We tried the tater tot casserole (a must-try!) and the sausage & egg and bacon & egg sandwiches, both of which were excellent. Best of all, everything here is locally sourced. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nashville!
google avatar

Brooklynn K.

Yelp
Been here twice thanks to the Offline deal. First time I got their namesake sandwich and a cold brew. Very tasty, excellent staff, relatively fast service (which is good it isn't super fast because I know they're making it fresh!). Second time my friend got the sausage sandwich and I got the tater tot casserole - uh, YUM! I am a potato lover and these were delicious. Ambiance is good music, a little darker than expected, a few tables, and now a cute dogs of egghill wall. Self serve water and condiments. Continue to recommend this spot to breakfast lovers!

Yelp
Quick stop for breakfast or to do some early morning work in solitude! A small, nice, and quiet spot !

Georgia C.

Yelp
Delicious food!! We had it delivered and everyone in my group was impressed! Great breakfast sandwiches and hash browns!
google avatar

Holly T.

Yelp
The Egghill breakfast sandwich melts in your mouth and was delicious . Tip of the day- add the caramelized onion jam for a tasty treat! The eggs and cheddar cheese combined with the arugula and special sauce made it a real winner for me as I was not in the mood for bacon or sausage. Small menu but everything I saw looked good. It was busy for a Sunday morning and we only waited several minutes for our sandwiches. The staff was friendly and the place is small but fine. We walked because we live a mile away but parking can be tough to find on the streets so you may end up in a paid lot. We will come back again for easy breakfast sandwiches!
google avatar

Yelp
Few things in life are better than a breakfast sandwich ... especially when paired with Tater Tot Casserole. Cleverly named Egghill (in Nashville's historic Edgehill neighborhood) has quickly become my go-to spot when I'm hit with breakfast cravings on the go. I love the creative, egg-themed decor, and the casual, welcoming interior. If you're visiting on a weekend, I absolutely recommend ordering online for pick-up. On weekdays, I've stopped in to order at the counter and have been back on my way with food in tow in around 10 minutes. I've sampled a few different sammies - and have to say you can't really go wrong with anything on this menu. My favorite has been the "Special," which I believe was a limited time offering. I also adore the "Mustache," while my husband prefers the classic "Bacon, Egg &, Cheese." Again ... don't miss out on the Tater Tot Casserole. Seriously. I would eat this by the barrel if I could. Writing this review is making me hungry - so it's safe to say I'll be back in to visit Egghill soon!

Yelp
Great find for a light Saturday brunch! Loved the special avocado egg sandwich and arugula salad. It's a bit pricy but good quality.

Yelp
Good food. Very limited menu and no ambiance. But it was a tasty breakfast sandwich. Lots of to go business

L T.

Yelp
Egghill has become a favorite spot for breakfast; every time we order something, you never disappoint. The sandwiches, grits, tater tots casserole are so flavorful and delicious. Last weekend, we tried the juices for the first time and they were amazing too. If anyone's visiting Nashville or some Nashvillians looking for a great breakfast place - this is it. Don't settle; choose quality, choose Egghill.
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
honestly if i lived closer to this place I would go at least twice a week. I am a sucker for breakfast sandwiches and these hit! I got the sausage, egg and cheese and it was perfect on a soft bun. I went on a Saturday and service was fast to order but to get the food was slow, they do online orders so make sure you're not in a rush. Location is great, parking is 0 (park along the street).
google avatar

Bailey P.

Yelp
Possibly the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Everything tasted so fresh. I love that they use local ingredients because it really makes a difference taste-wise but also makes me feel better as a customer in supporting local farmers. The bread felt so light and fluffy and the egg was cooked perfectly so that it was still a little runny but not messy.
google avatar

Aliya M.

Yelp
I had a great solo brunch here! The reviews are good so I decided to try it out. I loved it! I had The Egghill sandwich which is the simplest option they have. It was so tasty! Honestly exceeded my expectations for an egg sandwich. They cook and season everything masterfully! I also got the tater tot casserole. HIGHLY recommend! Beware of parking and seating situations. It can be hard to find parking in Edgehill. Also there is limited seating inside. I was able to get a table after about 20 minutes. Another great option is ordering and taking your sandwich to-go (many people did this while I was here).
google avatar

Markus D L.

Yelp
I appreciate a good egg sandwich! Egghill was good to me, truly more upscale or "craft" as they describe themselves. I loved the texture of the eggs. They were soft and fluffy without being runny. Runny Scrambled eggs kinda gross me out lol. Their love for eggs is shown in their cooking technique. The arugula added a fresh component. The sausage added that solid texture that was desired since the overall egg sandwich was light. I skipped on the "good sauce" since I'm not a fan of condiments/sauces and I'm glad I did. I'm not sure how it would have added to the already soft sandwich. The (sides) Grits and tator tot casserole sounded delicious but I didn't get to try them this visit. It is tucked in the corner of a small plaza, there is a parking lot as well as street parking. The inside decor is cute. Loved the bright sunny morning vibe and the egg themed wall decorations. Customer service was of course superb! And while I loved it, my dining companion did not. He said "It was a good sandwich, but why am I paying close to $15 for an egg sandwich." He doesn't appreciate the quality ingredients and cooking techniques like I do. He wouldn't go back, but I would. While I'm sure you can get egg sandwiches many other places and definitely cheaper, you will not get the quality that Egghill delivers!!!! Start your morning off right with Egghill and have an Eggcellent Day!!!

Sam P.

Yelp
The egg sandwiches were awesome....visited Nashville for the first time and went to Egghill twice. Food is cooked to order and service was excellent. Would highly recommend!
google avatar

Alexis M.

Yelp
Quick, delicious, and everything you want in an egg sandwich. Great service- I did a phone order and the staff were helpful and had my order ready as estimated. The menu is pretty simple; I got the Egghill (minus cheese and plus sausage) for $12 and it was really delicious. Imagine fresh to order high quality ingredients including fresh arugula, scrambled fluffy egg, sausage, special sauce, topped on a warm toasty bun. Starting the day off right!
google avatar

Caroline E.

Yelp
Solid breakfast sandwich that's just a little different from the rest. I had the Jamwich and loved the fluffy bun it came on. Egghill definitely is not skimping in size - this sammy was huge. The egg was well cooked and the goat cheese was a nice touch, the jam was a bit sweet for my liking but overall tasty brunch!
google avatar

Mirko P.

Yelp
It's a nice food outlet. I felt welcome with interior design. A lot of white and yellow colors and with large front window deliveries a lot of natural light. The menu is pretty simple, but the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich are really delicious. Service was friendly. Place to go!!
google avatar

Sherry Y.

Yelp
Egghill has fluffy, no nonsense egg sandwiches that are truly delicious. I had their namesake sandwich, and I wish I had the time to enjoy it in the shop. However, the kind, efficient staff who offered their customers gratis gutetama stickers made me feel at home for the few minutes I was able to spare the day I went in. There's a few different seating options: small cafe tables, a larger family-style table. It feels truly chill in here when you time your brunch right: there was only two other groups there when I went midday, mid-week. As with anything in Nashville, timing is everything to avoid the crowds. There are plenty of beverages, and they promote other local businesses, including Osa Coffee right down the block. There's nothing that isn't lovable about this local brunch spot.
google avatar

Anna G.

Yelp
This place is so cute! The staff was incredible nice and even gave me some of their cheese grits to try - which were absolutely incredible. I looooved the tater tot casserole and my breakfast sandwich. Such a fun spot to try and will definitely return!
google avatar

Nomita V.

Yelp
An easy-going, down-to-earth and comfortable vibe describes Egghill. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, non greasy, well proportioned and fresh. The tater tot casserole was also delicious and an unconventional approach to tater tots. The place is small and busy but you don't feel rushed. Would go back again.

Yelp
Can we please have a breakfast place like this in California?! This place is located in a cute part of Nashville and morning parking was easy to find. We ordered the sausage egg and cheese and the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and they were filled with so much flavor. Served on a bun with arugula and thousand island this takes breakfast sandwiches to a whole new level which I am all the way here for! we ordered grits because we have never had it and they were supper yummy! The staff took their time to explain the taste of grits and were really nice and helpful. Currently dreaming of this sandwich and can't wait to be back in Nashville to have this again! Yum!
