I LOVED the Chicken Masala sandwich! Great flavors. Vegetarian options are mid not bad

I’ve been to Eggholic quite a few times before and have always liked their sandwiches and Indian street food—it’s usually pretty decent. But this last visit really threw me off. I went with my grandparents during lunch and we got the lunch special, which honestly is a pretty great deal for the price. You get rice, yogurt, two entrées, and dessert—it’s a lot of food for what you pay. But sadly, the food this time just wasn’t it. The entrées tasted like they were overloaded with Indian spices—like it wasn’t balanced, just way too much seasoning. And the service? Definitely not great. Maybe it was because of the big rush going on, but it felt really chaotic, and we were left waiting for a while. My family likes this place a lot, and I’ve had better experiences here in the past, so I’ll probably give it another chance. But if you’re thinking about the lunch special, just know the price is awesome, but the food during lunch might not always match up to it.

Nice food. Tried samosa and corn masala sandwich. Sandwich is very tasty . Cost effective

After ordering on the app I walked in and was told it would be a 30 minute wait for 2 Chicken Masala wraps and 1 Samosa wrap. Came back at 30 minutes to pick up food. The wraps were cold, and the chicken inside the wrap was dry. Taste of wraps was ok. Worker at the counter was kind of rude. Probably would not go back.

Honestly, it is over prized, you can get the same street food at Devon street, much more tastier and at affordable prices. We ordered pau baji, which was very yummy and pani puri with was average. The guy on the counter was little rude, I don’t know what was wrong with him😅 We also ordered chai, but after 8 min when we went and ask about chai he said it will take more 15 mins. We then asked him to cancel that.

I’ve been here twice and food was always consistently good. Portion size is fair, remember not everything has to be huge American size. Prices were fine, stop being so cheap people! Go to McDonald’s if you can’t afford this place. Service was good, the same cashier I saw both times was very nice. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on this menu. I’ve tried the French toast, cheese katori, floating omelette, pani puri, dani puri, chicken masala sandwich, chatpata chicken sandwich, anda masala sandwich, mango lassi, and mango mastani.

Google
The staff and the owner here is very rude. We always come here but this time was very disappointing. We got wrong ordered and too if that very much attitude from staff chef and the owner. They don’t know how to value their customers. A sandwich which we ordered and they gave us wrong ordered and never fixed it. This means they care about that one sandwich but they didn’t see how they lost a regular customer and many more as will not recommend to any family and friends. Eggomania service is lot better and they care for their customers.

Yelp
As an Indian, I have high standards for good Indian food. Eggholic hits the cravings every single time. Whenever I'm craving street food, this is my go to place. The samosa chat and bhel are my absolute favorites. They make it spicy per my request and it's delicious! They'll make it milder based on your preferences. The sandwiches - the samosa and paneer - are my favorite! My husband also loves the chicken sandwiches and chicken 65. Definitely one of our regular spots, 10/10 worth the try!! Have tried all of their locations and it hits the spot every time!

Yelp
The things to get here include the anda masala sandwich and the chaat! I think the other things are great but a little too overpowering in flavor for me. Since eggholic is all about the spices, I like to get the simplest things on the menu! The sandwiches and the classic appetizer dishes are the best way to go.

Yelp
Impromptu stop for a quick snacks. Food was delicious. Tried the Lava Pulav with Egg.. was really spicy and had lots of flavors. My favorite was the Green Egg (appetizer).. was really spicy. Decor had the street food style vibe. Only disappointment the service could be better and friendlier. There was only one woman behind the counter but she seems to be busy on her phone.

Yelp
It was my first time at EggHolic. We stopped by on a weekend during lunch time and so glad we did because the food was amazing! They were a bit busy, but the food still came out in a decent timeframe. Order: I've always wanted to try an Indian-style sandwich for a while now and this paneer masala sandwich hit the spot. It was beyond delicious!! No need for the ketchup packets but would like more mayonnaise on it next time. Dahi puri was full of flavor and just delicious! The paneer tikka wrap was an 8/10 for me because I like a little crunch inside so raw onions would have been nice. Overall the food was amazing and the customer service was great. Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Really liked Rggholic. I think of it like a brunch place since the egg focus and the name, but it became so much more to me. I came in for an early dinner and was impressed. Had the sandwich, tofanni curry and the hum-tum. A good variety of dishes. My kids did detect heat on every dish but they said it was still really yummy. I thought the entrees were more a shareable portion so I think next time I'll come back it'll be with a few more mouths. I think Eggholic has easily made the takeaway night rotation. I need to try the entire menu!
google avatar

Johnny R.

Yelp
I can't say I have ever had Tikka massalla in sandwich form, but I'm glad I did. It was a great way to try one of my favorite flavored dishes. The bread was well toasted, and the flavors mixed quite well. There are plenty of other options on the menu, and most have eggs in the dish, which is a plus me since I love eggs. The mango Lassi was smooth and had a strong and fresh mango taste. Service here is friendly, and they were eager to make sure the food was satisfactory. The interior is spacious enough and fits the establishment and food. Needless to say, I'll be back for sure to try more of their menu. Nothing was wrong with my experience whatsoever, and I recommend giving them a try.

Yelp
Food was very subpar. Took my little cousins there and the butter chicken was good. However, the chicken kadai they recommend was not good at all. The chicken was very rubbery. We left most of the food there. The mango lassi was too sweet and I usually like sweet. The roti was fairly good but the portion size was not enough so we ordered supplemental. The pani puri was okay but the dahi puri was a little better.
google avatar

Sunny P.

Yelp
It was my first time coming here and I didn't know what to expect. The interior is really simple with ample seating! The mango lassi was so sweet and refreshing 5/5! The food here has a lot of flavor and spice. I would say spice level was 3/5 and flavors were 5/5! I would definitely come again for other dishes!

Yelp
I had been to the EggHolic restaurant in Schaumburg some years ago, but this was my first time checking out EggHolic - Niles. I was hungry just enough to have a small item, so I was not interested in a big meal. EggHolic specializes in Indian style eggs based street food dishes from the region of Gujarat state. You can get a nice variety of spicy (or non spicy) and flavorful egg dishes here. I ordered their Anda (Hindi word for egg) Masala sandwich. It is made with mashed boiled eggs; veggies like tomatoes, onions, green chilies, and spices (masala) like cumin powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, in a thick buttered bread slices which is then toasted to perfection after the sandwich is built. The sandwich was thick and filling. It came with a side of potato chips and some ketchup. I liked every bite of it. It was quite tasty and flavorful. It hit the spot for me. This establishment had an inviting environment and a pleasant ambiance. I received good service. The restaurant was clean and had a good amount of seating space. I'll be going back here for sure, and I also recommend it to anyone who likes good, flavorful eggs that are made in Indian style.

Yelp
I recently stopped by Eggholic Niles for a quick bite and was once again impressed by their delicious offerings. The Lachko and Ambavadi sandwich are my go-to favorites, both of which are incredibly flavorful and unique. This spot is a perfect choice to visit after grocery shopping at Patel Brothers since it's conveniently located next to the store. Eggholic Niles is a haven for vegetarians with its extensive menu of vegetarian options. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on a delightful culinary experience. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I visited eggholic in Niles and I ordered the chatpata chicken sandwich. It came with a pack of Lays chips and a soda. I got a can of Sprite. I also ordered samosa for an appetizer. I enjoyed my food. It was well prepared. Even though it had three breads, I thought the sandwich was light, which was perfect for me. The reason for the three stars is because of the lack of service. This was my first time in and we weren't greeted, and when we tried to ask questions about the menu, the server was very nonchalant and didn't answer and just looked like we should know what we wanted. It's a very simply decorated space with a few tables for dine in.

Yelp
I brought my family with me to eggholic. None of us had ever been to eggholic before. We love Indian food and thought it would be fun to try. The design and layout of the restaurant was pretty dope. There was plenty of seating and high chairs were available. We ordered several dishes and did a pot luck style. In the kids menu, I saw PB&J. I decided to order the kids tandoori chicken instead, it came with rice. Who wants to order a PB&J at an Indian restaurant. The cashier asked what I was ordering for the kids, I told her chicken tandoori. When I say, everything was spicy... There were items on the menu that had flames next to them, chicken tandoori is not a spicy item, but boy was I wrong. I had to feed the kids peanut butter crackers and apple sauce. I don't understand why the cashier didn't advise or give any other suggestion. I enjoy spicy food, but it seemed like everything with spicy. If you come here, make sure you bring your glass of milk.

Yelp
I had a craving and Eggholic mostly satisfied it. Solid flavors, good prices. Ordered the chicken kadai, egg chicken wrap, and chicken butter masala. The chicken butter masala was my favorite (likely because I'm a fan of mainstream Northern Indian food) but it was admittedly very greasy. Love that they included so many veggies in it though, including onions and bell peppers. You can choose a side that comes with it, I chose the basmati rice, and it was a small portion that was not enough for the entire portion of masala. There were about 8 good sized chunks of chicken in there. The mild spice level was good for this dish, the other ingredients in the dish helped to calm the level of heat. The chicken kadai was good, definitely spicier than the masala (also ordered in mild). It was surprisingly smooth, not exactly thick creamy, but creamy, without the taste of coconut which I somewhat expected. The chicken chunks in this were white meat perhaps, because they were harder to chew. The egg chicken wrap was pretty disappointing, i was expecting it to be wrapped in a roti, and alas, it was not. It was just chicken, sauce, wrapped in an egg wrap. Everything together was much too salty, and quite spicy (also ordered at mild), and would've been so much better had it been wrapped in a roti. I don't throw food away, I eat leftovers til there is no life in them, but I threw this one away after 2 or 3 bites. All in all, solid spot if you have a craving. It's not really a sit down restaurant though there is seating indoors.

Yelp
Eggholic Niles is a nice Indian restaurant with a variety of items on their menu. You can order the curries to your preference of spice - the extra spicy is very hot so I wouldn't order it unless you really enjoy hot food. The toofani curry is a curry made with boiled eggs - it's really good, the paneer cheese masala is also good and really filling. I'd recommend if you want a quick and more unique Indian restaurant to try out.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Pani puri, bhel, butter chicken, chai and falooda! Super tasty and just enough spice, the cashier was really nice and we didn't have to wait long for our food. This is a great choice if you want some casual street food vs sitting at a restaurant and having someone take your order. We will be back!

Yelp
A fantastic find in the Niles area by Patel Bros grocery store. A group of us came in for lunch on a weekend right when it opened. It was not busy for a good amount of the time we were there, but when we were almost done that is when it started to get busy. We ordered the Surti Gotalo and the Masala half fry both came with 2 rotis. The surti gotalo was a big portion, and had 2 sunny side up eggs on top. The flavors were reminiscent of Indian curries, definitely after eating a lot of it, it was spicy but not initially. The Masala half fry was tasty and very different flavors than what I am used to eating when eating Indian food. The flavors were also quite distinct and this dish was spicer than the surti gotalo. It also had more distinct texture than the surti gotalo. Overall a great place with an Indian street vendor vibe, music playing in the background. I want to go back to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
I've been to Patel Bros in Niles countless times and heard about EggHolic from family and friends. I had their sandwiches at a party once and loved them. Recently I finally got around to ordering it for myself while running errands. The only part that's frustrating is online ordering. You have to spend at least $10.00 on the dot to order ahead when a lot of items are $9.49 or $9.99. Luckily I had extra time so I decided to just walk in, order my food to-go, and wait. It's simple inside--plenty of sitting room and good for a quick lunch. Luckily it wasn't too crowded and just a few minutes wait on a weekday afternoon. The staff were friendly and efficient as well! I love almost any Indian dish with eggs so I decided to go with an anda masala grilled sandwich. It had this spicy Indian egg masala mixture, some vegetables like onions and tomatoes, a creamy sauce (which may have been mayo but did not taste super mayo-y?), and some amul cheese, all grilled to perfection with crusty bread. It was one of the most flavorful bites I've had. For some reason a wave of nostalgia rushed over me as I ate it--almost like being transported to my grandma's house in India. It was not overly spicy and made for a wonderful, craveable treat.

Yelp
Eggholic is an unassuming place located in a strip mall next to a large India grocery store (Patel Brothers). The interior has about a dozen tables with some single seats seating at the window. Eggholic offers many popular Indian street food dishes, egg dishes, and entrees. I've only grabbed food to go and have tried the Khadai chicken, the samosa wrap, and a chicken wrap. The khadai chicken is fantastic! The serving is fitting for 2 people and comes with 2 chapati's. You can request your preferred spice level. The wraps are delicious as well. My only complaint is that the price point seems high for the wraps, considering the size. The samosa wrap is good, I definitely need the tamarind chutney with it. The chicken wrap is good as well, and you can request your preferred spice level. Also, they use disposable utensils and plates... so, if you're looking for something fancy, this isn't it. With so many options available, good food (so far) and good service... I'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Just a quick tip because I don't see the tip section anymore, download their app. First order on the app gives you $10 off an order of $20+. The food is always tasty here and I can't stop coming back. It's usually for carryout out though but the dining area is nice and always clean.

Yelp
Here's what you need to know: Superior customer service, strong flavors, and a clean contemporary ambiance makes for a 5 star rating. Terrific experience, made even better by Zehra (and Prachi). The food was very enjoyable and perfectly executed. We dined in and had everything served promptly and hot. The spice level was aggressive in a good way, but not overdone. The customer service was just superior by the team working there. We enjoyed the Bhel and the Amdavadi sandwich the most, followed closely by the Chicken Kadai (even though it was quite heavy handed on the oil but well flavored. We ordered some extra chapati rotis with the chicken and they were well prepared and tasty. The Raja chicken kebab was tender (I do wonder though if they used a synthetic tenderizer to soften chicken breast) and flavorful too. However, an epic fail dish from the menu was the paneer wrap which just shouted of margarine smell and sugary sweetness (we could not take more than a bite of that). However, given their customer service (Zehra especially) and execution for being a new restaurant l, the paneer wrap did not deter me from giving them a 5 star review. Great job!

Yelp
I don't have a lot of experience with this food. My friend and I split 2 dishes. First chicken tikka masala. Great version that had medium spice and the chicken was juicy tender and cooked to perfection. Our second dish was an egg dish with green sauce and some condiment which was very flavorful and had a kick. This needed rice to go with it because it's very saucy. My only criticism is 2 guys came out of the kitchen and one with a backwards baseball hat was playing with his beard and face behind the counter. His coworker was rubbing his nose behind the counter. I hate poor food safety and sanitation.
google avatar

Anirudh P.

Yelp
A hidden gem for egg lovers. Warm ambiance, attentive service, and mouthwatering egg-centric dishes. They also offer a delectable Lava Paneer Pulao, a flavorful fusion dish that combines aromatic rice, tender paneer, and a burst of savory spices. A must-try for those seeking a unique and satisfying culinary experience! Reasonable prices for generous portions.

Brianna P.

Yelp
First time trying Indian street food, this was lovely. The menu is a little intimidating, but the online photos helped. Our kids are pretty adventurous, age 10 and 7 could handle the masala sandwich, pan puri, egg wrap, but the green rice dish was too spicy for them. They loved the mango juice boxes and I enjoyed the chai.

Adnan J.

Yelp
Delicious food for sure. Great customer service. And the place is open late too so it's perfect for a late night snack.

Yelp
I always pass by EggHolic and wanted to give them a try! Came here on a Monday evening and I was not disappointed! Some menu items that I was debating on was their Paneer Wrap, Paneer Masala Sandwich, and any of their Paneer Curries. I decided to go with a curry and asked the lady who was taking my order for which one she recommended. She recommended the Paneer Kadai or the Paneer Cheese Masala since these had blocks of paneer in them. I decided to go with the Paneer Cheese Masala (Spicy) with 2 Roti! Our order didn't take too long to get to us. It looked amazing! There was a mix of shredded paneer and blocks of paneer layered under the ginger/garlic sauce. It had a good amount of spice and the flavor tasted great. It wasn't extra spicy or anything, just right for some spice. It was a bit oily though, but that was kinda expected. The crispy parts of the paneer was my favorite part. The roti paired nicely with the dish. It was fresh and came out to our table extra hot. Also the disposable wood plate was cute! Some tables were a bit dirty. Bathroom was pretty clean. I like how they have self serve water. Overall, I had a pretty good experience here! I'd love to come back and try some of their other menu items!

Vaishali P.

Yelp
Love this place and food. Really nice atmosphere. Since my family I were in a town for few days and not once we skipped to eat here. We loved their paneer ghotala so much that it became our instant favorite. And eggs with green gravy (forgot the name) was supper delicious too. Service was average. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
SO DELICIOUS!!! The seating and restaurant itself is great, modern, but still desi! Food is delicious, the street food options are great, and so are the bigger main course items. Food is fresh and hot
google avatar

Maitri S.

Yelp
The Ahmedavadi sandwich is a must!! It comes with a side of chips so you can add a drink and it's a great meal for lunch or dinner! It's casual fast Indian food that always hits the spot. They have a modern seating area in the front that's great for quick meals while grocery shopping.
google avatar

Doug S.

Yelp
Our first time here...Absolutely Deeelicious! The flavors here are amazing. I've had this cuisine all over The USA and this was the Best! They are artists in their food preparation. Very clean and super friendly. Absolutely The Best samosas I've ever had plus all the other too. We Highly recommend this place! Oh and the prices are great!!!

Anne U.

Yelp
Fabulous lunch, excellent food, great service. Will definitely go back. So excited to find it right next to Patel Brothers
google avatar

Jackie G.

Yelp
Today I finally tried EggHolic! The samosas are good, the egg wrap was good and my mom got the chicken & rice but it was way to spicy! But still delicious. I also loved my pistachio kulfi. I will be returning to try a few other things on the menu.:)

Francis C.

Yelp
The food was dry and tasteless. I was hoping for flavors and scents. I will not return.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
We've been here twice and we've been wow'd both times. It does take a little long but it seems like everything is made to order. Everything was hot and fresh with incredibly vibrant flavors. Despite taking a bit of time, the service was fantastic both times. Everyone seemed to genuinely care about the quality of the food and our experience. And the food. HOO BOY. Everything we've had has been TERRIFIC. The chaat especially is all dynamite. The curry/egg dishes are all fantastic as is the chapatti it's served with. I can't wait to try the sandwiches! It's also SPOTLESS and adorable. Clean and welcoming. I love this place and can't wait to return.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
I am not sure I fully understand the concept, so will give a higher rating based on that assumption. The sandwich looks good on photos and in person, but there is WAY to much bread to Masala chicken. All I tasted is bread. The Samosa was super dry, I am wondering if it was previously cooked and warmed in microwave before serving? I was here for an early dinner, maybe breakfast is a better option. Also keep in mind, they are in strip mall with Patel Bros, which gets pretty busy and there is a lot of traffic moving in and out, with limited signage on traffic flow. I was almost hit trying to park and once get trying to get out of the lot: So keep your eyes open.
google avatar

Naas D.

Yelp
Average food , little spicy. Quality is ok. I order the Lachko Shredded green bell pepper cooked with cheese & running eggs - it was super salty. Not sure they realize the cheese has a lot of salt in their already. I also ordered the Chai - it was nice. Overall ok
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
This newer spot is a great little pop in for lunch. The sandwiches come with potato chips that don't over power the meals. The portions are pretty good sized. The mango mastani was sweet without feeling overly sugary and it came with ice cream on top which was perfect for the summer heat.
google avatar

Melissa E.

Yelp
Food was so good. First time here and don't know what to order but Zehra helped us with our order as we tell her what we like. Very friendly and accommodating. We even met Chef Chris. Good food and good service.

Yelp
i came in today wanting to try to something new, i saw eggholic had Indian cuisine and i knew i had too go in a try it.i got the butter masala chiken with rice and some bread it was the best food i had in a while.eggholic had great service,Neha was great person she helped me with the options and brought great hospitality i felt welcomed in i thank Naha for a good day today now i leave full and positive.
google avatar

Oskar B.

Yelp
Quaint restaurant with an egg centric menu. The service was quick and receptive and the food delivered quickly. They were accommodating to the spice level that I was familiar with. If you get the boil tikka get a few extra roti to go with it!

Vrund P.

Yelp
I ordered an egg sandwich In sandwich stuffed of eggs was not enough I was very disappointed. The egg sandwich tasted like just the bread I was eating
google avatar

Harmony P.

Yelp
spicy good food! the service was very standard but they worked quick and compensated for it. Ambiance in general was less impressive than we expected. Overall l, i would go again, but as a casual pickup or quick lunch.

Jane B.

Yelp
Incredible food. We live about 30 minutes away but I'll be coming here more often. I can't wait to try the whole menu.
google avatar

Sunny K.

Yelp
awesome place for Indian street food. The name kind of throws you off but they have a lot of good street food. Definitely visit again.

Devin M.

Yelp
Love this place! Good food and Fatima was very friendly and helpful. Got the Surti Gotalo and a mango lassi. Will be back to try more.

Kyle N.

Yelp
We were one of three tables, service was incredibly slow. I would understand if I saw there were take out orders being picked, however that was not the case. We had to ask after our food, and then ask again as they didn't bring it all out. Food itself was okay, but service was severely lacking.

Heather N.

Yelp
I came and got the Monday special so I could try everything it was $12.99 and it was AMAZING!!!! they have wonderful service and everything taste so delicious and seasoned to perfection! The food came out fast. The restaurant is so clean and I love the music! 10/10 will definitely come back!
