It’s a tight squeeze in this tiny cafe but the food is delicious. It’s always great and the servers are always working hard. They offer a variety of fresh jams the selection varies, what a perfect touch!

Biscuits are really good. Jams are great. Good food overall. Quick friendly service.

I love coming here and today I think I got the perfect meal I’ve been trying out things but their hash brown casserole was my fav thing I’ve tried there. Their pancake is so fluffy and delicious and the biscuit was fire. We always have great servers too 🥰

Google
Solid breakfast. Good service. Great atmosphere. I had one of their Eggs Benedict (I forget which of the 3 on menu), and it was solid. Not a lot of food tho, and the taste/quality was just average tbh. Prices were reasonable compared to all other restaurants who’s prices have skyrocketed over last couple of years. Cute and quiet coffee shop connected to this restaurant which I’m interested in exploring more at some point. Bottom line: solid and simple breakfast, but there are several other places I’d go to before coming here

Super Cute little breakfast spot. I love the fact that while you wait for a table you are able to sit in and adjacent coffee shop. And it has all kind of games and delicious coffee you can order while you wait for a table. I rate it three stars because the food was very very delicious but the service can use a little bit of work. I don't know if I just came on a very busy day and everybody was stretched to their limits but as a first time customer I was a little put off by a few employees. I won't go into details because it wasn't that major. But the service and the way they "seat" people could use some work. Overall I would definitely go back, maybe on a less busy day.

This was my first visit, and the overall experience was good. The food was fresh and tasted good. The grits were luke warm, but the jam was very flavourful. I'm just not sure about ADA accessible or ADA friendliness. I explained to my server that I have back issues and was using a cane. I ordered breakfast for dine in and a sandwich to go. The waitress was very nice. It just felt weird at the end when I was packing up my things, and it took some time for me to position myself and bag to leave. I turned to say goodbye, and they all just stared at me while leaning on the counter but said nothing. It made me wonder how long they had been staring at me trying to put things together and never offered any assistance. I was texting a friend while eating that the food was good, but I would make sure to have someone dine with me the next visit. And of course, I had to take pictures of the food for my review. Thank you!

Came in the other day and we were told to seat ourselves then waited 15 minutes before anyone got to us with only three other people seated in the restaurant. Service was slow and our server told us there were charged refills on coffees so we shared one. Our mug was chipped so we let our server know and she gave us a new one that ended up having a lipstick stain on it. The toast was stale and I only got one piece of bacon on my order when it was supposed to come with two. My husband wanted the florentine but was told they were out of hollandaise so he got an egg sandwich instead which turned out alright.. until we found a long brown hair in it, probably our servers since her hair wasn’t tied back. The hashbrown casserole was sour which we both got as sides as recommended by the server and we regretted. We expressed our concerns with our server that the meal was not satisfying and she just told us she was sorry. There wasn’t a manager to resolve the issue? They gave us a cinnamon roll on the house and it ended up being stale and inedible. All the servers just congregated at the bar and sat on their phones. The trash was a at overflowing in the bathroom and it smelled awful. I would never recommend this place to anyone after all the hassle the bill was wrong and we were charged for two coffees instead of one and the bacon they brought to us that they had forgotten? but they fixed that.

Google
Nice little place. Friendly staff. We had breakfast, and everything was cooked to order and very tasty. The only disappointment was the cinnamon roll. Although the flavor was great, it was quite tough - actually hard to cut. I would definitely go back, just wouldn't get the cinnamon roll. 🙂

Yelp
The food here is always top notch and worth every penny. Service is always excellent. For sides I recommend the grits or the greens.

Yelp
Busy, but seated quickly. Server on point. Food awesome. Eggs Benedict and Country Benedict. Coffee surperb. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is a very popular spot on Frankfort Ave. It's a double building and one side is Eggs and the other is a coffee shop (used to be heine bros) with some tables for Eggs spill over. There is parking in the back and most days that's where to go if you're driving. Pretty good sized menu and they have no trouble with dietary restrictions or accommodations. My friend had a make your own omlete and it was good. My breakfast tacos were ok. The corn tortillas were not very good- almost cold- and while the contents and black beans were good, there wasn't enough of them for the price. There was a bunch of other items on the menu that looked good so I know I'll go back and try again (I think most places deserve a second try especially when the omlete was so good!)

Yelp
Eggs over Frankfort is a cute cafe vibe must try on Frankfort Ave. After a morning walk I stopped by here to try their breakfast. I was put on a wait list that took about 20 minutes. They are very attentive to calling names and seating people, so don't let this deter you. Once seated drinks came fast and the Server told us about their cinnamon rolls. I ordered a little bit of everything, a biscuit with gravy, a pancake, and some scrambled eggs. Everything was delicious. I do wisht the eggs were a little fluffier, but nonetheless they were great. I think the pancake is very fluffy and holds syrup well, so it does not get dry quickly. Lastly, the biscuit and sausage gravy hit the spot. The biscuit had crispy edges and had a soft center. The sausage gravy was creamy, not overbearing and just brought the whole dish together. Hopefully I will return and try different things on the menu.

Yelp
A great local place for breakfast or lunch on Frankfort Ave. A bit of a wait on a Saturday morning, but able to wait next door in the adjoining coffee shop. Service and food were excellent. No complaints from the entire group. Entrees included breakfast casserole, "everything"breakfast, breakfast "sammich", and omelette. Would definitely return and recommend!

Yelp
As a native Louisville, my first visit to Eggs Over Frankfort was a pleasant surprise. Eggs Over Frankfort is a quaint neighborhood establishment serving up great southern breakfast grub. The restaurant itself isn't very big, however the flavors say otherwise. Opting for the country Benedict, the house made biscuit was the highlight! Thick, fluffy and flakey the taste was almost of a Hawaiian style roll although it's clearly the largest biscuit you've ever had. Portion wise, the protein was a little slim with only two pieces of bacon. The sausage gravy was rich in flavor, definitely can tell it's homemade from scratch. Overall it was great first experience, I'll definitely be back when I'm home to try some new items.

Yelp
Friendly and welcoming. Counter seating for about 8. Fairly small footprint. An adjacent coffee shop covers speciality coffee drinks. Wonderful friendly staff. Excellent breakfast options. Delicious breakfast sandwich. The biscuits are large, square and part corn. Huge biscuits and gravy. Awesome pancakes griddle crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Classic breakfast shredded potatoes, grill crispy. Fresh cut fruit as a side. Very highly recomended Slainte!!

Yelp
This is one of the worse places in Louisville. Inept wait staff totally untrained. Food is not good. My omelet was way over cooked, had very little filling. Coffee is awful and they charge an arm and a leg for it. The place looks very dirty also . Do not go there .
google avatar

Yelp
Overrated! Sure it's within walking distance on a cute street with a catchy name but the wait is ridiculous- the food to be desired and the cost for what you get was ridiculous. As an out of towner and a complete foody- this was not worth my trip!
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly one of the better breakfast places I've been to in Louisville! We came in hungry but still struggled to finish our meals, generous portions and everything was delicious! The hash brown casserole was everything I needed on a Saturday morning brunch :) The service here was quick, and I am always a fan of fresh flowers for the table. There's a coffee shop attached next to this restaurant so I bet if you couldn't get a table right away you could have a nice space to wait.
google avatar

Yelp
They got 2 stars because the service was good. The food not so much. The potato's were not cooked, and not very hot. The casserole didn't have much flavor except for the sausage on top. The hash browns was very cheesy but not a great flavor cheese. I really wanted this to be great.

Jonathon M.

Yelp
Eggs over Frankfurt is an OK place to have breakfast or lunch, but I wouldn't put it up there in my favorites. First of all, it's pretty expensive and for what you pay, I don't feel like the quality of the food is worth the price. I feel like everything there is just OK. The pancakes are OK, the breakfast tacos are OK, nothing really stands out as spectacular but nothing also stands out as bad. I think seven dollars for a cup of black coffee is a little steep, but that's just me. My favorite thing on the menu would probably be the breakfast potatoes which could use a little more seasoning but overall taste pretty good. I will say the service was good, we got our food quickly and service was fast so I do appreciate that. As far as cleanliness goes, the tables were clean, but the bathroom could use some work. Overall, I think three stars it's worth it, good, but not great.

Floyd K.

Yelp
The food and service were great - lots of choices including vegan and vegetarian options. Not bargain basement prices but not completely unreasonable.

David M.

Yelp
I had breakfast there last week. Awful weak coffee. Fried potatoes must have been cooked in old oil. I just wasted $ 21. Never going back.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite brunch spot! Small and cozy with friendly staff! the food is always good and consistent! Their coffee is great as well!

Gidget P.

Yelp
The food was bland. We had eggs florentine and an omelet with hashbrown casserole. The poached eggs were fine but the English muffin was mushy and the hashbrown casserole had a sour taste that was off putting. When we received the cheque, there was a $2.55 surcharge per each egg entree that was not indicated on the menu. The waitress did not inform us regarding the surcharge either. After receiving the cheque, we noticed a small note taped to one of the condiment containers on the table that informed of the egg surcharge. Eggs are retailing for 50 cents a piece right now and wholesale is going to be less, so the $2.55 per 2 eggs surcharge is not justified. This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were very disappointed.

Teanna R.

Yelp
Quick service and the best potatoes ever! The bacon is pretty tasty as well. I split the classic with my son and he ate most it, which is impressive because he never eats.

Me T.

Yelp
Service was terrible, and It seems like they didn't want to acknowledge us (African Americans) in their establishment. The servers walk by us about 6 times, then ask us to move out the way, but never asked us if we wanted to be seated, or to let us know that there was a waiting list. We waited about 5-7mins, then left.

Christian B.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Service was great. The coffee shop attached was also a big plus. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service! We loved everything we ordered. Next door is a cafe owned by the same people. The cafe has a variety of different flavors and desserts.

Yelp
We stopped here for breakfast on our way back home... let me say, the 3.5 stars for the reviews do not do this place justice! I was a little skeptical to try the place, but was so glad we did! The hostess was absolutely a gem. Super friendly, energetic, and personable! There was about a 20 minute wait for a table. We decided to grab coffee from the coffee shop next door while we waited. Espresso was great! Food: We ordered a lot of food, lol. We wanted to try literally everything. The hot cinnamon roll was to die for. 4 of us split one as an "appetizer" - it was rich, so I'm glad we split it! All of our food was fresh, hot, and had good flavor. Their homemade jelly was outstanding, and so was their biscuits! Can't wait to go back the next time we visit Louisville!
google avatar

Yelp
GOETTA! They have GOETTA on the menu! One of the very few places in Louisville that serves it. Highly recommend trying it if you never have. This is my favorite breakfast spot. I have always visited on the weekends and even though the place is small, my wait time has been minimal. I love ordering the classic with Goetta, hashbrown casserole, and toast with their homemade jam. Sometimes I'll had a biscuit and gravy. It's the best I've ever had!

Yelp
Eggs over Frankfort is a cute and small breakfast and brunch establishment located in Frankfort ave in Lousiville Kentucky. The establishment shares a wall with a local coffee shop next door. On one side is the coffee shop and the other is this place. My wife and I stopped in here the other day for a late breakfast or as the cool people say "brunch". The place was just outside the Koenig. Rush and we was able to be sat down immediately. Very cozy and homey feeling decor here. Think small town country kitchen vibe. The worker here was super nice and friendly. Chatted it up with everyone who walked through and was super personable but also on task and quick with taking orders, getting food and refills. So great service. For our order we got a hot cinnamon roll to share. My wife orders the everything with French toast. Which is eggs, a chicken of meat. Biscuits and gravy and French toast. I personally got breakfast burrito with bacon. The food came out super quick and all together. My burrito was solid. I kinda wish it had a salsa. The pico degallo was more veggies then sauce. The bacon and cheese had nice flavor. My wife was a fan of her food. She was a huge fan of the Biscuits and gravy. I liked her French toast more then She did. I thought it had a good flavor. The cinnamon roll I thought was ok and my wife loved it. For me it was kinda doughy (which is why my wife loved it) but had amazing cream topping. Overall very cute and cool place with above average food and great service. Pricing wasn't bad at all. I'd absolutely check it out if you are in the Frankfort ave area looking for breakfast or brunch. Maybe next time I'll check out the coffee place next door. My oldest daughter loves coffee shops so maybe a good future daddy daughter date.

Yelp
What a busy little place on a late Sunday morning. I went while my wife was having g brunch a minutes away. I ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of yogurt with granola. The wait staff was great. The food was great. U really liked the yogurt and granola which both seemed to be homemade. I would definitely eat hear again if I am ever back in the Louisville area
google avatar

Yelp
I wanted to love it. Great vibe and location, shares space with a local coffee shop, homemade jellies etc. what's not to love? All I can comment on is our meals as I haven't tried everything. But I got the everything breakfast. Included eggs any style bacon sausage side and toast and French toast or pancake. Chose eggs scrambled, double bacon instead of sausage, and hash brown casserole for my side and French toast. Eggs were fine. Ordered scrambled. They were more like an omelette without ingredients, folded rather than scrambled per se. I chose Double bacon instead of sausage, "crispy". Two strips of bacon (would have expected 4 in double order), not only not crispy but not freshly cooked. Cool and chewy. Hash brown casserole was actually hash brown casserole "batter" fries like a hash brown patty. Runny and liquid on the inside. Didn't care for this at all. Although interesting concept, the batter was too wet and runny. Toast was toast. French toast was sad. Just sad. Just tastes like a piece of toast grilled instead of toasted. No egg to speak of. Orange juice fine but not fresh squeezed. My husband had a southern Benedict. Main difference was biscuit as the bread and sausage gravy instead of hollendaise. Came with only one egg. Biscuit was split open. A little on the hard crunchy side. He also got the hash brown side. I probably would not return. The three stars come from the ambiance. There are other better breakfasts in town.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a typical diner-style breakfast joint. I honestly was a quite surprised at how expensive it was. My meal, the classic combo, was almost $14 for just two eggs, two sausage patties, a biscuit and a side of fruit. My wife got the eggs in a hole which were $15 for two pieces of toast, two eggs, a side of potatoes and bacon. Service was kind and kept our coffees filled, but I'm not sure if this place is worth a second visit.
google avatar

Kristen H.

Yelp
This is the definition of a local breakfast joint. Its a busy place for the locals on weekend mornings. Its attached to a coffee shop so you can grab coffee while you wait for your table. The inside reminds me of a small town breakfast place- very homey! The menu is classic breakfast and has anything you could dream of! Try the macaroni and cheese cake!

Ricky M.

Yelp
The food was awesome! The service was awesome! The dining area by the window was cozy. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Waited 40 minutes only to discover they had ignored our name on the list. Won't be back.

Yelp
My daughter and I met on old friend here for brunch today. We were seated within 30 minutes, which I consider fine for a Sunday morning in the Crescent Hill area. All three of us had different things and all three were pretty good! I built my own omelet: goetta, onions, mushrooms, and white cheddar. It was cooked perfectly and really good. I didn't really get much goetta flavor, but maybe it's too bland of a protein to pair big flavors like caramelized onions and cheddar. On the side, I had these cheese grits that were the highlight of my meal...YUM! My friend had the wrong side with his meal, but that's not too big of a deal. Our server noticed and brought the correct thing. My biggest complaint is that we waited 50 minutes for our food after ordering. The conversation was good, so we didn't mind too much but that seems too long. It was a cute place, but it seems like the size of the kitchen may not match the amount of tables coming in & out.
google avatar

Yelp
I live right off of Frankfort Ave and just now went over there this past weekend! A great start to a beautiful spring-like weather sitting outside. I had the breakfast bowl which was so delicious with hashbrowns, sausage, and scrambled eggs. It hit the spot! If you are looking for a fun, brunch spot-- come check them out!

Mark G.

Yelp
Ok...Nothing extraordinary. standard fare. Elevated flavors and affordability is the key.

DJ C.

Yelp
Great food great service. Had veggie omelet and it was sooooo good. Husband had scrambled eggs and fruit. Will go back again. Nice quiet place and got to park right out front. Sat by the window and got to watch all the people out walking their dogs.
google avatar

Yelp
Brunch on a Saturday called for a visit to this cute little restaurant. Seat yourself and nearly immediate coffee, two wins right off the bat. Lots of options on the menu, decided to go with a build your own omelette with avocado, mushrooms, onions, and goat cheese with a side of hash brown casserole. The food was very good and even though they were pretty busy our waitress was very attentive. The hash brown casserole looks a little dark in the photo but it was still very good, cheesy and delicious. I would recommend giving them a try if you're in town!

Ligma B.

Yelp
Waited an hour for our food, finally approached our waitress, she didn't even apologize or seem to care. She completely forgot to put in our order and in the entire hour never stopped by to tell us how the food was going along in preparation. She was dirty blond, younger, and I would avoid her and this establishment as much as possible. She never even said her name or hello, the worst service I've gotten in the city.
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
This is a adorable little brunch place. I ordered the eggs Benedict. Perfect hard and soft center. They pan fried my gluten free toast. It was excellent! The homemade jam will make you come back for more! It's family owned. Dawn the server was super bubbly and quick! Street parking was no problem.

Yelp
The rain kept the crowd away during the Easter parade and we were sitting close by, ready for breakfast. This was our first visit and thankfully we only waited about 10 minutes for a table to be cleared. Seating is limited so unless you're willing to shop and come back I wouldn't recommend waiting an obnoxious amount of time for a seat. Inside there isn't much space to wait. My kids ordered the biscuits and gravy and I, along with my husband, ordered the Everything platter. The full order of biscuits and gravy is insane. I recommend splitting it with someone. We definitely wasted a full meal based on their leftovers. The gravy was great but the kids were not fans of the sweetness of the buttermilk biscuits. I highly recommend the Everything platter and it's another dish you could share and swap with someone else. The pancake was a winner as well as the eggs, bacon and sausage. I also liked the strawberry jam. The hashbrown casserole was overly cheesy and not my favorite - wish I'd gotten fruit instead after seeing others with it. Service was friendly and our waters were refilled a few times (much appreciated). They were also attentive to clearing off tables quickly for entering guests. I wish the bathrooms received the same attention. They were fairly disgusting - I've seen much cleaner gas station bathrooms. If you stop in and tables are full they do keep a waiting list at the front counter. Parking is available behind the restaurant as well as Frankfort Avenue.

Shannon H.

Yelp
Every thing was great, I would recommend this place for breakfast or brunch to anyone friendly service, comfortable ambience, and great food

Yelp
This is a cute little breakfast and lunch spot on Frankfort ave. How ironic right? Anyways, it is small on the inside so expect a wait, however the wait is WORTH it. I order the country Benedict. It was 2 over easy eggs on a biscuit with sausage and breakfast gravy. I had a side of white cheddar grits and a side of hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were by far the best part of my meal, but the biscuit, eggs, sausage and gravy were delightful as well. The white cheddar grits were quite the disappointment in an otherwise fantastic brunch. They were flavorless . I added lots of cholula to make them edible. Thus the 4 star rating. I dined with two other people, one got the quesadilla and another the omelette. Both enjoyed their meals but made the comment that mine was the best! However, the blueberry jam was AMAZING! I want to go back to try the other jam flavors! If you're looking for a good brunch, try this place and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I had been eyeing Eggs Over Frankfort for about as long as I have been on Yelp. Brunch is one of the highlights of my weekend, and I love to try out new brunch spots on Sundays. Eggs Over Frankfurt was good. I may have set my expectations a little too high with it being on Frankfort Ave., but I wasn't too wowed by it. I was surprised when we came in on a Sunday and didn't have to wait for a table (We did come a bit earlier than the usual crowd though.) It's a very tiny restaurant, but it's cute. I'm not sure if they had something wrong with they're AC the day we came in but it was scorching hot the whole time we were in there. This also caused flies to be all over us from the door being left open. We had an awesome server, and our service was pretty quick too. They didn't have mimosas, bloody mary's or any type of alcohol on their menu. No biggie, just a place that seems like they would. I ordered the french toast and it was pretty tasty. My boyfriend got an omelette that looked good as well. I tried some of his hash browns, which I liked...they have a nice spicy kick to them. I do like this place, but there are a lot of other brunch spots in Louisville that I like a lot better. I wouldn't really come out of my way to come back unless someone else wanted to come here.

Justin H.

Yelp
Had food delivered. Very good! First time eating it, will definitely order again. Next time will eat in the restaurant.

Barbara K.

Yelp
Great breakfast place. The egg in a hole made with sourdough is great. Really good biscuits and gravy. Great service. It's a must try in Louisville.

Justin C.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal here. Hippie, country breakfast done right! Love the staff & be sure to meet the owner, Lauren!
google avatar

Rafael C.

Yelp
Great service, right away very welcoming right at the door. Good atmosphere and definately made me feel like cafeteria from back home but at the same time with their own touch and uniqueness. Food came out just as we order and the time to get it on the table really fast. Coffee is really really GOOD!! I will come back again for sure!!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in last minute while waiting on Bourbon so to open. GREAT IDEA! Had the classic, 2 eggs, choice of meat, side, toast. I had Applewood smoked bacon, Weisenberger cheese grits, sourdough toast, eggs over medium. It was eventful. Bacon was super flavorful, crisp, eggs were perfect, cheese grits were divine. Best part...homemade jams for toast! I chose strawberry (excellent), but they offered mango, tropical, as well as blueberry lemon. The coffee shop next door also excellent too! Owner was there, Lauren, and she was kind to talk about how she makes her jams. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This breakfast and brunch spot always has a wait on the weekends, and it's easy to see why! Welcoming waitstaff, hearty and fresh food (especially the house made jam), and a cozy location on Frankfort Ave all combine to make it a great spot to grab a bite! I have visited several times, but went most recently with a friend to grab a quick breakfast on a weekday when I was off work. For that day, we were seated and served so quickly that it was almost a fast food joint! I'm kidding somewhat, but it was very efficient and our server was friendly. The food here is always so fresh and hearty. I often sub egg whites for whole eggs in an omelet (I don't think this is an up charge, but check the menu when you're there to make sure that hasn't changed). I like to get the toast with house made jam as my side when I go, it is always flavorful and not too sweet. In a city full of egg-cellent brunch options, Eggs over Frankfort is definitely one to put on your list!
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
I just had the best egg white omelette. Fixed the way I wanted. You can't even tell it's egg whites. The toast and jam was good too.

Yelp
The foot was sooo good! This was our first time here and it was very difficult trying to choose because everything on the menu sounded delicious! We went with the biscuits over gravy and they were delicious!! The restaurant was small and intimate. The service was great, there was one waitress on staff and every table was seated. She did an amazing job taking care of all Of her tables with a positive and friendly attitude!

Yelp
So I went there with a WDRB coupon. She says it stated we have to print it out. Which it does not. When I showed them how to just enter the web address on there iPhones they refused. Then I said well Ill have to print it somewhere. She said we close soon but the library is up the street. I walk to the library, print the paper out go back to pay and she says they cant give me my change. They are a changeless restaurant. So you refuse to provide me service when all of you iPhones and you refuse to give me my change. Service is horrible.
