5 Great Restaurants to Try This Weekend in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"A cult-favorite egg-forward sandwich shop offering breakfast sandwiches centered on luxurious eggs; the house-made turkey sausage sandwich with over-medium egg, cheddar, and honey mustard aioli on brioche is a signature that helped launch the brand’s popular lines across locations." - Eater Staff

Eggslut

Shawn S.

Google
Best breakfast sandwich place. The lineup was huge and had to wait around 15 minutes for the food but it was definitely worth it. The eggs are so soft and perfectly seasoned. Along with the bun made an excellent and satisfying sandwich experience. It is fun to see the staff churning out dozens of sandwiches at a time.

Google
Eggslut Glendale serves up some of the best breakfast sandwiches around — soft scrambled eggs, buttery brioche buns, and bold flavors like the Fairfax and Slut that live up to the hype. The space is bright and modern, though lines can get long and portions lean small for the price. Still, it’s a tasty and satisfying stop if you’re craving a gourmet egg fix.

Google
The name kind of says it all. Every dish had eggs and was freshly made. Their hashbrowns were delicious. The staff was friendly. There’s a fast speed vibe at this place so don’t expect the staff to focus on you too much. Limited indoor seating, but they do have some outdoor seating. Try the orange juice. It was great!

Google
Five stars for the Fairfax sandwich and/or the Slut. The Fairfax is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had - and that’s the basic Fairfax with no extras. The brioche bun is perfect, the cheddar is just that right strength and the sriracha sauce is used sparingly. There’s a tasty little surprise in the center, too. I recommend the orange juice and the Slut as well. I don’t recommend anything else. Know upfront that the food is rich. You order at the counter; it’s not a sit down full service restaurant. They close at 2.

Claire

Google
good egg sandwich - fluffy eggs and it’s not too greasy

Google
I wanted to like it. You must really love eggs and grease to enjoy this place. I ordered a cheeseburger and I did not read the ingredients but it comes with an egg. The french toast sticks are greasy and taste like a churro. The hash browns were probably the only good thing on the menu. Mind you, we all know you need to fry these so the grease was expected. Pretty pricey would not eat here again.

Google
It the name cringy? Yes. Is the food overpriced? Also, yes. But it's GOOD, so I'll give them their flowers.

This is a great breakfast restaurant, I recommend this place, thank you guys

Yelp
I figured this shop would be overrated because it's so popular but it's sooo good! I was browsing the menu when I walked in and the cashier asked if I've been here before then explained the popular menu items. She was really sweet! It was also a bit empty in there since it was a Tuesday morning so I was able to easily grab a seat. The sausage and egg sandwich: it was okay! Nothing to write home about but the brioche bread made it super filling. Not a ton of flavor but I'd get a different menu item next time. The truffle hash browns: amazing 10/10 no notes. I'll definitely be returning for those hash browns and to try the other menu items!

Yelp
We were fairly disappointed at our recent visit to Eggslut. We have been to other branches before and remember luscious, delicious sandwiches and this experience it was not. We had the Fairfax sandwich - nice flavor with caramelized onions and eggs cooked perfectly but too salty, and we usually can tolerate a reasonable amount of salt. The sausage was also fairly dry and oversalted as well. Burger was flavorful and not too salty, but lots of pepper and meat greatly overcooked. On a whole, eggs were still cooked nicely but the rest of the sandwiches were pretty blah. Cinnamon cream cold brew was surprisingly tasty.

Yelp
I love your food. I do. I order from you all the time. But holy mother of God. What is the point of having the slut coddled eggs on your menu if your jars are so tightly shut that your customers cannot open them. I should not have to leave the Slut jar under scalding hot water for five minutes and bruise my hands PRYING it open before it finally relents and opens so I can actually eat it. My hands are genuinely red and blistered and are in so much pain. This has never been an issue before today. Your jars have always opened with ease. I genuinely do not understand how this happened today. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my GOD.

Yelp
The customer service was fantastic. The cashier was very nice and welcoming. The service itself took a little bit but it is nice seeing them cook everything to order. The staff appeared happy and looked to get along very well too which is always pleasant to see The inside was pretty empty but very clean. There were a few other people there but nothing crazy. The food! So the orange juice is definitely a must! The hashbrowns were alright. They were nice and crispy and also pretty thick. They kind of lacked some seasoning though, maybe some extra salt and pepper would've made the difference. They were also a little soggy in the inside. The Fairfax sandwich with their Dijon-aise was pretty good. After a few bites however, the "wetness" of the eggs got a little bit too much for me. I'm not sure if it is the Dijon-aise sauce that made them like that or what, but it kind of became a bit overpowering after a while. The eggs themselves were delicious and nicely seasoned, just too soggy for me.

Yelp
I always wanted to get eggslut to see what the hype was about and was overall not disappointed but not fully satisfied either. We were glad that there is a Glendale location so it was more accessible to us compared to the other location. Service was nice and quick and it wasn't a bad place to eat at. We had the Fairfax and the egg salad sandwich. At the time they didn't have hash browns available. The sandwiches were honestly good, but not having like had browns or fries kinda made it overly simple, or something just felt missing. I realized how much I'm used to it or how much fries or some kind of side and such would complement it well!

Yelp
I finally made it over to Eggslut and the food was good but not exactly earth-shattering. The sandwich was fine, nothing I'd go chasing across town for, but the potato tots had me weak. Crispy, salty, golden perfection. Honestly they were the Beyoncé of the whole meal, stealing the spotlight from everything else. The service was a rollercoaster. The business was open but the restrooms were mysteriously locked, and then suddenly everything opened right as the crowd started rolling in. Luckily we beat the rush, but it all felt a little chaotic. The saving grace of the whole experience was Sonia at the register. She was warm, she was bubbly, she asked how everything was, and when we said it was good she lit up like she just won an award. If I could rate her separately, she'd get five stars on her own. Overall it was fun to try once, but between the restroom drama and the slightly messy vibe, I don't think I'll be rushing back. Sonia, though, if you're reading this, you're the real MVP.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
First off, Sonia was very polite and offered a sample of the orange juice, which was very friendly of her. The Fairfax sandwich was a 9/10. It was creamy, full of flavor, and very savory. The vanilla cold brew coffee was delicious. The cold brew alone without the cold foam was good. Once I mixed the cold foam and coffee, it was a perfect combination. The orange juice was hands squeezed, which as a person who likes natural fruit drinks, was a huge plus. One of the best orange juices I've ever tried. Overall, the service from Sonia was a 10/10, friendly and polite. The food and drinks were a 9/10. The only thing I would change is that I wish they added strips of bacon to the Fairfax. Will return again and order something different to see what other food sandwiches they have! Thank you EGGSLUT!
google avatar

Megan J.

Yelp
TLDR: Order the Fairfax, thank me later. Consider taking a bite before leaving, and if stale (a complaint I'm seeing in many 1-3star reviews), talk to the employees about a remake -- they want you leaving happy with your order! See my 2023 review for Venice location: https://www.yelp.com/biz/eggslut-los-angeles-8?hrid=hDnCa1RjVF50pbOaad_usg&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Longer: I saw a photo on social media years (over a decade??) ago when social media was poor quality photos with weird filters (RIP) and bookmarked in my gMaps to try whenever convenient while in LA. I'm a big fan of breakfast sandwiches, but don't usually bother to eat outside of my house 'cause paying someone else to make something I make really well (at a fraction of the cost) does not usually compute. Eggslut, for whatever reason, felt like it would be different. Boy, oh boy, am I grateful I finally got the chance to try a few years ago, and now make every effort to sink my teeth into a sandwich at least once per trip to LA. Looks like locations in Hong Kong and Singapore recently closed. Since global expansion isn't the move, how about SF? Or is the cost of eggs (half joking) causing friction in the business? Seems plenty of people reviewing this location are new to the club, so the market is not saturated stateside. I can't speak to the ambience nor IRL service, as I've only ordered delivery from this location, but my deliveries have always been packaged perfectly for transit, arriving as if I just walked into the shop and picked it up myself. I can see how a stale brioche would turn the experience sour real quick, but thankfully for once I've landed on the upper side of luck.

Yelp
If you love eggs you'll love their sandwiches. We tried the Fairfax. It's served on a soft brioche bread and their eggs have a soft fluffy texture with a little kick of spice. We also tried their egg salad sandwich. It was also tasty with their honey mustard aioli. The only complaint I had with our meal was the truffle hash brown. It was a little on the salty side. We went on a Sunday around 11 and there was a small line. We also had to wait around 10 min for our food. Street parking is available around the area. Some seating inside as well as some on the outside as well. Overall a good experience and would visit again.

Yelp
This was my first time having Eggslut when I've heard about it so much for so long and I was NOT disappointed AT ALL. The service was wonderful, we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and friendly conversation. The cashier asked if I had been there before and when I replied no, he kindly went over the menu for me and gave me some recommendations, which answered all the questions I had in my head. He was patient while I took time to choose and made sure anything specific was noted. When my food was ready, another person gave it with another genuine smile and wished me a happy day. The interior looked quaint, we took our order to go but I'd love to stay next time. The food, THE FOOD!!!! It was DELICIOUS!!! Literally mouthwatering, I almost went to get more to take home. I'm going to find any excuse to go back and I really wish I had one nearby. I don't know how I will ever live without it

Yelp
Pretty good breakfast sandwich with all the goodies that I usually look for in an ideal breakfast sandwich! Personally I still prefer "Muffin can stop us" down the street, but it's still worth a try. For 2 bacon/cheese/egg sandwiches, 2 orange juices, and 2 potato hash browns, I paid $50. I found this to be a bit overpriced, however everything in this city is just sky rocketing in price, so unfortunately this is reality. The staff had an assembly line of sandwiches going simultaneously, so I'm not quite sure why it took 20mins for our meal to be ready. But thankfully I found the meal worth the wait, and enjoyed my (very messy!) sandwich. Adding the avocado (for additional $2.50) was worth it, in my opinion. The orange juice was also really good! I'd recommend it :) Overall this was a nice experience and I'd come back!

Yelp
I was shopping at the Galleria and I really needed a good breakfast to tide me over. Eggslut was right around the corner so we had to try it. We got their breakfast sandwiches (turkey, egg & cheese) and we also tried the French toast sticks served with maple custard. It's kind've the ideal breakfast sandwich. The brioche bun is so soft. The eggs are perfectly cooked, not over or under. And the cheese and honey mustard sauce bring it all together. My biggest qualm was that I could probably have eaten a second one, it was over for me in about 4 bites. The French toast sticks were equally awesome. Every edge of the brioche bread was crispy fried, the bread inside was soft, every millimeter was coated in cinnamon sugar, and it went great with the sweet and creamy custard. That is worth splurging on. It does get crowded, you should mostly just come here for a quick breakfast or take it to go somewhere. They do have some seating but it gets busy and can be limited. If you're nearby, and craving quick but delicious breakfast food, this is a great choice.

Yelp
Came here on 1/3 Friday around 10am. There was no line!! We ordered an egg salad sandwich and a slut for take out. Egg salad sandwich was flavorful. It has lots of ingredients. Kinda messy to eat but still was very delicious. Slut came with 3 slices of baguettes. It was good but I thought was a bit bland. I didn't realize it didn't come with bacons and it costs an extra $3.50 for bacons! It's a bit pricey to add bacon I think. And if there's no bacon, I wish it could have more flavor or salt in the potato purée.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Super delicious! My friend and I ordered online through Uber Eats and they had it ready by the time we walked in. The bacon, egg, and cheese was really tasty with a nice savory sauce, over medium egg, and crunchy bacon. I would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Renee C.

Yelp
Was recommended a lot to try the grand central location but came to this one out of convenience (more parking and seating space). Not sure if it was this location, but my sandwich was a lil too greasy and did not have much other flavor. It wasn't bad but not amazing either, especially considering the price. The sandwich immediately fell apart after one bite and my fingers got super greasy. The hash browns portion was pretty small, and also kinda oily and salty.
google avatar

Nick L.

Yelp
I frequented the location at GCM many many years ago, and decided to try it again to see how it compared to the original location, especially after the concept was sold While the sandwich has definitely shrunk and the ratios were a little off, the bacon, egg, and cheese was still delicious. It's still a proper breakfast sandwich. The real star are the truffle hashbrowns-- I'd swing by just for these tbh.
google avatar

S W.

Yelp
Their signature burger most likely is Fairfax, and it is good, the egg inside the bun wasn't very hot just warm, I think it's the right temperature. I think it will be better if bacon added to it. I waited for awhile to order since the cook is also the one taking the order. It didn't take long for the food to come out. The place is clean inside and outside.
google avatar

Jaime E.

Yelp
Wow I've been craving this sandwich for 3 years. I'm super happy I found this location. Great location no waiting and quality is amazing. The breakfast sandwiches were amazing and the truffle infused hashbrowns are a must try. We did have the 2 new cold coffees and they were pretty good. We forgot to take pictures. The staff was super friendly and made recommendations for when we see the Vegas location again. Thank you.
google avatar

George G.

Yelp
Pretty good option for a chain here in Glendale CA. The food came quick and the truffle hash browns are a must have!
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
The service wasn't great but the food was decent. The lady at the counter wast very friendly when taking my order. She didn't put napkins or dipping sauce in my to-go order. I got the, Bacon, Egg & Cheese with a side of Truffle Hash Browns. The hash browns were crispy and very well seasoned. Very hot. The sandwich came with two crispy strips of bacon, eggs any way (standard is over medium), on a brioche bun. The yolk was not too runny, just enough runny to cover the bacon. The ambience is nothing special. You see the cooks behind the cash register cooking and there are inside and outside seating.
google avatar

Trevor L.

Yelp
Great sandwiches and simple. Would definitely recommend getting 3 eggs in it. The slut is okay not my favorite due to having a lot of butter. Garlic hash browns. The French toast best thing ever, one of the softest and airy ones I've ever had. Highly recommend
google avatar

Shahada V.

Yelp
Soooo...this was a bummer. I drove 40miles for an EggSlut fix and it was meh :/ I have been to Downtown location four times, Venice twice and Glendale 3x's. Glendale has consistently let me down. 2nd visit I was told that they ran out of hash browns. This visit I was told that the hashbrowns were not from the same vendor and I could definitely tell the difference. Also, I asked for the Fairfax to be remade, there was literally a dot of the carmelized onions. The chef said that's how it's supposed to be made. I pointed out that the photo shows the onions so that what I want to see when I get the order. Anyway. This is getting long but before spending $70 for 2 just know it may not be the best. Try downtown....it's literally Waaaaaaaay better!
google avatar

Eloy G.

Yelp
Visited this place while staying close by and it was a solid breakfast choice. The egg sandwich was good but the French toast sticks were the best. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. I would give it 3.5 stars as there was no coffee so had to wait about 10 mins for coffee to be made and my food was already. Yes I'm one that has to have a beverage with my meal. It was 9:30am and you would think at this time you would not run out of coffee and be checking to make sure. Also the staff didn't tell me the sandwich came with ketchup. I haven't had ketchup with my eggs since I was a kid and not my cup of tea. That put a damper on my sandwich and should have asked ahead of time. The ambiance was cool and I by. I would consider in the future if I don't find another good breakfast in the area.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
My first experience with Eggslut wasn't great and I gave that location a 1 star. However this location was awesome. All the food was phenomenal and was prepared quickly. And the service was excellent. All the employees we spoke to were extremely friendly and provided great service.
google avatar

Ehecatl M.

Yelp
If you haven't visited EGGSLUT then you're definitely missing out!! Walking distance from the Glendale gallery, so after shopping or before shop would be ideal. Only negative is that Place is very small, so if you come With a few ppl you might not have find a table inside, and the parking situation can be a nightmare (would recommend parking at the galleria) I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage and bacon and omg sooooo much taste, different layers of tastefulness! The hash browns are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, nice and crispy with full of Flavor not disgustingly greased up !! Can be pricey, but definitely worth it every dollar and calorie!!!!
google avatar

Kayla S.

Yelp
Honestly, I came in just for the name. Super cute inside! The cashier was so friendly and sweet she greeted us upon entry which I appreciated. Not too much seating so this is definitely a quick eat and go place. The food was decent, we did take it to go. We got 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwhiches, which we added Avocado! Super yummy and filling! With a side of truffle hashbrowns... seasoned and crispy! We also had to try their French toast sticks! Yummo! No complaints here I'd definitely come again (:
google avatar

Bryanne H.

Yelp
Came around 10am and it was not crowded at all. The workers were all kind and helpful. She told us it would take about 10 minutes for everything to be ready and that was exactly correct. I got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and added avocado. It was delicious! Bacon was so crunchy! My one negative was that there was alot of chipotle ketchup on my sandwhich which I wasn't a fan of. I would ask for it on the side or light next time!
google avatar

Maritza S.

Yelp
Ordered for take out! Service was quick, took about 13 min to get my order. Girl working at the register was super friendly and helpful. The overall energy at this place was great. I ordered the two vegetarian sandwiches! The egg salad sandwich was okay, but the other vegetarian sandwich was yummy! Tater tots with sauce was also very good. Orange juice was pricey but had very good taste!
google avatar

Bethany R.

Yelp
I ordered on Uber Eats and it did take a while to get to me but this place is really popular so that's to be expected. I got a couple things and the tatertots were some of the best I've ever had. They were so crispy and the truffle oil added a nice touch without being overwhelming. The bacon, egg, and cheese was also delicious and the flavors were nicely balanced. The last thing I got were the French toast sticks and they were very disappointing. The texture was off amd it tasted mostly of egg. The custard dipping sauce was nasty and they'd be better off just doing maple syrup instead of trying to be fancy. It was also really pricey at $8 just to get 3 nasty french toast sticks. Overall I would order again but steer clear of the French toasts sticks.

megan f.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to try their sandwiches for a while and was a little disappointed. Although the sandwich is really good, I found the eggs to be a little too rich and oily and the bun wasn't stable enough to hold the soft scrambled eggs. I also ordered the truffle hash browns (didn't take a picture) and they didn't taste like truffle at all but were still okay.
google avatar

Yelp
As a preface, I was first taken to an ES at the market in downtown LA by a friend a few years ago, and my initial disgust with the blatant misogynistic bigotry of the place's name was outweighed by the undeniably outstanding flavor of their burgers and the sloppy-good eggs they put on top of them. That name still rankles (if they wanted to be all edgy and stuff they should've swapped two letters and just opted for "EggLust.") But a few days ago - on a Friday - I needed to go to the anthill which downtown Glendale has been transformed into by its "city planners"; I was hungry, there it was, and there was only one other party seated way at the back, so... No indication of any problems at first, I just walked up and did the order. The guy at the till seemed friendly enough, and I added the 20% tip option despite the fact that it pushed the bill to the neighborhood of an incredible $40 for one person - because as a working man I understand that people working in the hospitality business don't always get the support they deserve. So I picked up the order and sat down at the counter facing the front windows. That's when things started getting weird. When I unwrapped the burger to dig in, I noticed an unmistakable sound from the kitchen staff behind me. It's that sound I've heard coming from random haters and bullies all my life, their signature sound of giggly, giddy anticipation of doing something rotten to a victim. It was weird but I just shined it on. When I took my first bite two things happened: The kitchen staff started up with raucous laughter - again with that unmistakable tinge of contemptuous malice - and the egg and a bunch of other slippery stuff slid right out onto the plate. Since my body was in the way they didn't see that, just the fact that I'd taken a bite, so that wasn't the reason they were laughing. I turned around and everybody behind that counter was looking right at me and laughing at me. Very, very weird. So my first thought was that maybe the cook blew a wad of phlegm onto the burger when he was putting it together, and that that was the big joke. Or maybe he dropped it on the floor and put it back on the bun. Or maybe they just thought I looked funny or something? Whatever. When you get hit with this kind of unprovoked derision from the kitchen you realize that any of the above is speculation, and that short of packing the food up in a plastic bag and taking it to a lab for analysis there's no way to know for sure. In hindsight I really think somebody should. Because I was hungry and all of the slimy stuff had slid onto the plate - along with the egg, which unlike the rest was pretty definitively yellow - I just ate the burger patties and the bun, and hit the road. I figured if that's what they actually did, well unless I get sick I should maybe thank the guy for the extra protein? "What does not kill me makes me stronger," don'cha know. It also got me thinking to motive, so what would it be? Boredom? Garden-variety malice? Maybe they didn't like the color of my skin? (Everybody back there was a different ethnicity than mine, incidentally. I really have no use for any of that "ethnic identity" trivia, for myself or for anybody else, but at the same time I realize that for a lot of people in LA, their racial trivia is a big, big deal.) Whatever. All I can do is present what I experienced. But the two things I do know with absolute certainty is that 1.) the staff of this EggSlut location are completely unsupervised and out of control, and 2.) this will be the last time I ever go near any EggSlut, anywhere, unless I hear reports of new ownership and a top-to-bottom housecleaning. I have plenty of alternate options that do not include *this*. It's a tangential thing, but I think every restaurant kitchen in the country should have mandatory video monitoring and that anybody caught actually tainting food should be brought up on felony charges. But that's just me. I go to a restaurant for nourishment and maybe a few minutes of relaxation. I don't go to a restaurant to be attacked, in any way, by a malicious staff. Something else I noticed is a placard on the wall that announces, seemingly proudly, that they will not accept cash. (see attached pic.) So add EggSlut to that small clutch of businesses that have clicked their heels and adopted the Orwellian-fascist model of "digital currency" and therefore total forfeiture of our financial privacy. That's a separate thing, but another kick in the gut from these people. And all of this is a shame, because EggLust makes some seriously tasty burgers, maybe even as good as 5 Guys or In-n-Out. When you're *just* getting the burger, that is. But never again. "Disgust" doesn't even scratch the surface here. [Addendum: Based on the identical canned response I'm seeing beneath every negative review I'm pretty sure that ES management will say they've "missed the mark here" yadayada. These people just do not care.]

Yelp
Been here a few times and it's pretty good. I've tried a few things on the menu and finally settled on what I like. My favorite is the Fairfax. I was initially reluctant to get it because places like McDonald's and Burger King have conditioned me to think egg is part of a breakfast sandwich, but you need bacon or sausage to make it complete. The Fairfax doesn't have either of those, but what it does have are the fluffiest eggs I've ever had on a breakfast sandwich. The caramelized onions are subtle and the sriracha even more so. I didn't even realize it was there at first. And while I usually like to pile on ingredients I like, I think the Fairfax follows a sort of "less is more" approach that works well. Sausage, bacon, extra onions or more sriracha would ruin it. In fact, I'm thinking of asking them to hold the cheese next time just to see how that goes. That's probably my only complaint about the Fairfax, that it's a little on the salty side, so maybe the cheese? The sausage, egg, & cheese sandwich is good. But it basically tastes like a higher quality McDonald's offering of the same. The quality is better, but it's not doing anything different than McDonald's except better ingredients. The egg salad sandwich was a little disappointing. I could tell it was decent for what it was supposed to be, but in the end, it just didn't appeal to me. I'm not a huge fan of egg salad, and I was just hoping maybe Eggslut's version would win me over, so that one's kinda on me. The truffle hashbrowns are okay. Again the comparison to McDonald's because they not only taste similar, they look similar. If there were tiers of fast food hashbrowns, these would be one step above Mcdonald's. Which is okay, but nothing to write home about. Last, the slut. I love eggs. That's why I was drawn to this place, and why I'm writing such a long review. And I gotta say: I didn't like it. I was hoping to have found yet another variation of eggs that I would like, and I just didn't end up enjoying it at all. That was disappointing. But they don't need to worry since I will keep coming back for the Fairfax. I would give it four or four and a half stars, but I will round up to help keep places like these going. Note: I would avoid the Philz and the Joe & the Juice next door. I would totally prefer having more small businesses and mom and pop places than say Starbucks or Jamba Juice, but these places kinda make me realize why Sbux and Jamba are big: they make a better product. Sometimes you find a really good hidden gem, but these ain't it.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time last weekend. It's a cute cozy breakfast spot. I got the slut, which was a coddled egg with potato puree and served with toasted baguette slices which was pretty good. My boyfriend got the Fairfax sandwich, and he couldn't stop raving about how soft and creamy the eggs were. I also got a coffee which was ok. The truffle hash brown were to die for though. My favorite for sure. The place gets super crowded, especially on the weekends, so that's something to keep in mind. All in all though, it was a worthwhile experience.

Yelp
I remember when Eggslut had a single location at the food halls and then they opened one in Vegas. I have seen several locations during my trip to LA this time so I had to stop by one and it's just as good as I remembered. We came after 1 on a weekday so we didn't have to wait for tables. I ordered the Fairfax sandwich and the truffle Hashbrowns. The Fairfax is delicious and the egg is fluffy with a lot of flavor. The brioche bun is perfectly warmed. I should've added bacon because their bacon is really good too. The Hashbrowns are tasty. The truffle really brings the flavor out and the Hashbrowns are actually crunchy. I usually don't like truffle flavored items but the truffle isn't too overwhelming.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Egg Slut for years and got the chance today while on vacation. The Glendale location was 5 minutes from the hotel I was staying at so we decided to head there for breakfast on Sunday morning. Parking was easy in the back of the building but there is a fee. I think it was $1.75 for 30 minutes. The building is on the smaller side so if it's busy it may be hard to eat there. I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese and my husband had the double burger and hash browns. I knew there would be an over easy egg on the sandwich but I forgot to ask for the soft scramble (my fault) so when I bit into the sandwich, all the yolk squirted out. The sausage was under seasoned but the brioche was fantastic. You can't go wrong with a soft pillowy bread. The hash browns were really good - I like the herbs that were in it. My husband really enjoyed his burger. I know others have said the price is high for an egg sandwich but it's a pretty hefty sized sandwich so it was worth the price to me. It was just OK to me. My rating would be a 4 if it wasn't for the under seasoned sausage.

Yelp
We tried the scrambled egg sandwich, the hashbrowns, and the slut. The scrambled eggs on the sandwich were excellent. Probably the softest and fluffiest scrambled eggs I've ever had. I wish they sold them on their own. Hash browns were very good as well not a lot of truffle flavor if you were sensitive to that and the slut was pretty good.

Yelp
The most delicious breakfast sandwich in LA, and is absolutely famous for a reason. Their French toast sticks were also delicious!

Yelp
Sandwiches were absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and came out so quick! They also had great cold brew coffee!

Yelp
I visited the Glendale location today and was looking forward to it. The cashier was great. I waited over 30 minutes for a bacon egg and cheese with hash browns, togo. When I got home I was completely underwhelmed. There was barely any egg on my sandwich. How are you going to call yourself Eggslut when you're not giving up any Eggs? It was more of a bacon and cheese sandwich. The hash browns were good though. Why am I waiting 30 minutes for a bacon egg and cheese? I can make that in less than 10 minutes at home, with the proper organization. It seems like some establishments like to make you wait for long periods of time to make themselves look busier than they are. But to have us wait and the food not be top tier is a crime.

Yelp
To sum it up.. Nice place, ok food. I've never been able to eat at eggslut before because I've only seen it at the Grand Central Market and the line is always insanely long. The place was small but clean and it wasn't busy so we were able to sit down right away. The food was "ok". I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was just a little underwhelming, probably because the anticipation was just too high. Maybe I'm also a little lowbrow and like a good McDonald's sausage mcmuffin anyways. But the hasbrowns, although they had a great truffle flavor, were super salty and so was the bacon. Like.. super salty. Other than that, but egg sandwich was good and my wife got the eggslut and it tasted kind of like mashed potatoes more than anything.

Yelp
Good and hearty breakfast food. Parking is quite hard to find. Service is fast and professional. Coffee is great quality cold brew (10/10). There not a lot of seats inside but turnover is fast so we got our seat almost immediately. There's indoor and outdoor seatings. Patrons mostly younger people, at least when we were there today

Yelp
If you've been to SoCal, you've probably heard of Eggslut before. In my opinion though, it's not quite worth visiting. The interior is clean and modern, and the service is nice and prompt. However, the food lacks a bit when you consider the price. The bacon egg and cheese tastes fairly normal, and is fairly small. The hash browns do have a bit of truffle flavor, but they're very oily. This particular store is located in a central location so parking can be a bit of a hit or miss!

Yelp
We come to Glendale once a year, and I remember hearing that there was an Eggslut here, but never been. When we searched Google maps, and it was only 2 blocks from our location, we walked over. There was a line, but it moved fairly quickly. The inside had a neon " Egglsut" on its furthest wall. I recently had to give up carbs, so I opted for the bunless version of their sausage sandwich. It still held up pretty good! Nice to know I can still come here with food restrictions!

Yelp
So yeah, everyone's been to Eggslut, right? It's good, but expensive for what you're getting. That's the bottom line for me. Two Fairfax specials with sausage and two hash browns came out to like 30-plus bucks. Geez. Sausage also had this weird texture, almost like the precooked Jimmy Dean ones you get in the frozen section. Velvety, runny style eggs were on point, though, as always. For the hash browns, you get complimentary ketchup or their spicy mayo. The latter works really well, but unfortunately they give you these really tiny containers that you can't fully dip into because the tots hash is much bigger. Location is in middle of the consumer section of Glendale, with limited parking spots in the back. Easy to get in and out, if it's not too busy obviously. This is a good spot to try out, once in a blue moon.

Yelp
Great place to go if you like eggs and a heavier breakfast. The line was pretty long when we went on a Sunday but the wait wasn't too bad. There is not a whole lot of seating inside but if you're going in a huge group it's not an issue. Service is good and would get again if I was in the area

Yelp
yummy two of my favorite thing's eggs and breakfast! Had eggslut when I went to Las Vegas and thought it was pretty good. was staying in Glendale for a couple of days and decided to try eggslut again. Well let me say that I am glad I gave it another try. This place was fast, friendly, and the sandos were bigger than the ones at the other location. What we ordered and rating: sausage, egg, and cheese 5/5 cheeseburger with extra patty 4tr/5 truffle hashbrowns 5/5 coffee 5/5 (pretty strong)

Yelp
For the amount of attention that Eggslut gets, I think it's definitely overrated. Sure, the egg sandwich is good, but it's just an egg sandwich. And for $10, I was disappointed. Eggslut is located in a busy area with lots of other food options. The line moves fairly quickly but it's usually long, so be prepared to wait a little. Here's my breakdown: Bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich: Just look at the picture. It's underwhelming how little was actually inside my sandwich. The cheese was melted and by the time I got to sit down to eat, half of it had slipped out of my sandwich and into the bag. They add chipotle ketchup to both the top and bottom bun, and I personally thought it drowned out all the other flavors. Now for the positives... the bacon was great! Not sure what kind of bacon they use but the flavor is there and the crisp is perfect. I also really love the square bag packaging. I also got an orange juice. It was just a basic oj, not worth $4 in my opinion! Eggslut was definitely okay, but I won't be stopping by next time I'm in LA.
