Now I heard about this from IG( to which they posted a pop-up soft opening about their items @ Shuckers, a seafood restaurant located inside the Fairmont Olympic Hotel last weekend, which I missed out of) but was curious to this debut.
It's a breakfast/brunch fast casual chain w/locations in California and Nevada (Las Vegas, Rio resort in fact) along with a few outside USA (1 in Japan but a bunch in London, UK) best known for egg sandwiches and the like! The service there is incredible, timing is most definitely impeccable, but the food? Well they speak for themselves...
Let's start with what I ordered. I went with first their French Toast Sticks. They're not those you mostly think of in terms of say Burger King version, but rather a thick brioche stick slab, dipped in egg batter, fried golden brown, dusted with powdered sugar, and served with not normal pancake syrup, BUT a delectable maple custard sauce I believe you probably would fight over. Next are their Truffle Hashbrowns, for which they're hashbrown patty bites fried, tossed in duck fat(you can certainly as it in vegetarian mode), and sprinkled in truffle rosemary salt. And finally after some tossups of which sandwiches to try, I landed with a couple of their signature Halifax, which is a soft scramble with chives(and if you want, add bacon or chicken sausage) topped w/cheddar cheese, caramelized onions with a sriracha Mayo on brioche bun. Tasty good.
The value is good, but 1 little setback from a complete 5 star, the payment. Particularly it would be good if they take cash, but they went cashless, which was opening mistake. But a kind stranger paid for it(gave him $40 for my troubles), but overall, a well oiled establishment.
