Unfortunately, I did not check the reviews for this place or I would have gone somewhere else. After I ordered, I waited over 15 minutes for my food, and had to ultimately leave my order behind to avoid missing my flight. If you are on a tight schedule (which most people are when they’re traveling) and you wish to eat the food you’re paying for, I recommend going somewhere different. The atmosphere was average, I have nothing positive or negative to say about that.

Google
I should have checked the reviews before ordering. Service was very slow. Big cooking griddle but one person who was making one thing at a time. I waited about 25 minutes for a breakfast burrito. He really took pains to cook the burrito on all4 sides on the outside BUT inside was full of liquid - either uncooked egg or melting cheese or both. Pretty bad tasting overall. Good person making it but he just doesn't have sufficient training and insufficient motivation to work faster.

Google
Disappointed. The service was so slow and took them 45min to make a breakfast sandwich. After asking the server, if my food was ready (again) she handed to me and said if I was so impatient I could take without potatoes. The heck! Impatient? I waited for FAST FOOD for 45min!

Google
I would give this place zero out of zero stars if I could. I had it at the Newark airport and paid $50 when I could have went to McDonalds or Waffle House for a more satisfying meal. Worst meal I've had in a while. Do not recommend.

Google
Don’t order here unless you have 30 mins to waste… because that’s how long it takes to get a breakfast sandwich. They’re too busy talking and making food for their co-workers.!! Totally unacceptable, where’s the manager.? I would not recommend this place.

Gabriella

Google
I had somewhat low expectations for Eggy Weggy given that it’s airport food. However, I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the Omelettes. They were cheesy and delicious, and the vegetables inside were fresh. The potatoes were even good as well and were nicely seasoned. However, as all food in the airport is, it is overpriced.

Google
Don’t know how this place got 4.5 stars!! I ordered a breakfast burger and the selfmade Omelett. My burger was ready and I had to wait another 10minutes for the inlet so my burger was COLD!staff is unfriendly and ignores us. UNFRIENDLY!!!!!!!! Food is OK. Would had been better if it had been warm. Omlett looks awful (picture) and was OK. Not recommended, sorry

Google
They were supposed to open at 5….. but the people were just standing around and didn’t come to the front or turn on their computer. Still waiting at 520…..

Yelp
It took 20 minutes for me to receive my breakfast sandwich. That is way too long to make a basic sandwich for a person trying to catch a flight. When my order was ready I was informed that the breakfast potatoes were not available. To get a refund for the potatoes I had to visit a website and fill out a form. Who knows if that will work.... Skip this place and check the reviews of the others in this food court as they all seem to operate this way.

Yelp
Terrible experience. The staff were extremely slow and the food was bland. Not worth the ridiculously long wait.

Yelp
Pathetic service. Non English speaking staff. Dirty. Long line. Cheap food. $45 for lower than waffle house. Try getting a refund. No manager around. I'll charge back. They don't even care enough to want your money. The manager finally showed up and he didn't give a shit

Yelp
There is just a simplicity with a breakfast sandwich that isn't Dunkin' Donuts in an airport. I opted for the breakfast sandwich cause I was in a rush and was pleasantly surprised by how hot and fresh it was. It was an upgrade from Starbucks where you don't get so much volume for what you order. The food was tasty but wasn't spectacular, definitely classic breakfast food. For something on the rush would definitely be back!

Yelp
Weirdly enough, there's lots of choices in the Newark Airport, but none of them are very great. I had to go to Newark for my stop over (2 times to get to my final destination and then back). The system is pretty stupid - they have a bunch of ipads, but the ipads don't allow you to order. Instead, you have to scan the QR code that's on the ipad and order from your own phone. This is the same throughout this entire terminal, and it's pretty stupid. If you don't have a very long layover DO NOT COME HERE. There's only one cook working the entire time and he easily gets backlogged. Additionally, the sandwich itself was just okay - you get potatoes with your sandwich as well, but they're not really well cooked. Buns are also not toasted. I ordered no cheese on my sandwich and still ended up getting cheese. It took 20+ minutes to get my sandwich. They really need more than one cook.

Yelp
This is about the lady that seems like the manager that was extremely rude to multiple guests. She was not only telling but was basically harassing people. I have not seen someone this rude and improper before. As for the food, it's not too bad, but could be a bit oily. The only coffee option they had was absolutely terrible.

Yelp
Newark was a stopover for us. The airport itself is amazing, but I was very disappointed with this breakfast spot. We thought this was somewhere that we could grab a quick bite in and run to our gate, but nope... I don't know how many minutes it took to finish up our order, but it was too long considering there were only four people waiting and since we started waiting no orders were picked up. I didn't mind going to another kiosk to pay, but if you take orders digitally, please make it a point to look at the screen behind you to check what the orders actually were instead of just standing in front of all the customers who are clearly waiting (holding our receipts). Someone had to get the receipts from our hands and verbally enumerate all the orders to the person behind the grill, and it seemed like the person cooking was just WAITING for someone to do that... I was so confused, it was so inefficient... Also, food was very salty, bread was not even toasted and just haphazardly placed in the box, and my egg was not cooked well... it was a disaster all around. I am so sorry to be giving a business a one star review, but an improvement to this system is badly needed.

Yelp
In this very modern airport with IPads everywhere for you to use, very clean, and massive, this restaurant falls beyond flat. First off, like everywhere else in the airport you use an IPad to order your food. Which is great except it's not very user friendly and you get charged extra for almost everything you add to your food. After you order you would think it would be simple for the person directly in front of you to make your food. Unfortunately, this person never even turned around to see the several orders that had already been placed and waiting for her to start cooking them. She just stood there. So since she wasn't paying attention another woman came over and just started reading off the orders on everyone's ticket to the person making the food. The cook then had to keep asking what she was supposed to be making over and over again. Needless to say in a busy large airport, what should have been a quick transaction of ordering and getting food, took forever. Thank god we had plenty of time before our flight. Lastly, there's the food. How do you make a breakfast sandwich that bland? Seriously, if I had not added bacon to it, that would have been the worst breakfast I've had in recent memory. On top of that, when my girlfriend opened her food container, her eggs were not even cooked all the way. There are several other options for breakfast right here. GO TO ANY OTHER PLACE!!!!

Yelp
For some reason the corporate group this runs this felt they needed to improve the food court concept by creating a "self serve" scavenger hunt that you DO NOT NEED OR WANT when grabbing a quick bite before a flight. You need to first build your order and decide if you want to pay $1.35 for a piece of lettuce and another $1.35 for a piece of tomato. After doing all that and filling out personal information like your cell phone you need to find a kiosk at another station where you can pay. After that you need to find the soda machine which is conveniently hidden and was broken where you need to program your drink. But there are no cups so you need to find someone who will eventually give you a small cup to program your $4.25 soda into. You get a text that your order is ready which is shoved over the counter, napkins ketchup are hidden elsewhere. What a horrible inconvenience for a $22 burger which tastes super bland. Food courts worked just fine before your "improvements". The last thing people trying grabbing a quick bite before or between flights need is more hassle and stress and delay.

Yelp
Came here for a quick bite in the airport ( yup the airport). I was pleasantly surprised - the breakfast burrito was really good and quite big! The hash browns weren't too bad either . All in all - a good experience ... In the airport !

Yelp
For airport food it's pretty solid, if you don't mind being heavy on carbs and protein. They do seem a little short staffed in the morning despite the crowds, only one guy is doing everything? But that seems to be the weekday norm for all the little stands in this food court. So expect a bit of a wait for your food. And of course airport food is never a good deal, but given how little they feed you on airplanes (and/or how much they charge you for even worse food), and this place is a reasonable enough alternative to going hungry.
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
This place in theory is actually great and I could see a lot more of these popping up. The idea of someone preparing your food in front of you and the customer ordering the food from a screen is quite efficient. The digital menu is simple and relatively average for airport prices. They have an additional grill in the back where they also make the food. The wait was about 10 minutes, which was great because we were close to our boarding time. The taylor ham, egg and cheese I ordered wasn't bad, but it was just one slice of taylor ham for $10. For about $4.95 you can get a better breakfast sandwich at any decent diner in Jersey.

Yelp
This place is kind of a disaster. The food was okay, when I finally got it. The staff try hard to be helpful and friendly, but don't come here without a half hour to spare before boarding. Most of their issues come from the touch-screens you order and pay with- they can't cancel an order or take a menu item off availability if they can't make it. Ordered the flank steak sando with a fried egg and bleu cheese, and 15 minutes later I was called over because they don't even have flank steak. Agreed to make same sandwich with the philly steak instead. Received philly steak with scrambled eggs and American cheese- two of them?! Not bad value for $13, but not what I ordered, and super dry. It was better than pretzels on a 5 hour flight though.

Yelp
I'm surprised by all the bad reviews. I thought this was a good breakfast with no line at 7am. I made my own omelette with avocado, cheddar cheese and tomatoes. Once I ordered I headed over to the pay station. When I got back I only had to wait about another minute and my food was ready. I was pleasantly surprised it came with potatoes. That is not listed on the menu at all. The food itself was good. I would definitely order it again. My only problem was the price. A little over $12. Expensive breakfast! I guess that is to be expected in an airport though.

Hunter V.

Yelp
not sure why this place has such bad reviews because it was delicious. service was quick and was a lot of food for the price! cute seating area with nice string lights too. good breakfast option!
google avatar

Alicia C.

Yelp
Was ok, nothing Great. Service was quick, I wouldn't say friendly but not bad either. Food was ok, nothing Fabulous and so kind of pricey, but hey, it's in the airport, all the food is pricey there... I think more now, to Pay for all hose iPads there.

Luke L.

Yelp
I ordered the BBQ burger which was supposed to come with fried onions, pulled pork l, bacon, beef patty and fries, and applewood smoked bacon instead came with no fries no pulled pork no fried onions and cheddar cheese. Refused to give me what I ordered when i asked where the rest of my food was.

Perris A.

Yelp
An absolute catastrophe. Order numbers aren't being called or followed. Tons of wasted food from people having to board their plane. Waited close to an hour just for an egg sandwich. The crowd of people here will lure you in thinking the food is great; the crowd is there due to operational chaos. Food looks nothing like what's advertised and the eggs are being pulled from a stainless can, not made fresh.
google avatar

Liz S.

Yelp
Awful. First the service is so slow and the employees don't feel the need to hustle which is something you need at an airport. I ordered the breakfast burrito. Just got scrambled eggs with a couple jalapeños. No cheese no pico no sausage or other ingredients that make a breakfast burrito. The staff is poorly trained and don't give a damn.
google avatar

Gene X.

Yelp
Love inputting your own order but hate that you have to checkout/pay at a different station. Seems dumb. The food was good though and that's the important thing. Fresh eggs, crispy bacon on my breakfast sandwich so I can't complain. The potatoes weren't as crisp and crunchy as I prefer but I didn't really even want the side that comes with your order. Pretty good option at Newark where so much else I've had has been terrible

Josh G.

Yelp
Placed the order and waited for over 20 minutes in an airport where things need to be fast never got my order. Others around me never got the order. Food was given to the wrong customers. What a train wreck.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Can't even cook a sunny side up egg: proceeds to flip egg over then smash it so the yolk spills out and cooks and when I ask for sunny side up he just shrugs and puts it on the sandwich anyway. Should be basic to be able to cook a sunny side up egg at a place called Eggy Weggy no?

Danielle D.

Yelp
Worst bagels ever. I watched mine come out of the toaster... but it wasn't toasted in the slightest; just warm and gummy. And don't order the cream cheese on the side because you'll only get half the serving of a the schmear on a regular bagel. Service was rude. They had a question about my order and the attitude was awful.

Jason L.

Yelp
Absolutely inefficient. It's not the workers' fault, it's the fault of the people that designed that place. It doesn't work, is overpriced, and takes way too long for a breakfast sandwich. Makes you miss the efficiency of McDonalds.

Katie B.

Yelp
Ordered egg white/ avocado/roasted tomatoes on a multigrain roll. No roll just sad bread not toasted. Ingredients thrown on. No roasted tomatoes. No avocado slices - an ounce of avocado spread. Asked about the bread. Yeah we don't have that. No sorry no can we get you anything else. Asked about roasted tomatoes. Yeah we don't have that Showed them the picture of what you are supposed to get - shrug. Seriously. No care or pri

Barb W.

Yelp
AVOID. if I could give less than 1 star, I would. I ordered a simple breakfast sandwich, no substitutions. 20 min later, I'm still waiting and no one knows who's making it. I paid 3 min after I ordered it. This place is ridiculous with salty attitude to match. Go elsewhere.
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
Eggy Weggy? Waitey Latey! I'm with Stefany in another review. I had 15 minutes before my flight was to board and needed food before my 6am flight. How long does it take to make an egg ham and cheese sandwich? Over 15 minutes it turns out. Ridiculous. I thought the handy iPad ordering system meant that they would be fast. I was wrong. I wish I could have found a McDonald's near gate 94. Two stars because the food was actually okay.

Doug G.

Yelp
1st- Slow, don't order if your in a hurry to catch a flight!! 2nd- chaos, order, self checkout pay, and wait. But tons of people crowd the order pickup, so good luck knowing when yours is ready! In the end, if they're not even remotely busy then give it a try!! Otherwise, seek alternate breakfast route!
google avatar

Picky D.

Yelp
Not friendly, no service, people don't care. Horrible. No expectation on when food will be ready.
google avatar

Meghan N.

Yelp
I'm upset they got rid of the eggs-in-a-basket dish. That was delicious and it's so hard to find
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
I really didn't like the service and ordering system. You get to order yourself on a tablet which is fine, but you have to go to a separate kiosk to pay. After that, I waited 20-25 minutes just for some quick sandwiches. The Philly Cheesesteak was pretty good, but a little greasy. Would not recommend if you're about to board and short on time.
google avatar

Christian D.

Yelp
Your airport store never made my food and made me late for my flight. I spent money and never got my food. No one was being helped. I'm appealed and never spending my money with you again

David S.

Yelp
Hands down the worst burger and fries I've ever put in my mouth.. Actually spat it out.. Now I understand everything that's going on right now but with the lack of business, you would think that you would at least try to make an effort.. I had the Veggie burger with extra avocado, which they charged another $1.50 for..The burger itself was awful and literally disintegrated when I picked it up and fell all over the place.. Lettuce and tomato were old, avocado extra portion was about the size of a teaspoon and was going brown.. Fries were old and obviously reheated... Cost $21,so I was not happy.. Threw all of it away... I would have complained there and then but was getting on another flight.. Another example of overpriced airport food prepared by people not giving a damn about quality coz everyone passing through... Real shame...
google avatar

Amar M.

Yelp
Worst service ever at airport. Takes 30 minutes for a simple sandwich and no way to cancel the order. Ridiculous for airport food.

Arkansas D.

Yelp
Ordering and speed were ok. Food, not so much. Eggs tasted like oil and the roll was definitely a couple days old and stale. For a $13 sandwich, you should expect better. Potatoes were oily and soggy. Wish Newark airport terminal c would bring back real vendors. This is my third subpar experience. Won't go again.
google avatar

Steve D.

Yelp
Waiting for a flight at Terminal C food court (Newark Airport) at 6 a.m. Just wanted an egg sandwich (with ham, cheese, whatever). Found this place. You have to order at a computer terminal/pad - not difficult for most, but confusing to all the elderly people. Then you take your receipt to a central pay terminal to pay with a credit card. Then return to the restaurant and wait, where a bored guy is very slowly preparing food. Yes, it's that kind of futuristic crap that makes a simple process very complex. That said, when I finally got my sandwich it was pretty good. But I was really hungry, so who knows. This experience made me miss McDonald's.

Greg C.

Yelp
Egg sandwich can be good, but also bad... so hit or miss... and you typically have to wait 10m for it even with no line...

Ang S.

Yelp
I throughly enjoyed my special order omelette. The service was fast and the food quite tasty. I would agree with other reviewers, that at busy times given that there was only one person cooking and truly only room for one person, that service could likely be much slower, that however, was not my experience. Having to input your order via a tablet could as some stated stump some and it would be helpful to have someone present to assist, not unlike the airlines do at airport check-in. Lastly having to pay for your item at a different station does add time to the transaction and since this too is done via a tablet it can cause problems as well. There were people to help stationed at the pay station I chose. Overall I was very please with my experience but also see potential for problems.

Sadie L.

Yelp
I went to the location in JFK. Okay food and terrible service. Waited almost 30 MINUTES! I went here instead of a sit down and ended up paying the same amount. Do NOT recommend especially if you are in a rush.

Steven H.

Yelp
Absolute fail. These guys run the wrong business model for Newark airport. Unbelievably slow. You may miss you flight waiting for your egg sandwich. Menu says eggs are cooked over easy but they actually come out over hard and rubbery. No one cares behind the counter. An expensive, tasteless egg sandwich that takes 20 mins to cook. Argghhh.

Paul C.

Yelp
Ordered food along with several other people prior to flying out of newark airport. Stood around and waited for order only to be told by the neighbouring store that there was nobody cooking for eggy weggy out the back. Nobody to complain to either. Lots of unhappy people who had got nothing for there money. Had to leave without food or refund as flight was boarding. I want my money back.

John S.

Yelp
Awesome service and quick. I had a quick layover and got my food in three minutes. This is the fastest place in the terminal and you must go to this place if you are in a rush. Also, refunds are quick and simple if you need to catch your flight and you can't wait for the food.
