This place doesn't offer reservations for less than 6 people, which is a bummer when you find a place that's good next to the Carnegie Music Hall of Homestead. So I always try to make sure we have enough time to wait for a table, if needed. I have been here a few times now and the service is never a complaint.
We split a bunch of stuff, as there were 4 of us.
I ordered an espresso martini, which was one of the better ones I've had in Pittsburgh.
The BBQ chicken mac and cheese was simply not good. There are so many other awesome options on the menu, I'd skip this one honestly. The cheese blend was not great, it almost looked colored in a funky way for a mac and cheese. The color wouldn't deter me, but just saying there was some interesting choices that went into this dish. Another person disliked it, and then one friend liked it...at least it got ate!
The bruschetta was an interesting take...it had pesto! It was a little too much pesto, so I had to scrape some off. But it was actually really good and different!
The pepperoni pizza...this is why you wanna come here! I have never had a bad pizza here, whether you go with a classic or a fun pizza! The crust, sauce, cheese, pepperoni...it all was very good.
The baked shrimp dip is the last thing and I will say it was one of the unexpected loves of the night. It reminded me of a spinach artichoke dip, but with shrimp! It was creamy, flavorful, shrimp was cooked nicely, and the little breads they give you with it were better than crunchy chips as they had some give to hold all the yummy goodness!
All in all, we will be back again and again!
