Service was extremely slow. Customer service was lacking. Customers were getting their food before their coffees. I waited like 15 minutes for one latte. Myself and other customers had to ask how long the coffees would take. The staff didn’t that concerned about the complaints. The latte was not bad

Google
I was coming home from my trip from Texas and me and my daughter stopped there and the lady at the cash register who was there Saturday afternoon of May 17th was horrible to all the customers not only that I ordered four Bagels got home and they were all still I will never stop there again I love Einstein Bagels but this particular location is horrible

Google
I was stuck in the airport overnight due to tornado warnings and had to catch a red eye first thing today. I not only set an alarm to get food at this location, which online and at the front of the store says it’s open at 5am, but came to the store only to find that the store clerks said they weren’t opening until 6am. They gave the excuse that they had a meeting late the day prior but that has nothing to do with the guaranteed hours in the airport. This is not like other airports where you can find multiple restaurants or coffee shops open for a quick bite. Einstein is the ONLY early food option open. And those are not your hours, you should NOT be advertising as such. And it doesn’t end there. You need to change your menu so it authentically portrays what is actually at the location. This location had NOTHING on the menu except it’s bagels. While the menu says bagel thins, they told me that they literally DIG OUT by hand the bagel to make it a thin. That’s not a bagel thin, that’s called crust with old avocado in it. The customer service was horrible, no one knew what they were doing. And hungry customers waited in line for subpar service with a subpar menu for an hour for nothing. The only reliable thing I was given was tea. If I had time and there wasn’t a long line I would have demanded a refund. Don’t be in the airport if you’re not adequately staffed or resourced to be here!

Google
Fast service for an early morning order and high quality bagels as always!

Google
Absolutely he worst Einstein Bros Bagel experience. Long line due to slow workers. Finally time to order and they didn't have lox. Put out a sign that states what you don't have. It's call customer service Ordered Garden Avocado toasted on Everything Bagel. When unwrapped it was not toasted, egg was cold and very little avocado. Total rip off. Doesn't even deserve a one star.

Theresa Coles

Google
We ordered a egg and cheese sandwich and a plain bagel with cream cheese. Which came out with a two egg, cheese, and sausage sandwich, and a asiago bagel (which tasted weird) with cream cheese. The eggs tasted like flour. Everything was salty. They didn’t even have water we had to buy it from another store. This place was terrible.

Google
I ordered the turkey, bacon and avocado on a plain bagel. It was surprisingly yummy with plenty of fresh avocado and an aioli with large pepper flakes that really enhanced the flavor. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. The turkey was a little bit wet and seemingly VERY thin sliced from a deli but it didn’t effect the good taste. The bacon was also thin but I could taste it. Some of it was hard for some reason? The bagel was good…chewy and a worthy vehicle for the accompaniments.

Google
Same as always.......which sometime is good ! Have a safe flight

Yelp
Before getting on my flight back to Las Vegas, I was looking at food options in the Southwest Terminal at Midway Chicago prior to my boarding at 5:35 P.M. There were a lot of restaurant options, however, I opted to choose a quick service location with no wait time, Einstein Bros. Bagels! It's been about a year since I've had Einstein Bros. Bagels. This location did offer some of their signature egg sandwiches like the Texas Brisket Egg Sandwich. You could also get a Bacon & Cheddar Egg sandwich, and other options such as the Pizza Bagel. I ended up selecting their 6-cheese bagel with a cream cheese spread. The team member at the register placed my order and started to prepare the meal. The bagel was toasted, and the cream cheese was spread on the top and bottom of the bagel. It was a perfect meal before getting on my flight to Vegas. There was plenty of cream cheese on the bagel! It wasn't over toasted either! If I fly through Midway Chicago again, I think next time, I'll try the Turkey, Bacon & Avocado Sandwich!

Yelp
We got off our plane and we seen they were open for another 49 minutes No line They only offered bagels and cream cheese, as well their prepackaged stuff. Service was fast.
google avatar

Ray C.

Yelp
There are many food choices at Midway Airport. Most are high priced and low quality. Einstein Bros. Bagels is the exception. I had eaten both their breakfast and regular sandwiches. Both are tasty. You can get the regular sandwiches all day long, even for breakfast. We both had the turkey and cheese on a sesame bagel. They were very good and fresh. It was a long line and took 20 minutes from getting in line to order in hand. There is a nice seating area across from this location. One person got a table and sat with the bags while I got the order. They are open from 6 a.m. to 12 Midnight which is very convenient. We paid $23.48 (including tax) for two our two deli sandwiches and two 20 oz bottles of water.

Yelp
At 5:30 AM not a lot of options and wanted to grab some coffee and a bagel for my flight. The line was long and moved incredibly slow. There was only one cashier and it took a good 30 minutes to get my bagel and cold brew. I got a plain bagel, and as soon as I opened the bag, all I could smell was cinnamon. It seemed the bagel may have touched the cinnamon bagels. I am not a fan of cinnamon and did not care for it with the veggie shmear.
google avatar

Annie S.

Yelp
Pros: -the cheapest food you can buy in the airport and be full. - they have a range of bagel flavors (cinnamon is delicious) and cream cheese. Cons: - if you get a bagel, there will barely be any cream cheese on the bagel which is why this is 2 stars.
google avatar

Yelp
Einstein Bagels! How many times have you stopped here to grab a snack, lunch or afternoon pick-me-up?! Countless? No matter what city you are in, you can count on Einsteins! I was recently at an airport and needed a coffee & sandwich. Einstein did the trick. Sometimes, I avoid chain restaurants and other times I like to know what I'm getting so like the chain restaurants! This chain is consistent on delivering quality food & service! Thank you! Enjoy!
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
Super friendly, line was long but went fast, food looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate airport food but this was worth holding my heavy bag
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
I normally really like Einstein Bros. But this one was horrible. They were out of a bunch of stuff and my sandwich was cold and just lacked everything I'm used to them being. The bagels were not good. Coffee was way to sweet. I won't go to this one again.
google avatar

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Not very clean (so much dust is piled up on the light fixtures above the coffee machines), ran out of half their bagel flavors by 7am, not able to pay with cash unless you have exact change, espresso machine was broken, and their cashier taking orders was rude. On top of all that, my order was made incorrectly.
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
Not much to brag about here. I needed something quick before getting on my connection at MDW during a long evening of travel. I was hoping to get one of the sandwiches with turkey deli meat, but they were out. I opted for the turkey sausage and cheddar bagel, which wasn't particularly great. Servers were friendly and quick. Ambiance is what you would typically expect for an airport grab and go meal.
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
Ordered 2 farmhouse breakfast sandwiches. Good sandwich with bacon, ham, cheese, and egg. Service: It's an airport, didn't expect much. Wasn't disappointed. Cleanliness: below average

Yelp
Definitely the better bagel place in Midway Airport! Getting a bite to eat before or after a flight is always a hassle. So if you are a looking for a place to get a quick meal and a hot drink, try this place out. I stopped by prior to an early flight and had a great experience. First off, the menu is not complicated and there are a nice variety of items to choose from - for both food and beverages. Prior to my departure, I had ordered the Farmhouse bagel and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was excellent! Whipped cream included without extra cost or having to ask. As for the bagel, it was satisfying! Although it did not appear as amazing as it was pictured on the menu, it tasted great! As for the bagel itself, it was soft. Whoever prepared my bagel did a job well done. Moreover, the workers I encountered were nice, made eye contact, and smiled. They moved a long line of hungry customers quickly too! I did not have to wait more that 7-10 minutes for my order to be ready after my order was placed. It was ready much quicker than I had expected. I'm glad I got my breakfast here that morning. Thank you Einstein Bro's Bagel morning staff of 9/26/22!
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
Dry over cooked bagels. Get here early, it gets packed. We arrived before 9am ish and it was ok. I got the egg sandwich and not sure if they don't ask you what bagel you want it on, but I forgot to ask and it just came on a plain bagel, which was extremely dry... kinda felt like it was old and stale from the day before. Nothing else was open at this time for something fast.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
I stopped by for breakfast and opted for an egg white sandwich with bacon, tomato and avocado. The ingredients tasted fresh and wholesome. It wasn't greasy and had just the right amount of flavor. I haven't raved about a sandwich like this in a while.
google avatar

Sherelle L.

Yelp
Airport locations for any franchise.. is usually a struggle. However, I didn't have any issues with this bagel spot. BUTTTT I only ordered a bagel , so what could have went wrong? I did witness other's orders being messed up. Cup sizes incorrect etc. The line was long as expected at 7am. It took about 20 mins for me to get my food after joining the line.
google avatar

Jenni M.

Yelp
*** wrong place for a coffee, but maybe the bagels are like they used to be *** ENVIRONMENT Social distancing is a bit awkward when you're waiting for your items. New customers aren't sure where the line starts. SERVICE I wanted a caffè mocha. Their response, "We aren't doing those right now." Then she stares at me but because I can't see her lips I don't know if I should anticipate a follow-up statement like, "But we have some hot coffee ready for you." But nothing. Just a cold blank stare. MY FAVORITE PART... That they even had coffee. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... Pretty much all of it. THE COFFEE The coffee of the day ($2.82) was not all that flavorful. It was hot, but watered down. What a letdown. Who made the coffee that morning?! Frozen girl? Lol. That's all I bought as I already had breakfast from a different place that didn't have coffee. Sure did take a long time just for a simple coffee too. Over 5 minutes. OVERALL Think I'm done with airport Einstein Bros. Not jumping on a brick and mortar opportunity any time soon. They were good several years ago, but nah... | Coffee: 2 | Service: 2 | Environment: 2 | Price: 3 |
google avatar

Yelp
Best place to eat in Midway - cheap, consistent, and fast. Tasty Turkey ($9) - turkey, lettuce, cucumber, and tomato on a warm plain bagel, no schmear. I love warm bread with cold toppings. YUM!! Chocolate Chip Bagel ($3) - Get it toasted. They didn't have peanut butter, so I ate it by itself since I can't have dairy. It was a nice dessert! At 5:30 p.m., they weren't serving a lot of their menu items including specialty coffees. They only had drip coffee. However, there is a sign saying they have a limited menu at the moment. Service was just okay, but it was fast at least.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Got the nova lox bagel sandwich and a turkey, bacon, and avocado bagel sandwich. Flavor of the bagel and ingredients were good. Reasonable price (about $10 each) for airport food. Only thing is barely any avocado and cream cheese on the bagel. Half the bagel of each sandwich was dry as seen in the pictures. Don't go after 7pm when their ingredients are low. Watched the girl making our sandwiches squeeze an empty bottle of cream cheese, then try and smear a little blob around and then the same with the avocado spread. Or just be prepared to speak up on the spot and ask for more of the spread, since that's what they claim by the pictures and on the logo on their bagel case.
google avatar

Zaria D.

Yelp
I ordered a turkey and cheddar sandwich from this location. I was so disappointed as turkey like most poultry should be cooked all the way through. I found my turkey sausage was just browned on the outside and not cooked through. I clearly didn't eat it and the line was so long in general, I didn't take it back. Just disappeared because I don't think there is ever a rush when it comes to the health and well-being of a customer. Clearly speed of delivery trumps you that. I attempted to eat the egg and cheese but overall even that wasn't good. I will more than likely not return to this location.

Dani B.

Yelp
to the girls who were closing on the night of 7/5/24, you guys are my absolute heroes! me and my friend were stuck at Midway overnight for a 7hr layover and the vending machines wouldn't accept either of our cards so we couldn't get water bottles and everywhere was already closed for the night. I happened to catch the friendly workers at this einsteins and they were so sweet for letting me get a couple of waters from them even though they were done for the night. I appreciate them so much!

Heather H.

Yelp
I tried to order a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich. They were out of ciabatta so I switched it to a bagel. Then I decided to make it a meal thinking I would get chips and a soft drink. Instead it comes with coffee and a hash brown!!!! Who wants that with their sandwich for lunch. The sandwich looks like it was slapped together by a 2 year old. So sad. The only redeeming thing is the bagel was good.
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
Easily the worst Einstein breakfast sandwich I ever had. Everything about it was sad. Coffee was good tho
google avatar

Jade W.

Yelp
The employees were friendly and nice! They were the first people to be kind to me in this airport - that really meant a lot. I ordered a bagel & cream cheese. I asked for it sliced. I was not asked if I wanted it toasted. My bagel was not served toasted (I wasn't asked & I forgot to ask) so it was room temp. The bagel was not sliced ( :( ) and for some reason the cream cheese was spread on top of the bagel?? Super weird. I also ordered a latte, which had a funny taste. I'm a midwest gal, who even worked at caribou at one point, so I'm used to caribou. I didn't end up finishing the drink because I was worried it would make me sick on the plane. TLDR: bagel was eh and served weird, coffee was a no-go, staff were superstars.
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
Einstein Bros. Bagels used to be my go-to when I needed lunch on the go. Sadly, the one in my town closed, so I was happy to see one at Midway. But sadly again, this one left much to be desired. The line moved fast enough, and I ordered a Tasty Turkey, which is made with spinach, cucumber, lettuce, tomato and onion and chive shmear, served on an asiago bagel. I took my bag with bagel back to my gate to eat while I waited. And immediately upon opening the bag, I found that my sandwich was wrapped in paper that had sauce and avocado from someone else's sandwich all over it. Ick. I was distracted by the goo on the paper and trying not to get it all over me, and in the process, parts of my sandwich fell out of the wrap, onto my lap. And when I went to clean it up, I found that they did not put any napkins in my bag. Once I cleaned myself up and started eating, I discovered that the bagel on the bottom was not cut in half like the top was, and they did not use an asiago bagel but instead a plain one. This was a whomp whomp all of the way around. The fillings tasted good enough, though, and I enjoyed my Vanilla Caribou Cooler coffee drink that I got with it. Next time I'm passing through Terminal 1 of Midway, though, which I do a few times a year, I'll be skipping Einstein Bros.

Nicole R.

Yelp
This place really sucks. The order line is confusing, the food sucks and isn't fresh and they didn't get my order right (got one egg instead of the two I ordered). Steer clear.
google avatar

Amber P.

Yelp
Cheap. Best thing I can say. Bagel and hash brown for less than $6. When you pay closer to $10 in Colorado for same food, that's a nice price. Hash brown tasted like a bit of pizza bagel was left over and burnt smell permeated through hash brown. Otherwise not bad. Schmear seams to be ok portion, could have done with a bit more, (I do like more schmear) but this was acceptable.

Joe G.

Yelp
If I could give them a zero I would. I fly through midway airport every other week. I stop at the Einstein at Midway almost every time for coffee or food or both. Today I ordered a coffee and tried to pay cash. The girl at the counter said is it okay if I don't give you change, I said no and walked away. I should have said is it okay if I don't pay you? What kind of retail business cannot handle a $4 cash transaction?
google avatar

BRAD B.

Yelp
The lines are absolutely ridiculous. They should send someone to the San Diego airport Einstein Bagels to see how to properly handle lots of business. In doing so they could triple their volume. Alas, they aren't interested in their customers, food quality or business volume.
google avatar

Vinay Y.

Yelp
Located on Concourse A in Midway Airport but it's terrible. Only positive is the employees are working hard but when I went they basically said we don't have items on more than half the menu. Seriously, why are you even open then? The only good food item was the coffee. The manager of this place is incompetent if they can't even get items for more than half the menu on a busy travel weekend, I don't blame the employees who are doing their best but management is clueless if they can't have more than half the menu available.

John D.

Yelp
Thought I'd ignore the bad reviews, so I bought a latte which was a mistake. Spent $5.63 on a very watered down latte that tastes like they put a splash of skim milk in it
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Sucks, full of idiots, wrong orders, very slow, took over 20 minutes after standing in line 20 minutes. Terrible
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
Avoid this location at all costs. Coffee was self-serve and you can taste that they switch up their urns and put the regular coffees in the flavored Coffee urns. Menu is not correct and I consistent. Refused to let me choose a non-plain bagel for my bagel sandwich which was terrible. No condiments for sandwich. Fast, yet poor service.

Nancy K.

Yelp
I want to personally thank Jazlynn for going above and beyond with her skills and customer service! On Saturday, 1 June 2024, after 10 pm, my brother was searching for a way to eat. He had no money, no credit, and no debit cards (that is a long story).I am Brian's sister. Anyway, he asked three other restaurants if they could take a card over the phone. The other reps said that they did not know how to manually take a payment; these people were actually kind of mean and rude. But that is where Jazlynn stepped in with her super compassion and expert skills, and took my credit card over the phone. She really saved the day, and my brother did not have to wait another 12 hours to eat! It is people like Jazlynn that really make the difference in the world with their caring, kindness, and expert customer service! Please, please, please pass on our thanks for being friendly, wonderful ,and for going above and beyond! My brother said the food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and Jazlynn's actions changed his negative attitude into a big smile! Thanks again Jazlynn!
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
I'm sure it's not easy when you work at a busy airport location. But, man, did my breakfast bagel suck. Over-microwaved egg foam, 2 slices of unmelted cheese on a bagel. The coffee was scalding hot - like dangerously hot. I had to wait more than 30 min before I could sip it, and I even added milk. But at least there's something in that airport for breakfast.

Logan N.

Yelp
Food. Not good. Farmhouse breakfast sandwich with an flattened egg 'patty'? All has been prefabricated. Dont get the 'hash-browns' which is (not are) the blowfish equivalent of a tater tot in steroids and it has DAIRY (cheese). If you are avoiding cheese, do not get it. Additionally, the tomato spread I was told was on my bagel was a liquefied, some thing which I also suspected had dairy. When you specifically asked for no cheese, and no cream cheese on your bagel, one would think the server should volunteer that the other items have dairy. Not good quality food. Just not good.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
This is located in the midway airport. The lines are super long, but these employees work so hard to get food out hot and fresh. I think we were in line and got our food in 15 minutes. If you have a tight connection, you can order and pickup quickly. I saw bags of to pick up orders waiting. I got the Framhouse breakfast sandwich bagel. Bacon, ham, eggs, cheese, with pepper smear on a hash down bagel. delicious!

G E.

Yelp
I was just eating the sandwich and halfway through I had bacon fall out so I opened it. Idk wtf is wrong with this egg, but it's not what should be served on a $9 sandwich. There were jalapeños on the sandwich but both eggs had this coloring ad one was on the side with no crème cheese or jalapeños, so it wasn't a stain. Have not tried the drink but how bad could a chain restaurant mess up a cafe latte? So I gave two stars.
google avatar

Melissa E.

Yelp
Einstein is a national chain that I feel has declined over the years. Although new to Chicago Midway, it didn't deliver anything super fresh or energizing to the multitude of travelers that pass through this airport. I ordered my usual, the nova lox on a sesame bagel but when I got it, it was put together quite haphazardly and I definitely could have used a lot more capers! It got the job done though: quick meal, efficient line, and I'm no longer hungry. But not very memorable, bagels weren't as fresh and I will probably avoid the next time I pass through.
google avatar

Tray M.

Yelp
This was my first since college that I had Einstein Bros. From 2005-2009. This place is amazing. The smells still smelled good. It was like I never left college lol. Bagel orders Cinnamon bagel with bacon egg and cheese. Still pricey but I love it
google avatar

Slade K.

Yelp
Didn't accept cash or gift cards. They would only serve a few things off their menu and didn't explain why. Long line. And didn't have anything stocked for their grab and go.

Jennefer A.

Yelp
I had to go back since they added little cream cheese. The tomato, onions and inside of the bagel were soggy!! Like I paid $22 for a soggy bagel my husbands cold cheese and burnt egg sandwich!! Ohh and the coffee machine is broken so regular coffee that tasted horrible!! Get it together
google avatar

Meghan B.

Yelp
I ate here twice in one week for two different trips- I had layovers in Chicago Midway both times, I was flying Southwest. Einstein Bros hits the spot when all you want is just a simple bagel or a deli sandwich. Both of my sandwiches were great and the service was as fast as it could be, given the line of people. Their sandwiches are wrapped up nice so it's super easy to take these on a plane.

Cole D.

Yelp
I stopped by considering the Dunkin' Donuts in this airport have stopped selling breakfast sandwiches only to find out this dump "limited their menu" and got rid of them too. Where the hell are people flying in the morning supposed to get a meal with protein? On top of it, the cream cheese was badly smeared.

Emma N.

Yelp
reality vs expectations. do better, Einstein bros. disgrace.... certainly will NOT be coming back. my 3 yo nephew could've made this look more appetizing
google avatar

Bri P.

Yelp
Horrible experience. Asked for a bagel with cream cheese, capers and onions. They didn't have a button for modifications so instead they charged me $8 for an avocado sandwich, when I saw that my receipt said "avocado" I told them since they charged me $8 for an avocado sandwich that I wanted the avocado on my bagel. They then told me they were out of avocado and also weren't able to charge me any less. I was annoyed but said okay and took the bagel. When I sat down and opened it I found they only put cream cheese on one side of the bagel, they gave me the root end of the onion, so I couldn't even eat it and they didn't toast my bagel AT ALL. I am so unhappy and can't believe I wasted $8 on a bagel???? Don't waste your time here.
google avatar

Patricia G.

Yelp
This was the most unorganized unhelpful location I ever went to in my life. After ordering on the grub app that they advertised and then waiting in line 20 min they said they did not have my whole order because they did not have a certain type of bagel and said they removed it from my order so I needed to pay for it again. So I did and then after i left found out I was charged. I made complaint and then went back and they said since the manager that called me was not there they could not help me. Are you serious. Don't waste your tome.

Jim B.

Yelp
I just ordered three bagel sandwiches from the Einstein bagels at Midway airport. Save your money!! So DRY! No butter or cream cheese; a bagel sandwich that reminded me of the Sahara desert.
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
How can I go to Einstein at Midway and they are out of bagels except for chocolate chip at 8:30 in the morning? How is it that I have to wait 20 minutes for that bagel?
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
Employees were very rude and unprofessional. The menu also lacked options I've seen at other locations, which is odd considering this location probably gets more traffic than most since it's at an airport. Not impressed.
