Einstein Bros. Bagels

I must say I Love this Einstein Bros location!! This is the best place in the area to get a good meal as well as some coffee, tea, juice ,or even delicious fresh lemonade. They also have pastries and cookies ( delicious cinnamon rolls). Even bagel treats for your dogs if they need a bite. I come here on the weekends and I am never disappointed. My food is always fresh, delicious and made fast within minutes. No long waits here. The employees, especially the female manager are awesome!! I am always greeted with a smile and treated very kind. I never have any issues here. I look forward to returning time and time again. Thanks for being so wonderful 😊

I usually like ordering from Einstein. Today, I decided to order through DoorDash. I found a piece of hair in my food and called the store to notify. There was a nice young lady who answered the phone and asked someone in the back for assistance to resolve my issue. The person she asks then yells "Okay well what do they want me to do about it? Make another one?" Very poor customer service. I won't be a returning customer.

The staff is so pleasant. There is no other place that I have found who can stand against Einstein Bros. Bagels. Especially the jalapeño bagel with shmear. Oh my goodness, it is to experience....

I was on my way to work this morning and this place caught my eye right about the same time that I thought about getting some breakfast. I thought that a blueberry bagel and kiwi red bull would be a great combination. My favorite has always been the blueberry bagel, and fortunately they had some leftover from the morning rush. Ciara took my order and she was cool enough to let me know about the different types of shmear cream cheese toppings that they have to offer. Strawberry shmear with the blueberry bagel was my choice, and it tasted great. I was glad that the bagel was not too hard either, because I've had an issue in the last involving a tooth and a very hard bagel. The bagel was so good, I almost wanted to order a second one to take with me to work.

I came for a pick up order, at 9 am the attendant gave the order incomplete. He did not give my coffee order, he was talking to another attendant while ordering, he realized the order was incomplete and I went back to the store but the attendant did not even apologize.

I usually love Einstein Bros. Bagels, especially their Texas Brisket Sandwich—it’s always fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I usually pick it up in person, but today I ordered through Uber Eats and tried a few different items. • Texas Brisket Sandwich – As amazing as always! Smoky, tender brisket with the perfect balance of flavors. Definitely my go-to. • Avocado, Bacon, Tomato & Egg White Sandwich – Absolutely disappointing. The bacon wasn’t even cooked—can you imagine non-crispy bacon? The whole sandwich was bland and unappetizing. I couldn’t even finish it. • Everything Bagel with Onion & Chive Shmear – Barely any cream cheese! Just a tiny spread that didn’t do the bagel justice. I’ll definitely stick to my Texas Brisket Sandwich, but I would never order that avocado bacon sandwich again. And if I get a bagel with shmear, I’ll make sure to ask for extra!

First, I’ll start off by saying the manager William is just plain rude, doesn’t know what customer service is, and it’s not a coincidence I’m not the first person saying this either. Second I ordered the most basic order ever - bagel with cream cheese and this is the amount of cream cheese I got. It didn’t even cover the bagel. I asked if there was an option to order extra cream cheese online and the manager rudely responded no there isn’t and that’s it’s. I started to sit down and eat and then manager said “look at the sign” the dining place is closed”. It’s a pretty big dining space so idk why it’s closed but never coming back here again anyways. This place is CHEAP and RUDE. Do not spend your money here. I went the next day to Jaco Juice Taco Bar down the street and got the same order for the same price but my bagel was fully covered with cream cheese. So I’m not asking for the moon here. This was a waste of money. Buyer beware.

We got a couple of bagel sandwiches to go for breakfast and were thrilled with what we got. I had a biscuit and gravy sandwich which was nice and peppery and my fiance got the bbq brisket on a jalapeño bagel (his was better 😋). My kids got the pizza bagels and loved them.

The female that dresses like a male in the morning, I really feel sorry for her. I seen her just screaming at men and send the craziest stuff this morning. Don't understand who hired her why she is there and how is she even able to talk to people like that to be honest I would never order from here. I canceled my order so I don't know how the food is to be honest.

Slow, terrible service. Tables are disgusting. Food is average. Do not come here. The only "pro" of this place is its location, but make the effort to go somewhere else.

If you don't mind your food being made by employees not wearing gloves, this is the place for you.

The worst service I've experienced in a very long time. The employees seemed to be underwater. I asked for two bagels toasted with cream cheese and I got two uncut, cold bagels without any cream cheese. The floor was filthy and littered with old latex gloves. Don't go!

Absolutely tragic experience. It is 8 am on a Tuesday. The restaurant had been open for 2 hours but looked as if they had just opened. Every single table was dirty and so was the floor. Even the counters are dirty. Someone left the vacuum cleaner out front from the night crew, but obviously didn't vacuum. Fridge is not stocked. There were so many crumbs underneath the bagel display, including a spare bagel. The staff was slow and arguing with each other. It took 10 minutes for one person to complete their order at the point of sale. No one greeting customers or anything when they come in. The manager / owner of this store should truly be ashamed. If I could award zero stars I would for the abysmal cleaning and customer service. Either clean house (literally) and with the staff or just close this location.

Einstein Bagels is adequate at best. If you want great bagels, look elsewhere- like Bethesda Bagels (in Bethesda or Arlington). Maybe I'd like Einstein better if the employees were friendly or at all attentive. They rarely even acknowledge that a customer has entered the store and they behave as if they're doing you a favor.

This team does not have any type of team work. Literally asked for my order to the gentlemen (head baker) and didn't tell his team at all. Waited ten minutes and asked the cashier if the order is ready and no one knew. Cmon magn!

Slow, terrible service, awful manager. Terrible attitude of the manager spreads to the staff. Expect to wait 20+ minutes after ordering and have to speak with management to get your bagel.

The worst place in Glover Park. The workers are incompetent to say the least and worst of all, they get argumentative when the fault is on their end. The worst offender is the lady with a ring on her eyebrow, low IQ with an attitude. Listen to the reviews and fire these people.

I stopped here Monday morning to grab a breakfast sandwich before heading into the office. When I arrived, it surprisingly wasn't busy. I got my usual, an onion bagel egg sandwich with turkey sausage and cheese. The food came out promptly. My bagel was hard and almost inedible. Thankfully, the bagel was for free since I had a reward, but it was a disappointing since I've never had a bad experience at EBB.

The bagels were not that bad, the people who work there had some serious ATTITUTE problems. If you want to be left alone and not helping any one, don't work at a diner or restaurant.

The bagels were dry and barely had any cream cheese inside. Inaddition the guy at the register was extremely rude.

Call me a bagel snob. I don't care. I hail from the Big Apple where bagels reign supreme. NYC has hands down the best bagels. Period. But, of course, I ain't in NYC right now and beggars can't be choosers. But in this case, I'll keep on beggin' until a better bagel comes along. Came here at noon on a weekday for some bagels and smear. No everything bagel at noon? WTH? They also ran out of garlic bagels too. Even toasting the bagels didn't help much with the bland, non chewy consistency. And the veggie cream cheese was no better. Do yourself a favor. Skip this place and go to Bethesda Bagels (by far much better). I see why many years ago they had to downsize. When you don't offer quality and charge lousy prices, customers wise up and go elsewhere.

Horrible to think she could have exposed us all and her baby with no regards to the rules and safety of others. My meal was promptly tossed -3

I called ahead of time for a large order and was told a certain price; drove over an hour to get to this location. The man working the front was very short and rude and was the same person I spoke with on the phone. My total ended up being $32 more than I was told originally. I expected a $10-$15 jump for the additional cream cheeses I added once I got there. It was $32 more because he missed a portion of my original order. In general, I would expect better customer service overall.especially when a mistake happens on their part. Bagels and coffee are great! But I won't be returning to this location because of the rudeness I've received.

I don't like the bagels here. There's better options even in DC and I always found their cream cheese way too gritty. And through no fault of the restaurant itself, the outdoor tables are a hub for some of the vagrant population in Glover, and I've seen some unfortunate confrontations with passerbys there. But I have to give some shout out for their service. It might be odd, because it can feel brusque and very on-off. But when you're in, you're in! There's definitely peeps who come in with first name conversations on the regular. And as a personal experience, they were super accommodating for catering - even slipping in a last minute delivery option when we vastly overestimated how much we ordered. Einstein's may feel a bit homogeneous for my liking, but in some weird way stopping by feels like supporting some of the locals.

As convenient as this location the service is not acceptable. The manager William is both rude and disrespectul.

Food is fine, customer service poor. One employee as super rude. I wasn't going to write this review but he was consistently rude back-to-back days. Otherwise I love Einstein bagels they have amazing cream cheese!

HORRIBLE bad attitude by the lady who takes the orders, she does not communicate with clients meaning if you ask a question she will not answer and when you ask again she just points out to stuff with a really bad attitude, as if is being bothered by doing her work. Also the bagels are poorly prepared, we ordered the Nova Lox and the onions where huge not sliced thinly as they should be, but the bagel was paper thin though! Also their tea is served from a very dirty plastic jars with grime and sitting out without refrigeration and that's supposed to be "iced tea" also almost $3 for that. So one bagel and two iced teas were $12.85 Don't waste your money and time coming here is horrible!!!

Pretty good bagels, fresh eggs, and decent coffee. Sub par service. Some of the ladies are very polite but most give the impression they're not interested in doing a good job. It starts at the top: the manager seems disinterested and is often short. Walked in for breakfast one late morning, as we often do. No croissants! Asked if more were being baked and the manager (we see him all the time, so we know it's him) said, "well, we need them so they're being made." Rude. If something is that popular, make the next tray while the other is out for sale. Continually disappointed in the service, but there are no other bagel places in Glover. My partner and I walked out and Ubered to Silver in Cathedral Heights because we're tired of Einstein's poor service.

I'm surprised by the low rating here (currently 2 star average)! As far as Einsteins go, this one is about as good as it gets! The staff in the mornings are quick, super nice, and always get my order right. You can't go wrong with their everything bagels but I recommend the French toast ones with maple schmear when you're in the mood for a sweeter breakfast. I don't recommend the avocado toast option. I was pumped about the idea but the execution isn't there. But for basic bagels and cream cheese they do a good job!

I was very eager to go get breakfast at Einstein this morning since I have been to others and have had nothing but good experiences. My husband and I walked in, ordered and while we were waiting for our food, the manager starts yelling at me. The manager explains to me that the girl on the register rang in my order wrong and that I was charged a lower price for coffee than what it should have been. I said I would pay the difference and he scolded me telling me to get in the back of the line. I waited 10 more minutes and he rang me up for a whole other coffee. I asked him to explain why he was charging me this way and he yelled and said "just take the coffee and leave". I did and I will not be coming back.

totally lack of customer services. I arrived the store during the afternoon hours, and it was not busy at all. Upon arrival, I waited and waited and no one care to take my order. I know there are staffs there because I heard conversation. I asked "excuse me" several time, but I was still left unserved

I really like Einstein Bros but this location is easily the worst I've ever been to. I walked in to order an iced coffee and decided to add 3 shmearfuls since I was in a rush and they are pre-made. I paid and it quickly became clear that there were a lot of people waiting for their food. I watched several other people check on their food and get rudely told off by the manager. After 10 minutes of waiting, I was finally given my iced coffee. Another several minutes went by (now close to 15 minutes of waiting) I was still not given my shmearfuls. When I told the woman behind the counter that I was still waiting, she told me she would ask. Then the manager rudely said that I had to wait. I walked out without my shmearfuls because I had waited 15 minutes, with no end in sight. Overall, terrible customer service and extreme inefficiency, even at a normal hour with many people working. Don't come here if you can avoid it.

This place is the WORST! Bad, slow lazy service... takes 10-15 minutes to get anything 'complex' like a lox sandwich. Lastly the bagels are small and tasteless - when they HAVE bagels, I actually have been there when they opened WITHOUT! Do yourself a favor and go to Bethesda Bagels in Upper Dupont on Connecticut - not far from Glover Park and worth the drive. Better yet, Bethesda Bagels PLEASE come to Glover Park!

Hours say open. They are servicing door dash, but would not letting anyone in. They must be afraid of the public. Cost me parking meter money and did not get any food. Recommend not visiting this location.

I was one of two customers in the whole store and the man (who I imagine is the same rude managers other reviews have mentioned) seemed to be going out of his way to be rude and condescending to me. I was picking up a mobile order and told the cashier as such. He immediately told me I was in the wrong place and "if you'd read the sign, you'd know that mobile pickups are over there," pointing to a random unlabeled table in the corner. Completely unnecessary!

I ordered two egg sandwiches, but threw them away after picking them up because the place looked so disgusting I was not going to chance eating them. I also agree with all the previous comments about the poor customer service.

I do not usually write reviews but this is the second time I have been totally jipped here. This time I got the veggie bagel and last time I got the nova lox and both times there was absolutely no cream cheese or hummus on the bagel. To make it worse, I chose the non dairy cream cheese and payed extra for it, and I got this tiny smear of cream cheese. I used to love Einstein's as a kid but this is just not acceptable for the price. I haven't had this problem at other Einstein's but something needs to change here.

The main cashier register man is very unprofessional and weird. He'll be taking your order then go off mid order to do something else and have you wait there for 5 Mins very weird and he's very weird about covid I get it 6 feet but cmon with like 8 feet and he's backing up trying to take the order cmon bro

Conveniently located next to my office. The toasted everything bagel with plain cream cheese is the best! Staff are super friendly, quick and helpful. Plenty of bagels to choose from and fresh coffee. Free WiFi and outdoor seating too.

The man who always works in the front is really rude and makes me not want to go there. The food and drinks are good and pretty consistent with other Einstein's.

Poor Service... same manager. What a waste of an employee.. however, the girl that made my sandwich was polite and helpful.

Opened an hour late but despite that, overall poor service unfortunately. I've been here a few times and it's consistently not a great experience.

I have never been more disrespected as a customer. I was disrespected on THREE separate accounts all from William, who was also the store manager. After third encounter I decided to leave and not continue with my purchase because of how off putting the experience was. It was my first time going to Einstein Bros Bagels and my last. I do not recommend.

Staff service is hit or miss. Today, asking for a particular bagel in an almost empty basket and get yelled at by manager Asia that they cannot do that. The young lady on the other side quickly gets the bagel without a problem and gets yelled at. If Asia has politely explained to me that the staff is not allowed to pull out a bagel of my choosing even if there are five bagels left, I would have chalked it up to a ridiculous policy and accepted it. But being yelled at without a reasonable explanation is unacceptable. The Einstein in Reston VA is so much better.

I call them to ask what time they close, and I ride with 5 minutes left, they did not want to do my bagel and a guy in the cashier give me the excuse that they lack of eggs...what a waste of time and poor customer service

Terrible Manager, rude, incompetent and lazy. Why is he even there?! He just loiters around on the phone when the place is understaffed and busy. The food takes an incredibly long time to prepare and deliver and the staff turnover is unbelievable. Seriously what's wrong with this place? Isn't there upper management that could shake things up here?

Today was my last time I bought at this place. There is always a problem with customer service. Sometimes the orders are wrong, sometimes any other thing. I'm tired of this place. I always leave mad this place because something is wrong.

Terrible customer service. They were rude, told us where to walk and stand and they got several items in our order wrong. Their sound system was playing 2 radio stations at the same time so music was blasting with different songs while we waited. Who manages a place like this? If it weren't for the bagels being good and it's the only bagel place nearby, we would never go again.

I do not get the bad reviews for this place! I stopped in on my lunch break and the employees were polite, fast, and courteous. I placed my order and had it in 5 minutes maybe even less. The service was fast, the store was clean, and the staff were friendly. Don't let the other reviews tell you differently.

I've gone there the last four weekends. Twice they've gotten the order wrong and blamed it on me. Today, I got home and my jalapeño bagel has just one jalapeño and the while I'd love to eat the hash brown they've microwaved, it's stuck to the paper so I can't actually eat it. The service is beyond slow, there doesn't appear to be a manager and they are understaffed. They are lucky they're the only game in town.

Terrible service!!! The Cashier always rush people to order!!! If I can give 0 star, I won't give the one star.

Chaotic. A bagel war zone. I give them 2 stars instead of one because there are some sweet employees there. But there are also several abrupt and very rude employees as well. I will chalk it up to bad management. The manager himself didn't seem all that polite and also didn't stay and watch over things to make sure that all went smoothly. Usually you can look to management. The cashier helping a customer next to me was laughably rude to the person she/he was helping. She/he was yelling at people to step away from the counter when done. She/he was more drill Sergeant than cashier. I couldn't help but laugh with nervous energy with the customers she/he was so rude to. They too were a bit confused by this treatment. They got my order wrong. I told a few of them plus the manager who he himself was short fused. They all acted like they were going to fix it, then they did nothing. The manager walked away and went in the back and didn't oversee to make sure things ran more smoothly despite a few incorrect orders coming out. I waited, thinking they were actually doing something. Finally, after a good while, I checked in with a nice employee and when she tried to remind the cook who obviously didn't remember to remake my order and SHE got yelled at by the cook. Lol it's nonsense. I apologized to the employee on the cooks behalf. Thankfully I am pregnant and super chill today. Or else I would have maybe confronted them all back. I just don't have it in me today. The manager is creating chaos by being chaotic himself. On a side note: the avocado toast sucks.

Abysmal would be the word best to describe my experience here. Normally I'm a big fan of Einsteins, but the service, wait, and food were absolutely horrible. We had two orders and didn't get our first one for 20 minutes. Even then the bagel still had the wrapper on the cheese when we finally got it. The second order (a simple bacon egg and cheese) didn't come out until another 20 minutes later after I had to flag down one of the servers for the second time. Unless you're trying to read all the Harry Potter books in one sitting, go out of your way not to come here.

I like Einstein because their toilet seats have little handles on them and the bathrooms are large. Bagels are good too. Lately they have been keeping creamer available instead of running out. Also they have some tables outside and they are right next to a yoga place. I know, another creepy guy. So sorry

A 20 minute wait for a plain bagel with hummus and avocado when my friend and I were the only customers there. A whole bunch of attitude when I asked if my food was still on its way and no apologies for how long it took. Absolutely ridiculous. Wish I would have walked 50 more feet to go to Bruegger's instead.

I love the bagels and cream cheese at Einsteins! Since its a chain, everywhere you try the food is the same which I love to count on. I used to go to the Chicago locations when I lived there. I am so happy they now have the jalapeño salsa cream cheese, it was delish! On top of a sesame bagel its my ideal breakfast/lunch with their chai tea latte. The reason for the 3 stars is because the service is awful. Every single employee while I visited multiple times during my stay was unpleasant and did not even break a small smile.
