Ekte Nordic Kitchen Bar & Restaurant Bloomberg

We really enjoyed our meal and the service here. We wandered into this restaurant after looking at the various options in the vicinity during our visit to London, and we're really happy with our choice. Our server (Layla) was very pleasant and offered some suggestions, all of which were great. All the staff that we interacted with were really great and smiled at every moment, it seemed. I'd highly recommend this place.

The visit was overall a truly great experience! From the welcome when we stepped in to the great food. Would definitely recommend and I look forward to come back and try more of the menu. If you do the Smørrebrød two is great as a main course as they are quite big. Meatballs was also really good! Swapped the cream fresh with the chocolate cake to vanilla ice cream, great decision. Also adding the cinnamon ice cream to the warm cinnamon bun was another great pairing. Nordic espresso was a great cocktail to go with dessert. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff that added to the overall great experience.

Me and my partner loved the food, it was delicious. The service was brilliant and staff was lovely and very attentive. It was my birthday and the manager got me one of their chocolate desserts with a candle on it- this seriously made my night. It’s such a thoughtful gesture. I will definitely visit again and recommend Ekte to my friends.

What a great find. Haven't been round this area for years. We stopped for a long lunch. Had prawns for starters hot smoked salmon and a warm potato salad. The menu had plenty of fish and seafood options. The drinks selection was also impressive - we had prosecco and a Sicilian white wine. There's an outdoor space but we say inside. Staff were friendly, attentive and professional. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

Great place to try Nordic Cuisine. Try the Smørrebrød which are open sandwiches on rye bread. We ordered mostly vegetarian options which were limited but very tasty. The Swedish Potato Dumplings are delicious. The Fennel Salad is great. The Desserts are wonderful. It's a stylish restaurant, well worth visiting.

Never tried Scandinavian food before so can't really compare but the food was very nice. Had the lamb chops as medium rare and it was delicious. My friend has the meatball and said it was really nice too. Went around lunch time so it was busy but they were able to accommodate us despite having no booking.

Thank you for a lovely evening! We hosted a private dinner for circa 20 people at Ekte on a hot evening in September. The food was absolutely delicious - new Nordic cuisine and flavours beautifully presented. The staff were attentive and very helpful. We had a few last minute changes to the table seating and they were very accommodating.

My first time visiting this restaurant and I definitely want to go back! We sat on the patio and it was very easy to book the space. Communication with the restaurant was great before our arrival. Service was a little slow after we got there. However, the food more than made up for it. I had the chicken salad open sandwich (the crispy chicken skin garnish way so yummy!) as well as the dumpling dish. Highly recommend both!

The food was excellent, we loved the ambiance inside and outside, and the service was warm and Greta each time we went. Patrick was a fantastic ambassador for Ekte, and was a standout among London restaurants. We loved the egg and Swedish mustard smorrebrod, the halibut, the aubergine, and the skagen. The drinks were also really wonderful. Can't recommend Ekte enough.

This is a nice little Scandinavian restaurant with a great range of small bites and drinks. Friendly service and great layout.

On recommendation from my server, I had the chicken Smorrebrod which was incredibly fresh and perfect for spring and summer. The chocolate cake was also delightful and fresh.

Went here with colleagues for lunch. We had a mixture of sandwiches and regular dishes. Their motto is "authentic" Nordic food. As a native Dane, I am entitled to an opinion. The selection fo open face sandwiches is very authentic to Danish lunches. The selection of herring, plaice, and cut meats is very typical Scandinavian. The sandwiches are well prepared and very tasty. One person in our party had the pork chops and it was well prepared and very tasty. Highly recommended and a great selection of food. Saw the meat balls with mashed potatoes and it looked delicious. Have to try that next time.

Not bad! Very nice people and decent service! I had never eaten Nordic food, so this was a new experience for me. The Onion Herring Smørrebrød was a bit out of my comfort zone, but the Salmon Var Smørrebrød was delicate and good. The main course of plaice fish was surprisingly delicious, because it looked like it was fried into leather, but it wasn't! The wine wasn't great, but we were not expecting much from a cafe-style restaurant. This place really shined on desserts/puddings. They were both unique, not too sweet, and a very pleasant finish to the evening.

We are trapped inside our hotel for 14-day quarantine, so are loving the delivery options for the many fantastic London restaurants Used the Supper.london website to order and found the services excellent / when the restaurant was quite busy, they called to see if it we were ok in delaying our time window to the next one (20 minutes later). We thoroughly enjoyed the delivery dinner - steak, salad, smoked salmon, blue cheese salad toast and (a most miraculous) cheese selection to finish. The French red wine option was affordable and a perfect pairing. Do recommend that you verify the contents on arrival - our cauliflower starter was missing, and there is no way via the website platform to notify.

My friend and I ate here for dinner last weeknight. It wasn't that busy so we ordered quickly and our food arrived pretty soon as well. My only minor annoyance was how hard the waitress was trying to upsell us at getting 3-4 small dishes each PLUS a main dish. Ok lady this is not going to be £100 dinner, chill! Anyway I got the butternut squash, kale, lingonberries and seeds small plate and the side of the grilled hispi cabbage with juniper and citrus butter. My friend got the soup of the day (a parsnip and leek soup I think), and the smoked carrots and the potato and wild garlic sides. I loved my squash dish: it was very light but the berries added a sweetness that really complimented the starch and massaged kale. I would have loved to get this as a main. The butter in the cabbage dish was light and sweet; a very good complement to the cabbage. But the carrots and cabbage also tasted like they lacked salt. My friend said her soup was delicious. The sourdough bread that was extra (a shame for paying extra for bread) was very good: lightly roasted and yeasty. Overall I would return here!
