I’ve been to some of the most highly recommended and rated places in San Diego on my two week trip here. This is my favorite place I’ve been and one of two places I may hit up twice on my trip. The atmosphere is awesome, the service was perfect (shoutout Daniel), and the meal… incredible. I’ve had a lot of tacos in my life, and the fillet tacos are the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. You will be doing yourself a disservice going somewhere else for Mexican food. Bonus points for how good the chips and salsa were. 10/10 would recommend

Google
Service was top notch! Food was very good and the drinks were great. The atmosphere here is amazing with all the different tequila bottles everywhere. I recommend and would go back again!

Google
Probably the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. It was absolutely outstanding. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Drinks were delicious. We were absolutely floored by reading some less than stellar reviews bc they couldn’t have exceeded our expectations any more than they did! We loved it!

Google
I wished I could give El Agave 5 stars, but sadly the host is very rude and condescending and lets down the whole experience. We had a reservation and once there, was told it would be another 15 minutes. Since the host area is small and there was line behind us, we told the host we’d wait downstairs. 5 minutes later the host is calling on my phone and complaining that he cannot see outside the host podium and in aggressive tone, asked we still wanted a table or not. I’m sure that there is a better way to say your table is ready, so would encourage some training on courtesy. Once seated however, our server Sebastian was great and was really helpful on advising us on the type of mole dishes they had. Everyone in our group enjoyed the appetizers and entrees along with the cocktails. For the food it’s worth going again, but would also explore other options in the area first due to the initial experience.

Google
I have not done many reviews lately because I find most food in restaurants these days is mediocre. El Agave is truly an exception. We had Ceviche, Sea bass, and stuffed Poblano pepper. Each was very good, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The flan for dessert was exceptional. Tremendous value for money.

Google
We had an excellent meal here! All the food and service were really good. We had the carnitas tacos, followed by flan. The cocktails are also good, and so is the beer. Our server was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable

Google
The Mexican restaurant is excellent with this décor I think they could be about 250 bottles, different shapes, different sizes, different eras. Gerardo at the counter was very good. Also help serving our table. We enjoyed the margheritas. Also, the soup salads sound Tacos and kids menu was very interesting in the desert. Mars PAN martini Flon and churros were excellent choices. Very good mexican restaurant for a relaxed dinner

Google
Came back to san diego and as always the first thing I i get is Mexican food when i come back because san diego only gets beat out by Mexico itself with its Mexican food. I tried out some of the more out there menu items this time and had some great items and some less so. The pepper relleno was tasty and a hit. The tacos with the mole wasn't as good but mole is either hit or miss for me depending on ingredients used in the sauce. The chicken in the tacos however was dry and not great to eat. The cilantro soup was interesting, kind of like a split pea soup but the flavor got too much the more you eat it.

Yelp
Agave Restaurant offers a charming dining experience that perfectly complements its downstairs tequila store. We were directed there by the friendly owner of the store, and it turned out to be a great find. The restaurant, is a small and vintage in decor, exudes a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, a well-crafted menu that highlights the best of traditional and contemporary Mexican cuisine. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff enhancing the overall experience. Highly recommend this gem for a memorable meal.

Yelp
Cool ambience. Food surpassed my expectations. Was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely come again. Some of the best Mexican food I've tasted in San Diego. Was a huge fan of the cilantro soup. Can't speak to the tequila. Service was friendly and fast.

Yelp
This is the best Mexican restaurant I've been to in the United States. I came here two days in a row during my weekend stay in San Diego. I ordered the following: 1) Cazuela de Borrego - Oaxacan style 8-hour slow cooked lamb with black beans, cilantro and salsa borracha. Served with handmade tortillas 2) Sopecitos Surtidos - handmade sopes topped with black beans and salsa verde, one with shredded chicken, another with homemade chorizo and a third with shrimp in chipotle sauce. Topped with fresh lettuce and crema The attention to detail at this restaurant is very good. They do not cut corners when it comes to the quality of ingredients and I love that their menu is just one page - indicating that they really want to focus on a select number of dishes. The tequila selection here is very impressive too, and they have a variety of tequila flights, cocktails, and margaritas on the menu. The vibe of the restaurant is also very cool, and it's located right in the heart of Old Town.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around 8 pm. They have a small parking lot but we found street parking close by. The host was able to get us a table but I would highly recommend getting a reservation beforehand. The inside is very cool! There's a ton of tequila bottles everywhere inside. Most of them are decorative but they do have a shelf that the bartender can grab from. Even the bar is very cool. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks and food from him all at once. For drinks we got the vampiro, la Rosita, and the sandia margarita. My boyfriend got an additional Oaxaca colada later on. For food we decided to share the ahi tuna tostadas, duck burritos, sea bass ajo y achiote, and cochinita pibil. The drinks were all delicious. The vampiro was a tasty Bloody Mary. The sandía margarita was a bit too sweet for me. The la Rosita was amazing! A great balance of the mezcal and sweet. The Oaxaca colada just tasted like a very strong piña colada to me but was still good. The ahi tuna tostadas were the perfect small bites. The tuna was very fresh and went well with the crunchy homemade tostadas and the avocado cream and sesame habanero chili oil! The duck burritos were fabulous. They reminded me a bit of Chinese Peking duck served with thin bread wraps. The cochinita pibil had a lot of great savory/salty flavor and was served with about 5 tortillas. Now the seabass. It was served and looked great but wasn't really seared. Upon cutting in, we realized the inside was completely raw! We weren't sure if this was right. The fish wasn't cut easily and the menu didn't imply it would be served raw. We even googled because it was so incredibly raw and online said you could eat it raw lol. We brought this to our server's attention and he immediately said it was not right. He went to have a new one made for us. When it was cooked correctly, it was fantastic and probably my favorite item of the night. It was so tender and flaky. The potato puree was well seasoned as was the carrots and zucchini. I'm a little disappointed that there was nothing done for us for the mishap. We sat and waited for the dish because we had eaten everything else. We're not ones to cause a fuss but a small discount or a little dessert would have been nice, especially because it's a nice restaurant. Maybe because we're young and not very "influential" they didn't seem pressed about it. Still, the food and drinks were great. The ambiance was amazing and the service was good otherwise. I would definitely return and with a reservation!

Yelp
Food is so fresh! Great atmosphere. Wonderful costumer service. This place is a hidden gem!

Yelp
First time to El Agave for food and what can I say, it was delicious. We got the Seabass, which was cooked to perfection and the medallions and shrimp dinner. We were pleasantly surprised when the chips were accompany made with two kinds of salsa and black beans. we ordered a flight of Anejo and a tequila old-fashioned which was delicious. The staff was attentive and we never needed anything. The restaurant is upstairs and I'm not sure if it's ADA compliance but it has 1000 if not more tequila bottles all over the place and decorated really cute. We definitely will go back .

Yelp
Took my grandmother and my nephew here on a Tuesday afternoon to celebrate my Birthday with them for taco Tuesday. Made the reservations the day before, got seated fast, was seated by the windows, the place was so elegant and so colorful and everywhere I looked there was always something to look at. Staff was very nice and attentive our server was great, amazing vibes, and food was also amazing. I had order a mocktail drink and it was delicious even my nephew enjoyed it, I had ordered another one, but they did mess up on my second order and had put tequila on it, no big deal I just had asked them to make me another one, I wasn't drinking since I had to drive they were very apologetic about it and was kind to grab me a new drink. We had some delicious fresh chips and salsa, and the salsa was spicy sweet and the 3rd one had hot beans on it which my grandma liked very much. My grandma ordered the rib-eye tacos and she said it was so tender and soooo mouthwatering. my nephew had the chicken quesadilla and fries and he finished every bite. I ordered the shrimp and steak and boy was it so tender and so good, I just want to go back and get another plate of that with the guava drink but with tequila this time, definitely worth the money and I'm taking my husband here so he can also try the delicious food and drinks they have.

Yelp
My friends raved about this place and I can understand why. This tequila/restaurant dining experience is one of a kind and we had a blast. Tequila Flights, Street tacos sampling, Queso Dips were what I sampled when I caught up with my friends at El Agave. The street tacos were all fresh and delish. My fav was the Queso Dip. I more or less inhaled a whole serving by myself. The service was fantastic. They were especially helpful with the Tequila flight details and information. Speaking of which the whole area was adorned with hundreds (Thousands?) of Tequila bottles meticulously placed for maximum decor appeal with the strategically placed lighting. The liquor store downstairs which specialized in rare tequila offerings was a must stop after his lunch and sample flights. This who dining and tequila experience came highly recommended to us by a friend who lived in the area. El Agave definitely met the expectations and I'm sure this wasn't my last visit. Cheers!

Yelp
I went here for my friend's birthday. this place is located at the end of Old Town Street. a total hidden gem, I did not know what to expect. It was blown away by the inside appearance of the restaurant. very chic, every wall is covered with different bottles of Mezcal and tequila. apparently, this place is known to have the most Mezcals and Tequilas in the whole country! and their menu reflected that, with plenty of options to have a tequila or mascal tasting. I decided to stick with a regular Moscow cocktail, which tasted perfectly balanced in flavor. they have a variety of Mexican food options. I went with the rib eye tacos that did not disappoint! One of my friends got the bone marrow tacos, which also looked amazing. we had a birthday cake that they held for us in the back and brought out with candles at the end of our meal. I will definitely be back to try more of their Mezcal and tequila varieties.

Yelp
The food and the drinks were really good The place is also pretty unique with thousands of Tequila bottles The service was ok just made us change table as our guests were joining the party

Yelp
Had a ladies evening out here and it was everything. The vibes were great and the drinks were good. The food even better. Service was on point and couldn't have picked a better spot for some drinks and dinner with the girls. Their tequila store downstairs is a hot commodity, walking into dinner we passed a long line of people buying tequila. Their parking lot is small so you're lucky if you find a spot but street parking isn't an issue. The restaurant entrance is up the stairs. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
First things first, their house tequila or signature tequila or whatever it was that I had a shot of was to die for! Extremely smooth and didn't burn or anything. Plus the shot glasses they use are creative and cute. Unfortunately, their food killed my stomach and a few of my coworkers got sick as well. I got their Enchiladas En Mole Negro. The flavor itself was only okay and I've definitely had better mole other places. I also asked for rice instead of beans since I don't like beans, but they messed that up. Their Churros were very good though! Crunchy and flavorful and I loved the dipping sauces they gave as well. This was everyone's favorite part of the meal by far!

Yelp
Great food . We will definitely be back I had the carnita tacos and hubby had the octopus Great unplanned rainy day date . Make reservations for weekends , small spot . Our service was fantastic and they were very kind .

Yelp
Truly the most quintessential Mexican Restaurant in all of San Diego! Example of why - my Husband did a lot of business in Mexico City. Our first time at El Agave he ordered a Tequila Flight which came with the side of Tomato Juice. Little did I know this was a thing, my husband shared with our Waiter that it was exactly as he had had in Mexico City and of course the conversation continued. And on to the food - they have the best Mole I've ever had! If your first time, definitely try the Trilogia de Moles! We share it, and do shares of their Ceviche Trio and Caesar Salad. IDK - I think we've been there at least a half a dozen times and it never disappoints. And ambiance? I love to eat inside because of their massive collection of Tequila Bottles behind glass - absolutely beautiful! And service is always spot on!!!! Oh and writing this as we're taking friends there tomorrow (and it was about time! ;-) )

Yelp
I had friends flying in on a late evening flight on a Wednesday. They had suggested one of their favorite Mexican restaurants in Old Town. However, upon a bit of research, we learned that most of the restaurants in Old Town close early mid-week. We wanted a nice place to sit and catch up, and the one place open until 10 was El Agave. Apparently the restaurant has been there for a long time, but I was surprised that I had never been. I arrived ahead of my friends, parked easily in the small parking lot and headed up the flight of stairs to the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was the decor... the walls are made up of bottles of tequila behind glass.... all throughout the restaurant. I was promptly greeted and seated on the indoor patio area. As it was around 8:30, it wasn't too crowded, but additional parties came in after I did. I was readily given water in glass bottles, and chips with three dips (red salsa, green salsa, and bean dip). The dips were all delicious. When I looked at the menu, the first things that I noticed were the varieties of tequila and mezcal flights. I wasn't in the mood to drink much, so I chose a Cadillac margarita instead. However, I would like to come back for a flight sometime, as they have so many varieties. The menu is not of a traditional Mexican restaurant, but a bit more high end with a bit of fusion. It is also on the pricey side compared to many of the other restaurants in Old Town. My friends and I all had margaritas and we chose various appetizers. I had the shrimp chalupas, which were very good... and filling. I took one for lunch the next day. Service was excellent. Our food and drinks came quickly, and we were not rushed at all.

Yelp
This was a hidden gem we found last minute. Got here an hour before closing. Wasn't busy, it was a Wednesday evening. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered the short rib and the pescado tacos. The short rib with the risotto was astounding. Bursting with so many flavors. Very pleased! The tacos had huge portions of fish & just the right sauces to make it stand out. We ordered rice & beans... wouldn't recommend ordering sides. The entrees are perfect!

Yelp
We had an unforgettable experience of biting the most tender rib-eye tacos we ever had so far. Even as a left over after being microwaved, the rib-eye steak that was once medium-rare and now well-done was still tender as the night before. While their menu prices are quite high, I think El Agave is worth the experience given not only their tender steaks and octopus but also their well-personable waiters and their impressive collection of liquors serving as decor.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing amount of tequilas. The food was okay. Good spot to come and get some drinks.
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
We had a great experience here. Staff is very friendly, food was great, and I loved all of the different drink options. They have a nice variety of food on the menu as well. I loved how the restaurant was decorated as well. Parking can be a little tight at the lot outside the restaurant. Otherwise, would highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! The ambiance, the decor, the variety of Tequilas, wow The Food and great prices!
google avatar

Fiona M.

Yelp
Great cocktails and ambiance! The food was good, not fabulous but nothing too special. Go for the cocktails and a few appetizers. I wouldn't go for dinner again. Make a reservation! They are on OpenTable.

Yelp
Recently visited the restaurant for a girls night out and we loved each and every dish we chose- from appetizers to desserts. Service was a bit slow but guess Saturday night was peak rush hour. Can't wait to return with my family.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
I did not see an elevator so I think you can only access the restaurant by stairs which could be an issue for people who are disabled and can't climb stairs so keep this in mind.

Yelp
We visited El Agave as part of our restaurant tour of San Diego on a recent visit. We weren't too sure of the place from the outside, based on the parking lot (part of a liquor store, and fairly crowded), but we were able to find parking on one of the side streets without too much problem. When we found the "upstairs" entrance, we were pleasantly surprised by the inside decor - all the walls are lined with glass cases holding hundreds of bottles of tequila. Very nice looking. We had a reservation for the side room/ veranda, which was much quieter and we were happy to be seated there. Conversation was easier there than in the main room. Our waiter was quite pleasant and very well informed. My wife ordered the Sea Bass Ajo y Achiote and I had the Mole Poblano Don Julio. Both were excellent dishes, and the waiter answered our questions about the ingredients involved in both. I've had mole once before, in a high end restaurant in Monterrey Mexico, and this was easily its equal. We were very full after the meal, so we passed on dessert, but this was a very nice dining experience. Highly recommended.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Will be dreaming of the short rib poblano for the foreseeable future. So delicious!! Overall, had a lovely experience! Food was great, as were the drinks. Servers were delightful. I shall return!

Yelp
So generally, if you look at my other reviews, I'm very liberal at giving out 4&5 stars. However, El Agave earned all two of these stars. Service: SLOW is an understatement. Arrived at 715p and was promptly seated and within 5 minutes drinks were ordered and chips at the table. Fast forward 20 minutes and drinks finally arrived and we ordered right away recognizing this may be a slow process. After waiting 40 minutes for 2 orders of 3 tacos we asked to cancel our food order and just pay for our diet cokes. The waiter said he'd go get our food. Finally, after being at the restaurant for over an hour food arrived. Ambiance: we sat out on the terrace. The setting had nice ambiance but almost too dark to read the menu. Food: authentic style Mexican food. Compared to most street taco trucks the food was poor. Tortillas soggy from apparently being ready and plated long before served. The tacos relatively flavorless. The price way too much for three 4" tortillas with two small pieces of meat per taco. Final thoughts: I wouldn't go back. Much better food options elsewhere and not with my time.
google avatar

Rustum N.

Yelp
The marguis were refreshing, the tacos undeniably tasty. The joint is covered with the most colorful tequila bottles in store & the staff sonsimpatico

Yelp
The place is very cool with so many choices. I had the octopus tacos and they were delish!! The bartender was very helpful in helping me choose my food and drink. What a great atmosphere and fabulous food.

Yelp
We dined here on a Monday. We loved the chips and three dips. I ordered the verde chicken mole enchilada and my husband ordered the the don julio mole dish with pork. Both were excellent. Atmosphere was so so.

Tim B.

Yelp
Go here on a date night. Go here for a special occasion. The outside appearance and location hide this gem. Their drinks are fabulous. The staff is excellent. The ambiance is great. But the food is the best thing about this place. The chips and "salsa" is a hint of what's to come. Two different salsas that are clearly house made. The third "salsa" was a warm black bean dip that was crazy. The entrees included a chicken Mole' dish and the other dish a braised short rib on a creamy risotto. The Mole' was great. It would have been even better if it wasn't for the short rib. We decided that the short rib was one of those special dishes you talk about for a long time. Don't get me wrong! The mole' is really really good, and somebody who really likes mole' would agree, the mole' is awesome. It's just that the short rib and risotto was magical.
google avatar

Darcie J.

Yelp
The overall vibe of the restaurant is gorgeous. Old tequila and mezcal bottles line the walls and the textures are stunning. It seems the restaurant specializes in mole and the different mole sauces did not disappoint. My chicken was a bit overcooked but not so much that it ruined the dish. All of the servers were very nice and helpful to our large party, but the service was definitely slow. Many of our party went without drinks for 15-20 minutes at a time and it took a long time to get the check at the end of the meal. Overall, I would come back for a date night but probably not as part of a large group.

Yelp
We had dinner nearby and was looking for a place for desserts. El Agave popped up with churros. How have we missed this place all these years? You won't find it unless you intentionally look it up. It's located on the second floor. Not sure if there were elevators but we had a stroller and child. We carried it up the narrow stairs. This place was packed, we went straight to the bar. When we walked in, we were in awe of the wall with floor to ceiling liquor bottles. The guys immediately forgot about dessert and went for the $40 Mezcal Old Fashioned. The bar sat 6 guests in these cool hot pink barber shop-like seats. We got a great show from our mixologist. He torched the system to allow the chamber to add smokiness to the drink. I observed that everyone who walked in, had a reservation unless you're chilling at the bar. For sure this place warrants another visit and this time, we must order food and churros!
google avatar

Yelp
Been coming to Old Town for years, never knew about you El Agave. So glad we found you! This place is like no other you've been to. They have the largest selection of tequila and mezcal in the country. Yes I said country. 3,600 to be exact. They're not playing. I went here to grab an appetizer and a drink before husband's flight arrived. I sat at the bar and two very nice bartenders greeted me immediately. I got the watermelon margarita and it was very good. For food I got the carnitas tacos. Delicious. I was speaking with the bartender about tequilas and he asked what kind did I like so I told him. I ended up getting a shot of El Tequilañeno and it was very good. They also have chips and 3 types of salsas for free. My husband ended up taking an Uber and he got their smoked tequila drink. He loved it. If you're in San Diego don't sleep on this place. Will be back to have dinner. Food looks and smells amazing.

Payton R.

Yelp
Okay, so 1st - make a Reservation because this place so small, intimate, and gets packed! Reservations are key to enjoying this Old Town spot. 2nd, omg, please get a drink with Tequila in it, I mean come on - the walls are covered in Tequila. The Frida is delicious and so is the Tamarindo Margarita is to die for. For appetizers we tried the Aguachile de Cameron and for entrees we had the Cameron al Tequila and the house special (apologies for the spelling). Please check out the menu, there are so many delicious options and the deserts are also great! 10/10 for the flan and churros. Honestly it may take a hot minute for you to actually get your food but the atmosphere is so intimate and romantic that you really don't mind.

Yelp
Good Service + Elegant Ambiance, but the Food falls short. The concept of the Menu is great & separates itself from the stereotypical Mexican food of Old Town but the flavors are so bland & watered down. A group of 6 of us tried 8 plates and they all were boring. Sorry.

Yelp
Romantic dinner spot alert! Amazing and very unique food menu which is unlike any I've had before. The service and ambience is 5 stars. Parking is very tricky do not park near the liquor store main entrance due to the shared parking lot. El Agave is upstairs and overlooks old town San Diego. Took my gf and she absolutely loves the house margarita and the mole enchiladas con pollo. I tried the sopes appetizer which features chicken tinga, mole, and chorizo. Also they start you off with complimentary chips with 3 different flavors for dipping which was very cool. The dessert which was recommended was the goat milk flan which is small but is very delicious and worth every penny. Overall after you get a parking spot situated you're in for a real treat. I recommend sitting on the patio table tops because it's makes for a cool dining experience.

Yelp
First time visiting El Agave and man, it was a blast! The service, atmosphere and food- everything was 10/10. To start, the restaurant is filled with bottles of tequila, giving the atmosphere a rustic and old-timey vibe. The servers are very knowledgable about the food and drinks, so please don't be intimidated. I went with the server's recommendations on both, and was NOT disappointed. For the drink, I went with the Guava Margarita. I usually don't love tequila, but this was so smooth! I could drink this all day. For my main dish, I went with the mole negro over pork. I never had mole before (embarrassing, I know), so it took me a few bites to adjust my taste buds to the new experience. Once it did though, I began to love it. The flavors were so potent and you could tell art went into making it. I definitely appreciated this dish. We were also given complimentary chips and salsa at the beginning of our meal, which was an absolute treat. You have to come try this place. You won't regret it!

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to us and man are we glad we stopped by. This is a Tequila lover's dream, as there are wall-to-wall Tequilas throughout, giving it a museum feel. We even walked away with a few recommendations our waiter gave us. There isn't any music playing that we could here, but the classic feel made from the bottles and seating areas made for a fine dining feel. The Guava Margarita was one of the best Margaritas I've had. Perfectly balanced between the guava and tequila. The La Rosita is an acquired taste. My girlfriend liked it better than I did, but it took a while. For my first time trying mole, I was pleasantly impressed. The food tasted authentic, well-seasoned, and tender. She liked her Mile negro as well. We also received chips and 3 housemade salsas before our drinks. This is a must-visit in Old Town San Diego.

Yelp
Cool place, Food was good, service was poor. Our server Carlos was inattentive and seemed to be bothered with our presence.

Yelp
We found this place and decided to give it a try. We stopped in to have a beverage so we sat at the bar. You wouldn't think it would look the way it does till you get inside. It is upstairs. I was really impressed with the collection of tequilas this place has. The bartender was super friendly and explained so many things to us. We really enjoyed our beverage choices, mojito and the unique blood orange margarita. Even got to try a shot of 7 leguas with a nice palette cleanser that they provide. I thing it's beautifully decorated, very classy looking and the place is very clean. I look forward to returning to enjoy the food at this place. So I recommend this place it is a nice change from other places we have been.

Yelp
The Mexican style restaurant sits above the store and has hundreds of tequila bottles about the walls. Their selection of tequila and tequila flights is outstanding. Their known for three different types of mole. If you like mole, I highly recommend their poblano sauce mole. They also have a dark mole and green mole. Their tacos were very delicious on fresh made tortillas. The tampiquena steak plate was also exceptional. The waiter service was very good and welcoming. We loved it here.

Yelp
Phenomenal spot. Elegant yet cozy. Small yet filling food. Great quality and tasting drinks! I have nothing bad to say about this place!! Great food, service, and must importantly.....smooth tequila!! I ordered the añejo sampler. All were very very good. Would def come back to try more varieties and for cute cocktails.

Yelp
My husband and I made it a tradition to spend valentines here and we were so disappointed with how it turned out. I booked a reservation 3 weeks in advance thinking I'd get a great dining location within the restaurant. We were placed in a dark hallway in front of a chiropractor's office. There was barely any room for the servers to rush back and forth without interrupting our meal. We loved coming here for valentines because we like the freedom of not having a valentines themed menu but we will not be back.

Yelp
What a fun girl's night spot! Absolutely loved the decor and lounge-y vibes it gave off. Could definitely be a wonderful date night spot! You don't see tamarind margaritas on the menu often so you know I had to try it! It was so delicious and they give you a good amount The food was so delicious!! I ordered Arroz a la Tumbada for my entree and it did not disappoint. The seafood was so fresh and ugh, the rice was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be returning!!!

Yelp
It's a really nice hangout or date spot! The ambiance is super cool, the decor is very thematic and intentional. I'm terms of food, I'd say it's pretty expensive. An entree doesn't really feel like enough to make you full and it's also really pricy. For taste, it was hit and miss. The bone marrow tacos were SO good but the ceviche trio felt kinda underwhelming and watery. For drinks, the guava margarita I got was very good. Id probably come back again!

Yelp
The food and drinks were great. The service was terrible. Wanted to order more food because the plates were small......nobody followed up and checked on us until we were done. Service is everything. Waiter seemed annoyed.

Yelp
Dont ever ever order the Arroz Tumbada, the waiter recommend this to me and I nver ever think that this is the way it looks, also the taste is disgusting, its madenof like bunch of tomatoes, the food that I hated most, I don't like saggy, soak in sauce and water, it's look like a food that a drunk man puke. The server is so sure to recommend that disgusting look and taste., I am planning to order the Tacos Lechon bc Filipinos are very familiar with lechon. The server is kind of lost because I asked if that is the place where Guy Fieri visted and he said he was there 2 weeks ago. Next time dont ever ever listen to any server bc they dont know what you want, I only like Burrito, Tacos, Ceviche and Steak plate with cup of rice and refried beans, but not this kind of food that is like a food for a dying person who dont have energy to chew... the most hated experience dining out. Go somewhere else there are hundreds of fine Latinos food in San Diego

Yelp
Super cool restaurant! The California burrito and ceviche was so good. Definitely coming back next time we're in the SD area. Francisco was our waiter and we loved him!
