"A meal at El Barracuda is a whole-day lunch expedition. This spot sits on an open terrace above the Careyeros beach just outside of the Bay of Banderas, and it feels like a cross between a restaurant and a beach club. When you get there, order some aguas frescas or a cold beer before taking a quick pre-lunch dip in the ocean—this is something you very much can and should do at Barracuda. When you come back from floating in the ocean, get some shrimp al pastor tacos, Peruvian-style ceviche, and oysters to round out your lunch. After you feel like you’ve eaten the whole cast of The Little Mermaid, get yourself a shaken carajillo, which combines a shot of espresso with Licor 43, and some flan for dessert. Just know they’re cash only." - Debora Mestre

This is a perfect place to catch the sunset while enjoying a delicious meal. Our family of three paid $1,200 MXN for appetizer, dinner, drinks, and dessert. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We were treated to a mariachi band and fire artists throughout dinner, which made the stunning sunset even more memorable. **Only cash accepted as payment! We will definitely be back here!

Lovely beach front atmosphere, but they gave me maybe 1/4 of my meal to go. It was easily enough for 2 people at the table (my friends shared the same dish between them and had leftovers), yet somehow I ended up with not even 1 portion to go (small Togo box pictured). I ate maybe 3 bites in the restaurant and was going to finish it later. I spent so much money and got nada. 👎🏼

I would recommend the place only for the view. Taste-wise the food is not worth the price. They don’t accept reservations so will most likely find a line waiting. Staff is friendly. They have a beach bear next door with the same menu. The lobster sandwich was meh. Fries were good and it’s a good portion.

Had a wonderful lunch last week there. If we every return to PV we will go there again. I use a cane, so wasn't possible to get up the high stairs, so we sat at a table on the beach, which was no problem.

Great restaurant, great food, terrible service. Our waitress was doing us a favor. Not even a resemblance of a smile 🙄

Love the shrimp pastor tacos and aguachile. Also, can’t beat the location being right on the beach 🏝️. Staff always friendly and quick service.

Awesome place, awesome atmosphere definitely going back no cap. It was rare for the employees to force you for tips normally Mexican people/workers will ask you and to my surprise that didn’t happen those are some of my fears when I eat in the restaurant especially by myself and ask you that there is a certain percent you can tip. But overall great experience.

Great spit for lunch! Balcony seating overlooking the beach.
