"A meal at El Barracuda is a whole-day lunch expedition. This spot sits on an open terrace above the Careyeros beach just outside of the Bay of Banderas, and it feels like a cross between a restaurant and a beach club. When you get there, order some aguas frescas or a cold beer before taking a quick pre-lunch dip in the ocean—this is something you very much can and should do at Barracuda.  When you come back from floating in the ocean, get some shrimp al pastor tacos, Peruvian-style ceviche, and oysters to round out your lunch. After you feel like you’ve eaten the whole cast of The Little Mermaid, get yourself a shaken carajillo, which combines a shot of espresso with Licor 43, and some flan for dessert. Just know they’re cash only." - debora mestre

Honestly this place is for tourist. The only reason I’d ever come again is for the beach that it’s located on. The food however was extremely disappointing especially since we ordered dishes that was most recommended/popular here. I sat with a table of 8 and no one liked the food. It was extremely expensive with small portion sizes and lacked flavor especially their ceviches that didn’t even have any lime or salt. If you come here I’d recommend just ordering a drink so you can get beach access.

‼️Highly recommend placing a reservation especially during weekends and holidays!! We didn’t make one and they had no table for us. Thankfully we had an umbrella and beach chairs, they let us walk through the restaurant with them 🏖️They also gave us the option to order to go and enjoy it at the beach. We didn’t want to waste plastic so we waited for a table ♥️ The food was great, especially the Aguachile Negro, you must try! The Piña Coladas we’re super refreshing and the best I had on this trip 👍🏼

Beach front restaurant! Location is perfect for enjoying the sunset. Getting to the restaurant was a bit complicated because we had to take an off beat road that led to a rural village before reaching the restaurant. During the day it’s fine to drive here not sure how safe it is at night. The restaurant caters to expats. Aside from offering the fresh local seafood. They also offer burgers, ribs and fries. If you go for a cocktail pick one of their signature drinks. I had the sangria which was light and not too sweet. We had a few assorted plates of seafood: octopus, shrimp cocktail and Peruvian ceviche. All plates had a creamy texture. Service here was slow. Drinks came out fast but food and bill took forever. Tip: make a reservation. We arrived without and were lucky to get a table. Waitress mentioned the place gets packed for dinner and sometimes they do not take walk ins.

A great seafood restaurant in the middle of nowhere but worth a trip. Amazing view as well. Fortunately we were staying at an airbnb steps away from the restaurant. Had fish and chips. Chips need some help but the breaded Maui Maui took F&C to the next level. Grilled octopus was excellent, a dish I never order. We will definitely return before leaving.

Fantastic spot to eat - open to the public as it’s not in the gated private land area. You can sit out on the sand, up on the patio, or inside with glass windbreak - you choose! Their bread basket has tasty flatbread worth eating. Their seafood casserole was great - 295 pesos for a main dish. Dogs are welcome and the staff speak a little English. One star off for having the worst dirt road approach

This place is fantastic and absolutely beyond tasty. The ceviche and marqcuya juice made my stay at the beach one to remember for a lifetime. Touchdown from all angles. Don't cheat yourself treat yourself and go the sooner the better.

Great little hidden place on a secluded locals beach. 1 mile dirt road to get there or walk down the beach and up to the road before the point from Conrad or Iberostar hotels 2mile walk). Secluded and private place but high quality food and drinks. Can sit inside on open restaurant or down on the beach with their table.
