Best Tacos in Bucks County | Eater Philly

"El Barrio Cantina and Tequila Bar in Southampton features a generous taco menu filled with all of your soft and hard taco favorites — ground beef, carne asada, and chipotle chicken tacos are some of the popular offerings. For a different type of taco option, try the sautéed seitan tacos or the wild mushroom tacos topped with lettuce, carrot slaw, and goat cheese." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Substandard tacos. Lacking authenticity and flavor, sopping wet on my plate, some sort of well done beef product instead of carne asada. Salty margaritas (I actually like it this way, but it was way strong) and the chips were a tad over cooked, but not inedible. The staff are very friendly and efficient. I was a little upset they didn’t have an al pastor taco, but I don’t think it would have mattered considering how bad those tacos tasted.

A hidden gem off of Buck Road. My Wife and I visited El Barrio Cantina & Tequila Bar with another couple and we were very impressed by the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. The restaurant has a fun and colorful decor with a Day of the Dead theme. The menu offers a variety of dishes inspired by Mexican cuisine, such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and empanadas. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas to share. They also have a nice beer selection and a beer store attached to the place. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food and drinks. The service was attentive and friendly, but they also gave us enough time and space to enjoy our meal and conversation. We appreciated that they didn’t rush us out of our table. We also enjoyed the live music that added to the lively and festive vibe of the restaurant. We had a wonderful time at El Barrio Cantina & Tequila Bar and we would definitely come back again. We recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fun and delicious dining experience with a Mexican flair.

I got the stake fajita. Everything was good but the steak was a bit chewy. Possibly because it was cut a thicker then fajita stake should be cut but it was still good. The waiter was wonderful and checked on me a good amount of times I personally love a attentive waiter and was happy he did a wonderful job and I never had a empty cup.

We finally made it to El Barrio and we loved it. Unique takes on Mexican dishes that did not disappoint. Not only was the food very good but the service was top notch and the restaurant had a cool decor that we enjoyed. I enjoyed the Shrimp and chorizo quesadilla, fried plantains, fig and bacon guacamole, and smores empanadas. Every was awesome.

Google
The food was less than impressive to say the least. The manager told us there was a new cook in the back and he was trying different recipes and to come back in a few weeks. He refunded all of the food that was not great and was very nice. The alcoholic beverages were great and the atmosphere was awesome. The steak fajitas steak was chewy and overcooked, the chicken in the flautas and burrito was pulled and sweet but not very good, it was missing a zing. The grilled chicken for the chicken fajita was delicious! The shrimp was awesome and the short rib was also tasty. Our large party still had a fun night and we will come back again to give them another try.

Google
I had high hopes for this place and was sadly let down. I want to start off by saying the chips and salsa were great. Besides that, the waitress was clearly miserable and didn’t mind showing it. I ordered an appetizer immediately which did not arrive until nearly 25 minutes later. It actually tasted ok but it was lukewarm, almost cold. Then to the next course. I ordered the Buffalo chicken tacos which were absolutely disgusting and had a weird tangy taste, also, cold. My guest ordered fajitas which had ZERO, I mean NO seasoning at all whatsoever. Save yourself the money and irritation- go somewhere else.

Google
Used to be our “go to” for Mexican-most recently awful for both take out and dine in . Last visit will be our last-seated at dirty table with sticky menus ( yuck!). After 10 minutes, no server stopped by. We left, told staff why and went elsewhere. Nit sure why things have gone downhill but won't be back!

Google
Joke of an establishment. Joke of an owner. Service is slow, food isn’t like how it used to be. My family and I sat for so long before a waitress even came up to take our order. Waitress did not seem nice. Staff is EXTREMELY unprofessional. Place has gone downhill, won’t be much longer until it’s gone. I would never recommend eating here. I wouldn’t even recommend it to someone I hate.

Yelp
I ate here the other day and I have a gluten allergy. Almost everything on the menu was gluten free. The waitress was extremely nice when I told her I was gluten free. I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious. I also did not get sick. It was very clean inside and i liked the atmosphere of the restaurant.,

Yelp
Service was not good. Food came out cold. Not sure how this happened since there were only 7 other people total (3 tables) while we where there. I will not go back. Shame.

Yelp
This is not Mexican owned. It's typical American style Mexican food. Loud and obnoxious , kids screaming at the top of their lungs while parents sit ignoring them, extremely slow service. Food is just ok. Nothing like you'd get at a decent Mexican restaurant but edible. The waitresses looked overwhelmed but were VERY nice trying their best to keep up with the bar room over the area we were sat at near the front door. I felt bad for them. It's a last resort sort of place when you just need to grab something and don't care what it is after a long day or if you're bored so you can watch unhappy looking families sit in silence while their kids make a mess for the poor waitresses. Give those women a raise!

Yelp
Great service. Good place to watch a football game. Had 2 margaritas. First one was great. 2nd not as good. Chips and salsa were plentiful. Very good chicken quesadilla. Took 1/2 home for lunch.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Service always on point. I go there often but got wings for 1st time and they were very very good. Game day specials are super cheap.

Yelp
Paige was amazing! We dined on a Saturday night. She took care of us the entire evening... Always checking back in and very accommodating to all of our needs. She was super helpful with our questions on the seasonal menu and we are excited to return to El Barrio for their upcoming events.

Yelp
Started with the promo Cabo flight. A good deal $17 for three 1.5oz tequilas that cost $12-13 each. Others got Margaritas and beer. The place is a Mexican pub and is attached to a beer distributor. Ambiance is a pubbery. We got the standard nacho chips with salsa and side of guacamole. A taquito and a few burritos and an enchilada. All were tasty Although my taquito could have been hotter. Service was great and we tipped liberally. Value was excellent $37/ couple. We will return. Mark & Nancy.

Yelp
Just finished our leftovers and cannot believe this place has a 3 on Yelp. We have gone there several times and have always had great service. The salsa is different from other places; it is smoky. Last night we chose the tilapia tacos and the short rib tacos, both were excellent. They have plenty of sides to choose from, so you don't have to get the traditional beans and rice like most restaurants offer. We opted against dessert, but even those selections sounded fantastic. Highly recommend trying El Barrio - plenty of tables with kids, so definitely family friendly.

Yelp
The customer service was absolutely horrible. The food was a embarrassing take on Mexican food. Worse, Mexican food I ever had! You're better off eating at Taco Bell. I ordered Carne Asada tacos and they brought me back three small tacos with iceberg lettuce, and little chunks of tomatoes. I could've made better tacos at home. Also, the food took an hour to come out and people who have came in after me had their food already. The waiter didn't even check on us the whole time we were there didn't even refill our water. I am absolutely in discuss with this place. If I could give it a negative-100 stars I would.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for dinner with a group of 4. Our server/bartender. Service was horribly slow, and rude, and the meal came piecemeal. I ordered guacamole, which came out about 15 minutes after my friends crab dip (the guacamole also tasted like sabra guacamole). For my main I ordered fajitas. Food quality 3/5 if it was hot - but everything was COLD! On top of it being cold when it arrived, it took 15+ minutes for them to bring me flour tortillas. Our group asked for another round of drinks, to which he said "I'm working on tickets, I'm busy". We got our drinks about 20 minutes later. The bartender/server took our food and drinks before they were done. The place has potential but not worth the trip. Also - pretty sure the cheese that came with my fajitas was Kraft Parmesan cheese that comes from the green shaker. *this review was edited and I took out the name of the server, because he looked me up online and called me at my job to ask that I remove his first name.

Yelp
I live very close and have been coming here since it opened. I've seen it through different owners and can comfortably say that the place is now the best it's been. Great food, great beers and cocktails, and great staff -- Tyler, Chris, Jen, Christina, Sean...you rule! They also have the best happy hour around -- highly recommend checking it out!

Yelp
Went with a bunch of people for a birthday, Service was good, waitress was friendly. Food not so good. Salsa had no taste, really dark in color which should have been my first clue. Definitely had better Mexican other places. The fig and bacon guacamole was really the only thing that was great. Frozen Margaritas tasted like crushed ice. We even asked if there was alcohol in them, the regular margarita was ok, but I think after we asked if the frozen ones even had alcohol, they doubled up on the alcohol and they brought the regular one over. So it wasn't finished. I wish the menu was bigger because it really doesn't have options like other Mexican restaurants so if you're in the mood for Mexican, I really wouldn't suggest going here. I would go somewhere that has more of a selection. Maybe it was just an off night but I wouldn't go back at all. Senior Salsa is much better. I gave two stars just because the service was great, but the actual food would be a one star.

Yelp
This food is BLAND!!! My wife just ordered DoorDash and when the food arrived it looked great. They had everything in its own container for the nachos ( to avoid soggy chips). The burrito and shrimp tacos looked good in the clam shell take out boxes. Unfortunately, that's the only thing that was good. The food was terrible...Burrito BLAND, Shrimp Tacos tasted like unseasoned chicken and everything on the nachos had zero flavor. ***I did not notice any lime flavor or cilantro on anything. Is it really Mexican food without those?

Yelp
Great food and half off drinks during 4-6 pm happy hour. The ambiance is excellent and they have an outdoor area to eat when the weather is warmer. Service is great also!

Yelp
Great spot for Mexican food with a great selection of beers. Came here in the summer with my wife for a family member birthday celebration. The food was great and the drinks were pretty decent. We have a small session closed-off to ourselves. The service was ok and could improve.

Yelp
I was mesmerized by this place as soon as I walked in. It's really cute on the inside. We got seated immediately upon arriving. I'm giving 4 stars because of the service we received tonight. Our waitress didn't give us her name. She just jumped right into what we wanted to drink and if we planned on ordering appetizers. She seemed preoccupied with other things (management/cooks yelling in the back, customers at other tables, etc). Whatever the case was, she wasn't very attentive and took a while to come over and take our order. She brought over chips and salsa to start. The salsa was amazing. It had a chunky consistency and a chipotle flavor to it. We also ordered a side of guacamole. Guac was average. I've had better tasting guac. I ordered a glass of red sangria. I was shocked at how delicious it was! For my entree, I got the seitan tacos with a side of Mexican street corn. The tacos looked great, smelled great, and tasted good, but they were lukewarm. By the time I finished the first taco, the other tacos on my plate were cold. Not sure if they had been sitting for a while but I asked for a box and decided to take the leftovers home. It would've been better had our meals been the right temperature. We didn't get dessert because we were too full but they had some really tasty items on the dessert menu so be sure to check them out if you visit this place.

Yelp
My first visit to El Barrio was great. When I saw they have brunch I was looking forward to returning. What could be bad about Mexican breakfast? Unfortunately lots. I still love the decor of this place. The large wooden doors, dimly lit skulls, cloth napkins. The decor is on point. We were presented the brunch menu which I'll include in a photo. The $10 huevos and cerveza special only included a small portion of the 24 beers on tap. We asked the waitress about them and her response was "I know nothing about the beer here." We opted to skip the special. I ordered pork eggs benedict with cilantro hollandaise sauce and my friend ordered tres leche French toast. We split the breakfast nachos. I ordered the bogo Bellini and my friend got a beer. The Bellini was not a Bellini, it was a mimosa. I decided to drink it and not complain. The breakfast nachos were the best part of our meal. The queso was fantastic. Chips were crunchy. Everything was flavored well. Sadly that couldn't be said about anything else. There was nothing tres leche about the French toast. It was boring white thin slices of bread with some strawberries and a bowl of whipped cream. The eggs benny came with hard boiled eggs, dry pork, and a smear of unflavored hollandaise safe with cilantro sprinkled on top. It looked beautiful but it was dry that i couldn't eat it. When the bill came we were charged the wrong price for the Bellinis, you know the ones that were mimosas. When we inquired we were told that we read the menu wrong but that they would adjust the price. We gave up trying to figure this one out. We ended the trip with a quick run through their beer store. They do have a nice selection but it's set up oddly. I like cider. Usually there's a cider section which they have but additional ciders are mixed in throughout the store in random spots. I grabbed a six pack of mixed ciders and my friend grabbed an IPA case.

Yelp
Overall the place and the service was nice. The appetizers were not good. We ordered the Mexican fries and a side of queso and chips, both were cold. The meals were a little better, I think the burrito is the best bet because it stays hot. All and all I think this establishment (and most) are just doing the best they can with the little staff they have.

Yelp
Place has gone downhill a lot. It used to be a fun place with good food/beer....now $2 for a refill of crumbled/broken tortilla chips AND more $1 for refills on salsa....and we were ordering multiple rounds of drinks at our table! Then, the main dishes were much lower quality and smaller portions compared to previous visits. Won't be going back..what a shame.

Bette G.

Yelp
After a few good meals here, last night's was so disappointing, I always get the same thing. Chicken fajitas. They have been flavorful and the portion adequate. The fare was so very poor. The chicken had zero flavor and was sparce. The container was mainly full of green peppers. But the worst thing was the container of guac was brown. How they could have sent it out like that was a mystery, to me. My chicken was so disappointing, it went to dogs the rest went in the trash. My husband called mostly to tell them about the guac, but told them about the entire disappointing experience, and was told the owner was right there. The response was he could come back and get a new serving of guac. We certainly were not gong to do that, since the dogs had eaten the chicken and rest was in the trash, and now we coming back at all. We have been ordering at least once a week. Obviously, we won't be missed.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place from the moment I walked inside. Tucked away behind a strip mall, I did not have high hopes. But I was surprised: the interior felt authentic & really blew me away with repurposed architectural woods & seating. The whole place really carried the "cantina & tequila bar" atmosphere very well. And the restaurant and tables were very clean. Unfortunately, that is the end of the good things I can say about my visit. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made a strong appetizer recommendation. We tried it, the "street corn shrimp." They were breaded shrimp served with a wing sauce of your choice. The appy was overpriced and unremarkable. I ordered Short Rib Enchiladas which would have been more aptly named "All Fat, No Beef Enchiladas" because there was very little substance to the meat, but 85-95% fat. Honestly, it was pretty gross. I relied on the just-average rice & beans to fill me up. My partner ordered a quesadilla with shrimp & chorizo. It was merely average, except to say it also had an excessive amount of grease. Let's talk about the "Margarita Special" - White Peach. If you LOVE DeKuyper Peachtree Schnapps, well... that's exactly what this so-called margarita tastes like (peach schnapps + ice). Don't get me wrong: I love it in a fuzzy navel, but marketing a drink as a margarita implies the foundation spirit oughta be tequila (you know, as in "El Barrio Cantina & TEQUILA Bar") with an optional supplemental flavor such as peach. If this "margarita" walked into any other tex mex restaurant, it would be laughed right out the door. Service was friendly, but just average. Especially the part where the most expensive signature cocktail mysteriously appeared on the check in addition to the beverages we ordered. Sure, mistakes happen. But when you have to wait another 15 minutes for the server, who had been actively passing the table for the entire meal, to return to take the check back to correct it, it leaves you to wonder.

Yelp
I arrived around 9 pm with a party of 3 and waited less than 5 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was hosting an ugly sweater party that night, so there was a DJ playing music which I found a bit loud and noticed more than once that I had to shout to be heard over it. We were provided with complimentary chips and salsa, which were delicious and refilled once. The tequila selection here is phenomenal, with dozens of choices including everything from quite affordable blanco tequilas to exquisite extra añejo varieties. I ordered a patrón margarita and the short rib tacos, while the other two in my party chose the shrimp and chorizo quesadilla and Viva El Barrio (a steak and shrimp dish). All of the food was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. There was no salt or pepper provided, but the food was good enough that it wasn't needed. Overall a very good experience, and I would definitely recommend it, especially if you're a tequila fan

Yelp
*Spoiler Alert: FOOD POISONING* I loved this place & the food UNTIL last Friday night. We went in to order takeout and have a drink at the bar. The bartenders literally ignored us, though neither the bar nor the restaurant were full. Like literally no eye contact, which is just super annoying as a customer. & I was charged for 2 drinks when I only had 1. (We ended up ordering the food via DoorDash at the bar bc we couldn't even get a menu from the bartender) However, the worst part is that we both got food poisoning which is extremely unsettling. We've narrowed it down to either the salsa or the chicken, based on who ate what and who got sick, once we went home and fed the family. Really sad because we really loved this place but obviously won't be returning.

Yelp
The fajitas here were some of the best I had in a long time. I got the chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas and it was delicious. It came out bubbling and tender, with tons of veggies. The sides that it came with were great as well. One negative might be the lack of spice in the dish.

Yelp
First time here for a surprise birthday party. Service was friendly and quick, food was tasty and plentiful.

Yelp
Let me start by stating it takes a LOT for me to leave a bad review for any business. We arrived to no hostess but a young waitress in a hurry mentioned for us to seat ourselves and she'd be with us shortly (without ever breaking her frantic stride). We quickly learned why. She was not only waiting on tables, she was answering phones, mixing drinks, and for all we know cooking the food! We actually felt really bad for her. She brought out complimentary chips and salsa, and I asked her if they were gluten free. She said "I think so", and I conveyed to her that I am severely allergic, and needed to know for sure, if they are GF and cooked in a dedicated fryer (one that doesn't also fry food that contains gluten). She checked with the "chef", and confirmed that they are gluten free. A while later she returned with the 2 orders of Chicken Fluatas. They were so overcooked that I thought they were sitting in a bed of refried beans. It was actually the chicken that was burnt to a jet-black crisp, and broke free from the rock-hard tortilla wraps that just crumbled when we took a fork to them. My wife and I took one bite and quickly realize they were inedible. We flagged down the waitress, who then went to her manager, who then took them off our check and gave us cards for a free app and margarita (which we instantly knew, we'd never use). Never once did we see the manager. We then had to tell her that she had yet to take our main order (this was after being there for at least a half hour). Not feeling confident about the safety of the food, I ordered something hard to mess up -- pork carnitas. She then asked corn or flour tortillas, and I replied "Well it has to be corn, because as I mentioned, I'm highly allergic to gluten". I then asked if the Mexican rice was GF. She replied "what's Mexican rice?", which threw us all for a loop. After going back and forth, she finally said "oh, is that the stuff that has different colors in it?". I replied "yes" and she said it was. When she returned with our food a loooong time later, I asked if I could have a refill on my soda (my kid's got a refill earlier). She took the glass, but never returned. Ended up not mattering, because I only took one bite of the carnitas and a few of the rice. The carnitas were cold, mushy, and had some disgusting tasting slop at the bottom of them. I wanted to spit out the bite, but managed to get it down. The rice was flavorless and undercooked, so it was hard. My wife had a similar experience with her food, and mentioned that she thinks they just took canned beans and boiled them -- Zero flavor. We got the bill, and noticed she charged us for all 3 soda refills. We then had to wait for her to get her unseen manager to correct it. BTW, the waitress made the rookie mistake of handling all of our drinks by lifting them from the rims with her bare fingers (instead of the base where one's mouth doesn't touch). To make matters MUCH worse, I got gluten poisoning from the little bit of food I ate (2- bites to be exact, not including the chips/salsa). That was the deciding factor to finally leave this review. I now have to look forward to what could be as much as a week of burning hives, brain fog, sweaty palms, and sleepless nights, due to pure incompetence and negligence. It's a shame, because the owners obviously made a substantial investment in the space, which is quite nice. However the food is not Mexican -- it's flavorless garbage, that at least my chickens enjoyed. And the service is horrendous. My advice is to hire someone to turn around your restaurant, or it won't be around much longer (like the guy from Restaurant Impossible).

Yelp
Fantastic place all the way around. Great service and food is great. I like the takeout section of the restaurant.

Yelp
Been back several times. Great local gem. Bar is big, lots of beer choices. Food always good. Try all the flavors of the wings. Delicious. We keep Coming back. Great Mexican restaurant

Yelp
This place is great. Best Mexican food in the area. The carnitas chimichanga is great. Queso is amazing. I was so happy eating here tonight. This was my 2nd visit and I'll def be back for a 3rd, 4th, 5th...

Yelp
I would say 3 1/2 stars. My friends and I wanted Mexican but I didn't want to go to Las Margaritas and tried to find something not too far away but new to try. We went around 7 on a Sunday night and the main dining room seemed to be closed for the night so we sat at a high top table in the bar area. That was not a big deal however service was incredibly slow & when our waiter took our drink order he completely skipped my friends. Please keep in mind there were only 4 of us. The bar area wasn't packed but it seemed to take forever to get our meals and he completely disappeared after he dropped off the check. We seriously waited over 10 minutes for him to come back to the table. Once we were sat someone came out and put chips and salsa on the table. I loved this plus we all were starving! We ordered queso to go with our chips and it came out in a metal dish that they toasted in the oven. I have never seen this before and it was delicious and I would definitely order that again. I loved that they had a monthly specials menu, along with the regular menu. I decided I wanted something on the healthier side after all those chips and queso, so I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos. They were very good, I thought the shrimp were on the smaller side but none the less I really enjoyed my meal. My hubby ordered the shark meat quesadilla, he was happy with it but there was no way I was trying it. My meal came with the choice of one side and I chose the Mexican rice, i really did not like and would recommend staying away from it. It was made with brown rice and it didn't seem like it was cooked all the way. I love that they offer flights of tequila and think this would be a great place to come and catch up with an friend and do a flight or two... obviously you will need a uber.

Yelp
A decent spot to go if you're craving Mexican food however I'd argue their bar is light years ahead of their kitchen as the food is somewhat hit or miss in terms of consistency and quality (sometimes decent sometimes subpar) - if you're coming here for drinks and appetizers/tapas with friends or coworkers I'd give it 4.5/5 stars but if coming to dine in I would give it a 3.5/5 stars - I'm honestly not sure whether the shortcoming is due to their food supplier, cooks' preparation, or just needing a menu revamp but a review of these issues would bring this spot to the next level.

Yelp
Wow. I am literally appalled by this establishment. Last night I came to this restaurant with my boyfriend and I honestly can't even write this review without steam coming out of my ears. My family and I frequent this spot, but will no longer be returning. We ordered the Mexican burger and the burger bun came out with mold on it. I very politely sent it back and told the waitress, Jackie, why. The waitress was super polite and apologetic and acknowledged that the bun in fact had mold on it. A few minutes later, she came back and said the chef said it was "a seed." Sure, a green, hairy, moldy seed? No way. You could also tell she was thinking "my boss is a mean, rude man and is making me tell you this, I know there was mold on that bun." Fast forward a few minutes - the General Manager, Zolt, comes over and very arrogantly and rudely tries to start a fight. He said "he doesn't sell mold." He didn't apologize once. We were the bigger people and asked for the check and left. They took the burger off the bill...I would've appreciated an "I'm sorry" more. I urge you to avoid this restaurant and I know for sure I will not be back. With management like that, it's best to stay away... The owner, Zerrin, also reached out to us and said she would give us a $50 gift card to take this review down...SMH...

Yelp
Been here a few times this year alone. It gets better and better. From drinks to apps to our meals. All fresh and tasty! We've had Destiny as our server several times. She's always happy and super attentive. It's a great place.

Yelp
I first started hitting up El Barrio in 2019 and I've always really really enjoyed the food. Absolutely zero complaints there! And at the time, the bartenders were some of the most knowledgeable about craft beer I ever came across. I would sit at the bar and talk beer literally for hours with them. Since then, in 2020, my experiences with the bartenders have been nothing short of horrific. Seriously, for a place that prides themselves in a wide craft beer selection and even sports their own bottle shop, the lack of knowledge by the current bartenders is astounding. The simplest of questions about their current beer lineups and beer styles typically generates a "deer-in-headlights" reaction from them. And it's been from several different bartenders. I know there's a pandemic going on and the establishment may have lost their finest talents due to COVID-19, but the current state of the bartenders is simply just unacceptable. I want the guy pouring my craft beer to know at least a little something, and the current ones seem totally clueless.

Yelp
Great happy hour! Margaritas are excellent and the food is good. Can't wait to go again.

Yelp
Stopped by for happy hour on Taco Tuesday.. the restaurant itself is inviting and you would think you would get a great experience... WRONG! Happy hour on Instagram was posted til 6:30.. (I looked at an older picture I guess). Not until 6:30.. only until 6. Sat at the bar for drinks. The bartender walked by us 4 times and didn't acknowledge us. Finally did and when we asked about happy hour.. we were promptly informed it ended at 6. Waited around for another 10 minutes while the bartender continued to ignore us.. he finally asked if we wanted menus. We agreed and he went into the back of the bar when literally the menus were directly in front of us under the bar. Bottom line.. we didn't eat there because I would much rather spend my Money at a mediocre restaurant with great service then any restaurant where the wait staff is straight rude!

Yelp
The Food was good. The Service was too. The Portions were awesome. What more could I say? I'd go back.

Yelp
El Barrio is back! The restaurant must be under new management or something like that. The menu is better again and the pricing is reasonable. They don't seem to be constantly paring down their availabilities/specials month by month.

Yelp
I saw big county Saturday night! Great band-worth checking out The margaritas are not that junk mix-the real deal. It was so busy, but both the bartenders were cuties and made tasty drinks Def. Worth a visit!

Yelp
1. Daily happy hour Specials are a Lie... They Advertise a Free Taco with EVERY draft, bottle, liquor, wine, cocktail, or sangria order. REALITY: Only your FIRST drink will come with a free taco. Every other drink is not on special & does NOT come with a free taco. 2. They no longer have beer happy hour specials of $5 beers for drafts numbers 1-10. Their $5 House Margaritas are no longer an option for happy hour as well. The only margaritas they have on specials are 2 different margaritas at $10 a pop for a 12 oz size (normally priced at $14). I can go to Mad Mex in Willow Grove & get $7 22oz margaritas for happy hour & $5 22oz craft beers during non happy hour times. $10 margaritas is a RIPOFF! 3. They will not to Separate your check for large groups! We asked for the 1st round of drinks to be closed out & a new tab to be opened. Our waitress refused & said she's spilt the check at the end. The check came at the end of the meal & was completely unreadable to see who ordered what. Tab was paid for by one person in our party instead of dealing with the headache of people counting individual drinks & food. The waitress could've spent 5 extra minutes of keeping everything separated by seats #1 through 10 per person. The restaurant was Dead between 4-5:30. It's not hard to separate checks by person. It's an organization quality & to not spilt checks is pure laziness. 4. One person in our party showed up at 5:45pm (15 min before happy hour ended) & our waitress noticed her sit down. The waitress huffed & puffed & walked away from her because she didn't want to take her order. She showed up, only to come back at 6pm (end of happy hour) & took her order. My friend requested happy hour specials and she was told no. The waitress said she couldn't apply happy hour specials after 6pm in the computer. If the waitress had taken my friend's order when she 1st arrived she would've been served happy hour specials. The waitress was greedy for wanting full price menu tips & too aggravated to deal with another person showing up to get the happy hour specials in on time. Overall the Happy Hour Specials are no Longer worth it! The service is below PAR & completely unprofessional. Find somewhere else to go for happy hour! My coworkers and I will be going to a different Mexican restaurant for happy hour from now on. Mad Mex is Willow Grove, On the Border in Bensalem, Las Margaritas in Southampton, Margaritas in Fairless Hills are all better choices than this place.

Yelp
Husband found this place and thought we should try it. We have absolutely no complaints. No wait early on a Saturday night. Service was great. Didn't wait for anything. Waitress was friendly. Food was really good. Husband loved the fish tacos, I had carne asada. We each got an appetizer. Crab tostadas and crab queso. We shared a huge pitcher of sangria and had the apple empanadas. The place is cute and they have a huge list of tequila to try. 10/10

Yelp
Steer clear of the mole. The food was pretty awful and we heard a lot of great things about this place so I was very disappointed. It looked great in terms of aesthetic and atmosphere, but we're not coming back. The little beer shop was neat, that's about it.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner after driving by because we were so hungry. We never heard of this place so we went in with 0 expectations. It was an early Saturday night but we got sat right away. The service was good, my server pointed out drink specials I would not have known about. We decided on crab guacamole, short rib tacos and chicken enchiladas. The food was took a bit but it was Saturday so that was fine. It was pretty good when we got it and the portions were decent. We ended up needing leftover boxes because we filled up so much on the free chips and salsa they give when you arrive (we were hungry!) I was perturbed about all the female servers I saw with their long hair not in a hair tie. Who knows where those hairs have landed.

Yelp
Tried this place for Tuesday Tacos. We ere taken straight away, sat out in the covered part of the rear patio. Had a very attentive server, good beer choices, lived that we could mix out tacos as opposed to a set number of the same. So we tried 1 of each and then reorder seconds on the fish taco, the pork taco and short rib (mind you, I am not a short run or pot roast fan), however these ended up being the most flavorful. Love that they have a bottle shop, went home with a nice assortment of beers to try. We'll be back.

Yelp
For this place to be owned by same owner as Na'Brasa and Iron Abby I would expect much better food. Every thing I ever was not very good and over priced for the quality. Very good bar selections of drinks and beers. Still wish they would bring back Maria's Catania!
