I came to this restaurant with my workmates for lunch. I ordered the '4 Esquinas' dish with a horchata. The horchata wasn’t very good—in my opinion, it had too much vanilla. I’m not an expert, but the flavor seemed off. The food itself wasn’t very tasty either. That said, the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and the waitress was very kind. I think they should review their recipes, but overall, the place is still good.

We have eaten here three times. The third was the best. The steak fajita was sizzling this time. Burrito deluxe was nice. We all enjoyed our food. Kids had Fry's. The server should have offered refills on drinks.

Hidden gem in Butler county. Food is delicious and service is great. Their breakfast burrito is the best burrito I've ever had. The bean and cheese dip is addicting. I would definitely recommend giving them a try

Had a excellent lunch experience today! Friendly service from start to finish. Sat on the patio for a lovely experience with fantastic weather! Recommended on comfortable days! 👍 Ordered chorizo tacos with rice, a garden salad add avocado & Aztec soup. Exactly what we where looking for! The chorizo had just enough spice, salad was very fresh & soup was zesty & absolutely yummm! Will return when in the area. 100% recommend

First time ordering an online order for pick up, and ordered Taquitos Mexicanos from the House Combinations section. My fault for thinking a combination included rice and beans for $14.99. They were hot and tasted good but definitely not worth $14.99 especially since I was expecting a complete dinner when I arrived home. Chips and salsa was a nice surprise. If I try again, will definitely call before ordering to ensure combination means I'm ordering a complete meal and not an expensive al carte entrée.

I went in and paid/picked up the wrong order tonight…got most of the way home, realized it and turned around and took it back. I witnessed them then give it to the rightful people (we didn’t-but could have opened and done whatever to it). Got my order, got home and it was wrong again. Called them, they refused to refund that meal for me. The manager was incredibly rude, telling me that the burrito I received was the same as the chimichanga I ordered. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will avoid in the future

Google
Found a review and decided to give them a try. I’m glad I gave them a try, the waitress was friendly, good and nice. The food is better than most Mexican restaurants out there. I had the fajitas and the meat was flavorful, tender and overall had a better taste than most I’ve had in the area. Chips were warm and salsa was good. I’d recommend for a nice meal.

Yelp
We went after church yesterday and the service was great and timely. I ordered the chicken tacos prepared like street tacos with corn tortillas, cilantro, and onion. They were excellent. Someone else in our party got the steak and it had rave reviews as well. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
We decided to try something new .I don't mind a small place .i like the no bells and whistles, just good food type places .so I thought ,this could be it .Negative.It was very.Freezer isle Mexican food .The appetizer we got was a sad attempt .plain flour tortillas with cheese .rolled tacos fried ,cheese dip and sauce .Just a bunch of garbage on a platter .The tables were filthy .Sticky .even got a sticky stain on the sleeve of my shirt from touching the underside of the table .Kinda gross to be honest .The horchata was from a powdered mix .Sooooo disgusting and disappointing.I ordered one taco .It was pretty good .my boyfriend ordered a plate of food that had shrimp and they were very over cooked ..never again .

Yelp
Went here for the first time with my husband & our neighbor for lunch. We were seated immediately and salsa & tortilla chips were placed on the table while we perused the lunch menu. The chips were delicious but the salsa was pretty much flavorless. I ordered a crunchy beef taco & beef chimichanga which came with refried beans & Spanish rice. My husband got a steak burrito which also came with refried beans & Spanish rice. The food was quite average/bland and nothing to write home about. The service was good though. Our food came out within 8 minutes of ordering. Probably won't return as there are better Mexican spots in the county.

Yelp
Awesome take out Mexican. Since this was enjoyed during the quarantine era, I can't speak to the dine-in service or ambience. We enjoyed Burritos Roqueta, Burrito El Barzón, and Margaritas to go. Both burritos were really good, but I would actually go so far to say the burrito el barzón was phenomenal. Chicken, steak, shrimp, chorizo, pineapple, and melted cheese are combined perfectly to create the mouthwatering burrito el barzón, highly recommend. Now, the burritos Roqueta did have an excellent combination of cheese sauce and something with a bit of kick ontop which was really really good too. The food was all packed properly for carry out and kept well until we got home to eat it.

Yelp
Quickly becoming our favorite Mexican restaurant!! Always great service, always great food and the chorizo is the best I've had! We drive 40min just to eat here!

Yelp
My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. It's 30 minutes South of me but a buddy of mine lives in Trenton and we get together three or four times a year to drink and eat like pigs. This is always our meet up spot. Great service, delicious authentic Mexican food with massive beers. The complimentary salsa is pretty weak but it's on par with just about any other place I've been to.

Daron H.

Yelp
Hometown favorite, great food and fast service as you would expect, lots of great choices there

Yelp
Good margaritas and food. Service is always a bit slow when we go but always enjoy myself

Yelp
I love this place. I'm originally from New Mexico and this is the closest to real Southwest style cooking I've seen since moving to Ohio. I had the chile rellenos and a choice of sauce -- I chose green. It was so good. I've had their chicken chimichanga and it was amazing. For a small town restaurant this is a sure bet. The service is awesome as well. They aim to please. It's a must-go.

Yelp
Our go to Mexican restaurant. Family friendly, speedy service, delicious food. The owner is so kind and so helpful. We tell everyone to give it a shot. You'll love it!

Yelp
I visited El Barzon with a friend for lunch, after it was recommended to us by several people. I ordered the Barzon burrito, which is a carnivore's delight for sure, containing steak and chicken, topped with chorizo, shrimp, and a white cheese sauce. I actually found myself wishing there were some vegetables thrown in to break up the meat, but it was very tasty. The chorizo wasn't too salty like I've found it to be at other restaurants, and the shrimp (something I'm not a huge fan of) were exceptionally tasty. My friend ordered a delicious-looking fried item filled with cheesecake, which came served with ice cream and whipped cream, and though he regretted putting that and his meal away, he enjoyed both. The decor is quite unique and charming, and shortly before noon while we were there, there was no crowd to speak of. Our waiter was rather sullen, about the only truly sour note I can mention, and I never received a refill on my water. He did offer to refresh our chips and salsa, which is always appreciated. I hope he was just having an off day, and I plan to return to reassure myself of that.

Yelp
The food is great and the service is greater but when they talk in Spanish I get insecure and feel like they are talking about me

Yelp
I was very disappointed all around. Off the bat: Chips were stale, salsa had no flavor. The restaurant was nearly empty and the service was terrible. Our waiter forgot multiple things we had asked for and disappeared for long periods of time, even prior to ordering our food. The two others dining with me were very unhappy with their meals, however they have earned a second star because I enjoyed mine. I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas and although the vegetables were MUCH more oily than they needed to be (or I've ever had before) the meat was cooked perfect. Stopped there. We actually got up and poured our own water refill during one of our servers MIA time period. Will not return here.

Yelp
The food is good, sometimes great sometimes leaves you wanting. The service on the other hand is top notch, always prompt and with a smile. Reasonable drink prices and massive beers are my favorite part of the place. I like coming here in the afternoon with the guys from work for some food and major league day drinking.

Yelp
My current favorite mexican place in this area! I used live closer to it! BUT and this is more an annoyance... they list my favorite dish, the Burrito Roquetta as a pork burrito with GREEN TOMATILLO sauce and cheese sauce, which is consistent with other places I've found it. BUT without exception, *every time* I've ordered it unless I *say* "With the green sauce" I will get it with a red sauce that I don't like as much. A few times even when I said it it still came out red and I sent it back. We've pointed it out on the menu, they've gone to the back with the menu, and we've send it back numerous times (Last time they forgot the cheese sauce, sigh) even had the waiter tell me a few times I was wrong and *did not* say it (everyone told him he was wrong) ... yeah I could stop ordering it but it's SOOOO good. So for not presenting dishes as advertised on the menu, and all the trials of just trying to get my favorite thing as they say they make it, I am knocking off a star. If htey woudl just make things like the menu said I'd be fine. As an aside the beef and cheese dip is awesomesauce and this is still the best Mexican for miles and miles around and what it's doing in Trenton is a stumper to me.

Yelp
Great food and the staff always remembers you and your order! Fast service, large menu, nice outdoor patio.

Lisa M.

Yelp
We eat there 2 or 3 Tim's a week. Either there or take out. We are known by name. They even know what we want to drink and let Ilya sit wherever we want. Love it. Food and service amazing

Yelp
Conscientious, staff, fast and friendly service. I enjoy the Yolanda's Plate(Chicken Enchiladas). Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
By far my favorite restaurant the service is top notch, always greeted with a welcoming smile. Food is fantastic

Yelp
I'd rather go to Taco Bell. The menu does not describe the food well, I ordered tacos that literally said "diced steak cooked in a spicy sauce" They looked great but I took one bite and it had huge chunks of pineapple in it. They could have warned me; I hate pineapple. I ended up just having the beans & chips.

Yelp
We are finally done . Taco bell across the street has better food. Nobody cares if the meal is bad. Management is terriable. Good luck . My hard earned money will be spent elsewhere!

Yelp
I live close to El Barzon. It is awesome! Great authentic mexican food and the coldest beer in town. We love this place. The Burrito Loco is my personal Recomendation

Ryan T.

Yelp
This is one of the better places around Trenton to eat. Usually pretty good service, and the food has always been really good in my opinion. I will keep going there, and I recommend it to all my friends.

Yelp
Hands down one of my favorite spots for Mexican food. Close to home and friendly service as well as outstanding food. If you haven't tried it, stop by

Yelp
Their food is good. The problem is the service when something is wrong. We got food to go, it was sat on the counter for who knows how long before we got there. Got home and was missing part of our order. It most likely got mixed up with the guy that was standing behind us for a to go order as well. When we called the owner said nothing about replacing out food. He kept Insisting that he gave all our food to us. Very rudely! Told us to "bring me my food, and I'll you your money back". After 5-7 mins on the phone and him not even apologizing. We hung up. I don't want free food. I want the food I ordered. At least an apology for messing it up would have been nice! The following day (today) they have Nikki call and say she knows what happens to the food and to come in a get it or get a refund. My guess is the other guy complained that he didn't get his right food either. There's been a few other issues with them. Very cold food. service sucked. But we will NOT be going back back. It's a shame that we only have a few places to choose from in Trenton and these people want to act like they did nothing wrong! Not every one there is rude. The owner is for sure. We had another issue in the winter with a newborn baby. They were busy and we had to wait in the small room in the entrance, and it was 20 degrees outside they had a crappy heater and the room was freezing because people coming in and out. We opened the door to the main part of the building and the lady writing names down was rude. Said "I'm freezing! Close the door!" Mind you we have 4 adults and 5 kids and a newborn. She wouldn't get the owner. We have given this place so many chances and it's always something!

Yelp
Hands down the best Mexican restaurant around. Every thing I have ever ordered has been excellent. It is family owned and ran. The service is great. Usually no to little wait to get in and the price is not bad. Great margaritas and the ice cold Modelo on draft which is my personal favorite!

Yelp
It was just ok. I felt we overpaid for typical "Mexican" food. I don't feel the need to return, however, the service was good.

merle s.

Yelp
This place is surprisingly nice with excellent food. I always expect the decor in a small family owned Mexican restaurant to be a little corny, but they did a really nice job. Looks great. Now the food, it is also surprisingly good. I've lived in San Diego for 25 years and I know good authentic Mexican food, and this place delivers. Naturally some of their menu items have been modified for their customers' Midwest palate, but the food are tasty and they'll gladly make your meal 100% authentic Mexican. Prices are very reasonable with a good selection of beers and very healthy margaritas. I highly recommend this place.

JS R.

Yelp
This was recommended as having "great" Mexican food. I disagree. In my opinion a true test of "good" Mexican restaurant are their fajitas. They should be nice strips of juicy strip steak cooked with onions, tomatoes and peppers with natural meat juices. These were dry, over salted pieces of beef that tasted like they were seasoned with Old El Paso taco seasoning. Another good test? Take a look at the clientele in a Mexican restaurant. If it's all white suburbia it's probably not that great at least in Cincinnati where most Mexican food is doused in "creepy white melted Cheese Whiz" that everyone seems to have accepted as the norm. Where's the shredded chihuahua cheese? Where can you get great Mexican food in southwest Ohio?

Nathan G.

Yelp
Great Food and good prices. I have tried many different items here and have not been disappointed. We always get great service and the food is always as expected. They do also have different drink specials all day long Monday-Friday that you cant beat. If your in or around Trenton then this is the best Mexican place!
