Beautiful place! Atmosphere is amazing, drinks are freeking awesome and staff is extremely welcoming. Our bartender is so nice, let us choose the music we w at to hear (that’s awesome). Please stop by and taste their drinks (which are pretty strong ;). )

Only Had $5 margaritas to go. So I can't comment on the food. The server/bartender was great. Stopped by around lunch time on Saturday while walking around Pilsen. The $5 margarita sign caught the attention of my significant other since she loves margaritas. I was very pleased that the margarita was balanced but at the same time you could take the alcohol. I've had margaritas priced between $18-20 in the past and this margarita holds its own with being top 5 I've had. I did notice that it was hard to get service since it's located kinda basement style. The bathroom was clean and the mural was a cool addition.

Berrinches means tantrum and that’s is exactly what your going to throw here. Where to start, they forgot to put half our order in. We were a large group and we were there celebrating Father’s Day during the week. Place was empty maybe two other tables. So they forget half our order, food comes out in waves, so some people have food others don’t. Drinks- horrible, I ordered a mezcal old fashion and What I got was like rubbing alcohol with kook-aid. The rest of the drinks were equally bad. Presentation, son tacos there no need to dress them up, this isn’t a bayless restaurant, no need to do fancy plating. Food, más feo que pegarle a Jesús en Semana Santa. It wasn’t that good. The the tacos had some fusion thing going on, but to be honest nothing of note and nothing to come back for.

Loved the taco selection. Was sad that they didn't have any avocados to make the fried avocado tacos. We chose some really good alternatives however. The service was a bit slow and our food came out in waves as I've heard described in other reviews. I got a mango mojito and it was pretty good. The mushroom Taco was the absolute best out of the four that we ordered. I would definitely love to go back and try order a different drinks. All in all I had a very happy Taco Tuesday.

El Berrinches in Pilsen is a solid spot when you're craving something different. I tried the Pancita a la Coca-Cola Tacos—the pork belly was tender, and the sweet-savory glaze was on point. Also had the Camarones Nachos; the shrimp were juicy, and the toppings were generous. The vibe is chill, and the staff is friendly. Spent around $35. Only knock is the wait time during peak hours.

This place is amazing! The food is amazing! Everything is good! It was just really good! It’s better than the restaurant across the street! Way better!

El Berrinches is the spot if you’re looking for some bomb Mexican food in the area. I grabbed a couple of tacos de carnitas and one of their sizzling fajitas, and both hit the spot! The carnitas were so tender and juicy, and the fajitas came out piping hot with a side of fresh tortillas that you just can't beat. I also ordered a nice cold horchata to wash it all down—perfectly balanced, not too sweet. For about $20, I left feeling stuffed and happy. The vibe's chill, service is solid, and the food? Just top-tier. Definitely coming back for more!

Stumbled upon this quaint Mexican Restaurant in West Pilsen area (off Ashland) and I love it. They have a $5 margarita special daily and free chips/salsa. Overall good food. The rice could use a little sprucing up with flavor or sauce but I liked my food and drinks both times I’ve visited. Servers were nice and attentive. They self DJ from an iPad, so feel free to drop a music request. 😉 Things I tried: Guac, Rice (fun orangish color), black beans, al pastor tacos, empanadas, margaritas and strawberry fresca. Side note, heart shaped tacos for Vday

Yelp
(review from july 2024) this was my second time at this restaurant within the past 2 weeks. the first time my friends and I were looking for cheap margs and found this spot. we were confused how to get inside at first until someone told us to walk down the side alley walkway. there's lots of seating inside and a small patio outside. our waiter the first time was attentive and quick to help us. the chips and salsa are yummy. our drinks were good and strong. as for food we got the enchiladas and quesabirria. the food was not that great. enchiladas would get a 2/5 and quesabirria maybe a 3/5. wouldn't order either again. the second time we came we were a larger group and had a different server. it took one hour just for us to get our drinks. there was one other family eating there too so it's not like they were busy. i got the pitcher of pepino margarita. it was really good. thankfully our food didn't take as long to come out. we tried the asada tacos and camarón tacos. both turned out really tasty. two things though, 1. the taco embellishments didn't match their menu description 2. we got 3 tacos with the order for $15 and $17. usually when i get 3 tacos it's a taco dinner that comes with rice and beans. $15 for just 3 tacos is a little much, in my opinion. both visits had latin music playing, but on each visit the music stopped randomly for less than 5 minutes then start again. overall, i would only return for their drink specials and happy hour.

Yelp
Expert presentation, pleasantly surprised with same quality as previous location on Ashland. Friendly, attentive service. Unique outdoor patio with people watching view of 18th Street. Full bar. Expansive menu. A truly worthy predecessor to previous PlZen restaurant. Need to exploit big tv in bar for sports and political events like debates. Great ambience!

Yelp
This was SO GREAT! $5 margs were fantastic. Service was fabulous, so nice and friendly. And the fresh chips and salsa?? Incredible. Great vibes for dancing on a Saturday night.
