"When Lars Brurein moved El Bistro from Popayán, Colombia, to Cartagena in 2002, he initially offered food from his native Berlin, but gradually shifted toward Caribbean flavors. The kitchen now prepares a mix of cuisines with influences from Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba, and Colombia. Tropical vegetables, game, and local spices join house-made charcuterie and mustard, along with whole loaves of German breads and European pastries from the panaderia. First time trying this place, at their new location in De Pere. Fast and friendly service. They have the best Italian margarita! They start you off with free chips and salsa. For apps we tried the birria eggrolls, which already filled us up before our main course. Soup or salad came with the pasta: we got the house salad with ranch dressing, and a beef potato soup, with the shrimp and lobster linguine, and chicken and shrimp carbonara. We also got breadsticks with the meal.

What a great experience from this new location! Highly recommend if you’re in the area to check it out, the Italian and Mexican food were both some of the best in the city and the hospitality was very enjoyable.

Nice quaint Mexican restaurant in Green Bay. The service and food were good. The ambiance was plain and simple. Disappointed that chips and salsa were not provided.

You should totally try this restaurant! The tacos were amazing, the portions were perfect, and the sauces were the best! The service was awesome too. They're moving soon, so make sure you find out where they're going.

This place is fantastic! Definitely the best pasta in the area! The Mexican side is absolutely delicious too! I’ve tried many different dishes and they all have been great, but the chicken and shrimp carbonara is my absolute favorite. Definitely go you won’t be disappointed. Great workers as well!

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is beautiful, and the food is truly amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it’s a small, family-owned business — you can really feel the care they put into everything. They also have a very original concept that you don’t often see in Wisconsin, which made the experience even more special. My fajitas were incredible, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

Cleverly hidden on Oneida Street. Would not have seen it if it wasn't for the large food trailer that was out front. They are moving 400 main Street in DePere. I will go there when the new location opens and get some inside pictures. The hangover torta is delicious but the two chimichangas and rice and beans were fantastic. Surprised to find a large Italian menu available.

El Bistro Taco visit was excellent. Speedy service even though most tables were full during dinner service around 6:30pm. Food was excellent. I had Mexican style chorizo tacos with chips and guacamole. Friendly waitstaff. Environment was very clean, including the bathrooms. Even have wood infant station in mens bathroom that is very sturdy, not the plastic ones that pull down from wall with straps.
