"A family-run restaurant that prides itself on its honest and professional service. The small bar acts almost as a private space, while the attractive, classic-contemporary dining room is embellished with the occasional rustic detail. The chef-owner, Moisés Martínez, who as a young man had ties to the meat industry and worked a lot with beef (hence the name of the restaurant, translation: The Ox), is more attentive these days to the raw ingredients from the garden and seasonal produce, with the star product being the Vega Baja del Segura artichokes, and every Sunday they offer a typical local stew with meatballs, the Cocido con pelotas de la Vega Baja!" - Michelin Inspector
The cut of the meat was really good. Good restaurant to go out and socialize with friends over some good food and wine.

Wow What a Steak! Not mich Choice on the menu but I understand why! Small menu great food! Absolutely loved it. Steak is cooked on the table in front of you. Waiters could try a bit harder to smile but of course it’s Spain. So nothing to complain about. Recommend to everyone. But be careful… they put the meat on the grill with the bone and so charge you for the bone + meat. We had around 1000 grams of steak but they charged us for 2 kilos. Therefore overcharged us but the food was good.

My husband and I love this place! So much in fact that we had them host our wedding lunch - and it was perfect! Very welcoming and cozy atmosphere, lovely staff and fantastic authentic Spanish food. We highly recommend "la carne", slices of buey meat you get to cook yourself on hot plates. And the cheese cake is so good as well!

This is something different from anything we've tried before.
Different flavours but Super tasty.
Try the local Lomo. They bring the meat almost raw but with an individual plate to cook it your self. Amazing meat. We also order some Setas but they taste fanny for me. Not bad.. but weird.
This is totally a local experience.
The only thing it's the price.

Great beef that may be ordered by the kg/ eg Half kilo, 250 grams ets. One cooks it by oneself, so it’s perfect. Very Spanish and not touristy place, it’s full of history and Madrileno tradition.

Yelp
What a quaint little place. It was recommended by a friend. It didn't let us down.
We were the first in the restaurant for an early lunch. Our server and other waitstaff were very cordial and respectful. They attended to our needs without so much as a hitch.
We started with a nice bottle of wine, some bread and the Leek and seafood pie. The flavors and creamy consistency were wonderful. We then proceeded to the Sirloin Steak El Buey Style. It comes sliced up ready to cook up. You are provided with a hot plate upon which to cook the steak to your liking. The steak was tender and flavorful. We finished up with a Warm Renata Apple Tart. Great meal.
The menu is fairly extensive. You'd have to come here several times to try everything. So... I guess we'll be back.
