Tried El Camino and it was honestly a great experience. The burger was really delicious, and the service was good and attentive. The pastrami was very tasty and definitely worth trying. The fries were average, but the onion rings were nice and crispy. Their homemade sauce was excellent and added a special touch. The atmosphere was good, though a bit loud, so maybe not ideal if you’re looking for a quiet place. Overall, an excellent restaurant that I would gladly visit again.

If you’re looking for bar restaurants that truly nail comfort food, the places that stand out are the ones serving messy, flavorful sloppy joes and perfectly cooked smash burgers. These bars don’t overcomplicate things — they focus on bold flavor, good drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Great new spot in old town. Good prices are really good! Less than $10 for a burger and fries. For starters we got hot wings and the onion rings. The wings were really good, spicy and saucy. Onion rings were good. For mains we got the double cheese smash burger with fries and the Gringo Tacos. The smash burger was so good. Amazing. The gringos tacos were good as well. Hard shells, plain non-spiced ground beef, sour cream, tomato’s and lettuce. If you’re a gringo these are right up your alley. We asked for house margaritas and they were very good as well. Also note that it’s bar service not table service. Very casual atmosphere, grab a menu at the door and seat yourself.

This place is a hidden gem among the countless overpriced restaurants in the area. If you want a simple, affordable and delicious meal, Come here! The burgers are amazing and loaded with toppings! They also have tacos and street style quesadillas on the menu. We had tacos, quesadillas, a double burger with fries and 2 drinks for under $50! Where else in Scottsdale can you get that! If you want a good place to get a cheap cold beer with a chill atmosphere, I recommend this place!

Chill clean spot. Cheap eats. Good burger. You’re better off with the double than the single. Onion rings as well are worth getting. Awesome bartender. Clean restroom. Worth checking out.

Google
Wish I had found this place months ago. I’m always looking for a reasonably priced place for lunch…which is hard to find in this area. However El Camino has by far the best prices for lunch in the area. Excellent burger for $12. Definitely a new favorite and extremely grateful for the great price, food and service. Will be back! If you’re vacationing here and looking for a cheap place for lunch or dinner, this is the place.

This place is an absolute gem for anyone looking to enjoy cold drinks and delicious bites. Delaney was incredible—mixing up fantastic cocktails and managing a nearly full house solo like a total pro. The service was top-notch, and the food? Absolutely amazing. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and don’t miss this spot. It’s a standout experience from start to finish!

Yelp
Went there last night. Easily my favorite establishment in old town. The burger was amazing and really cheap. Super simple, no frills spot with cold beers and a great vibe. The staff was super friendly and chill. This will be my go-to spot from now on

Yelp
First, the classic double burger was very good. And probably worth $9.45 on it's own. However, it comes with fries, which is awesome and an unbeatable value especially for the heart of Old Town. BUT the fries were COLD, which is a cardinal sin. Basically inedible. If either of the servers had asked me how things were I would have mentioned it. But alas, no one checked in, and even when I left the huge pile of fries on the tray she just asked if I wanted a box. I understand that shoestring fries go cold quicker and these would have been great if they were hot. But they were cold and therefore greasy too. Because they're shoestring, You've gotta change your cooking process so that each order of fries is made to order and timed to come out of the fryer just before the order leaves the window. Otherwise, cold fries. The ranch was also not good. Surely came from an industrial sized vat of cheap ranch. Wish they made their own. The Heinz glass ketchup bottles are nice though. Parking can be tricky especially on weekends. Cool space, nice TVs, nice wall of windows that open to the sidewalk. No patio which is a bummer. Only one stall bathroom for this large restaurant and it's directly in front of the kitchen door (yuck) and with one of those loud air-assisted flushing toilets (can hear it from 100% of the restaurant) which is annoying and an oversight to put it in that location and only have one. Asked for carmelized onions but didn't get them. Oh well, at least they took off the $.50 upcharge. The add-ons are very reasonable ($.50). Menu clarity could be improved. The "sandwich" sections says you can get fries or a green salad for the same price. Burger section just says fries. The Bacon and El Camino descriptions need to clarify how many patties are on each burger. The American Cobb salad needs a description. I hope this place makes it, corrects the issues above, and keeps their prices ridiculously low!

Yelp
Small menu but I love that about this bar. Casual, non-bougee, unpretentious laid back vibe, the kind of place I can kick back & invite all my friends to. I loved their hard shell tacos & smash burger w/ fries. Their prices is unheard of for Old Town Scottsdale. I love a place that you don't have to be dressed up since I was here to catch some football. Great service from bartenders, attentive & friendly. I hope this bar sticks around for a very long time.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab a quick to go order. Was able to easily place my order up at the bar. This spot just opened up in old town and has some great pricing that I've never seen anywhere else. Double smash burger with fries for under $10! Great smash burger that came with a ton of well seasoned fries. The fried chicken sandwich could have used a sauce but overall everything was delicious.

Yelp
Did a quick to go order (so will need to write a lengthier review in the future). Love the concept dive to bar setting, approachable menu and REASONABLE prices.

Yelp
Charming new spot in Old Town, located just off Scottsdale Rd, in the former Merkin Vineyard's location. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Purposely basic beer and liquor selection, and the menu is small but well executed. I tried the smashburger and fries -- both were tasty and a great value for the price. Plenty of TVs make it a great place to catch a game. Perfect for a quick beer and casual lunch. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Great service and they definitely hit the mark on this spot in a great area. The food was phenomenal. Nothing pretentious service was friendly and the drinks were cheap. All in all will definitely be back.

Yelp
Chill bar with food in/near Old Town Scottsdale. Hard to beat reasonably priced drinks and good $10 smash burgers and fries in this area. Nice soundtrack too.

Yelp
With the fantastic weather we wanted to explore a place in Old Town we haven't tried yet and found El Camino. It's been open for a month and is a great local spot to meet up with friends and grab a drink. It has a retro feel, the service was friendly and prompt. We also had the sloppy Joe and smash burger and both were great Sunday Funday lunches.

Yelp
Great vibes and the staff is really friendly and nice. The food and drinks are amazing.

Yelp
Limited menu but was really good. Service was excellent. Location was convenient with public parking nearby.
