El Carreter

Went for a birthday celebration and had the most amazing meal we’ve ever had. The team should be very proud of this menu each dish is a journey of flavours and beautifully balanced. Atmosphere is quiet, intimate and relaxed and the service is exceptional. Wish I could eat here everyday!

We were absolutely shocked that El Carreter doesn't hold a Michelin star—it truly sets a high bar for restaurants of this caliber. The food is exceptional, featuring typical and seasonal ingredients that are fresh and expertly prepared. Every dish was perfectly balanced, making our taste buds dance with pleasure. And the wine selection was outstanding! The staff was both delightful and professional, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Having dined at several high-standard restaurants, El Carreter has now topped my list. We’ll definitely be returning on our next visit to Dénia. I could recommend my favourites dishes but I just would say, that if you can go for the bigger menu and just enjoy, you won’t regret it!

We had an 8 course tasting menu which cost 90€. The effort that was put into those dishes definitely deserves higher price but of course we’re not complaining 😉 The service was superb and the wine selection was rather sophisticated as well. We really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant! One tiny small downside is that only one waitress speaks English. Non of the rest of the team or even chef does, so if that lady is off work, and you’re not Spanish speaker, you might not get the full experience of your visit. But I’d say, it is worth visiting anyway😊

Absolutely stunning Tasting  Menu! We chose the 90 Euro menu and it exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was very intermate, as there were curtains between the tables. It was very quiet, as there was only 1 other table occupied when we arrived and the service was super attentive. As soon as the 5 appetisers arrived we knew we were in for a treat. To follow, we had 4 incredible starters, 2 mains, 3 deserts, and then a spoon arrived for the petit fours and 5 more delicious pieces of food. We had wine by the glass, which was delicious and amazing value at 4.50 euro. It's probably the best tasting menu we've had and for the price, incredible. Highly recommend.

What a fabulous place and amazing food, worthy of stars. We will return soon for the larger menu. Very privare tables so you can concentrate on your experience. I would strongly recommend a visit. Incredible value too.

The food and entire dining experience were amazing, definately on a very high level. I wishes I had booked the bigger menu, because every course was simply amazing.

A really surprising place with exceptional food - we where really overjoyed with the quality and the taste of ALL dishes and were pampered by the excellent service. A great experience and we will certainly return here !!
