"Charming El Chullo remains one of the best Peruvian restaurants in town since opening in 2014. Here, owners Esperanza Luzcando and José Ramírez Sánchez dish out a range of well-executed classics. Look for seafood (ceviche and jalea), beef (lomo saltado and grilled beef hearts), tallarines (Peruvian-style spaghetti), causas (layered potato dishes), and the ubiquitous huancaína (creamy yellow pepper sauce) ladled over Peru’s favorite ingredient: potato. El Chullo’s newer, spiffier 7th Avenue location has a bigger menu, offering modern ceviches and appetizer platters that allow diners to try three dishes at once." - Mcconnell Quinn, Chris Malloy, Nikki Buchanan

Absolutely delicious. First time having Peruvian food and I’m in love. The food does get a little salty as I eat it more but the rice balance it out. My favorite was the pescado a lo macho - seafood was cooked to the perfect tenderness and the fish was delicious. I don’t know what the dessert is called, but the cookies are buttery and crumbly, and overall not insanely sweet. Would totally come back!!

Google
Amazing Peruvian food in the heart of Phoenix! We enjoyed Lomo Saltado, Arroz Chaufa, the Jalea de Pescado, and the fried plantains. Every dish had its own unique flavor profile and were all great. The service was attentive and the hostess was kind. The food came out quickly. Really enjoyed the close atmosphere and fun Peruvian-themed decorations.

Google
So at El Chullo. This was not only our first time here, it was our first time eating Peruvian food altogether. Boy must I say if you've never eaten Peruvian food this is the best place to start at because in my opinion this is the best!!!! Even if I didn't know that it was Peruvian food it was delicious 😋🤤. The only thing I can say is that you have to try it yourself. I had the Mariscos Saltado it had oysters, shrimps, scallops and octopus. Along with the rice, veggies with red onions and my grandson had the Pollo Saltado. I gave it a five star for all around fantastic but try it yourself. You be the judge!!!

Google
This was my first time trying Peruvian food, and El Chullo made it unforgettable! Every dish was bursting with flavors I'd never experienced before. The standout for me was the Arroz con Pollo—it instantly became my favorite. The chicken was tender, and the rice was rich with herbs and spices, blending perfectly. Every bite was packed with savory goodness and left me craving more. The variety of flavors was remarkable, and each dish had its own unique taste. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff made great recommendations, guiding us through the menu with ease. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore the vibrant and delicious world of Peruvian cuisine!

Google
Delish Peruvian food! The ceviche was super fresh, and the medium spice level was perfect. If you cannot handle spice, mild is the way to go. The Lomo Saltado had a delicious charcoal flavor. It was a little on the salty side, but the meat was extremely tender. Ordered the causa de Pollo as an appetizer. It was fresh and delicious, but the chicken layer was made with mayo, which one person in our party didn't enjoy. The restaurant atmosphere was nothing special and parking is very limited. The food is why you go!

Google
It is rare to find a Peruvian place that offers several vegetarian options and this is one of them.. tried the vegetarian cauza rellena and saltado de vegetales with tallarin, both were very tasty as well as the more traditional lomo saltado. Also, do not miss out on the pisco sour drinks, menu offers several refreshing options! Only con is that parking is very limited but Uber is always an option

Google
A small gem on 7th street in Phoenix! My wife, when she lived here, always loved the lomo saltado, and she still can’t find a better place in California that makes it better! I, on the other hand, enjoy the fish here. The fried fish with potatoes, yucca, and onions are perfect. The crispy battered fish are delicious and make sure you ask for more house made tartar sauce!!! 🤤🤤🤤. Service is great, price is right, and portions are very generous.

Google
Definitely some pros (the food) and cons (parking)! The food was absolutely amazing. Our favorite was the ceviche. Disappointed that the waitress said their mousse is essentially never available since the cooks refuse to make it. Perhaps they should take it off the menu. Parking was definitely difficult though, there are only a few spots in the front. There is a small parking lot in the back via the alley. It is a bit sketchy with things in the alley. We ended up just parking on a side street and walking over. Really nice atmosphere though, great music, definitely not for larger parties though as it is a tight space!

Yelp
Such an amazing find! Saw this place on Instagram and do glad we tried it. There is a second location by the same name work a more modern fusion menu but I highly recommend coming for this menu instead. The restaurant is quite small but a decent amount of tables and a small bar area. There are like three parking spots but the tattoo parlor was closed in the evening so those spots are open too. There was one server that night but she was so kind and attentive. We definitely ordered more than we could eat but we wanted to try everything. The heart skewers were soooo good. I love heart and it can often be hard and overcooked but they were perfectly cooked and seasoned here. My favorite appetizers. We got the ceviche which was pretty standard as well as a potato stuff dish that was interesting. It had a citrus kick at the end that was unexpected. I got the chicken and it was very home style comforting. The sauce was a little thicker than I would have liked but honestly it tasted so good I didn't care. It's like a thicker chicken broth sauce. The seafood soup was also amazing. Great flavors, lots of seafood, and had the perfect amount of spicy level to it. It definitely warms you up. The entree portions are extremely generous and we easily had so many left overs. There is also happy hour for their pisco sours. We tried four of them including the passion fruit and old fashioned that were all amazing. They use real egg foam which I love. Overall I am definitely going back when I need a good home cooked meal to warm the soul.

Yelp
El Chullo delivers authentic Peruvian flavors in a cozy setting. The Ceviche de Pescado was fresh and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of citrus and spice. The Arroz con Mariscos was hearty, flavorful, and packed with seafood. The experience left me wanting to explore more of the menu, and I will definitely return. Not many Peruvian spots, so must check out

Adriana L.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by this restaurant on our way back from an event. We were tired and extremely hungry so we were ready to eat. Our meals were perfect! I ordered the mushroom saltado since I'm vegetarian. I had never had it with mushroom before and I absolutely loved the flavor combination. We had to sit at the bar since the tables were full, but it was a good experience. The waitresses were kind and helpful when we needed something. If I'm ever back in the area craving Peruvian food, I'll definitely come back to this spot.

Barb H.

Yelp
I went with a party of 6. As a vegetarian I haven't eaten Peruvian for awhile because I hadn't realized there were so many options. The food was absolutely delicious, everyone loved everything they had. Do you know what a rarity that is these days with a party of 6 foodies? We visited with a Peruvian relative that ordered for the table & he agreed everything was as it should be. I couldn't agree more. I was very happy with everything i ordered which was the noodles with vegetables and the appetizer which had veggies in it and potato in a beautiful sauce. Sorry I forget what these dishes were called. We will definitely be returning with family and friends especially out of towners who like different types of cuisine. A lovely experience for sure.

Yelp
My friends and I enjoyed another fantastic meal at El Chullo a couple weeks ago after an event downtown. This small family-owned joint is not to be overlooked. The service is quick and friendly, and the food is always fresh and delicious. This visit we started with the Anticuchos. For entrees the group got Lomo Saltado, Arroz con Pollo, and Jalea Mixta. Everything was delicious - not a single complaint. The inside of this location isn't very big so depending on how busy it is you may have a wait, but it's definitely worth it. There is additional parking behind the restaurant if all the spots out front are occupied.

Erin O.

Yelp
Service at the restaurant was great. Our server was very helpful in answering questions about dishes. The lomo saltado was good, but too heavily salted for my liking. The causa de pollo was very good. The corn that you get at the table was also great. The restaurant is small, so it could certainly fill up quick on a busy night.

Thuy Dan T.

Yelp
El Chullo is a humble spot in Phoenix that packs a lot of flavor! Ceviche - a good portion and I enjoyed how thin the onions were and the crunch of the peruvian corn. The dish tastes fresh, and citrusy. Causa with crab - crab potato salad so if you enjoy dishes with a soft texture, this is for you. I think I was expecting more of a punch of flavor with the vibrant color. Anticuchos - very tender skewers and I liked the blistered tomato sauce! Pisco mango and Arribaria (Peruvian eggnog) - both very dense drinks but they were smooth!

Jonna L.

Yelp
This Peruvian food was very good! I got the ceviche de pescado, which was super flavorful! It's raw fish and red onions, sweet potatoes, corn, with an acidic, creamy sauce. It is served cold, so don't be thrown off by that! The only thing is I wish it came with a noodle or rice or something. The service was good. The restaurant is pretty small and there aren't many parking spaces. I would come back!

Eric M.

Yelp
I love small family businesses and this restaurant is just that. Small interior but very friendly and efficient staff. They seat you immediately and bring out your food quickly after you order. I ordered the Causa de Camaron, a Lomo Saltado and a jugo de piña (pineapple drink). The Lomo Saltado was authentic and delicious. It comes with beef tenderloin strips, fries and white rice sauted with onions, tomatoes and cilantro. The flavor was not overpowering and the seasoning was on point. The portion was huge and it went well with the jugo de piña. The causa de Camaron came with mashed potato, avocado and shrimp. Definitely recommend if you're around the area. Come support !

Barb G.

Yelp
A bit late of a review...we came back in April and had the same great experience as before. Service is quick, efficient and friendly. Marco was our person and he was great! This time around we had the Pollo Saltado and the Ceviche Clasico. We absolutely love the ceviche here. Theirs's isn't the classic shrimp that Mexican ceviche tends to be made with. They use a white fish that is swimming the creamiest and most yummy, limey flavored sauce. It comes with sweet potatoes and corn, some crispy and some boiled. The Pollo dish was good and because I had to experiment, I ordered it with spaghetti just to see how it be...actually loved it! I included a photo with f the fried fish because we always amazed at how much they give you! We will be back!!!

sandy b.

Yelp
Small cute place. I enjoyed the artwork, see pics. Service was ok. We enjoyed our meals. I liked my fish stew. The cookies alfahore were too small I. Size to savor the flavor.

Julie R.

Yelp
This place doesn't look like much from the outside but don't judge a book by its cover! In the hunt for Peruvian food? Here's your spot This is the original location which has been a family favorite for many years. This is food you can't get anywhere else truthfully. The owners are from Peru so you know it's 100% authentic I'm so excited they opened up a new location and can't wait to check that spot out! The service is delightful. Kindest people you'll meet. I love the chicharron and ceviche mixto. My favorite drink there is the Maracuya Sour. You won't be able to get that in many places so I highly recommend that A fun spot to check out if you want to try something new

Sindy E.

Yelp
The restaurant is small but they also have space for bar seating. The parking lot is not good; there are about 5 spots, and they are hard to get to and more difficult to get out of because you have to reverse into the busy street. The food is delicious, especially the Shrimp Causa. I got the Beef Seco a la Nortena, and that is also really good. The purple drink "chicha morada" is too sweet for me. Good drink menu. The service was fast for lunchtime, and customer service was good. Overall, a great place to try new dishes. I will come back again for more of that Causa.

Yelp
"The 7s" -- 7th Ave and 7th St are each blessed with a neighborhood gem of a Peruvian restaurant. For the unfamiliar, Peruvian food can be as simple or as complicated as you prefer. The secret is the seasoning. I'm by no means an expert on the cuisine of Peru, but it's not known to be spicy hot but, rather, flavored with a pleasant array of herbs and spices. With a bar and about a dozen tables, the 7th Street location is cozy. My companion had the Pollo Saltado, a pleasant sauté of onions, herbs and tomato with fries and rice. I chose the Arroz con Pollo and it was delightful. The surprise star was the side of Papa a la Huancaina. This is also available as an appetizer, which is highly recommended. It consists of potatoes covered with a yummy sauce that I can't fully describe except to say 'your tastebuds NEED to try it." Service was excellent from a knowledgeable team who knew how to attend to guests and make them feel at home.

Marc L.

Yelp
I'm sorry but this place has almost no idea of what Peruvian food is. I came From California, where restaurants like Inca Mama's and Inca grill mesmerize diners with authentic, tasty, Peruvian dishes. They serve fresh baguettes with a sultry, green aji sauce squeezed out of a bottle, and all the traditional dishes to make your mouth water. But this place sure ain't that. I was perplexed because of all the raving reviews. Either people in Arizona don't know Peruvian food very well (likely), or this was a really bad night. Either way, I will rate El Chullo as 3 stars (average) and nothing more. I'd go lower, but I concede that they could have been having a bad night. We ordered the aji de gallina, and it was dry and tasteless. The rice was particularly bad. We had the saltado and it was really just average at best. There was nothing that made me want to come back. Again, I'll give them another shot and chalk it off to being busy, but as Peruvian restaurants go, if you want to be blown away, go to Inca Fusion in Goodyear. Now that's amazing. But I'd say very average for this place.

Amanda H.

Yelp
I cannot recommend El Chullo highly enough. The availability of Peruvian cuisine in the Phoenix metro area is greatly lacking and I was elated when I discovered this. The restaurant is what you could describe as a hole in the wall, which is my absolute favorite. It's a little hard to find and parking is very limited. I didn't make a reservation and was so lucky to grab a spot at the bar. Not even 5 minutes after coming in, the place was packed with people waiting for tables. I started off with their Papa a la huancaína and mmm it was so tasty! The cheese sauce was so creamy, warm, and full of flavor. My favorite dish is pollo saltado and what I received was exceptional. I wonder if next time I could ask for it to be extra juicy because the sauce was incredible. I was almost done with my meal before I remembered to ask for the aji verde sauce and oh my, I want to know how they made it because it's the best I've ever had. I got the Tallarin Saltado con lomo to go, with the intention to eat the following day and I'm not even ashamed to say I ate it that same night, it was too good. I can't remember what the name of the cookies they have are but DO NOT miss them. The ones I've had in the past were very small but these were huge, you could easily split one.

Susan K.

Yelp
Every time I come here I swear the amount of food you get is looking ridiculous smaller. I decided to try something different on the menu so I got the pollo saltado and my BF got the tallarines saltado con lomo. Chicken was so dry and lacked a lot of sauce. My BF's dish looked like someone ate out of it, very sad portion. Flavor was there but if I'm paying about $20 a dish, I want it perfect in every way. We also get a ceviche dish and the plate was eating the food up, again looked liked someone ate out of it. Not to mention that I found a spongy object in the mussel. I'm now traumatized and will not eat their mussels here. Probably won't be back for a long time. Prices have gone up way too much for the portion of food you get here and the inconsistency quality of food.

Jay K.

Yelp
Extremely hidden gem in the Valley. Service was extremely friendly, the head chef even came out and offered samples of experimental menu items for myself to try. The Lomo Saltado is by far the best I've had in the US...perfect amount of sauce, fries, meat ratio and cooked absolutely perfectly. Will be back again !! 17/10 recommend!

Shaun K.

Yelp
Ok - Ambiance may have a little to be desired, but all in all service was decent and the food was really good! Anticuchos and chicha morrada hit the spot and the aji de gallina savory and filling! Was just visiting Phoenix - if i was staying longer or if I return, would definitely come back!

Nick C.

Yelp
I wish I would have tried El Chullo sooner. It was delicious. The service was friendly and fast. It was also pretty busy for a random weeknight but we were luckily able to find a table easily. The yucca fritas were ok with a pretty good tangy sauce, but we really liked the papa rellena even more. I loved my entree. I got the pescado a lo macho and it wonderfully delicious with just a little bit of kick. I also had to grab an Inca Kola to have with the meal. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Desiree D.

Yelp
We were told to try El Chullo by one of our friends who raved about this place and it didn't disappoint. Cute little hole in the wall with only a couple of tables inside. Our server was great and the food came out quickly. The papa rellena was crispy and delicious. The yucca fries could've used a little more salt but it had a good sauce. The lomo saltado was so good. The rice was flavorful and the beef was nice and tender. I will definitely be back next time I need a Peruvian food fix.

Priscilla A.

Yelp
If you are not Peruvian you will not get the same treatment. We were not given our drinks and when we did get them they said their cups were dirty.

Juan D.

Yelp
Sobres de drinks pisco tradicional and exclusive área and Services; Great The Ambience es fabuloso. Real Family ambience and You Can Still Have a drink To and Enjoy The evening.

David S.

Yelp
Family and I came looking for some ceviche. Really dissapointed. They use like the cheapest fish in existence. Usually it may be cod or tilapia. But this fish almost artificial with a strange texture and transperant look to it. It had absolutely no flavor. My wife had the same reaction. My daughter to Gome chicken nuggets. But it seems half of it was fried chicken skin. The other half had barely any meat to it.

Robert H.

Yelp
At a friend's prompting we tried this place and as I have never had Peruvian food I was quite interested. I was able to sample quite a few dishes as we had a party of six people. The mixed ceviche was really tasty and had nice chunks of fish and plenty of shrimp and calamari. I also enjoyed a mixed seafood plate that was a combination of fried fish and other delightful bites. The beef heart appetizer was tender and also very good. There was not one thing I ordered that was not really good and that I would not order again. It is a very small place in a Tony strip mall if you can call it that. It was not crowded when we went but I could imagine parking can be tough at peak times. The service was very friendly and our server was very helpful in choosing the right selections.

Jill K.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! Since we moved to Arizona eight years ago, we've been looking for a good Peruvian restaurant. I thought the Phoenix area would have a lot more to choose from. But everyone we went to was not good. Until we found this place. The food was even better than our favorite place in California. It was the first time our kids heavy improving food and they licked their plates clean. We will definitely be back. We love to get the Pollo Soltado & Lomo Soltado!! I can't wait to come back. It's worth the 35 miles to drive I should've taken pictures of the food before but everybody ate it so quickly I only have pictures of empty plates.

Teri C.

Yelp
El Chullo is a small restaurant with tight seating. Stopped by last month for a light bite before our big dinner plans. We shared two dishes - the Anticuchos and the Ceviche de Pescado. The anticuchos was good, but I've had better. Maybe a little too well done for my liking. Their ceviche de pescado was really good, however. I've had a decent amount of Peruvian ceviche and their version is very bright with great acid. I would definitely go back again for another round of their ceviche. Can't really say much else since it was just a simple meal and quick.

Maria L.

Yelp
I love Peruvian food! In my opinion one of the most delicious cuisines and flavors in the world. I am so glad that now Arizonans can taste the flavorful dishes from such a beautiful country. El Chullo is a small restaurant in Phoenix but the service is spectacular. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us several times during our meal. We ordered Lomo Saltado and everything in this dish was delicious. The tenderness of the meat, the perfect combination of the soft white rice and fries are heavenly. Please get this if you ever visit, you won't be disappointed. Also their traditional drinks and cocktails are delicious! The place gets a bit busy during lunch time but believe me the wait time is worth it.

scot f.

Yelp
Top notch. Had the ceviche, me encanta las leche de tigre. Flavorful, perfect portion, service was quick. Very authentic.

Amanda J.

Yelp
Visited Saturday evening for dinner with friends and family - my first time having Peruvian food and I am a big fan!!! Me and my boyfriend split a Lomo Salato but I ate most of it because it was so damn good! We also had some Yucca Fritas to share and they were like thick French fries and the sauce was delicious! Great service our waitress took great care of our crazy group. Can't wait to go back!!

Mely N.

Yelp
Restaurant was very nice, beautiful decor. Staff was friendly and the owner was checking on people, excellent customer service. Food and drinks were really good as well. Definitely recommend this place.

Andrea H.

Yelp
OMG! Peruvian food...What a fantastic place. Located in a small strip of stores, this family-owned gem of a spot is as authentic as you can get. Very casual, the menu has a lot to offer. We had the cerviche pescado with a delicious Leche de Tigre sauce (lime sauce). Tons of fish, onions, potatoes and taste! Line ip of people atc7:00 on a Sunday night. Priced right - don't miss it.

Stephanie F.

Yelp
Still good food and the service was good. We got right in a little after 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon. There were a few tables that were full, but by the time we left all the tables and some seats at the bar were filled. It's tiny, and there's limited parking in front but it's unique and good food. Meals are $20+ but good portions.

Alexis B.

Yelp
After having driven passed this place so many times the past two years I finally popped in the other night and Oh My Gosh I'm mad I didn't stop by sooner. This place is absolutely amazing. Everything I had was incredible. I started with the papa rellena which was perfectly fried and seasoned. For the main I had the shrimp ceviche. The shrimp was very fresh; it was just the right amount of spice and sour. To top it off the marcuya (passionfruit) piso they had might be my new favorite cocktail. I highly recommend this authentic, and incredibly delicious restaurant. It's a small place that doesn't take reservations so get their early or be prepared to wait for a table to open up.

Natasha R.

Yelp
Came here not knowing what to expect. I was greeted promptly when I walked in and the place had a very warm vibe and was clean. The ceviche they have is so delicious, I am still salivating over it weeks after my visit. Will definitely come again.

Ben H.

Yelp
I'll preface my review by stating that if I ordered and ate the ceviche exclusively, my review undoubtedly be 5 stars. But I didn't, my testosterone kicked in and I ordered the Tallarinas verdes- a steak, pasta, and potato dish. The pasta was delicious , but the meal was very rich, creamy, and highly caloric. The highlight of the meal was the ceviche. Disclaimer- I only had 3 bites, but that was 2 more than I needed to instantly know I made a mistake ordering the Tallarinas verdes. The ceviche entree came with 2 different types of corn, neither which are indigenous to the US. Lots of menu items looked intriguing, but I am itching to come back for the ceviche.

Roger T.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner on a late tuesday afternoon. Parking stalls out front are very narrow and limited. I think there is parking behind the building for I noticed people coming in through the back as I was eating. Items I ordered were the Chicharron de Calamar(calamari), Lomo Saltado, and Platano Frito(fried plantain). The Calamari($15) is your basic squid battered and deep fried. This included the tentacles. Now I love calamari but I think they put a bit more salt mixed in to the batter than they should have. Otherwise I would have finished the whole thing. The Lomo Saltado($22) is my usual main entree whenever I go to any Peruvian joint. You have your beef tenderloin strips sauteed with red onions, tomatoes, and cilantro. Served with white rice and french fries. The description alone will make you drool. This particular dish I feel had way more french fries than im used to. I also think it could have come with more meat. All the taste and flavor was there. It's just that the fries to meat ratio was skewed. The Platano Frita or Fried Plantain($8) is just your basic plantain sliced and pan fried to almost a burnt crispy texture. I love this because the mixture of the burnt edges pairs well with the soft and semi sweet taste when you take that first bite. If you don't like a little bit of sweetness then I recommend you get the Tostones which is a green plantain. As for the service you only had the one server which is understandable because the place is not all that big. She was doing a good job when more people started showing up for the dinner rush. Overall my experience was decent. It's been awhile since I have had Peruvian food and I remember ordering the Lomo Saltado was usually around 12 to 15 dollars compared to the 22 they charge here. I know prices have gone up across the board but I feel you don't get enough for the price you pay for. The next Peruvian place I go to I will definitely reflect on this review and see if the prices are consistent. Yelp 2023 Review #2 895 overall

Yelp
Excellent and quick service. Genuine and authentic Peruvian food made with high-quality ingredients. The ambiance is very cozy and familiar. I totally recommend it if you're close to the Phoenix downtown area. PS: The Lomo Saltado is fantastic!!

Angel E.

Yelp
Growing up in a household in Chicago where my mother cooked Peruvian cuisine often, it's very difficult to find a place that captures the flavors of home so well. El Chullo does exactly, and more. Having visited family in Peru and enjoying all the flavors the country has to offer, I can honestly say no one does it better than El Chullo. Their anticuchos (grilled beef heart) always deliver, and getting to enjoy my favorite dishes (arroz con mariscos and lomo saltado) make me wonder if asking my mom to freeze some left overs to take back to the valley is worth it. I highly recommend anyone who is curious to learn more about the cuisine or even thoughts who greatly appreciate it, to visit el Chullo. Not only does their food consistently taste amazing, but their service is always amazing despite how busy the restaurant can get.

Melissa S.

Yelp
The most delicious seafood ceviche I have ever had! Friendly and prompt service . I highly recommend.

Honest Review S.

Yelp
The food was so damn good here. Got the classic ceviche and the lomo saltado. So much flavor in every bite!! Service was great, food was great, ambiance was great. I wish there was on of these by my house!! Will for sure return when back in the area.

Michelle R.

Yelp
They put the SALT in SALTado. Ugh. Saltado at the other location was very good, so I'm not sure what happened here. Drinks are nice and strong, though. Food specials were good also. 7th street location wins by a longshot, all in all. We've been here twice at 7th ave: 1st time good, second time not so much.

Sein G.

Yelp
This place is great for the most part. I have tried their food many times over the years. Food has always been consistent except for seafood paella ( ARROZ CON MARISCOS) over the past year tasted different and found out they changed seafood supplier. I haven't tried again in a few months.. otherwise all other dishes are always consistent and tasty. I mostly order takeouts as dine in can take a long time with wait as their seating is quite limited :) ceviche de pescado is so yummy.. it's citrusy and fresh. For appetizer, recommend ANTICUCHOS (grilled heart). ARROZ CON POLLO is my go to which is amazing. I prefer mine with dark meat! The flavor is great and meat is suuuuper tender

Jonny S.

Yelp
Everything is so delicious from the ceviche to the mains to the drinks And the servers are so super nice Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
I ordered the fish ceviche and it was perfect. I got the standard medium spice and it was the perfect balance of salt, acid, and heat. The accompaniments are also worth mentioning, especially the potatoes which bring a subtle sweetness. The corn was super soft and tender with an amazing texture, and the canchita, Peruvian popcorn, brought a crunchy nutty flavor. I couldn't think of a more refreshing lunch, it was filling and satisfying but not heavy at all. This is a 5-star dish all the way and I look forward to trying more things on their menu.

Yelp
Ok so I first want to address a few of the bad reviews that are on here. One of them I saw some guy complain about the ceviche being clear?! Hey bud, its called ceviche because it's not cooked! Therefore its technically raw and its also in a sauce. The fish is supposed to be blander so the sauce comes through, clearly you have never been to Peru. We ordered the ceviche mixto and it was delish. The octopus was so tender and not chewy at all! Next is the "non tender" beef hearts. We had them and they were delicious, so tender and juicy. They recommend a medium cook, well would be too much and supposedly people complain about medium rare. I guess we have more Karens than I thought. I also ordered the aji de gallina which was the lunch special. It was awesome, so much flavor. My wife ordered the loma soltado and the meat was a bit tough, which is the knock from 5 to 4 star. Service was also really good. 100% recommend and would try again!

Yelp
Not sure if it was any authentic but it sure tasted delicious! Service and ambience were as expected.

Yelp
Had a great meal and what I ordered tasted very authentic. Service was good and I like that you can pay right at the table. Parking is scarce, but there are only 3 or 4 large tables and 3 or 4 small tables, so they don't really need a large lot.

Yelp
Best Peruvian place in the entire state of ARIZONA! I am Peruvian myself and I am extremely picky about reviewing Peruvian restaurants. Not only are they friendly; their food is AMAZING! The owners are Peruvian themselves so it's always nice to be represented by our own people. They have a new restaurant location and it's beautiful!!! I feel like I am back at home every single time I eat here. Que Orgullo Peruano!!
