El Churro

Having been to Oaxaca and had amazing church's there, these were just a good.. Well executed on tbe hot and crispy aspect.. Great amount of cinnamon sugar mix.. Had the dolce de leche dipping sauce and wish it was served warm not cold so it coats the churro better but will not knock off stars for that.. The Oaxaca dark chocolate drink was just like Mexico and so enjoyable. Went on a very very cold NY evening, Feb 9 2026 and being cold outside this hit the spot. Wife and I got 3 pieces and it was perfect amount Churros, sauce, 2 chocolate drinks $28 plus tip... Will return 💯💯

I came in to the location and it's centrally placed. Love the ambiance of the store with clean space and minimalist design. Asking the employees on the flavors it's like pulling teeth. Super rude. In addition when you don't leave a tip, they automatically get offended. If anything, the man making the churros deserve the tip than the useless CASHIER. I ordered 10 churros and 3 dippers and the clown of a cashier after I paid, just dumped all the churros on the counter with no big bag. Cashier was a white male with a nasty attitude. If you want a better paying job, maybe you should get out of a trending churros spot so we don't have to foot your salary. The other cashier came in and asked if I wanted a bag. After spending $40 for somd overpriced churros and a nasty attitude I would never return. Churros are expensive and the dark chocolate dipping sauce was light not think like the typical dark chocolate that you experience in Spain. Just overrated with bratty cashiers- I think his name is Phil because all of a sudden, his friends are commenting on how great Phil is. I'd definitely fire him and get someone who's not offended by not getting a tip and get an authentic person, who's excited to serve Churros and explaining the flavors.

The churros are delicious wholesome, non greasy, just perfect, the hot chocolate is rich and thick, very yummy! I know a bit about churros and chocolate, since I grew up in Madrid and my wife is from Buenos Aires, places well known for both delicacies! Customer service is outstanding, Shareem (maybe I got his name wrong?) sorry, the “cute guy with freckles” was very sweet, great attitude and personality! Thank you!

El Churro I liked! Instead of getting the churros, that everyone mostly gets, I got the soft served pistachio with churro crumbs on top. It was really creamy, smooth, and delicious! The portion size was also huge which I liked. However, it can get messy and crumbly with all the crumbs on top. The servers/cashiers were very friendly and jovial. They were dancing and clapping around. They were very hipsterish for sure. There’s a modern ambience to the store with completely see through windows, where you can see clearly what’s going on outside, and where people can also see inside into the store. It kind of felt like being on display, like a window store front. I kind of didn’t like people being able to see through and see me eating. It wasn’t really crowded when I went, and it was mostly tourists visiting. The store is also right next to the train station. One suggestion I would have is for there to be more soft serve flavor options available, since the only flavor offered was pistachio. There should be more flavors available like how there were many flavors available for the churros. It would be absolutely amazing if they had like a salted caramel flavor for the soft serve, which would really compliment the churro crumbs on top. Price: $8.17💸 Rating: 8/10📝

I've been longing for v. churros for a long time, but I did not want to make them myself, lol. This place has some amazing churros. I don't know if there are more churro spots in Manhattan, but this has to be one of the best churros in Manhattan. The outside is perfectly crunchy while the inside is chewy. We didn't get any additions or sauces cause we wanted to try it in its base form...it did not disappoint. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Manhattan.

Crispy on the outside and chewy inside, these churros are perfectly golden and lightly dusted with sugar. The rich, velvety dark chocolate dipping sauce made each bite irresistibly satisfying.

We were near by and we fancy churros. We satisfied our cravings. The churros were really good. The Latte was OK. Many options of beverages. Coffee and chocolate are the main options you will find.

For a churro place, I thought the churros were decent but had better elsewhere at Mexican restaurants. The dark chocolate sauce is too watery. I actually liked the churro crumble soft serve more than the churros. The smores churros were way too sweet but I'm not a fan of marshmallows.

My visit started with two immediate red flags. The single cash register created a painfully slow line. And to make communication harder, blaring techno music forced everyone to shout their orders multiple times just to be heard. Once we finally got our churros, we discovered the milk chocolate dip was missing entirely. While the staff member who brought it to us was very pleasant, that goodwill vanished once we tried the dip itself--it was inexplicably thin, watery, and had a sour, off-putting taste. I had really wanted to like this new spot, but the experience was a letdown on every level. The quality simply isn't there, especially for the high prices. I can't recommend it.

Came here to get coffee since it's next to Russ&Daughters. There was a bit of a wait, but the service was friendly. I'd come back for the coffee alone but I'll definitely have to try the churros next time. They have several sauce/dip options. Only a few seats available

They make tasty churros. The sauces they have available are yummy. Especially the caramel sauce. The hot chocolate is amazing good. Customer is five stars and I bought one of the homemade soda from them, can't remember the name but it was good. If I'm in this area I would buy again because it's my second visit here. You can also dine in and hang out if you want to to enjoy your sweet on the spot. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

We stopped by to grab churros after dinner and what a fun treat! They were freshly prepared and you could tell because they came out soft hot and absolutely delicious. We picked 2 different dipping sauces.The dulce de leche and the white chocolate matcha. Skip the matcha. The only complaint I would really have here is that I wish they sold the dipping sauces in smaller container options because I definitely did not need $4 worth of dip, all I need is a condiment sized container for $1 and I would have been good and it's not even about the money, I hate food waste and we had SO much left over. Friendly service and lots of space

Came in for a quick snack. Menu has drinks, churros and dips. I went for the regular churros, and it was very quickly prepared. Opted to sit down for awhile, and there was seating in the back. There are about 3-4 tables in the back. The seating area is very clean. Churros came out hot and tasted good. Wish that I would have ordered a chocolate dip. Appreciate the hot, fresh churro. Recommend for a quick snack if you are in the neighborhood.

The churros were amazing!!! Ordered churros and water. Stopped here with my kids while husband was waiting in line for Katz, and they have a small indoor seating area with floor to ceiling windows making it perfect to people watch. When I'm in the area again, I would love to return here.

I mean, points for originality! Never have I ever had a vegan gluten-free, flaming, hot ranch churro. Coffee is pretty reasonably priced given how much coffee costs everywhere else. Four dollars for Americano was not bad and it's quite tasty. Loved the flavor of the churros maybe could've even gone more flaming hot but they were still super tasty. Also, if you happen to be looking at this right now, they're open on Thanksgiving and they were open at around 10 AM when I stopped by. Breakfast of champions.

Looking for a quick snack when you're roaming the city? This spot is definitely a place that you should try out! The service was extremely quick and the churros are packaged to go but there is a small dine in area that you can eat at after. My sister and I got the 3 piece churros and an ube dip to try and wow, these churros were super cute, very crunchy and were the perfect amount of sweetness. The ube dip paired nicely with the sweet churros because it wasn't too sweet its self. Overall this snack doesn't feel too heavy, is cute and definitely delicious!

During a late night with no place to go, we decided to finally give this place a try - actually had quite a few people in here, and it wasn't sooooo bad. Although, if you know a good churro and grew up with good churros I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to come here, but i'll give them points for trying to make this interesting by offering a variety of dips to go with the churros. I have to say the churros weren't that warm or soft, but the dips were interesting and worth a try - of course try a chocolate, and they had a few specialty flavors that were interesting as well. Do I see myself returning? Not necessarily, especially given how much the churros cost (subway churro ladies here I come) but good place to catch up with friends with nowhere to be if everywhere else is closed

It was late and I was looking for a dessert. El Churro good spot for a quick dessert. Their churros are freshly made, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside with a perfect balance of texture and sweetness. The soft serve ice cream complements the churros wonderfully, making for a satisfying treat. It's an ideal place to stop by when you're craving something sweet. There is some seating available, and the service is good.

Having a corner storefront definitely gives this shop the visibility it needs to attract onlooker's attention, especially with its white interiors. The churros are sold at a premium. 3 churros for $8 or 5 churros for $10. And then each dipping sauce is $3.50. Easily spent over $20 if you get three different dipping sauce and 3 churros. They're for sure a great snack or a stop for dessert. The staff members are also super friendly.

I loved that El Churro was open late and was right around the corner from our hotel. We ordered 5 churros with the dark chocolate and ube dips and the Valentine latte. Everything was so good! The churros were fresh, chewy in the inside and perfect crunch on the outside.

I was walking around the east village with my husband on Valentine's day and we came across this churro spot. We were drawn in by the sleek aesthetic and cute churro puns outside on the window and well, warm churros sounded so good on a freezing winter day. Staff was nice and welcoming. They have a few tables for seating and paper towels for when your hands get messy from the churros. We got churros to share and since it was Valentine's day the churros were heart shaped which was so cute. We got hot milk chocolate for the dipping sauce which was in a small cup. The churros looked good, but they were okay, the inside was a bit doughy or undercooked and though the outside looked it had a lot of sugar, it wasn't really sweet. The chocolate dipping sauce was thin and lacked in flavor, but it actually tasted better to sip rather than a dipping sauce. Would have preferred the chocolate sauce to be a bit thicker to have a better coating on the churro. This churro spot also has many other things on the menu such as ice cream, and coffee drinks. I would probably want to try one of their drinks or other items on the menu.

Honestly was not expecting to like this place so much. This was the first time I've ever had churros so my expectations weren't that high, but these churros definitely exceeded them! My boyfriend described them as being the best churros he's ever had, so that's definitely a good sign. We got the 3 churros with dulce de leche sauce. I thought they were pretty pricey, but at least the churros were made fresh. I thought the dulce de leche sauce would be warm and liquidy, but it was extremely cold and thick. Together, they were still pretty amazing. If I was ever in the area and craving churros, I wouldn't mind stopping by. They also have ice cream and a large assortment of dips to choose from. Staff was so kind, too! Place is extremely bright inside and has a lot of seating in the back.

This place has always been fascinating to me when I've passed it. It's a relatively large storefront that sells mostly churros (hence the name) and a limited drink menu. As others have mentioned below, it seems that the sales model doesn't quite fit the size of the storefront. Needless to say, my friend and I were passing through storefront one evening and decided to give it a go. There was a DJ in-house this particular evening who was spinning some early 2000 - 2010s which is a fantastic way to draw a crowd. My friend and I decided to get churros to share with the dunkaroo dip. Service was prompt and the staff was kind. As for the churros, I'm not sure they were for me personally. They didn't have much flavor on their own but they tasted really good with the dunkaroo dip. It actually tasted pretty nostalgic! Would I go out of my way to come here again? Most likely not. But a decent stop during a late night out.

These churros were pretty good, not the best I've had, but they're also slightly more substantial and not quite as thin as other spots, very crunchy. I'd consider it if I was around it again. The churro spot in hudson yards is better though.

I've been wanting churros for awhile so I'm so glad I accidentally came across this spot after a concert nearby. It was a rainy day so I tried to get a seat but all the table were occupied since there was hardly a seating area. Thank god for my raincoat because I ended up eating my churros with caramel sauce on my walk to the train station. I did also order their Oaxaca dark hot chocolate, which kept me warm. The churros definitely fulfilled my craving and I know want to learn how to make their dark hot chocolate.

I was extremely happy when I got the chance to visit El Churro! I have been following them online for about a year so this was an awesome experience! I got an iced coffee and churros with dulce de leche dipping. It was about $20 which sounds really pricey but the churros were longer than most and about 4 come in a pack and the coffee was about 16oz so it was definitely worth it. The establishment was aesthetically pleasing and the dessert was delicious!! Can't wait to go back!!

I end up finding a lot of good places randomly and this is one of them. First of all, it wasn't hard to notice with a unique storefront - narrow, long, and bright. I'm honestly not the biggest fan of churros, but this place surprised me because they upgraded the churro experience with different toppings and even ice cream. My friends and I got a regular churro and a churro with torched marshmallow with dark chocolate. The cashier suggested getting the dark chocolate on the side since we were getting the regular churro stick. Good idea cuz we were able to control how much chocolate we wanted. I wish the dark chocolate was thicker, but it was still good. You can even watch them make the churro. It comes out in really big circles and then they cut them into different sizes. If you are a fan of churros, this is definitely the place for you.

After lunch we went to El Churro for dessert because it was close by. We ordered the churro with ice-cream ($14), which came with 3 heart shaped churros and our choice of ice-cream. I chose the pistachio churro crumble. The churro was freshly made and coated in thick sugar. I had to brush some of the sugar off, but it was good -- warm, with a crisp exterior and chewy interior. The ice-cream did not taste like pistachio at all, but I still enjoyed the combination. There are 4 tables in the back for seating.

Always the most eclectic crew. And the flavors hit everytime. The marshmallow is made with egg whites not gelatin. And a mango matcha for the win

I LOVE CHURROS and was SO HAPPY to find a place with gluten free ones that are delicious!!! We had awesome churros with delicious dulce de leche dipping sauce, quick service, and the location was great and had plenty of room. Definitely stop by here for a tasty treat!

El Churro offers a wonderfully inviting atmosphere that makes for an enjoyable dining experience. While the person at the register wasn't particularly friendly, Andre, who was nearby, more than made up for it with his warmth and enthusiasm. We ordered the s'more churro, which was a visual treat as well as a delight for the taste buds. Andre prepared it with care, toasting the marshmallows directly onto the churro and finishing it off with a perfect drizzle. The combination was as delicious as it was beautifully presented.

Wish I had pics to share but hubby and I saw Churros and thought.. "wow! Whole storefront for churros! We have to try." Glad we did because service was great! I love love love their dip! We got the matcha flavour which has the consistency closer to a custard than anything. Extremely creamy and really good. Churros are nice and crisps but not over covered with Churros. Honestly it's a great place to end your night or date.

Great Churros! Had an order of five plus the Dark Chocolate and Honey Lavender White Chocolate sauces. The Churros were freshly prepared and delicious. Great place for a snack or dessert!

3.5/5 The concept is fab- hot crispy churros & bunch of dips. Churros are BIG. I'd say for 2 people, 3 churros is good enough. Here's where I deduct points though - while churros are crispy & fresh, they are dusted with way too much sugar so they end up tingling your teeth. Dips- I tried the dark hot chocolate & cool matcha white chocolate. Both were interesting in theory but tasted kinda alright. $8 for 3 churros and $3.5 per dip is bit overpriced so only try this place if you are a churro lover.

Honestly I didn't like the ice cream at all. I got the pistachio flavor and it just did not taste good. I normally love pistachio ice cream but theirs just tasted weird. The stuff they put on it also didn't help. But the churros itself was really good. Thats why im giving it a 3 stars.

Came here after eating at little Frankie's across the street . I love the churros here and vanilla ice cream ! Louis & Jacob are the best ! They really helped us figure out what type of ice cream we wanted. They let us try a sample and it made it really easy to decide.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon while in the area. Service was friendly and quick. Got 5 churros, 2 dips, a matcha latte and an ube drink. The matcha was not sweetened but it paired well with the churros while the ube drink on the other hand was overly sweet. Sorry I didn't snap a pic of our drinks. The churros were hot and fresh and the dips, lemon cheese cake and honey lavender(?) paired well with them! A bright, sunny and spacious atmosphere.

We went here after eating at Katz Deli, and it was really good! We ordered 3 churros for $8, and the hot chocolate. Inside is pretty small, but enough to get your food and go. The hot chocolate was sweet and hot. The churro had a nice bite to it and was cooked perfectly and was hot and crunchy outside with cinnamon sugar. The service was fast and they made it right after you ordered. All the food is fresh when they make it for you and it was a memorable place to have churros.

This was surprisingly great. SUPER fresh churros with great mouth feel and flavor. Ice cream was really rich and delicious. Definitely overpriced, but you're eating churros and ice cream in what looks like a futuristic pharmacy in the LES so that's expected. Service was really great too! Very nice and helpful. Fun spot to grab dessert after a night out. Not a ton of seating but there is a very small "dining" area. Most likely you'll be on the street munching.

Really good churros I wish they had a one churro option. But freshly made perfectly crispy, gooey inside and perfect coating of sugar. Hot chocolate was very good maybe too rich for my taste. This was good for 3 people couldn't finish but very good and fresh

Okay I wasn't expecting anything special but boy this spot was pretty fire for some churros. They make your churros FRESH which is probably why this place smells so dang good. I ordered (3 churros) and picked a dipping sauce called Dulce de leche which comes in a decent size cup for dipping. The service was so quick and the churros were delicious! I can't wait to stop by again and try a different dipping sauce

I love a space with lots of light and a spacious interior. Customer service was awesome, and the churros arrived hot and fresh. There was a huge selection of dips, which made the experience even better. Churros are perfect for family nights or date nights.

The churros were tasty and not oily at all! I really liked that. Usually churros are super greasy and crunchy but these were just right. I really want to come back and try different dips, the milk chocolate dip was delicious! The service was really fast and the ambience was clean, white lighting and not so packed.

Not sure what the hype is about El Churro. Its a churro. I mean, the shop is large, its well lit, spacious, they play good music, and it's open late. I guess I see the appeal?The only reason we made a pit stop here was because my gelato shop was closed. We ordered the 3 churros with the honey lavender white chocolate dip along with the milk chocolate dip. The dips were $3.50 each and the portion was a lot for the amount of churros we had. Unfortunately, I don't think they paired well with churro and were excessively sweet. The churro themselves were fairly large. I was expecting a stretchy/airy churro but it was pretty average. I ended up going back to try their soft serve. The staff was super friendly and offered a sample prior to purchase. I ended up ordering the Horny Unicorn which was essentially a mixed berry flavor soft serve. It was good and made up for the gelato I didn't have.

It's funny people think this place is an MLM - I honestly thought the churros were solid and are a great deal. Staff is really friendly - it's kind of a confusing order process because there's a long counter and no distinct line, but you basically choose your type of churro and the dipping sauce you want. I got their regular churros (you get three huge pieces!) and dulce de leche cream to go with it (their most popular). They were warm and fresh! Definitely a consideration for late night dessert if you're in the area. My friend also really likes this place because they're also gluten-free. When we came in February time they shaped the churros as hearts which is so cute! Would go back if I'm in the area. Plenty of seating in the back on high top tables also which is helpful considering the LES area/that block doesn't really have that many public places to sit.
