Choose between the dining room and a bar counter from where guests can view the live action in the kitchen. We chose the chef’s selection at El Cigró d’Or, and it was absolutely amazing! Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor — a perfect balance of creativity and Catalan tradition. “El Cigró d’Or” means “The Golden Chickpea,” and it really fits — this place is a little golden gem. The staff were super friendly and spoke English and French. Highly recommended!

One of our top two favourite meals during our two week Spain holiday. The value of the 50€ tasting menu was unbeatable. Great selection of thoughtfully curated wines by the glass to complement our meal. The quality of the meal itself was exemplary. We will 100% return when next in the area, highest recommendation.

Quiet, innovative, but could be run a bit better. We were glad to be seated without reservation at 1:20pm. Sone tables are simple wood, some have white cloth. The menu looks very interesting, and the choices were unusual. We had a black rooster and a pork dish, very different interpretations. Good, not amazing. The service is attentive, mostly young people. The menu was in catalan, one was available in English. Choice of plates and cups could be better.

Menu of 26 euros really tasty 😋 service was excellent. Food was great, the starter was creme and humus caneloni, delicious, the main course cod fish and beef meat that was also great. Dessert just OK.

This place comes with a warning: Food is addictive! Amazing experience, service and reasonable price for an art-meal...you see and feel art as you eat. The level of cuisine is basically "above" the average. With a 23€ menu meal with wine and bread at this level of experience is basically "unknown". I recommend it for all occasions including special ones. The place resonates history, catalan arquitecture and beauty. Thanks for giving me an experience which will be long remembered. I will come again if I am in the area, no doubt!

We chose the tasting menu for two, and 5 out of the 7 dishes served were just salads or vegetables. A complete disappointment. We expected much more from such a renowned place. We won’t be coming back — what a waste.

Had a fantastic lunch here! 5 Star quality!! Got the menu of the day: lovely salad and the chickpea puré to start; the lamb shoulder, bacalao, the Coral (fish) with eggplant, lamb stew, and pickled pork for second course. For dessert, the lemon gelato and cinnamon cake. EVERYTHING was amazing! The fish and lamb melted in your mouth. Very inexpensive for such high quality food! €108 for 6 people.

Our best meal of our trip! We had a fantastic meal at El Cigró d'Or on Sunday. Since the menu was only in catalán, we depended on our kind and attentive server, Viel. He is fluent in English, so he was able to describe the menu perfectly to us. The tasting menu was delicious, the wine perfect. I would go back to Vilafranca del Penedés solely for this wonderful restaurant.
