El Compita Taquería

Another great taco find in Mexico City. These are Tijuana style so bigger than others and topped with tons of guac! There was a short line when we got there but they were super efficient and we only had to wait about 5 minutes. All tacos made to order and they were delicious! Also- loved the salsas which had some real spice to them!

One of my favourite taquerías in CDMX! My favourite was the quesadilla chica, however, I also enjoyed their birria tacos too. Overall, they are very generous with their filling and found that two portions was more than enough per person. Would definitely go back!

I am writing this review with deep disappointment and concern. As soon as I walked into the taqueria, a group of staff members referred to me using a racial slur ("Chino") and spoke about me as if I could not understand them. This experience was shocking and caused immediate and significant emotional distress. My heart started pounding, and the incident left me feeling speechless, uncomfortable, and anxious, even now as I reflect on it. To be clear, this rating is not about the food, which I was unable to enjoy due to the staff's conduct. This review is solely about the unacceptable racism I experienced. To the management: This behavior is unacceptable. No customer should ever be subjected to racism or discrimination. I have visited Mexico City twice in the last two years because I genuinely love the city, but this single incident was so egregious that it seriously makes me reconsider ever returning. I urge potential customers to be aware of the extremely unprofessional and racist conduct of the staff. Avoid this place.

Best tacos we had in Mexico City! great portions, great prices, and flour tortillas too! El Compita Taquería was easily the best taco spot we found in Mexico City. The tacos were flavorful, generously portioned, and reasonably priced exactly what you'd want from a local taquería. One thing that really stood out for me was that they offered flour (harina) tortillas as an option, which was perfect since I’m not a big fan of corn tortillas. The salsas were fresh and tasty, the meats perfectly seasoned, and the whole vibe was casual and welcoming. If you're in the city and craving authentic, satisfying tacos without the touristy markup, this is the spot.

Super good. The tacos are on the bigger side, which is nice. Pork & guac was great, as well as the birria with the consomé.

El Compita for the win! Best tacos I had in Mexico City! I had a Taco Birria, a quesadilla and chorizo taco. All of them delicious 😋

A bit of a different experience from the regular street stall type tacos that you get! I have to say I think my preference is still carnitas style tacquerias, but this place was great. The sirloin steak taco i had gotten were awesome, a lovely char flavour but not one bit overcooked. What I particularly enjoyed about this spot actually was the use of white beans in the salsa, they were a lovely addition.

They have vegetarian and vegan options! The tacos veggie de adobada are incredible!
