El Copitas

Excellent bar with great communication. If you want first-class delicious Mexican inspired drinks and snacks for a decent price, be sure to make a reservation with this place when you find yourself in Saint Petersburg. The interesting habits, friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere truly make El Copitas one of the best bars in the world. I will most definitely come back the next time I am in this city.

Incredible, but YOU HAVE TO CALL. I can't stress this enough. It's through the residential courtyard at the address, but it's completely unmarked and the door is locked. Basically everyone spoke English, so don't let this deter you from calling and trying. Note: ONLY OPEN ON THE WEEKEND Everyone was warm and inviting. Plus the food was crazy legit. I did not expect to have a pitch perfect taco in Russia, but there you go! This is a real speakeasy experience. Maybe even the highlight of our two week trip.

probably the coolest atmosphere of any bar in SPb + great service, always varied always excellent soft tacos and cocktails. it's a good day when we have an excuse to finish the evening here ;)

The best bar ever. It deserves to be on top 50 in the world. It is very secret, so it is hard to find it as the entrance is from a small courtyard. We didn't have a reservation, but we were lucky that some people did, so one of the waiters came out to meet them, otherwise we would have never found it. So, make a reservation or at least call in advance, so someone will come outside to meet you. The whole experience with the team names, food and drink ordering is so interesting. The staff speaks English and everyone is extremely friendly. You even get a welcome drink and a sweet chocolate drink at the end. Go and check it out!

El Copitas has got everyone wondering"how do I even get in there", and it is rather fair that finding out just how long in advance you've got to book makes you think "maybe I don't.." But though it really is a pain to grab a seat in this legendary bar, the experience justifies everything. It's amusing to realize they chose not to directly expand or relocate when fame struck the place, and the ability of El Copitas to retain its underground atmosphere while being renowned as one of the best bars in the world (as according to reliable ratings) really is something. This atmosphere sets a pace that compels customers to drain glass after glass of always new creative authentic cocktails, while bantering with the lovely bunch their team are. It is far more than worth the premium-ish pricing and the wait for your booking to knock back a few in there, whether you are a young party-goer, are planning a fun date or are a jaded cocktail-connoisseur that wants to try something new.

Great hidden speak-easy kinda place. There is not a lot of room, but it makes it cozy and private. Great place to try mix drinks based on Mexican Mezcal and Mexican style food. Very nice staff, and we got a complimentary warm drinks to go, which was very useful in cold Russian winter. Make sure to call them to reserve the space, as the capacity is limited!
