Google
Really fun. Only complaint is that there is no chairs. This doesn’t feel like a consortium holdings bar at all. The beer vending machine is so cute. The drinks are fantastic and well priced

Google
This is my favorite cocktail bar in san diego. Great happy $9 dollars on a great selection of cocktails. Menu is always changing so always something new to try. There is free popcorn and staff are always welcoming 😊.

Visited this place on a Tuesday, it was open Mic night. Environment is super chill and bar tender was very friendly. A great selection of cocktails and beers. Enjoy!

Google
This really gets 3.5, just not quite a 4. Good selection of cocktails. Cool old Western dive bar feel and a nice change from some pretentious cocktail places. Cocktail pricing is middle of the range around $13.

Google
Came in on a quiet Monday night for a last drink. Definitely not as intensely themed as CH's other places, which in this instance was a good thing. The slightly divey vibe was counter to the quality of the drinks which was excellent, and it was nice to have a place where we could grab a drink and chat. Looking forward to coming back again on a busy night where the ability to have a quiet conversation is less possible.

Google
I dunno if this is the actual home of the craft cocktail or not but for me it is. These guys are always innovating in their cool little space in East Village. A gem for the neighborhood and a cool and often trendy place to hang out that attracts folks from all over San Diego.

Google
Nice bar. Good selection of cocktails. The DJs always have the right beat to choose. Nice staff..cool place.

Google
Amazing happy hour and great bartenders. If you’re looking for a hole in the wall experience, this is your place complete with vintage decor and cozy vibes. They also have a DJ booth and dance floor with disco ball for those who like to dance.

Yelp
I really love the local neighborhood vibe of this place mingled with the classy cocktail bar vibe. It's interesting but it's somehow kind of works. Yeah the DJ comes in and starts doing stuff around 9:00 or so, but man they're happy hour that goes until then is freaking awesome! $3 off so many of their cocktails is a really awesome deal. We had a margarita type drink that was really good, and pink somehow. And then I had a old-fashioned that was smoked, making me feel even more like a man, wafting a bonfire while drinking my bourbon.

Jen N.

Yelp
Went on a Wednesday after a day Padres' game. They had just opened, which meant no crowds and happy hour time! The bartender was very welcoming and chatted with us about some of his favorite local spots. We went for the happy hour menu first. I had the daiquiri, which was well balanced - not too tangy, not too sweet. After that I went with the East Village Rickey, as I had heard good things. For those that are not always fans of mezcal, you might still like this. Not too smoky and nice and refreshing. I'm not sure what it's like in the later hours, but we enjoyed our time watching the after work crowd make their way in. Feels like a great neighborhood bar without getting too divey. Would definitely return.

Josh M.

Yelp
Used to be dope but since the people from Seven Grand bought it, it's gone to shit. $16 for a weak ass cocktail? It used to be a chill dive spot with dj's and dance floors. Now they're trying to be something they're not or and it shows. What used to be packed is now dead. Service is slooowww too. And the drinks... one tiny measured pour with a ton of mixer for $16+? Who do they think they are?and where do they think they are? If I wanted overpriced shitty drinks I'd go to douchey Gaslamp. If you're gonna charge that much at least make it a heavy pour. RIP the old El Dorado

Yelp
Stevie is thee bartender of all time! Came by on a whim out of town, and he showed the most hospitality and friendly vibe anyone could ask for.

Courtney D.

Yelp
Really loved the vibe of this place. Grabbed cocktails with some friends and sat in one of their nice comfy booths. The girls liked their drinks and I loved the vintage rain lamps behind the bar.

Charles F.

Yelp
I can't express how great the staff is!!! Steve, Malcolm, Mike, Jean-Luc are amazing. I'm an introvert by nature, my first time in San Diego, so me feeling comfortable around people is a 0. BUT they made me feel so comfortable that it was like walking into my neighborhood bar and comfortable in being more open. I can't wait to see this crew when back next month!!!

Simon S.

Yelp
I have been here many times and honestly never really ran into any issues so I may return in hopes of raising the score here or at least understanding why things happened the way they did. I was in on a Thursday night and there was one (female) bartender and a (female) barback - the bar was not busy (less than 15 people in the place). I sat down at the bar and waited about 5 minutes for the bartender to come up to me - she walked by about 4 or 5 times without acknowledging me, she finally stopped by and I ordered my drink, tipped 18%, all was good... or so I thought. After about 15 minutes a few more people trickled in and I was ready to order another drink. I motioned a few times politely and was not getting anywhere - the barback actually stopped by to take my order. I paid for the same drink (nothing complicated mind you) and waited about 10 minutes as the bartender served other guests. I got up to walk about for a few minutes then came back to the bar to inquire about my drink, she said that she was indeed aware of the drink order and nothing else. So I sat down and waited, I watched as she started to clean the bar and fill other orders for another 5 or 10 minutes. I finally flagged down the barback and she helped me out with a beer. I am not sure if she didn't like me or thought I was someone that she didn't like, but the service was just rude. I could say that she was having a bad day, but she seemed happy - striking up conversations with other customers and serving up other orders. I ended up waiting 25 minutes and paying $15 for a beer from the cooler.

Yelp
Hi. I went last night for the first time since c-19. The drinks are excellent, she forgot to mull the sugar cube, bitters and cherry in my old fashioned but since there's no well, the top shelf bourbon made up for it. However, my two drinks were $16 dollars a piece. The bill was almost $40. Took me off guard. Don't go here, please. Nobody actually does after the first time. Pretty sure it's just a cocaine money laundering operation or something. I saw the signs pretty clear from bars in Hollywood. I'm going back today to pay off the rest. Chi-Chi's is a total dive and you have to have cash but their bartenders are better it's across the street and you can get a good red wine for $4 and a 24 oz. beer for $3. If you want some great drinks and service, House of Blues is your bar. And! The ladies are insanely hot there. Goodness! Blessings, Father Ward ps: Mary and Christ didn't double the 2 gallons of wine a piece for the 30 person wedding at Cana to condemn anyone for drinking! Look it up! John 2.

Yelp
DO NOT GET BOTTLE SERVICE!!!! We got bottle service, and all we got was a bottle! They put us in a booth, which apparently you were allowed to just sit in.... there were people sitting all around us that did not get bottle service. People were dancing almost on our booth... at some point somebody picked up one of our bottles and tried to pour a drink... If you want to go to this place... It is super fun, but just buy drinks at the bar! Because the bottle service is literally just a bottle... Nothing special! They say their bottle service is the cheapest in town and you get what you pay for.

Jane A.

Yelp
STIFF COCKTAILS AND HIPHOP When your friends say "let's go out for one drink" that actually translates to "we're getting drunk tonight". At this very bar, I found out Cardi B is affiliated with the bloods (be drunk and listen carefully to her words). Ironically the DJ plays Lil Wayne right after. I can get down with that! We came here because my friend knew one of the resident DJs who plays hiphop. Definitely feeling the music of 90s and early 2000 hiphop with some new skool hiphop. We were SO excited to hear our genre of music, it was like finding a hidddn gem spot that plays hiphop in a city that is filled with edm bars and clubs. The bar is small, chill, and the drinks are stiff! They are mixed well but the alcohol is a creeper. The bartenders are super cool! Very tiny dancefloor, long bar with stools, seats, and 4 booths. We got a booth and posted up. I'm not sure how one Daquari turned a few which turned into shots of Jamie which turned bar hopping, then passing out in an Uber back to my car, which turned into sleeping in my car until 4:30am, and wasting my entire Sunday with a throbbing headache and sleeping all day. So irresponsible of of me, I know! But it does feel good leading up to that point. Omg Good times, good times. Until the next outing...

Yelp
This Legendary San Diego cocktail bar is back with a vengeance. Awesome happy hour, awesome staff, excellent vibes all around. Excellent place to come on any evening, but especially after a baseball game. An elevated experience in a friendly package.

Carole B.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. A good place for friends to meet and enjoy the view of the golf course.

Yelp
Visited El Dorado this past weekend based off someone in our group's recommendation because they play hip hop music here! A parking lot is located right next to the bar which is super convenient! Unfortunately, it's not a free parking lot =[ We arrived EARLY at 9:30pm on a Saturday before the DJ started playing music. There was no cover at this time and not sure if they do charge at all. It was quite empty but filled up about an hour later. I saw a line to get in while looking out the window. The place is small so there isn't much room to sit or dance, but you can make it work! I never felt cramped inside by either the bar or the dance floor. One thing I really enjoy about smaller bars/clubs is the restroom situation! I NEVER had to wait for a stall to be available and there were only 2! I have mixed feelings about the DJ's choice of hip hop music. He would switch from 90s to what's on the radio today.. then back to 2000's.. it was all over the place. At the same time, the crowd was mixed with different age groups and ethnicities so maybe he was trying to figure out what everyone wanted? Regardless, we had a blast dancing our butts off whenever we enjoyed a song! The drinks here were STRONG in my opinion! There's a drink menu board which is hard to read in the dark and a drink menu in paper form by the bar. I ordered one of their signature drinks - "The Perfect Wave" - which was $12, well drinks were about $7-8, shooters and Jaeger bombs were about $6-7 if I can remember correctly. The bartenders were pretty sociable especially towards the beginning of the night when we were basically the only group there. Kevin, the security guard, was really nice and accommodating! Overall, we had a veryyyy fun night here and will definitely come back!.. it's a cozy, casual, laid back spot with good music and good drinks! Can't go wrong!

Kayla D.

Yelp
This place is badass! The decor is amazing. Music is good. Robbie the bartender has been the best bartender we've met in San Diego, by far. He is so fun and beyond respect... you can tell he has a good mom!

Brad B.

Yelp
I walked into and out of Chee Chee across the street. This place had awseome DJs and great staff. Makes me wish I had a place like this back home. Seemed like the locals like it as well. I can during SDCC and could tell who was con and not. Only later did another con person show up. Both bartenders were great and the floor staff "Wednesday" was awesome when stopped to ask questions. Bar security and staff would get out and dance with us when permitting.

Arnel D.

Yelp
A great place to chill and drink. Easy to get to conveniently located off the freeway on Broadway. Drinks are reasonable and bottle service is available. The booths are small though... The dance floor is a good size for a small group. The music and ambiance is good. I love dark places... It makes ugly people like myself look good lol. And same for others hahaha... And if that doesn't work, after a few drinks, that should do it. Love that they have red stripe and modelo. Remember to tip well... It's worth it! If you're not willing to wait in lines further in downtown, this place is worth the visit. Parking is available on the street or across the street at the public parking lot for a nominal fee. El Dorado, classic and classy in its own way. Cheers!

Audrey C.

Yelp
Great place to go to start off your night of drinking! I usually come here on Friday or Saturday and the place always get packed. Great music all the time. Drinks are pretty good. I usually get the Moscow mule or redbull vodka. Parking can usually be found on 13th or 14th Street.

Missy B.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere here, especially when they have a DJ because they play all the best music! Maybe it's only on a certain night, but every time I've been, the music has been spot on. Drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders are really good at their jobs. They have lots of great cocktails and are quick to offer up a suggestion or two if you're feeling undecided (which I often am). I'm a sucker for popcorn so I always snack on it when I come by. Find me by the popcorn machine! There I'll be, munching away! Overall, this is a really great spot downtown without the tourist vibe. It's got more of a classy dive bar feel - right up my alley!

Johanna M.

Yelp
I'm here on a Friday night, and I'm loving this DJ....seriously. The DJ is spinning straight fire. 90s hip hop and yummy drinks are the perfect mix for a great time. I also love that they have a popcorn machine, so I can munch on something to snack on while I'm drinking. The bartenders here are really good. The atmosphere is dope...they have really great decorations, with an eclectic variety of taxidermy heads. Bartenders are mixing really yummy cocktails with fresh herbs and fruit. I am a sucker for an herbal-y cocktail, and these drinks are really yummy. There is plenty of room to sit or stand...and dance. We were in a corner closest to the window at the front of the space, and enjoyed people watching while listening to 90s hip hop. El Dorado is also on the outskirts of the Gaslamp, The so you're not in the thick of the messiness of the Gaslamp. It's a lot more low-key, and less hectic. Our fave drinks of the night were the Golden Ticket and my buddy had a Kentucky Mule that was also good. I am not a fan of overly sweet drinks, and El Dorado has a really good selection of solid drinks for every drinker.

Andrea V.

Yelp
Great little hole in the wall with decently-priced, delicious drinks. Went on a Friday bc I read on here it was hip-hop night, but it was pretty empty. Went back again on a Saturday & the vibe was better, there was more people & they were dancing. They play these 80's cult classic movies behind the bar & it's always fun to watch oldies. The bartender I had was very sweet when I kept wanting to try new drinks, I told her my taste & her suggestions were on point. My fave spot in Downtown.

Chris G.

Yelp
Jessica /Shannon at the bar is the best.Makes a great cocktail and looks good doing it. Mike is awesome but just for show!!

Kimberly G.

Yelp
I miss the old movies and the popcorn. I really hope it comes back because it added to the special casual night feel of this bar. Anyway post-2020 I love the bartenders they staff. Super friendly and nice. Today Shannon was our bartender and she was extremely helpful with our picky palates. We decided to go off menu and went off of her recommendations for amaro based drinks. She made us feel welcomed and reminded us why we loved El Dorado(other than the movies and popcorn). I am looking forward to our next visit and hopefully they have something for us to snack on like peanuts or popcorn but probably not. So if you are visiting, take some salted cashews to snack on or something of the sort.

Danielle R.

Yelp
Came here with some friends and had a good amount of fun. The place is a little smaller which makes things cozy and fun. The staff was friendly. We had no issues getting through security at the door and the bartender was kind. The prices were kind of high. There were cocktails for $12.00 which is crazy to me. You can buy an entire bottle of liquor for the price of 2 cocktails. I know the price is a bit more normal for San Diego but it is just crazy to me. The bathroom was in kind of rough shape but what I expected for the place. The DJ was pretty fun and was playing good music. Overall, it was a fun place. A small bar with good music but it is a bar for sure, no special perks.

Loribeth U.

Yelp
AMAZING music but bartender with two long black ponytails killed the vibes. The cumbia and reggaeton night Aida put on was liiiit. I decided to spend my first birthday after covid here and the bartender knew. As me and my partner are dancing she decided to start trash talking my man that was dancing with me. We had been tipping her all night (she even charged us for the "on the house birthday drink") I really wanted to have a good birthday after all this tragic losses we have all been going through and her negativity did not bring me the way down but as someone that works in the industry this is NOT how you attract business. Hope to come back only to support the DJs tonight! 11/12/21 !! Every second Friday of the month awesome music

Giena L.

Yelp
So much fun!! The vibe, music and dancing are great. Drinks are delicious, bartenders fun and definitely can make a great cocktail. I was undecided so made it a dealers choice, wish I asked the name of it, but it was perfect and fit the description of what I was looking for..light and refreshing. Would love to come back here. The decor is interesting as well.

Nina H.

Yelp
Fun spot with great music! They have great and decently priced cocktails. It feels like an in-between of a bar and club, because it's not the classiest, but it's definitely a fun night where crowds prioritizing dancing like there's no tomorrow. There are several tables to sit and rest if you don't want to dance.

Glory F.

Yelp
Dude, this bar rocks! I am a sucker for a good ol' cocktail. This place will sure give it to ya! First off, I love the vibey decorations. I arrived at around 11:30pm and the joint had just the right crowd, atmosphere, and music! I really enjoyed reading the cocktail list which had awesome catchy names, decorative cups, and cute-artsy garnish. I was SO happy with my "Clockwork Orange" cocktail. This bar is a great place to stop by if you are in the neighborhood. Don't miss it! instagram: @glowrae

Steve O.

Yelp
GREAT bar. A dive sort of feel, but cleaner and classier. This place takes all kinds. Suits to flip flops, studs to stoners. My Long Island is on point and served by one of the two pretty bartenders. Long bar seats 20+ and cool older style round booths for a little more intimacy if preferred. Enjoy a good time here. Before or after a game....

Kris G.

Yelp
El Dorado is a Divey cocktail bar in downtown SD just outside the more beaten path in Gaslamp and East Village. The basics are: The Staff was awesome and friendly. They have Good drinks They have Popcorn. It is dark inside, but that's what is supposed to be. Most people if they have come here a few times leave with an "El Dorado night" story.

Leslie B.

Yelp
I cannot believe that I was hanging out on Broadway...in the HOOD (ok cannot be bad in San Diego) and was having a great time. Seriously, I used to walk by here at night on my way to a dance studio nearby, and I was looking every which way to see if someone was coming by to mug me....and if it were not for these yelp reviews, I probably would not have set foot in this bar. So, on a Sunday night, good crowd, not packed, the place is mainly full of people living nearby, a few North Park dwellers and some confused foriegners, one wearing his bicycle helmet the entire time. Good to go out on a Sunday without getting kicked out WAY before bartime. I walked in and saw the bartender in his old school tux and knew I could get my beloved sidecar, and proceeded to have several more. These were some of the best I have had in a long time. The juke box doesn't have the biggest selection, but seems to have exactly what I like to listen to: Nirvana, Michael Jackson, old school Willie and Cash! Finally, they have these great big winding booths. They are perfect for snuggling with your honey....or for a party of six. Way to clean up this part of downtown!

Karen A.

Yelp
Noisy AF -- can't hear yourself think. Just pounding crap. Nothing any sane person wants to hear. Sleazy hood especially at night. Mule was good.

Ed M.

Yelp
Neat little dance and bar venue. Cocktails served right and tight and they have a beer menu to also keep you busy. Tabs will vary but I found buying a few drinks normally ran me about $20 after tips. The DJ on a Friday night played the typical hip hop rotation and kept most of the dance floor busy. Good vibes. Fairly clean restrooms. Door guy was super friendly as well. This isn't the largest dance club but it's a decent size to keep everyone busy. The bar was also just a good enough size to step aside to talk to people.

Erika M.

Yelp
I'm a year too late with writing this review. When I heard about this place I was excited to come here and I thought It was in the gas lamp because all my friends hyped this place up. But this place is not in the gas lamp and is in the middle of no where in DT. Street parking is easy to find although I was hesitant and worried that my car would get broken into, because the surroundings was shady. Free cover. Small small place. No room to sit because there is 4 tables and the dance floor is small. The music they played was not great either. The crowd was people in their late 20's to 30's. I wish I came on the "90's night " that's when all my friends would go and would have a blast. If they still do that, I recommend going for that. Their Moscow mules are in mason jars and taste good, it's not strong but will get you buzzed. But their drinks are expensive. El camino has cheaper Moscow mules in a larger cup.

Karyn T.

Yelp
Besides my friend getting roofied, this place is pretty fun. The price points are pretty reasonable so close to downtown. Besides the bar they do have a seating section closer to the dance floor and dj. This place is definitely great for groups of friends or just a date night cocktail. It does feel a little crowded just because the venue is pretty narrow. Our bartender was great and super attentive, everyone was pretty nice!

Karen M.

Yelp
Ok. I love upscale dive bars. This is and is not that. You just gotta come here. A live, active and very cool vibey place to duck into- get a cocktail, chat with Haley and Robbie, chat with others at the bar and make friends. Perfect spot to make it your regular spot. So cool. Oh and by the way, your Visit is NEVER complete until you do a selfie with Otis. @doverhoningco@moselegant1too#cheers#fridayJr #funtimes

Myan T.

Yelp
Hands down the best bar/lounge I've been to in downtown San Diego! I live in downtown LA, so naturally, I compare it with downtown SD. I really, really hate gas lamp and the super cheesy, lame crowd that tends to go out to the venues (the ones that have covers and d-bags... you know what I'm talking about). Anyway, El Dorado reminds me of LA. The area where it's located is quiet- good sign! We walk in and I'm instantly happy. The decor is really classy, with lots of dark wood and warm accents. Signature cocktails are displayed on a board on top of the bar area. Across from the bar area are booths and places to stand, as well as the DJ booth and a dance floor. The drinks are amazing! I judge a cocktail bar by their whiskey sour, and when the bartender asked me if I wanted it traditional or not, an instant star was earned for knowing the difference. I had just come from The Red C so my expectations were really low, lol. Anyway, my friends got Moscow Mules which they made insanely fast, and were yummy! The drinks impressed me, but the music impressed me more and had my group staying til last call. I was here on a Saturday evening, and music was SO SO GOOD. If you like feel-good, funk, old school, etc, then this is the place for you. If you're from LA, this bar reminds me a lot of The Association. I will definitely be back when I'm in SD, and I'm bringing everyone I know!

Ivan K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, the decor is on point, super classy vibe! Lots of vintage/ relic-looking items adoring shelves and walls. Dance vibe is great, cozy dance floor and DJ booth is optimally elevated and classily covered with wooden 2x4s. I had a Net Worth cocktail and definitely thought about getting another one again... it was quite good. The scotch, lemon, and honey notes are hard to beat. However they have so many other great looking cocktails that I have to give them a try. I definitely recommended checking this place out if you're into great cocktails and dance vibes at a bar!

Marisa M.

Yelp
My new favorite bar!!! We stopped here for a girls night out, and had SO much fun! I'm not your typical "downtown" girl, and usually try to avoid that scene at all cost, but El Dorado is so much fun! It's afew blocks away from the main area so it's not super crowded. The vibe here is very laid back, you can wear whatever you want, and they play booty shakin hip hop music! Aside from the awesome vibes, they also have AMAZING drinks here, some of the best I've ever had. The bartenders are all super friendly!

Ericka K.

Yelp
I haven't been out in a while and the one time I decide to go out.. I decide to go to El Dorado because the bartenders are great and the music is usually on point. The music is a direct reflection of the DJ... right? The disappointment with the DJ in the red hoody is indescribable. It was like he was practicing in his room waiting to be discovered by the next karaoke bar or wedding planner. He didn't play one song for more than 15 seconds so as soon as you started to enjoy your few songs he remixed it with something horrible. Like if i wanted to go to Omnia I'd be in that bitch.. If El Dorado wants to amuse an 18 and up crowd.. keep the guy in the red hoody that played on Saturday, December 8, 2018 going into Sunday, December 9th. Then this clown had the music off for longer than he actually played one song. Will not come to El Dorado again.. at least while this 21 year old DJ is here!! Take my advice and don't waste your time.

Julio O.

Yelp
This is the spot to be. Drinks are awesome and bar tenders are great!!!! Reese, Halie, Austin are the best bartenders in Cali!!!! Must come if you are in San Diego!!!

Stephanie I.

Yelp
Great bar to go to if you want to drink, dance, or do both! Signature cocktails are delicious & even more delicioso with their long than most happy hour when you can get them at $6 each. If you're into mezcal, please try la vida loca, their play on a whiskey sour. Aside from the signature cocktails, bartenders are willing to create a cocktail if you just tell them your liquor of choice & what type of drink your looking for (refreshing or spirit forward). Music changes every night & usually it's themed, which by no means is a bad thing (ex. Selena night. Enough said) I would check the night you're going if you're looking for a specific type of music. But overall music is good and they have a dance floor that doesn't get that pack so you're free to dance the night away without anyone stepping on you or bumping into you. Parking is the only negative. They do have a public parking space next to it but it charges $7 for the night if you're there after 7. Best luck is trying to find for street parking which can get tricky since you're in downtown. However once you're in, they offer free popcorn!

Melanio F.

Yelp
Since I have only been in El Dorado when it's barely filled up with patrons, I think it's perfect. I am sure my mind would be changed if I went on a weekend evening and it's filled with too many hipster/hopster. But on the three visits I have come, they were as nice as the cocktail bars I found in University Heights, North Park or Gaslamp. Various cocktails with interesting names, I will add a pic I took. Free popcorn on the nights I have been (tastes like kettle corn) so I have no complaints eventhough I had come from a food tasting event. El Dorado is a dive bar turned hip bar. But don't tell anyone unless they are cool because I don't want any douchies coming. Sometimes they have musicians come and play or a dj. That's cool too. Parking across the street (pay). What else can I say. Something out of the way to visit if you are from out of town near or at East Village.

Josh N.

Yelp
Such a cool spot with one of San Diego's best happy hours. Their handcrafted cocktails are perfection and $6 at happy hour that goes until 9p! Ambience is moody, dark and sexy. Bartenders were friendly and prompt. In the ever up and coming east village area. Sweet spot!

Paulina M.

Yelp
It was my first time going here, I really enjoyed it. They have happy hour cocktails from 5pm-9pm for $5! The music was nice and the Moscow Mules are so good as well! I also got the cha cha cha! If you like tequila and chile you must try it!! Complimentary popcorn if you get the munchies!!! I will add they should be checking in the front entrance who comes in or out, there was like a homeless trying to creep up on all the girls near me lol but besides that it's definitely a place I will come back to get another drink! :)

Yelp
This place was fun. Came here over the summer on a weekend so hot ice cubes could have sizzled on the dance floor. Despite the ridiculous temperatures in and out of the bar, I really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the bartenders and bouncers - they had to have been as insanely hot as we all were (and far less drunk). We had a really good time and I definitely want to check this place out on a weekend that doesn't feel like the inside of the devil's "insert place here."

Yelp
Great cocktail lounge. A friend plays here often. They have great happy hour. I enjoy the venus, laid back but swanky. It's a one of a kind

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. Years! My bartender from Alabama, I believe his name was Dolltom, was absolutely fantastic. His attentiveness to guests and attention to detail was only paralleled by his thick, beautiful, luscious, lioness mane. The popcorn was fresher than Will Smith's fade in Independence Day. I opened the doors, and it was like the lights of Asgard were giving me a good game tap. Drinks were fire, everyone was happy and having a good time. I might have met my future wife in line for the bathroom. And it was all thanks to El Dorado. One Star. I got a parking ticket for leaving my Honda, for believe this, 31 hours out front.

Yelp
Been wanting to check this place out since it's down the street from the bf's place, and we finally did after grabbing a few beers at Monkey Paw on a Friday night. I like the fact it's nothing fancy or pretentious, but just good drinks. Complimentary popcorn has a tasty seasoning that has salt, sugar, and cumin (those are the distinct flavors I could taste). Music was good and they had Conan on TV closest to us. Whaat??? Unfortunately, Conan got cut off and Shaolin Dolemite came on which we ended up bonding over with a fellow patron. It was cool to overhear from one of the bartenders that industry people like to go there to jusr grab a drink after work. I definitely like the vibe since off the beaten path from the gaslamp.

Yelp
Came to El Dorado two saturdays ago after booking a table with Luis Espinoza. Arrived around twelve which is kind of on the late side but were immediately attended to and taken to our booth by Luis. First Impressions: Upon walking in you could tell everyone was having a good time and smiling. The DJ was playing a good mix of current and old school hip hop (apparently this is typical for saturdays). Once we danced for a bit we came back to our table which had been stocked with "mule service". Similar to bottle service but a large maybe 56oz pitcher of moscow mules. The drinks were amazing and Kevin who handled our table made sure our glasses were full. Thanks Kevin! Overall: Our table had a great night! What the bar lacked in size, it made up for with great music, fun atmosphere and great drinks. My friends raved about the venue and we will definently be back. Thanks Luis and Kevin for the outstanding customer service!
