El Enano Mexican Restaurant

We loved this place! The food was absolutely great, chill cozy vibe, the widest selection of Jarritos I've seen anywhere, we got burritos (which were huge and awesome, I got the shrimp one and there was soo much shrimp in it, I loved it), street corn and fried banana cheesecake, we ordered to go but decided to start eating there and they brought us 3 different sauces to try without us even asking. Very nice experience! 🌯

Best elote I've had in ages, and the Jamaica agua fresca was perfect, not too sweet for me. But I was a little disappointed by the sweet potato tacos. They were very fresh, but didn't seem to have much in the way of seasoning. I refused their offer of hot sauce cuz I was eating on the road and didn't want them to be too messy, but that was a mistake. Even so, I'm really happy to have another great Mexican option in the neighborhood, so next time I'll try one of the meat options just in case it's just that they don't put as much focus on the veggie tacos.

Burrito looked so good that I had to roll down my window at a red light to tell someone where I'd gotten it 😂 My go to place for reasonably priced take out dinner in West when I don't have time/energy to cook. Delicious, inexpensive and great service!

Excellent authentic Mexican cuisine. It's small but everything about it is excellent.

The place doesn’t look like much, but it was easily one of the best burritos I’ve ever had in my life. Staff was friendly and checked in often.

Good food, quick service, reasonable prices. The nachos and burritos are stacked with filling, toppings and fresh ingredients. I mostly like the sauce selections the spiciest one is very flavorful. I usually ask for shredded cheese over the melted cheese, just my preference. Ambiance is small but there is good amount of seating.

This is a sweet place! The owner could not have been nicer...so kind! The menu is big, on a large chalkboard. Lots of burrito options and full plate options, burrito bowls, tacos and desserts. It's a small space but has enough tables to comfortably eat your food in the dining room which is what we did. I got a beef burrito with everything and my daughter ordered the burrito bowl with chicken. (They have lots of veggie and vegan options too!) We were both more than pleased with our orders. If you're in the mood for Mexican food, this could be your place!

Fish tacos were great. Large pieces of Fish grilled. It came with slaw. My husband is vegan and he could easily have many options but went for sweet potato tacos. Service was quick and friendly. There's a small place to eat. But I assume most do take out.

Highly recommend as I eat here often now that I work close-by. Shrimp tacos, chicken quesadillas- you can't go wrong. I do prefer the lime, onions and cilantro on everything I order. Also, get the green sauce. Good service! Good ambience.

Wow. Tried this spot for the first time today. Ordered the pork and the walnuts tacos (without cheese). Pork was good with a little citrusy flavor. But I will make a special trip to have the walnut taco again. Add some medium spice sauce for a combination that was delicious! Place is also bright and airy.

Food is solid... No complaints. Not quite the style that I'm used to but still good and fresh. Service always warm and friendly! Try the habanero salsa if you like spicy.

The food is delicious and the service is impeccable. The restaurant is clean. My only complaint is I wish they had a little more meat in the Birria tacos. This is one of my go to spots.

Our food was delicious and came out so fast! The owner was as nice as can be. I ordered the Puebladelphia burrito and was craving it later that night, the next day, etc. My husband ordered a bowl with yuca added - yuca is an unusual option for Mexican restaurants in Philly and it really worked well. El Enano is an excellent addition to the immediate neighborhood and to the Mexican food scene in West Philadelphia. Great prices, too.

We ordered take out from these folks last night and it was delicious! We had ground meat tacos, a fish burrito and chicken enchiladas. The food was not too spicy, just right. The portions were very generous - enough for two meals really! The food was ready and waiting when we picked it up, still hot when we got home. We will definitely go again. A great addition to the neighborhood.
