"A breath of fresh air for the dining scene in Sanlúcar. This restaurant, located inside the Posada de Palacio hotel opposite the town hall in the centre of the Barrio Alto district, combines a rustic-contemporary layout with antique furnishings in keeping with the architecture of the building (as an example, one of the dining rooms occupies the former stables). The à la carte features modern cooking that showcases local ingredients, alongside two tasting menus with a strong focus on presentation. A large choice of sherries by the glass are also available." - Michelin Inspector

Nice work team -- between the chef's inspired tasing menu and our waiter's sherry pairings we had a most memorable meal. I've eaten quite a few oysters in my time but never like the oyster with apple and coconut. Muchas gracias.

Great lunch on a friday. Salmorejo was very good and the solomillo too. The tuna tartar, in my opinion, was overseasoned. Tuna quality was very good. Service also efficient professional not too stiff or formal. And the wine recommend I enjoyed a lot. The cava could have been colder. The espresso was good to finish it all off. There was no room to try the desert. Perhaps next time.

We very much enjoyed two evenings at this great restaurant, a wonderful space with tables in the courtyard and an inside space both at the front of the restaurant and to the side of the courtyard. The menu is simple, with great local produce and creative cooking. As a lover of Sherry I enjoyed some seriously good wines recommended by the guys who looked after us, including some very limited VOS and VORS wines. The wine list was packed with some super interesting local wines from the Cadiz province as well as some bargains from the classic regions of Spain. Thank you team, we will return.

Great food in a lovely setting. We sat in the courtyard. Like the stunning Pandorga PX from Cota 45 and a great pairing of Obispo Gascòn Palo Cortado with their deconstructed tocino de cielo.

We had the "Menu Corto" for lunch. And this one was marvelous. We were also advised by Javier to take matching Sherry wines. This made everything even a bit more spectacular.

Yelp
This restaurant is my absolute favorite in Sanlucar! I love sitting outside on their quaint, romantic patio. Most of the staff speaks English as well as Spanish, and the menu is in both languages as well. Some of my favorite items on the menu are: - Pork cheek and apple ravioli - Sous-vide glazed chop with potatoes - Duck magret in red wine with pear and raisin compote - Nectarine with vanilla and yogurt ice-cream Be sure to make a reservation a couple days in advance, especially if you want to go on the weekend. They are usually fully booked.

Yelp
well we ate here last night after finding this gem on yelp. thanks yelpers! Amazing really..maybe 4.5 stars total. but rounding to 5. portions are between tapas and a plate so get a few and share. prices very reasonable. and creativity is deep. started with a tataki tuna w. wakame that was really really great. my wife is Japanese and very picky when it comes to Japanese foods... a real winner this plate. next up was then 3 house croquettes which were a bit underwhelming after that first salvo. i'd skip them next time...second real plate was cuttlefish carbonara. well we went a bit adventurous here and boy did it pay off! the single finest plate i've had in 12 months probably... or at least top 3. delicious it was. udon noodle, egg, squid ink (not a lot, just right) and squid. truly one for the treasure chest. 3rd up was octopus...which can often get chewy. not this plate though PERFECTLY cooked which i guess is hard cuz i often i am not so much a fan of pulpo. puree of potato was its bed. 4th up was covina a white fish which was excellent and perfectly prepared. nothing to blow me away, but solid great food. had an amazing green nettle sauce that was a standout. yum. 5th was a meat dish the rib which was slow cooked and tender but really the sauce was a letdown. fine and all, but with what came before it was not up to that level. finally the 2 desserts tiramisu and white chocolate "soup" with biscotto were not really great perhaps it was our choices as other things looked good too. i tried a local white by the glass and found it too dense. switched to a bottle of Rueda which was more to my test fresh and lively. and only 10 euro a bottle. whole meal was 80 euro for 2 of us. terrific dining room staff... cannot be underestimated the service here. excellent. the space is wonderful as well high ceilings, art, not too loud. lighting perfect. we sat inside as were advised the patio was too windy. glad we did. meal was a 2.5 hour gastronomic marvel. thank you El Espejo!
